Apartment in Ålesund city center (Storgata)

We had a short stop in Aalesund to see some local sights including the Geirangerfjord. This is a cosy apartment 2 minutes walk from the bus station and inner docks, and just a few more minutes walk to other amenities. It has everything you'd need for a short or mid term stay - TV, washer/dryer, plenty of space, full kitchen.

Just a heads up that whilst in Aalesund in August 2025, there is a warning to boil water in the city before drinking - and you can do that here with the kettle provided.

Location, big roomy apartment with all amenities. Great to have a clothes washer and dryer!

It took some time to figure out how to get the stove top to work. Some printed instructions would really help those unfamiliar with this type of stove. The secret is to put a pan on the burner. There are sensors. Also , instructions for the TV would also help... but ,we didn't really use it.

Location was excellent, very close to the pier. Apartment was very clean.

The instruction for finding the key was too vague. The person living above the apartment was up and walking around, listening to music from about midnight to sunrise both nights we were there.

Very spacious and clean apartment. good location for walking to attractions in town and cruise terminal. Only 3 minutes walk from bus station ( From airport) .short walk to supermarket .Fully equipped kitchen. Owner is very responsible to answer your questions.

Bad insulation. You can hear noise from street.

Noisy neighbors and no housekeeping services. Early check-in around 2.00pm is much appreciated.

Location was perfect for exploring all of Alesund. Spacious and comfortable, plenty of kitchen equipment.

It was a bit of a challenge trying to figure out how the space heaters worked. Directions to the location of the key lockbox could be improved, but we eventually located it!

Excelent location, very comfortable for a couple, all appliances were in good working order.

For those of us living closer to the equator, sunny nights are very unusual. Better curtains to block the sunlight into the room will help us sleep even better. Nothing major but for the host to consider.

Location perfect. Walkable to the port, plenty of cafes around. Apartment fully equipped and more. Quiet area. Had a small problem on arrival and owner was there within 10 mins and sorted it.

Common entrance dated and shabby but don't let that put you off as the apartment itself is totally different.

The location is very good, the host is friendly and helpful and the flat has all the amenities.

Perfect location and only one block from Main Street. You can feel that host is very conscious the needs of customers. There is no lack of attention to details like garbage bags and cleaning stuff. The extra point is availability of parking. Parking is available for a fee (about 3 dollars an hour depending on first or second hour).

The building is old and the lock box could be in a better place and lighted. You can barely see the digits to open the box let alone an old guy with bad eyesight. This old building has poor noise proof. Any sound on the street would heard inside the room.

Fantastic location in city center with walking distance to everything.and good parking possibilities. The apartment was very clean and comfortable.

Maybe a better blackout blind in the bedroom for the midnight sun but I loved this place. Seriously nothing I didn't like. Best apartment I've ever rented like this.

Location is perfect. 2 mins to the water, and the airport bus, and taxi stand, and right next to one of the main Art Nouveau streets. Walkable to main bus station. Light airy apartment with comfortable chairs, sofa, washing machine, kitchen and utensils and good WiFi. Lockbox code sent a couple of days ahead which is much better than last minute, with good description and photos

Size of the bedroom means bed is against the wall on one side which might not be easy for some.

great location! very nice apartment, spacious, it has comfortable bed. yeah, it is a bit dated - but for us that was the vibe :) apartment was very clean and the fact that it was equipped in everything you may need and more says that the host is very thoughtful :) I also loved heated floor in the bathroom. PS if you are visiting during the weekend, please mind that there is local pub nearby and you may hear it. as we weren't able to change that - we decided to join :) so now I can also recommend great beer and nice staff in that pub!

Everything was perfect

My parents visited me for a few days. The house was very clean and equipped. They enjoyed their stay very much and for sure they would book it again. The house has everything from a washing machine to iron, clean towels, sheets, kitchen appliances etc. The location is just in the center and there is also a nearby market. Also, the host was able to answer our questions in a very short time when we contacted. Overall, would definitely choose this place again!

A very decent stay really near the centre. Not the highest quality but clean and functional. A lot of space too and the kitchen was fully equipped. Would stay again.
