Lage sehr isoliert, man ist gezwungen im überteuerten Restaurant zu essen Hotel direkt an der Hauptstraße gelegen, daher sehr laut tagsüber und in der Nacht Am Pool nur 4 Liegen die im Wasser stehen und keinen Sonnenschirm haben Der Strand praktisch nicht existent, nur etwa 20m und das Meer voll von Steinen und Tang Kreditkarten werden nicht akzeptiert Es ist abzuraten, den sündhaft überteuerten Transport zu den Walhaien zu nehmen (3000PHP).Mit Bus kostet es 30 PHP(!)

The staff was very helpful, nice, they help with everything. The hotel was quiet, well-kept. The rooms were nice, modern, well-maintained, all the necessary equipment including the fridge was right in the rooms.

A big disappointment were the showers at the otherwise nice rooms and probably a limited choise of meals. There is worse access to the sea and overall the sea in the area is not entirely for swimming, no beach, etc. but we knew that in advance. We would probably appreciate some deck chairs around the pool (except for the 4 that are partially soaked in the pool), but given that there was almost no one in the Resort, we coped with it and it didn't limit us in any way.

The room was good for our group travelling. It was set out with two singles and a double bed. Breakfast was nice and the staff really tried to help us

Location is a bit far from anything, we had a driver so it wasn’t a problem but you would absolutely need some sort of transport.

Great seaside location, amazing snorkelling with clear water. We even saw turtles! Kids loved the pool and food was excellent too

The family room had a bathroom that wasn’t attached to the room but other then that it was a great place

Breakfast was very good, with a nice mix of Filipino dishes and some vegetarian options, so there was something for everyone. The resort is located in the first barangay of Oslob, but it is a perfect place if you want a staycation or a relaxing time after busy excursions with the whale sharks, waterfalls, and sardines. The staff are friendly and the room was clean, making the stay comfortable and enjoyable!

weather! however, its not that we cant control. there were cancelled tours but we stayed longer though so it was relaxing!

-hotel policy states after 11pm is quiet hours, however, this was unregulated. All nights of our stay we had loud guests outside our room up until 1-2am being obnoxiously loud, hotel also plays karaoke after 11pm. We reported this to reception but unfortunately nothing was done so our sleep was very poor. The hotel is advertised as an upscale/boutique resort , however, the atmosphere more resembled a party hostel. -general upkeep of property was poor -location is in the middle of nowhere, luckily we were able to rent scooters from a nearby shop -food was poor. Found plastic in our fries. Service was extremely slow during the night we dined at the hotel. Evening waiting staff were not proactive. -some staff conduct was unprofessional e.g male chefs coming out and staring at people/laughing at people. -no shower curtain so water leaks all over bathroom when showering

The restaurant was not open until 7pm which was late for us so we had to go elsewhere for food. We were also told that the only food available would be oven baked food. The eftpos was down so we had to pay cash which left us a bit down on physical funds. The water also got disrupted leaving us without showers before bed

Pool area was fantastic.

Music went late at night, it was unnecessary.

Good view of the sea, has swimming pool. Renovated furniture. Some burger shops in the main area operate 24/7.

Breakfast option are very limited and not good. The receptionist was a little cunning in her mannerisms: 1. We were almost about to cancel but the receptionist hit pay without a final confirmation. The reason for cancellation was that the rooms we booked were small, and with no space for opening our bags and stuff. 2. We were also in discussion wether to get massage in house, and we were at the reception, when the receptionist just confirmed and told us that masseuse are on their way and couldn't be cancelled. Again, she called them without our confirmation. Glad that it wasn't prepaid and we were able to go out. The Wifi was not working at all, and it became difficult for one of our friend, who was working remotely that day. The property location is also not very convenient, and is far from the central area. It was a relief that we had a car with us to move around.

