Amazing home and grounds. A feast for the eyes when we first arrived. Absolutely beautiful heritage home. Room was stunning. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night as it was our last stop before heading home. Excellent proximity to airport. Really wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely property! We had to leave before breakfast so cannot comment on that.

This B & B is in a beautiful relaxing location. The house is kept spotless and the host is very friendly

Be prepared to leave heavy luggage in car. Breakfast was just ok. B&b was beautiful and grounds are exceptional. If you like the b&b experience, this is a great place. Plenty of parking. A little off the road and hidden. We enjoyed our stay.

The public areas of the building are wonderful, very inviting and comfortable. The grounds are extensive and well landscaped. Our bedroom wasn’t cleaned as well as we expected, there were spider webs in the corners of the ceiling. The bed was much too soft for our liking. Breakfasts were good nut we had fried eggs three days in a row. More variety wouldn’t have hurt.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Briarwood with such lovely hosts! The space was warm and inviting, and breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend!

The experience was excellent all around. Beds were so comfortable and bedding so cozy. Con, the owner went the extra mile to accommodate us when our Air Canada flights were canceled.

Lovely hosts, very comfortable bed in a large well appointed room. Breakfast was delicious & he was fun to meet the other guests. The whole place is very charming.

Considering the house was build in1860, it was in outstanding condition, lots of history in it. The whole place and the people in were amazing, the breakfast was great.

This is an absolutely beautiful property and the hosts were gracious and lovely. Our room was small, but guests have access to many beautifully furnished rooms in the house along with extensive and beautiful grounds. Breakfast was delicious and served at a large dining room table so guests could visit with one another in the morning. A lovely stay, and very close to the airport.

The room is too small. Bath is old and small, located right beside the door.

What a beautiful property! The room was lovely: spotless and so comfortable. This is a place I’d happily come back to for a longer stay. The welcome was cordial, breakfast was delicious, and the garden was restful and well maintained. This is a gem!

Amazing property with well kept grounds and acres to stroll. Heritage style accommodation with two lounges and a sun room plus outdoor seating. Super friendly hosts and good food too.

When we arrived, we were told we booked a room with no ensuite bathroom, yet we had taken a screenshot at the time of booking of the room with a bathroom. We asked to be moved, yet were told they had no vacancies so it was not possible. Meanwhile the other suites remained empty during our stay.

Beautiful property! Recent overnight stay to attend a wedding. Appreciated the early checkin to get dressed. Purchased a bottle of wine for later that evening, very reasonably priced. Enjoyed relaxing in the various sitting rooms while admiring the beautiful antique furniture and artwork. A very welcoming space! Very comfy bed. And a delicious full breakfast the next morning prior to checkout. Would highly recommend!

Very lovely true bed and breakfast. We only stayed one night but this would be a lovely place to spend a couple relaxing days to unwind. Beautiful grounds and decor. We enjoyed chatting with other guests in the evening and at breakfast.

The location and the home were especially beautiful. It is obvious that a lot of effort has gone into both interior decor and outdoor landscaping. Grateful for the A/C on such a hot and humid day!

Briarwood is a beautiful B&B, well maintained by the proprietors.

The bedrooms are each unique with excellent decor. The four public spaces are excellent for sitting and reading. The gardens and yard is beautiful.

It was a hot day. It would be lovely if the room was cooled before our arrival. We provided our expected time of arrival by your request. This would have been just another pleasant experience for us. Breakfast was great as well as the service.

Just a quick overnight stay. Owner and staff friendly and property well kept. Room was large and bathroom was average for an older home. Dining area has a large table where guests can share stories while eating. Convenient location to hwy and amenities.

This a large, beautiful, and well maintained 19th century heritage home. It has amazing character and is beautifully furnished in a style matching the home’s character. The owners/hosts Con and Rose were very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed a nice bacon and egg breakfast in the dining area with the other guests. There are many amenities down the street (gas station, grocery store, bank, and restaurants). An excellent choice if you need a place to stay for a couple of nights that is only 10 minutes from the airport by car.

Beautiful yard and home. No shoes allowed in house. No refrigerator space given. Bathroom was down the hall. Owners asked for cash instead of credit card at same price. No thermostat or air conditioner in room. Nice breakfast.

A beautiful mid 19th century home exquisitely decorated and well maintained with lovely gardens surrounding. We had a sound sleep and delicious breakfast the following morning. I would highly recommend this quiet adult oriented B&B.

