I had a wonderful stay! Tim was an amazing host,so thoughtful and attentive to everything we could possibly need, and extremely helpful. The room was super comfortable and clean. The hot shower was fantastic with strong water pressure and stable temperature. I will definitely stay here again next time!

If I could give 100 stars, I would. Staying at Fat Lips was honestly one of the most unusual and unforgettable hotel experiences I have ever had, in the best possible way. The hotel itself is fantastic: everything is clean, well maintained and comfortable, the air conditioning works perfectly, and the location close to Cloud 9 is absolutely ideal. But what truly makes this place exceptional is the owner, Tim. Tim is not just a host, he is genuinely one of the coolest and most generous people I have met during my travels. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel completely welcome. Since he also owns a surf shop, he immediately helped me out with a surfboard. Instead of a normal scooter, I even ended up with a proper motocross bike. He took me surfing, brought me along on an incredible surf charter, and we even went on a property tour together. This was far beyond anything you would normally expect from a hotel stay. Tim has lived on Siargao for around 15 years, knows the island extremely well and is simply an outstanding person, relaxed, authentic, entrepreneurial and incredibly easy to talk to. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. Fat Lips is not only a great place to sleep, it is the kind of place that makes you feel connected to the island from the first day. An absolute recommendation.

The location is very convenient, close to many trendy restaurants and bars and most importantly to the main surfing area cloud 9. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Had a great stay here, even though it was only for one night. The room was comfortable, well presented, and we slept like a dream. The view was beautiful and the whole place had a lovely feel to it. Big thanks to Apple for being so friendly and helpful. She showed us around and explained everything we needed to know. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay again.

Alles, Wir hatten einen perfekten Aufenthalt in der Lodge. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es gibt im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften gratis frischen Kaffee, Trinkwasserspender, Regenmäntel und alles, was man sonst für einen unbeschwerten Aufenthalt braucht. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist perfekt zum Surfen, denn es sind auch fußläufig Surfspots (bzw. die Bootsablegestelle Kanaway) erreichbar. Tim und sein Team sind extrem bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Bspw. haben sie uns einen Transport vom und zum Flughafen organisiert. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich noch Julius, der unseren Aufenthalt mit seiner offenen und netten Art perfekt gemacht hat. Abschließend möchte ich erwähnen wie praktisch es war, dass man bei FatLips nicht nur schlafen kann, sondern auch Mopeds und Surfboards ausborgen kann. Wir kommen wieder. 100% Empfehlung.

Por decir algo... es un problema generalizado el tema de apagones por la noche, aun así hay un generador que ayuda en estos casos. También la entrada hasta llegar al hotel con los baches llenos de agua que dificulta el acceso, menos mal que apenas llego a llover en nuestra estancia. Por supuesto, el aire acondicionado hace muchísimo ruido, algo a lo que te acostumbras si estas muchos días en filipinas...

The owner Tim is very helpful and friendly, as well as his team! The location in the back road makes it quiet but still in the center of Cloud 9 and next to the beach and a lot of restaurants. The guide book Tim wrote was very complete and made you navigate smoothly in Siargao. Highly recommend this accommodation!

Perfect accomodation, the lodge situated in very quiet place, surraunded by rustic houses, for sure you will hear roosters and dogs but it is much better than hastle road. Two lovely dogs live there - Mia and Tiger, they are so friendly, affectionate, are always in a good mood. The room is spacios, there is everything for comfortable stay and work remotly, the desk and the chair are the best, shared kitchet is avaliable. Tim is an amazing host ans super nice man, please spend time and learn his detailed 72 pages guide from the oficial web, you won't be regret, it really help during stay in Siargao.

We loved our stay here. everything about it was perfect. the staff were lovely especially tim the owner who took time showing us everything about the place and was always there to help if we needed. they rented us a motorbike and surfboard for a great price too. the rooms are clean and comfy and all facilities are great and the place is in a perfect spot.

It is a bit of a walk from the main road.

