Woodlands Cottage - Luxury stay

The stay was very comfortable. It was a good value for the money we paid. The staff were very friendly. I would like to specially mention the service provided by Pinky and Nikhil.

There was nothing really negative except that the location was a bit away from the city centre and we had to travel a bit to get to key locations.

The place is amazing and ideal for a family stay, starting from the property with pool itself and having a great caretaker supporting you with anything you need. Huge thanks to the hosts for an awesome stay!

Safety based and it’s like a home

My family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) loved everything about Woodlands cottage. The home was spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean and modern. The garden and swimming pool were like an oasis in the city. The best part about the stay was the hospitality and kindness shown to us by Nikhil and his family. Nikhil’s mom Pinky took good care of us by helping us tidy the kitchen and making us a lavish local breakfast each day. She even prepared for us extra food to take along on the day that we left because she knew we had a long car ride ahead. We experienced true Rajastani hospitality from this wonderful family who take pride in their culture and the home they care for.

Modern, spacious and clean property. Caretakers were extremely courteous, hospitable and welcoming. Breakfast was served hot and we greatly relished hot pohas by the pool. Property is 15-20 mins from the Mehrangarh fort/city centre - which makes having a car indispensable. There are plenty of decent restaurants within 1km radius. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it unequivocally.

This villa is a good option for a group of 4-6 people visiting Jodhpur for a relaxed holiday. Located on the outskirts of the city near the far end of the airport runway, it’s 10-15 minutes by road from AIIMS Jodhpur, where we had some work. This large single storeyed house with living and dining rooms, kitchen, two bedrooms with attached bathrooms has a swimming pool with spacious lawns and gardens within the walled compound. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-maintained with elegant and comfortable furnishings. Adequate free wi-fi internet service is available. There is a TV, but no cable service. The attendants Pinki and her son Nikhil are very helpful and attentive and provide tasty home-cooked meals at a very reasonable cost. Breakfast is included in the tariff. Several restaurants are also available about 10 minutes away.

Negatives – high decibel noise during aircraft take-offs from the adjacent runway, especially in the mornings. The location is somewhat remote, but Nikhil provided a contact for a car and driver at standard cost. Word of caution – Uber cabs in Jodhpur charge double the quoted price on the app and may not turn up at all after accepting the ride. Uber has no control over these drivers, who only use the app to contact passengers.

It was a home away from home literally and we were given all the privacy we needed. Would especially like to mention the staff Ajay and Mina, two sweet souls who were very courteous and always ready to help and we enjoyed a great stay there. Would definitely like to stay again. 👍👍

The pressure of the flow of water from the taps in the house was a bit less for me. Would request the owners to check on that. Otherwise everything is perfect to a T. 😊
