호수에 떠 있는 보트 하우스라 주인분이 육지를 오갈때 보트를 태워 주시는데 좋다. 가족이 대대로 운영한 보트 하우스라 오래되었는데도 깨끗하게 잘 관리 되어있다. 귀여운 아이를 키우는 가족이 운영해서 안전하게 느껴진다. 집에서 보이는 풍경이 아름다워서 무척 좋았다.

인도라 전기와 인터넷이 끊길때가 있는데 이건 나라 자체의 문제라고 생각한다

Ho trascorso qui 6 notti e non ho trovato solo un posto dove stare ma un piccolo angolo di casa sul Dal Lake. Una delle cose che ho amato di più è stata anche la posizione, per me era nella parte più bella del lago. Una zona tranquilla, lontana dal caos e dai clacson, dal traffico di barche e shikara durante il giorno. C’era un’atmosfera molto più silenziosa e rilassata, che mi ha permesso di vivere il lago in modo più autentico e godermi davvero il tempo lì.. È stato un modo speciale di vivere Srinagar e di avvicinarmi davvero alla vita kashmira. La camera era esattamente come nelle foto, sempre pulita, calda e confortevole, con acqua calda e tutto quello di cui avevo bisogno. Anche la colazione era abbondante e preparata con cura. Ma quello che porterò davvero con me sono le persone. In questi giorni non mi sono mai sentita una semplice ospite: mi sono sentita accolta con un affetto e una gentilezza che hanno reso questo posto speciale. Mi hanno aperto una piccola finestra sulla loro quotidianità e, per qualche giorno, mi sono sentita parte della famiglia. Ci sono posti che si visitano e posti che restano nel cuore. Questo per me sarà uno di quelli.

Ich habe hier 4 Nächte verbracht und es war einfach perfekt (verdiente 5 von 5 Sternen!). Das Haus und die Zimmer sind unglaublich süß und gemütlich eingerichtet. Es gab eine wunderbare heiße Dusche und das Essen war absolut köstlich. Was diesen Ort aber wirklich besonders macht, ist der Besitzer: Er ist unfassbar freundlich, gibt tolle Tipps und sorgt für eine extrem herzliche Atmosphäre. Die Lage ist ruhig und schön – ich habe mich ab der ersten Sekunde wie zu Hause gefühlt. Große Empfehlung!

From the beautiful houseboat and its peaceful vibes to the warmth and hospitality of the entire family, every moment felt special. A special thanks to Tafeem, the little star, and to Javeed Bhai and Irfaan for making our stay so memorable. Their kindness, care, and genuine hospitality were truly incredible and made us feel like part of the family. Movie Land Houseboat will always hold a special place in my heart. The memories I made here are unforgettable, and I’m already looking forward to meeting everyone again very soon. Whenever I visit Kashmir in the future, this will definitely be the place I come back to. My boyfriend and I stayed 4 nights and we loved our stay. What we prefered was Javeed and his family, their kindness and hospitality. Javeed and his brother helped my boyfriend to organise a memorable birthday for me and I'm very grateful for that. They also helped us to get a motorbike, negotiate the price and get us somd sim cards. We loved the breakfast and dinner at the homestay. The bedroom itself is very nice with view on the lotus flowers, the beds are really comfortable (I was craving such a good comfy bed after all the very hard beds i got in other hotels) and our own private bathroom. Everything was very clean. The view from the terrace is beautiful and Javeed or Irfan always make themselves available to pick us up with the boat or drop us off. It's only 2 or 3 minutes boat and the location itself is perfect, next to a lot of restaurants.

Der Host und seine Familie sind sehr sehr hilfsbereit und nehmen alle Gäste liebevoll auf. Egal ob es um Empfehlungen beim Essen, bei Plätzen in der Stadt, Preisen für Andenken oder Aktivitäten auf dem See geht, sie standen mir immer zur Seite. Wer nicht alleine unterwegs sein will, dem/der wird such angeboten, gemeinsam mit dem Auto ein paar Sights in der Altstadt oder am See abzuklappern. Eine Sprachbarriere über Englisch existiert nicht. Die Hausboote liegen sehr friedlich auf einer kleinen Insel, es ist aber zu keiner Zeit ein Problem gewesen, das “Festland” zu erreichen, da mich jederzeit jemand von der Familie kurz rüber fahren konnte. Auf Sauberkeit wird großen Wert gelegt, heißes Wasser gibt es immer, ebenso wie Shampoo, Toilettenpapier oder Mückenschutz. In Srinagar wird regelmäßig in verschiedenen Sektoren der Strom abgeschaltet, was in dem Fall dann auch das sonst sehr gut funktionierende WLAN betrifft. Man muss sich auch bewusst sein, dass auf einem Hausboot zu schlafen nicht unbedingt für jeden/e etwas ist, aber es ist auch ein einzigartiges Erlebnis.

If you are missing peaceful nature and village vibe - this place is for you. Water, boats around, so many singing birds. I chose more simple and smaller room, but there are way more fancy and bigger rooms. And what is most important - hospitality of the family. I was picked up from the airport, I got help with getting another sim card as one prepaid I bought in Delhi, was not working. Irfan took a good care of me, showed me around lots of places in Srinagar. It was a pleasure to communicate with him.

Sometimes electricity was disappearing, so internet as well. But it is not owners fault.

Our recent stay at this hotel from June 21st to 23rd was truly a wonderful experience, especially as we were traveling with family. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions and amenities. What truly stood out was the impeccable neatness and cleanliness of the entire property. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the host, Javeed. He is an incredibly kind and supportive individual.

