Letto. Carino attico ma faceva leggermente caldo. Il letto sembrava in spugna e non aiutava al caldo. Inoltre non c'era un posto dove mettere gli zaini.

Hostel was clean, good vibe, staff was nice and helpful, good location in Porto da Cruz. I had a good stay there.

It was a bit hot inside rooms during the day and summer time. I think they should install some ventilators inside the rooms.

Also ich muss sagen, dass Hostel war wirklich sehr schön & nicht nur von außen, sondern die Reisenden die ich kennengelernt habe - einfach top! Das was man von einer Solo - Reise im Hostel erwartet: Menschen kennenlernen, quatschen, Dinge zusammen erledigen! Das Hostel hatte auch wirklich eine perfekte Größe, man konnte sich an die Namen der anderen erinnern & man wusste generell wer unterwegs ist. Man braucht schon ein Auto wenn man auch raus aus Porto Da Cruz will, weil es halt einfach ein Dorf ist, aber es hat wirklich Charme & Man kommt schön zur Ruhe! Die Hostel Mitarbeiter waren auch wirklich herzlichst offen und es war immer schön, Gitarren Musik im Hintergrund zu hören & Gespräche zu führen!! Nur zu empfehlen :)

Hébergement 10/10, super bien placé, très joliment aménagé, les commodités au top, le lit confort et l’accueil formidable. Nous sommes arrivés après le créneau horaire pour le Check in et Kevin a pris de son temps sur son jour de repos pour nous accueillir. Super arrangeant, super serviable et toujours le sourire. Je recommande à 1000%

YOUR VIBE ATTRACTS YOUR TRIBE. And that is how this place works. The hosts were so friendly and helpfull. They even selflessly helped me when I was having a problem. The athmosphere there was very friendly. The place was clean and kitchen well equipted. Small things that created great place - like a Jaca WhatsApp family, common things to use (oil, pepper, vinegar,...) or labeled leftovers from people who had left.

The bunk beds weren’t as sturdy and they creaked.

If you’re traveling to Madeira—and especially Porto da Cruz—this is hands down the place to stay! It’s so much more than just a hostel; it genuinely feels like a home where you can connect with wonderful people, unwind, or have fun depending on your mood. The shared outdoor spaces are absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are spotlessly clean. On top of that, the owners are incredible, super kind, and treat you like real friends. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Hostel molto carino, con un bellissimo spazio esterno comune dove incontrare le altre persone e bere qualcosa. La cucina è ben fornita, è a due passi dal mare, dai ristoranti e ha un grande parcheggio vicino. Consiglio di portare tappi per le orecchie e mascherina se si ha bisogno di buio per dormire.

Purtroppo i letti a castello sono un po’ economici e si muovono molto quando si muovono le persone, quindi se si ha un sonno leggero si potrebbe essere svegliati spesso. Non si dovrebbe entrare con le scarpe da fuori, ma non essendoci nessuno che controlla, molti ospiti maleducati non le tolgono e si sporcano le stanze, ma non è colpa della struttura quanto di chi la usa!

Bellissima struttura dotata di tutti i confort necessari. Lo staff ti fa sentire subito a casa e negli spazi comuni è veramente piacevole passare del tempo e conoscere altri viaggiatori. Ci tornerei molto volentieri 😉

C’est très familiale, on fait de super rencontre, la plage est juste à côté, ambiance surf camp ! Le personnel est gentil et le ménage est fait tous les jours. Épicerie juste à côté ainsi qu’une boulangerie :)

Es war eine sehr nette und familiäre atmosphäre, man hat sich von anfang an wohlgefühlt und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr offen und immer für einen da.

La simplicité et la praticité!

I absolutely loved this place. From the moment I entered, it didn’t just feel like i was at home, but it felt like I was becoming part of a family. It was hard to say goodbye when it was time to leave. I would 100% come back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for more than just a place to sleep.

Stayed for 7 nights and loved staying at this surf haven! The property is large, safe, comfortable, super organized and clean!

Truly the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at! Quincy and Kevin create such a warm environment and I immediately felt welcomed in. I loved grabbing ice cream with them and doing mid day ocean dips!! Super clean, quiet, and cozy space and I loved the location in Porto da Cruz. It was so easy to meet other solo travelers and form amazing friendships. Such a special gem on the island filled with special people 🫶🏼 Kevin is the GMOAT (greatest manager of all time)

Wish I stayed longer!