I had a lovely stay at Fat Lips Surf Lodge overall. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxed stay. The hostess was incredibly kind and helpful throughout, which made a big difference and added a very personal touch to the experience. The location is also a great plus—very close to Cloud 9, so perfect if you’re there for surfing or just want to be near one of Siargao’s main spots. Overall, a great place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but best suited for those who don’t mind a bit of noise or come prepared for it.

That said, there are a few things to be aware of. The air conditioning unit was quite loud, and since the lodge is surrounded by local houses, there was a fair amount of noise at night from barking dogs and roosters. If you’re a light sleeper, earplugs are definitely a must. During my stay, there was also construction happening around the property, which added to the noise during the day.

¿Lo mejor? Sus dos perritos <3 me alegraba verlos, son muy tiernos cuando te reciben! El lugar estaba escondido, por lo tanto tenías vista como de la selva, pero saliendo de allí estabas en una de las calles principales. Aunque sí o sí es necesaria una moto o e-bike. El internet me funcionó super para hacer algunos días teletrabajo. Entregaban un raincoat de muy buena calidad, por lo que me sirvió bastante para ciertos días lluviosos. Por lo menos en los días que estuve no se cortó la electricidad, lo cual me comentaron que era muy común en Siargao.

El camino para llegar al lodge está en muy mal estado, lo que resulta muy difícil caminar sin mojarte los pies si vas en periodo de lluvias y se inunda y sales a comer a pie. Asimismo en moto hay que pasar con cuidado. Sería bueno rellenar y poner luces para la noche, ya que es muy oscuro. Aún así no me sentí insegura. El lodge estaba en construcción por remodelación, por lo que a veces hacían ruido temprano. Hubiese sido perfecto si ofrecieran servicio de lavandería.

bed is comfortable there is 20L of drinking water, that is amazing. there is starlink there is light with battery and fan has built in battery.

aircon is very loud, it is single window unit style. location is very bad: * very narrow and dirt road , airport service and cars does not go inside. * neighbour has agressive dogs they are very problamatic in the dark-they block the road to the hotel, street dogs are ok. there is no fridge in the room.

Le personnel est vraiment adorable (mention spéciale à Din din qui est super réactive par message), la chambre était très belle et l’équipe facilite l’accès au Lodge (qui n’est pas situé sur une route principale) depuis l’aéroport. J’ai aussi adoré le guide partagé par l’équipe avec plein d’adresses à Siargao, et les bonnes écoles de surf (j’ai pris mon premier cours de surf avec Surf Logs grâce à ce guide).

Tout était très bien mais s’il faut mentionner des axes d’amélioration alors la propreté de la chambre et le petit déjeuner pourraient être optimisés (plus d’options de petit déjeuner : pancakes par exemple ?).

Everything. The staff were amazing the owner was so welcoming. We went for a surf and spoke a lot. Any small issue you have is resolved immediately. They are so attentive. Location is ideal as well.

Room was quite large, comfortable and quiet

No place other than room to hang out. Not much sense of staff or ownership there. The first motorbike they rented us had two broken mirrors. There had been a ton of rain so the road to the hotel, which is a bit off the main road, was flooded. Motorbiking was interesting; walking would’ve been ugly.

It is close to Cloud 9, which can be an advantage for those interested in that area. I found the location to be safe. There are restaurants and laundries nearby. The yard is well-kept, and there is also a shared kitchen that you can use if needed. Bed is very comfortable. Staff is great, very helpful.

The location is right next to some residences with many roosters and loud karaoke parties, resulting in constant noise. As for the room, it requires several upgrades: more bathroom hooks, hangers, and a luggage rack are needed. I also noticed a significant amount of mold in the room and bathroom.

