Spacious & Lovely Aurora Apartment I FREE Parking

The apartment is excellently situated near Prestvannet Lake, which is renowned for Aurora watching. It is easy to stroll out to the lake in five minutes and catch the lights when they appear. It is a pretty house and the neighbors downstairs are very friendly. The interior is well designed with a large room for the kitchen, dining area, and two seating areas. The bathroom is spacious with a spar bath and a particularly useful drying room. This room had underfloor heating and was super warm. The apartment also has two balconies. Beds were comfortable. So all in all stylish and spacious.

The apartment was expensive - everything in Norway is - and you expect perfection for more than £2,000 for six nights. But there were a number of issues. One was that the ground source heat pump was not working. In the Norway winter, this is very disappointing. Looking at reviews, this had been the case since last December. An engineer was sent but he couldn't fix the system. The property managers had put in portable heaters for each room, which kept the edge off, but the apartment was cold. Another issue was that the drive got super icy and scary to walk on, and there was no grit available. There was a small bag in the lobby but that belonged to the downstairs neighbors. The management brought more grit when requested, but I would have thought that grit would be available for the apartment without asking. Instructions were minimal. Had to work out how to use all the appliances by trial and error. We had to ask the managers to come in and show us how to use the TV. Then there were small things: no side plates in the kitchen, no drying up cloths. In the bedrooms, no bedside tables. The property looked smart but a few lamps and rugs would have made it cosy.

Unfortunately the air condition was not working so it was freezing cold every time we returned home.

The apartment is amazing, just as shown in the pictures and is just across the road from Prestvannet Lake which is great for aurora spotting Also managed to see nacreous clouds from the apartment balcony Just make sure you have ice grips as the driveway can become very icy Always very quick to respond Would definitely recommend

Amazing place, host & location We got three days in a row aurora experience with zero cost (no tour needed), just walking distance to lake prestvannet which has the best aurora view.

Clean, heaters are available for winter, kitchen is equipped well, free parking, quiet.

This is a lovely apartment, perfect for exploring Tromsø as its only a short walk to the center. It's a short drive from the airport and is easy to find. The hosts were very helpful and we had all the Information we needed before we arrived.