Very nice place in Porto Da Cruz, just very close to the seashore. The staff is also a bunch of young cuties helpful and adorable. There is plenty of space : kitchen, living room, outside zone to socialise and spend nice time. Extra nice place if you like to surf.

The whole stay was amazing. The hostel was very clean and also very close to the beach. Kevin and Quincy were really great and absolutely the best hosts you could ever wish for. I’ll definitely come back another time!

I wish I would’ve discovered Jaca Hostel sooner. I absolutely loved it! It kinda felt like a small family. The interior was really such a vibe and everyone was so nice. Definitely recommend it !!

Porto da Cruz is a cute little town with beautiful views, a quieter pace, and a cozy hostel. The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. The staff and management were very friendly. Be prepared to sing for the professional in-house guitarist who is also very handsome and tan.

There is not a great breakfast spot in town, unless you only want pastries. Travelers should plan on cooking for themselves in the mornings. Not a fault of the hostel. Room is hot at night in the summer.

Schönes und schmuckvoll eingerichtetes Hostel mit entspannter Atmosphäre. Insbesondere der Aussenbereich ist toll gestaltet und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Hostel befindet sich direkt in Strandnähe und mitten im kleinen Ort Porto da Cruz. In der Nähe hat es auch einen tollen kleinen Laden, um das Notwendige einzukaufen. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an sehr willkommen und haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

The Hostel was incredible along with some amazing staff running the place. There were also plenty of outdoor activities going on in the local area as well. Overall a real wholesome vibe!

Mijn eerste hostel ervaring, de lat meteen heel erg hoog gelegd ✌🏼 Zalige locatie, mega toffe sfeer. Er wordt elke dag gepoetst en leuke activiteiten georganiseerd. Genoeg plaats om in je eentje te chillen als je even wil, ook genoeg badkamers om altijd wel ergens terecht te kunnen. Mega dikke props aan Kevin om iedereeen zich zo thuis te laten voelen

The mattress wasn’t very comfortable , felt was a hollow in the middle of the mattress, no sockets on in bunk bed, person who slept down used the whole extension leads, desk lamp didn’t worked.

Perfect start to our walking trip. Jaca hostel is super clean and staff are so welcoming. We got super tips from our host Kevin on hiking trails and where to eat and really enjoyed meeting all the lovely guests in the communal area!

Sadly the restaurant next door was closed Sunday and Monday while we were there. It gets great reviews

Great small and cozy hostel with tropical shower in the backyard, big living room that was very inviting to chill, eat, play trivia games and make new friends, my room had a balcony with sunbeds that was a great place on a sunny day/evening to relax after the hike

Meilleur hostel de Madère! Je me suis sentie comme à la maison. Le personnel est adorable, j’ai rencontré de supers personnes ! Très chill et convivial. Et Porto da cruz est magnifique.

We verbleven in de tweepersoonskamer en het was top! Hele fijne, ruime kamer met genoeg opbergruimte en een eigen badkamer. Om de hoek zat (voor ons) het beste restaurant van het eiland, en overall is Porto da Cruz een super leuk dorpje. Zou het zeker aanraden!

Jaca Hostel is the place to be in Porto da Cruz, very clean, calm, and with a friendly staff. Shoutout to Kevin 🙏 We really appreciated the warm welcome and the flexibility with the checkout. The waves are great for beginner and intermediate surfers, and the landscapes were breathtaking, especially at sunrise. The stay was short and sweet, and we’re already looking forward to coming back to Jaca and exploring Porto da Cruz even more.

The property was perfectly located in the beautiful town of Porto Da Cruz, a quaint town on the stunning and wild north coast of Madeira. The hostel itself was placed equidistant between the beach and the best restaurant I ate at during my time on the island. But the host, Kevin, and the owner, Tome, and the likeminded guests were what brought the place to life. Socializing was encouraged by the feng shui layout, bringing residents together throughout the day and into the evening. Cherry on top was the smooth and light Levadia beer, brewed by Tome himself and made available 24/7. You will not regret your stay.

J’ai adoré mon séjour au Jaca Hostel. Ils font en sorte que tu te sentes comme chez des amis et ça marche ! L’endroit était propre, des femmes de ménage présentes tous les jours pour nettoyer. La cuisine très fonctionnelle, même si les poêlés auraient le mérite d’être changées… Mon gros coup de cœur : la douche tropicale à l’extérieur ! Peut-être à bientôt Merci à l’équipe 🫶

Het personeel was fantastisch en erg behulpzaam. Iedere avond werden er activiteiten georganiseerd, als ook overdag. En het hostel zelf was zeer proper en aangenaam.