I had such an amazing stay at Serene Oasis Resort! From the moment I arrived, I already felt the calm and peaceful vibe of the place. The surroundings are clean, beautifully landscaped, and really live up to the name “Serene.” It’s the perfect spot if you want to relax, recharge, and escape the busy city life. It was almost typhoon season during my stay, and I was a bit worried at first — but thankfully, the weather was fine and the area wasn’t affected at all. Everything went smoothly, and I was able to fully enjoy my time there without any worries. The staff were all so friendly and respectful. What really stood out to me was how they bow as part of their greetings — and it’s not just one or two of them, but almost everyone! It felt so warm and sincere that I couldn’t help but smile and bow back too. Their hospitality made me feel genuinely cared for. The room was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. The bed was soft, the air-conditioning worked great, and it was so peaceful — no noise, just the sound of nature and the sea breeze. The food was also delicious! Everything tasted fresh and was served beautifully. Breakfast by the beach was such a highlight — relaxing, scenic, and just what I needed to start the day. In terms of value for money, I’d say this resort is absolutely worth it. You really get what you pay for — comfort, service, and a quiet, relaxing environment. Si buscas un lugar tranquilo, con un personal increíble, buena comida, habitaciones limpias y un ambiente súper relajante, Serene Oasis Resort es definitivamente el lugar ideal. ¡Se lo voy a recomendar a mis amigos y familia, y ya estoy emocionada por volver! Gracias, Serene Oasis, por una experiencia tan hermosa.

Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like about my stay. Everything exceeded my expectations. I noticed a few people gave low ratings, but maybe it’s because Serene Oasis is one of the more high-end resorts in the area, and not everyone appreciates that kind of quality and tranquility. Well, I got exactly what I paid for — and it was worth every cent!

Das Hotel an sich war akzeptabel – sauber und soweit in Ordnung.

In der Zimmerbeschreibung steht ausdrücklich „mit Balkon“, und das ist schlicht gelogen. Es gibt keinen Balkon! So etwas darf einfach nicht passieren. Erst irgendwo im langen Beschreibungstext findet man versteckt den Hinweis, dass es doch keinen Balkon gibt. Das ist täuschend und sollte von Booking.com sofort unterbunden werden. Außerdem ist es das Allerletzte, dass man die Buchung trotzdem nicht stornieren oder ändern darf, obwohl die Angaben nachweislich falsch sind. So etwas darf auf einer großen Plattform wie Booking.com nicht vorkommen.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and bathrooms also. We enjoyed the karaoke room and pool table. Having our trips around the island and airport transport arranged was easy with the hotel staff.

The breakfast was average, though and so were the dinners - they had a wide selection of meals but many of them were pre-maid stuff (like pizzas) and we missed fresh fruit/coconut juices that we'd enjoyed in other places in the Philippines. There is no beach in the area (which is all right, we knew it in advance) but the access to the sea could have been better. There are nice corals not far away from the coast but not easy to get to it. If the pier was a bit longer, it would just be great! In general, there is nothing to do around the hotel (which was expected for the place and we didn't mind) and you must rely on trips.

It has that relaxing vibe. A good place to relax and chill. They have amazing food with huge serving portions

Some fixtures need a bit of touch up. That you won’t really need to worry about because it is very clean.

The staff were very helpful and professional, the pool is nice to relax in. There is karaoke, billiards (pool) and the food was very good!

Karaoke is for some reason played so loud you can't have a conversation with someone without shouting! It's ridiculously loud. It is impossible to relax in your room whilst someone is using it

The staff made our stay extremely enjoyable - a truly lovely bunch of people who we consider friends for life following our stay! The pool is lovely and the KTV rooms are lots of fun.

Unfortunately the resort itself is not kept very clean, food & drinks are very overpriced (plus not many western-friendly options are on the menu just FYI!) and the location is no good for swimming in the sea.

1. There was a big yellow stain in our bed 2. There were lizards and red ants everywhere 3. Staff were very non attentive and felt like they could not get it together

Everything! The staff, the price, the restaurant, the facilities were all wonderful!

I don’t like that you can’t bring your own snacks or drinks for your room. Also, had to switch rooms due to toilet issue.

Waiting staff were inattentive for meals. Lots of little lizards and cockroach. Beware of service charges. Any food or drink ordered, even opening drinks in the room incur a service charge. Room had dust and cobwebs on the walls. The property is also right off the highway, so lots of traffic behind the complex.

Convenient to the whale sharks, loved having the bar, KTV, billiard table, swimming pools. Nice family atmosphere.

Friendly staff, lovely pool and the option to have a massage by the sea was excellent.

The shower was not enclosed and the shower head couldn’t remain upright, so required handheld shower, which was not what we expected for the price paid. The room was very small for a ‘deluxe’ room. The price point was very high for transport (over double the price for comparable journeys on the island) and laundry (which also resulted in damaged clothing). No sun loungers made relaxing by the pool challenging. Restaurant was very hit or miss.

Pricey drinks, bed was uncomfortable (wooden base, not a big mattress on top) charge to use pool table by the hour? Why? Ghost payment on property so you reserve then pay at property, no beach just rocks