We loved our stay at this b and b! So beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. And the old house was beautifully maintained and the host was very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, and we look forward to returning there if at all possible in the future.

I booked very last minute due to travel times with weather. Con was very happy to accommodate me and super friendly. My room was excellent and comfortable. Unfortunately i have to leave extremely early so was unable to try out breakfast.

A beautiful 19th century home restored to a very high standard, room was excellent, breakfast was great and the recommendation of Britar’s restaurante just down the road was perfect.

The property was beautiful and clean. It was difficult to find as the road in is not well marked and just before a busy intersection. The tv could use an update. Otherwise it was great.

Briarwood is quaint for a 1 night stay only, on your way to another destination as it is close to Halifax airport.

Absolutely lovely. I stayed in The Quince room and it was perfect. Bed was comfy, quiet, large ensuite. There are different rooms to sit and enjoy, I particularly liked the solarium. Cozy, perfect spot to read on a rainy day. Plus, while enjoying my coffee in the morning, I saw several deer in the back yard. Short drive to the airport. Very nice patio, and the grounds are beautiful. A very big thankyou to the host!

My wife and I had a wonderful time. We most definitely wil be coming back again!!

Such a peaceful retreat it was hard to imagine it was so close to the airport and highway. The trains sounding during the night was unexpected though. The house and grounds are charming, the owners very welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast excellent.

I liked everything. Very good value, super comfy bedding, Tasty breakfast and lovely hosts who go above and beyond to accommodate their guests. Lots of space to enjoy indoor and out. Nice gardens and antiques…it’s a lovely old historic home that has enjoyed a lot of living,so does have a few smiley wrinkles.

When guests arrive at this property, they step into an oasis of calm. This property is secluded, quiet and exquisitely appointed. The hosts have seemingly thought of everything to ensure the comfort of their guests. It is truly a jewel.

The Bed and Breakfast is full of nostalgic furnishings and is well taken care of. Deer and birds frolic by the sitting room at the back of the house. There are old-school board games, and the host, Con, is so accommodating. Breakfast was incredible. For a fee (less than the airport taxi), he will shuttle you to the airport. It was a thoroughly comfortable and just an amazing stay.

The Briarwood is as well appointed as any 5 Star Hotel. The rooms are lovely to look at and the grounds are amazing. I walked the grounds and saw the herd of deer living nearby. Just a lovely experience that I wish I could do over.

Three spacious rooms in which to chat with others or have a quiet room to yourself. After travelling for weeks, it's nice to have an extra room or three in which you are not just in your bedroom. Con and Cheryl were so helpful with getting to know the province and connecting me to the services I needed. Great central location to the entire province.

The grounds were nice the bed was not what I was expecting way too soft and the mattress hung over the side making it uncomfortable to sleep the windows dont open up for fresh air there is no individual coffee pots in the room it is all downstairs and there was nothing to able us to keep water cold brought our own water which was good or we would have had to drink warm tap water if we want coffee its all downstairs away from us this is the first time i have stayed somewhere and there was no coffee pot in the room I get its a bed and breakfast but there are somethings that should be included in a room and there is no food or snacks allowed in the room which was abit different everyone likes to have a snack when they are away not the experience I was expecting

We were warmly greeted and it was such a relief after a long journey. This is our second stay here and everything was just a great as six years ago. We have recommended Briarwood to friends who have enjoyed it just as much as we have. The house, the grounds, the owners, the other staff are the best.

Very nice property manager/owner. Very quiet space, serene outdoor space, nice decor, clean. It was a lovely stay. Convenient location by the airport and Highway. It's also very close to a plaza in case you want a quick meal or need to buy something.

Best rooms, decorated so well, huge bathroom space, impressive place. Must visit for sure.

The house was very pretty and well kept. The property was quite large and had lots of outdoor space available for guests. Some of the rooms had en-suite washrooms but ours did not. It DID have a bathroom for our exclusive use but one had to go out through a small common hallway to reach it.

As close to perfect as a B&B gets! The room and building as a whole are exquisite, and the grounds beautiful. The staff was excellent. This was the best B&B experience we've ever had.

We loved our stay at Briarwood B&B. We found a warm welcome when we arrived. Our room was comfortable and clean. We highly recommend this cozy home away from home.

Host left phone to call her said would be back in a while. Arrived 5 hrs later after we were in bed due early flight. Excessive noise through the night due to plumbing and some other loud noise. Felt some type of note should have been left for us thanking us for stay and expressing acknowledgement that we would not be able to see her for breakfast.
