The Treehouse - Raglan Holiday Studio

Just a great experience all round. Beautiful property, wonderful location, stylish space, friendly hosts - and all in the lovely town of Raglan. Would give this place 20 out of 10 if booking.com let me. We really enjoyed our few days staying here and are already planning to come back. If The Treehouse visitors' book is any guide, everyone else who stays here feels the same way.

Idyllic location, warm and comfortable

Such a lovely cottage surrounded by nature with a view of Lorenzen Bay from the balcony. The cottage was well fitted, comfortable and clean, with a few provisions provided for us. Communications to get to the property and information provided at the cottage was excellent. Accessing the cottage due to the tide was not an issue for us. Liz and Rod were very welcoming and provided a kayak with life jackets for us to use during our stay. Everything was perfect and we would happily stay again.

A unique place to stay, we loved it.

The view and the surrounding gardens were spectacular. Extra happy they had a samsung TV to watch regular shows we like at home at night.

When it was very windy the foliage would bang against the wall at night but you can't fault a place for weather.

C’est une expérience originale et dépaysante. L’accueil est chaleureux et bienveillant. L’emplacement est particulièrement unique, offrant un panorama très différent selon la marée basse ou la marée haute, ce qui rend le séjour vraiment intéressant. Les propriétaires mettent des kayaks à disposition, ce qui est un vrai plus pour profiter pleinement du lieu. L’environnement est très agréable, avec des personnes sympathiques tout autour : la propriétaire, l’école de voile voisine ainsi que les différents voisins rencontrés. Le lit est confortable et le petit-déjeuner pris sur la terrasse, face à l’océan, est un moment particulièrement appréciable. Un livret très complet est mis à disposition avec de nombreuses informations sur les activités aux alentours. La propriétaire prend également le temps d’expliquer par écrit le fonctionnement des marées, avec des indications claires et suffisamment larges pour savoir quand l’accès en véhicule est possible ou non, ainsi que le chemin piéton à emprunter à marée haute

L’accès au logement peut être un peu déroutant au premier abord ; un plan plus détaillé envoyé à l’avance faciliterait l’arrivée. Pour les personnes peu habituées à ce type d’hébergement, les bruits des pas d’animaux (oiseaux et opossum?) sur le toit la nuit peuvent surprendre et rendre l’endormissement un peu plus difficile. Grâce aux commentaires précédents, nous avions anticipé en préparant des sacs plus légers, ce qui est en effet fortement recommandé afin d’éviter de transporter depuis la voiture et de monter des valises trop lourdes ☺️

Prachtige ligging midden tussen de tree ferns! Als je buiten zit fluiten er de hele dag allerlei soorten vogels. Er is prachtig uitzicht op de baai. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig in het huisje. Het leek vooraf wat ingewikkeld om er te komen met de getijden maar dat viel ons reuze mee. Er zijn meerdere mooie wandelingen om te doen in de buurt. Dit is een echte aanrader. We hadden een geweldige tijd. Bedankt!

Everything was amazing!

The location was unique and beautiful. The property was very clean with a generous supply of towels and a few breakfast supplies. Sitting on the sunny deck surrounded by native bush and looking out at the ocean view was paradise.

Beautiful private location

The Raglan Treehouse represents an exceptional opportunity for a different stay. Helped by the delightful host and hostess. Decent Internet is also a distinct advantage. There are stairs up to the treehouse, any perspective visitor needs to know that, however, they are in no way difficult. It seemed problematic at the time, but the fact is that there are periods of the day when you have to park away from the treehouse and walk owing to high tides. In reality, we did not find this a problem.

Really loved the little touches like the orange juice and snacks, as well as the owners both being incredibly welcoming

Incredible property, located in a quiet and relaxing area with incredible views from the decking. The owners are just below and very lovely, providing a list of tide times in the property so you can time when to drive your car across. Although it’s not an issue if the tide is high, you can leave your car at the bottom of Lorenzen Bay Road and walk across easily enough. We also walked along the coast to Raglan Fish at low tide which was great. Would absolutely recommend and would return. One of our favorite destinations to date!

It is a gem. So we'll keept, with so much love. It is hidden away with great views, very quiet with all you may need. We will definitely try to come back Even though, you need to be aware of the tides, it is more than worth it.

We had a lovely comfortable stay in this charming, well appointed setting. Vehicle access at high tide is not possible, but this just added to the charm. The hosts provided great information about activities in the area
