Reviewed Sep 20, 2026Very well kept large house with a lot of lovely decorations. Bed quite comfortable and bathroom well equipped. Lots of parking space and nice gardens. Quiet but within a few miles of the airport.
Not a lot of choice offered for breakfast Upon paying was handed a sumup machine with the tip request starting at 18%, which we paid. Have never had this happen before.

It was a nice cooked breakfast but I would have preferred just a bowl of granola or cereal. ( Usually an option at a b&b or hotel) so I didn't think to ask prior to our visit. I will know for next time.

Having the remove our shoes at the door , we were not asked politely to do this but more dictated too. Our room was very cluttered with unnecessary furniture. It made wardrobe access difficult.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Wunderschön und sehr ruhig gelegen. Waren nur für eine Nacht dort, könnte mir aber auch dort einen erholsamen, mehrtägigen Urlaub vorstellen. Toll fand ich es, dass alle Gäste des Hauses an einem Frühstückstisch saßen.
Dazu fällt mir tatsächlich nichts ein!

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026Etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Mietwagen von Halifax Airport. Sehr ruhige Lage. Freundlicher Inhaber. Bacon & Eggs zum Frühstück und unbegrenzt Kaffee/Tee. Wir fanden es hier deutlich angenehmer als zuletzt im hektischen Airport-Hotel. Zum Einkauf gibt es in der Nähe einen großen Supermatkt.
Ein Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer wäre nett.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026We were met by the owner Con as soon as we arrived and he made us feel welcome and showed around his fabulous house. The bed was very comfy and the bedroom and bedroom were well decorated and quite large. Breakfast was a cooled meal consisting of eggs bacon. toast and hashbrowns along with fruit, yogurt. pastries and home made jam. The grounds of the property are huge at 8 acres and we were happy to see deer on the property.

The room was a tiny bit hot even with the AC in the room (but that could also be perimenopause, so it may have been ok for someone else 😀) We ended up with a room that only had a separate bathroom across the hall which is not super convenient for someone who has to go a couple times a night (didn't want to wake the neighbors)

Mejoraria la calidad del cafe. Tambien mejoraria la computadora, es tan lenta que no pude trabajar con ella.

We were there in May, but I noted no ac in rooms, not sure how hot it gets?

We would have appreciated opportunity for tea/coffee/ water in evening. Arrived in evening and some snacks/other options would have been appreciated. Local restaurants were closed and/or closing. Breakfast was basic but not elevated for what we would have expected for cost of stay and for the overall building/environment experience.