Such an amazing time staying here, I ended up upgrading my room to the Deluxe double, which was a gorgeous room, spacious and extremely clean. Javed made me feel super comfortable and often went above and beyond, helping me with any questions or recommendations. I was concerned as a female travelling alone how comfortable I would be, however Javed and his family really took care of me and were so warm and kind! Food was nice, and the view of the lake is wonderful.

We had a perfect stay at this amazing house boat in both std rooms and Suite room. We booked this house boat after referring all reviews which were very positive and in reality it met all the expectation. Location at Dal lake was amazing & near to main road . Owner Mr.Javed himself picked us from main road through his Shikara ride which was complimentary He himself take cares of his guests and always on toes to provide services. Food was also home cooked and tasted good. Not to miss his Shikara ride at Dal lake which was memorable. Overall it'was superb experience and will surely go for it next time as well. Writing this long review so that it would be helpful for others since there was confusion in my mind before finalizing the stay at Dal Lake. Please don't miss this memorable experience and make sure to add it in your iternary.

We had a wonderful time! Javeed, the owner attended to us personally and treated us like family. Javeed was communicative and attentive to our needs and made our stay comfortable. He helped arrange for taxis for our trip to Pahalgam and Gulmarg, went out on his shikara in the evening to get dinner that we had ordered from Zomato. He even arranged for breakfast that was freshly cooked, a big thanks to him and his sister! The room in the houseboat itself was quite luxurious and spacious. There was a big master bedroom and a living room - and the bathroom came with a bath tub - on a houseboat! Can’t ask for more! Srinagar was extremely cold during our stay but the heating made the room warm and cosy. We had initially booked the stay for two days - 6th and 7th January but ended up extending it for another 2 days! I would definitely recommend the property for your stays in Srinagar and look forward to visiting Kashmir again!

The service from the host (Javeed) was excellent. He was always available for any assistance required. The houseboat was very clean with very beautiful wood carvings everywhere. Houseboat is equipped with generator as well.

I don’t usually write reviews but this was truly an exceptional stay. I arrived feeling quite sick, and Javeed went well out of his way to help - even making a homemade lime juice and taking his shikara back to shore at night to pick up electrolytes. And he didn’t even charge me for it. The room (including bathroom) was clean, cozy, and warm and the patio had a beautiful and serene view of Dal Lake. I couldn’t recommend staying here more. I was only here for a night and sick the entire time, and this was still one of the highlights of my time in Kashmir. Much appreciation to you, Javeed!

Great view of mountains must visit

Stayed at Javid's boat hotel for three nights - an incredible experience. It looks like a floating apartment with its own living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and an outside terrace for launch. We seek a family room for four - 2 teenagers and parents. The kids were a bit afraid to stay alone for the first day, so we were looking for a room with two beds as a matter of principle. All as on a photo in booking.com: clean, neat, well equipped with everything needed— shampoo, soap, towels, air conditioning, bottled water, a full set of tableware and refrigerator in the kitchen. The interior is an Indian luxurious style with everything is hand-carved, the whole boat is richly decorated, the floor is carpeted. Very tasty breakfast, I especially recommend Kashmiri kava. The owner has honoured every your request - organized a comfortable car to pick us from the airport, made the boat towards the night market at 4:30 am, took us for a boat-drive along the narrow canals, organized a transfer to Lamayuru. We’ve just sightseeing around and enjoyed our vacation. At my request, Javid taught me how to make real Kashmiri kava, bought all the ingredients needed - now I do not have a mixture from a tourist store, but cinnamon, coriander, saffron and tea separately (I will buy ginger in Moscow). Javid with wife and kid live in the neighborhood, so he invited me to his house and showed in what proportions to crush, cook the locals prepare kawa. He is a very generous and kind man, lived in Japan for many years, speaks excellent English and at the same time was born in Kashmir and continues his father's work. It was a pleasure to spend time at his boat. Will miss already this days.

It was ultimate location in mid of Dul lake, Breathtaking views of lake, mountain and skys. Excellent hospitality, humble and coutious staff with tasty food. They serve breakfast and meals as per our convineance. Overall experiance was wonderfull, at single place you will get arrangments for sight seeing and shikara ride with reasonable rates and trusted persons. Safe and secure place to live.

Staying at Movieland was truly an experience of a lifetime, and I will return. One of the absolute most unforgettable stays anywhere. I never even imagined that I would be staying on a lake in Kashmir, and next thing I knew, I made lifetime friends (really family) with whom I will stay in touch for the rest of my life. The food, hospitality, scenery, location, and availability of staff to provide services and recommendations, as well as setting up tours, is incredible. I felt both like a king and like a part of the family at the same time! Javeed and his family took care of me, showed me around town, took me on tours of the lake, and set up a trekking tour in the Himalayas for me, which should be an unquestionable bucket list trip for anyone. I can't say enough. Life-changing is the easiest word, I suppose. The Shangloos also made me feel like I was part of the family. I even got to experience a wedding on a house boat with Javeed and Riyaz. Also, something I will never ever forget. The houseboat is super charming and cozy. Chilling on the porch and just reading a book is time to be treasured. I learned a lot about being tranquil and slowing down while being here. It was a true break and vacation from my hectic lifestyle. Eating meals with the family was also unforgettable. I really felt welcome and touched by their attention, hospitality and friendship. I can't recommend this enough. Don't hesitate. Be open to a life-changing experience. Relax, explore, belong, enjoy.
