Fantastic property, very hospitable and friendly staff. Villas are huge and the highlight of the property. Great place to spend time in peace and quiet

Room was huge but private pool was not usable as it was too cold

The washrooms could be sealed from the ceiling to block the odour and sound in the living area.

We arrived late for our check in and we were directed to have the complementary high-tea even without checking in. It set the premise to an amazing stay and brilliant hospitality. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The room was beautiful and clean. The food was authentic and delicious. We could not fault anything.

The team should work on setting up recreational indoor/outdoor activities with an updated game room. The spa was great and the male massage therapist was really good but the female massage therapist was sub standard.

I had a wonderful stay at Grand Retreat, Chikmagalur. The property is beautiful, the rooms are neat, clean, spacious, and very well maintained, making the stay comfortable and relaxing. One thing that truly stood out was the staff. They are extremely well trained, professional, courteous, and always ready to help with a smile. Their friendliness and hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend Grand Retreat to anyone visiting Chikmagalur. Looking forward to visiting again!

The restaurant was also good overall, and most of the food was tasty. However, I felt the biryani could be improved, as it didn’t meet my expectations. Apart from that, everything else was excellent.

We had a very lovely and comfortable stay at the property. From the food to the staff, rooms, ambience, everything was great! The staff and services were prompt. Friendly people with a smile to guide you during your stay. Do try to go for the coffee plantation visit in the morning, it was quite interesting and informative. Restaurant services were quick, food was satisfying, with nominal price.

The beds are not comfortable and private swimming pool are not safe for kids.

Excellent Location, Excellent Hospitality, Awesome Food, Super Clean and hygienic Rooms, Courteous Staff. We stayed for 3 nights, and it was an awesome experience.

Resort is under development, needs improvement on activities within resort.

Easily accessible (only by car), decent location. Resort maintained well. Room was huge & good. Small private pool was good enough for quick dips. Resort seemed new & facilities were being still done. Bathroom & toilet were clean & stocked. Bed & room were clean. High tea was good & complimentary with good coffee & snacks. But food was very nominally priced for a la carte & even room service.

Restaurant was badly managed, food wasn’t good. Morning breakfast was a mess. Staff were clueless. Long waiting time. Absolutely no local food dishes. Even ala carte menu didn’t have any local dishes. South Indian food also not great.. filter coffee in coffee land was disappointing. Very limited timings for room service. Very expensive.. We paid 20k for a pool villa. maybe only for the long weekend but definitely not worth the price. Didn’t even feel like extending our stay. No shade for car parking. Staff didn’t seem too well trained. Few were friendly and most seemed disinterested. E

The food was good. Staff was helpful and very responsive. The swimming pools are maintained really well.

The parking lot could have been shaded - some more trees or some sort of sheet roofing would help.

Not maintained. Not sure why it’s a five star rated. Not worth the money we paid. No liquor available at the hotel. Food at restaurant is below par.

Excellent location and very nice rooms, however meals were not up to the mark and staff is raw. They need great amount of training for this property to do well.

Excellent place to stay !!!! pristine clean villas, private pool, river flow, coffee estate of their own etc etc this is such a beautiful place. Service in one word WOOOOW !!!!. Entire team ensure​d to provide the best service to their customers . Everyone was so great, however Vidya ( Senior Receptionist) and Varun (room service) amazing amazing service, you could not ask for a better service. Bravo to their owner for building this beautiful place and providing such an experience to their customers.

1. The property is in an excellent location and maintained clean. There is a natural stream adjoining the property 2. The rooms are super spacious and have all the facilities. The private pool is a big draw 3. Front desk staffs Salma, Vidya, Ayesha (I have missed another staff's name) and the restaurant Managers Sridhar, Akash and all other staffs... Guys are rockstars. They have treated us like a guest to their family. Super helpful and they are excellent 4. Good indoor play area, Common pool and play area

Staff were exceedingly nice and helpful. Lovely cottages, very spacious and comfortable. Good food. Loved the coffee plantation tour. Great views.

Need to have a travel desk that can guide and offer options for local travel and activities.

The location is an hour's drive from kudremukh, Rooms are huge so it's ideal for a family with kids, the staff are extremely helpful and nice.

Would have liked to see pork on the menu

The resort has a clean, hygienic,suit rooms with a nice private pool. Excellent work by staffs. Good restaurant. The resort has natural , silent and peacefull environment with great mountain views.

The outdoor and indoor activities not well maintained. The led lamps in bathroom and the swimming pools light at night are not adequate. Can also add a locker in the room .

Food can be improved, choices were very limited. Specially dinner and lunch definitely have a lot of scope for improvement. Since the location is very remote, you have to depend on resort food.

Nice place with a good ambience. Very Friendly staff. Darshan sir, the chef, the receptionist and the helpers made their way out for our comfortable stay, all of them always greeted us with happy faces. Villas are super big with private pool must visit resort 👌👌
