A beautiful, peaceful property with plenty of character. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was excellent, and the staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. We also really enjoyed the pool and the relaxing atmosphere. The massages were exceptional and among the highlights of our stay.

All rooms are Villa type. Very spacious and clean. The toilets are spacious and has a open to sky shower. The amenities in the room great and the bed sizes are big and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and there are three different restaurants. The restaurant by the river side is a great spot to enjoy dinner in the evening.

There is nothing as such. The open to sky toilet attracts some bugs and dust and that is a small detail to complain. but it is cleaned regularly. so can be overlooked.

Great place to unwind with a resort like feel. Location wise its far from the city but if you have a car, no issues.

Service level of the staffs are good. Happy with cleanliness and overall quality of the facility.

1. The location is remote yet safe and beautiful. 2. Its blended with the nature, surrounded by greenary, peacocks and fresh air. 3. The staff are really friendly and very helpful and even arranged additional requests. 4. The stay was super peaceful. 5. The coffee shop, the fish feeding and the krishna temple are a nice addition at the property. 6. Breakfast buffet was good.

1. The food except breakfast buffet is not great, the standard was mediocre. 2. Bathrooms have open showers and this causes lot of insects, lizards and frogs to come in. 3. The spa was not the greatest, 5000 for a 45 min average massage wasnt the greatest experience

Nothing to dislike - maybe if you are staying a bit long you may want to try something other than south indian for food. Perhaps they may want to expand the menu.

Property is neatly maintained , food was awesome. Taste of the Water is very good.

Breakfast was an exceptional spread of South (india, Continental spread. With a wide variety of fruits, juices, and live counter for Dosa and made to order eggs. Every item was made with care and excellent quality, taste.

I liked everything. Though I can give feed back, in the sitting area they can provide a wall fan as it gets sweaty in the summer and a fan will be helpful to enjoy the garden view. Also a children play area with slides, swing will be good for parents bringing children.

The breakfast buffet and the pool plus the tea kadai were amazing❤️❤️

The room could have been spacious.. And there was no refill of certain things like brushes and no housekeeping while we were gone

Great service, food & rooms .Overall excellent property .The property itself is huge and has lot of amenities.They have a tea shop which is authentic and not to be missed.Overall highly recommended

Dinner food non veg items really not good. Because all gravy made one same masala. Only chicken or mutton change. We we stay and ordered same time I inform the staff this items not good.

Excellent place to stay. Good homely food. Ramesh and Vinod Kumar in the front desk were outstanding and found them very hospitable addressing to customer requirements efficiently and cheerfully. Special appreciation to them.

House keeping and cleanliness needs to be improved. Felt house keeping department was not up to the mark. A bit unprofessional it seemed with no supervision. Only after I raised the issue it improved a bit. But certainly needs improvement.

Both breakfast and dinner were both good with a good range of options available. The room was large and comfortable with spectacular surroundings. The ayurvedic massage was an amazing experience with traditional and well trained people providing the service. The Tea-Kadai, an authentic 1970 snack place provided and absorbing experience of older village type of an experience.

None. It met all our expectations needed for a great and relaxing stay.

It’s a beautifully designed campus and the villas are charming and comfortable. The staff provided good service. Food was good.

It’s a distance from the temples we were visiting but the charm was also because it was away from the crowds

The location was serene . Aesthetically pleasing property . Teresa was a great help . Staff were always available to help with my elderly father . I hope to revisit in near future

The food needs to be improved

A very beautiful, aesthetically pleasing property in Kumbakonam to use as a base for visiting numerous temples! The staff is just wonderful and attentive! The rooms are a treat with traditional bathrooms yet with modern comfort! The in-house restaurants offer decent food! Really enjoyed the coffee/tea at the Tea Kadai!! Overall a fabulous stay!!

Absolutely nothing! Everything was top notch. It is a pricey facility but I guess you pay true atmosphere and the facilities!

The welcome was very pleasant. Our bungalow was comfortable, with a shower with open roof. The resort is spacious, well maintained, with gardens, swimming pool, butterfly garden, peacocks, shrines with water features. The food was good with fresh ingredients. We did some pottery and floating light offering (complementary). Overall it exceeded our expectations

The peace - the location of our room on the edge of the resort away from main thoroughfares and therefore more privacy when on terrace

There was nothing we disliked about the property the reason for our rating (which would otherwise be an 8) is that neither of the cars arranged for us by the hotel firstly to visit a temple and secondly to return to the airport had functioning seat belts and this after we complained about the first car and were assured that the second car would be safe and have functioning seat belts.

It was an Excellent experience: the location and amenities are incredible; the staff extremely kind and helpful. Professional, beautiful bedrooms, and classy place to enjoy the temple town. The property is in a incredible natural place. It's so Quiet , clean and beautiful . Also the aromas are authentic of South India. I loved it all, especially the delicious food and Ayurvedic massage. Very Grateful

Perfect staff in a perfect place !

Every element of the stay was beyond expectations - the soothing impact pervades every part of the property. The staff are extremely friendly and warm with a positive vibe at all times. A two day stay was the right duration as well to experience all aspects - the tea kadai with the ever smiling lady making tea and tasty snacks, feeding fishes, the spiritual ambience at the two main temples within the campus and the smiling staff at the restaurant. Special call out to Ranjith and Selvakavi at the restaurant. Thank you very very much. Last but not the least - unbelievable company of peacocks :). Thank you once again. We will be back.

Waiting time at the restaurant post order could be better!

Our recent stay at Mantra Koodam was memorable and serene. The resort is truly wonderful — beautifully maintained, peaceful, and an ideal retreat. The facilities are excellent, and the commitment to a plastic-free environment is commendable. We also appreciated the thoughtful in-room touches such as herbal body wash and shampoo, which reflect the eco-friendly philosophy of the property.

There are some areas where we feel improvements could make the experience even better: 1. Customer Service Responsiveness: While some staff members were outstanding — in particular, Naturist Karthik and Guru from the restaurant — the overall responsiveness could be improved. Requests such as drinking water or buggy service often took a long time to be addressed. Some staff could benefit from further training in hospitality industry etiquette and proactive guest service. 2. Breakfast Service Timeliness: Breakfast is advertised to start at 7:30 am, but on multiple days certain items were not ready until close to 8:00 am. As many guests stay here for temple visits and need to leave early in the morning, timely availability of breakfast would be greatly appreciated.

So far no if I come next time will identify ,I underwent small incident,my car backside glass was broken by hitting a tree which was in the middle of the parking slot..I came to know that my car is the 3rd one in the same place..kindly do the needful to arrest this type of incident in future ..

The location of the resort makes it an absolutely serene setting to relax and wind down from the hustle and bustle of the city life. I had a great time here and would absolutely recommend it.

I have stayed here multiple times and always had the best time!

Only the location was very remote, away from any road or landmark and almost 12 km away from Kumbakonam. So if you do not have a car all the time at your disposal, you are confined inside the resort gates only. Rest everything is excellent.

Food. And the management's unresponsive behaviour with respect to our problems with the food. We'd booked an all meals plan. I fell food-sick after the very first dinner. We then repeatedly requested that our plan be changed to breakfast only and the extra funds totalling 10.5K be refunded. There was NO response to that during our stay. Later, we receive a proforma email that this couldn't be done since we hadn't booked directly but through Booking.com. We ended up going out every single day for lunch and dinner after I recovered, spending extra money and being inconvenienced. Notwithstanding its other nice aspects, we would not go back to this or the the group's other resorts.