Cozy property, good communication, overall felt clean and was very happy with it. Strongest wifi we’ve had since being in Philippines

On my first day at Fat Lips Surf Lodge, Starlink was down because the weather was bad. I know that happens on the island when the weather turns, which is why I was really worried since I needed to work. The next morning, I walked into the kitchen and saw three techs already installing PLDT Fiber. By the afternoon, the internet was back up. Tim is basically a magician. Crisis averted! The work station setup was such a treat too. Big hardwood table, comfy chair, incense, and a really calming vibe. I actually felt productive, and that says a lot. But my absolute favorite part was the coffee station. Freshly ground local beans, a french press, and a water heater right in my room. Such an underrated luxury. So convenient and it made my mornings so much better. Overall, Fat Lips Surf Lodge feels really chill and genuinely thoughtful, perfect for anyone who wants the best mix of relaxing and functional. Already planning my next stay.

Really friendly staff. Din was very responsive, approachable, and very helpful in organizing airport transfers for me. Sh even gave me a lot of tips on how to maximize my experience in Siargao. Overall, I had a very hassle-free stay and would recommend Fat Lips. Great location and friendly staff. It was a quiet place but not so far from the center of General Luna.

The Fat Lips Surf Lodge had the best team helping us with everything we needed. From carrying our bags to and from the lodge and getting our room ready as soon as they could.

The walk way to get in and out of the lodge can flood when it rains but this is out of the property’s control

Super friendly and helpful staff (especially Din, who was there to meet us with her friendly vibe right from the beginning, and helped us through the end of our stay), beautiful tropical setting, comfortable rooms with good AC. Our plans changed a few times, and Din and team were especially accommodating. They also got us dialed in with some scooters, and transport to and from the airport, which made logistics much easier. Highly recommended!

It was amazing experience in Fat Lips Lodge. Host and staffs was super kind and helful. At the beginning, need to walk littlebit inside of narrow street with baggages, so we had a concern. But, pretty different with our expecting! Inside looks like garden! Calmful, peaceful. My daughter is still looking for Tiger that they have. ^^; Tiger made amazing memories for us. She's so sweet and gentle as well. And the staffs were so good. Always smiled and try to help us. Thanks for giving us great memory. Definitely we will visit again ;)

It was exactly as advertised. Perfect spot to stay while surfing all the spots in Siargao. Plenty of places to eat with just a short walk or scooter ride. The staff is so kind to help you get situated with anything you need for your stay; board rentals, scooter rentals, rides to and from the airport.

Location and rooms were very bright.

The staff is there every time you ask for anything. The lodge is quite and perfect if you want a bit of peace after the whole day out. We also worked from there and wifi worked perfectly, they also have a generator in case the power cuts, but likely we didn't experience it. The bed in the room is super comfortable and the room itself is quite nice. You can have breakfast there in case you want and we were sent a guide with literally everything you can think of, super helpful.

No place to hang things inside the room but not a major problem for us

Really quiet neighbourhood and nice beds and air con make it a pleasure for getting a good nights sleep! The lodge is tucked away from the main road but close to Cloud 9 and all the action in General Luna. I also loved the fresh coffee in the rooms and the beach towels and rain ponchos were a nice touch.

The place is very nice and beautifully maintained, with a pleasant atmosphere and a lovely garden that smells wonderful. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. Everything looks great and is well organized. The kitchen is well equipped, allowing me to cook my own meals comfortably, and all necessary amenities are provided. Overall, it is a very pleasant and convenient place to stay.

Simply everything. The staff, and especially Din Din the manager, were amazing and so helpful. Any request or question we had Din Din was there! In addition , the room was clean, well organised and very modern and aesthetic, a design that really feels like home and not as a Cliché. And last, the location. Located in the centre of all the surfing spots and in very short ride from the bars and restaurants , therefore it central and quiet at the same time.

We were in the new deluxe villa, it’s been set up super well and is comfortable with great coffee. Tim, Din an the team are always on hand to help with anything, they are all amazing. We stayed 13 nights and would stay again!

We enjoyed everything!! The room is beautiful, the location is great, very close to restaurants and to the beach. The staff was great and they will help you with everything. If we return to Siargao for sure we will stay here.

Beautiful place, incredibly friendly welcome from the staff and owners. So many extra touches like rai jackets in the rooms, beach towels, toothbrush kits which make all the difference. Really perfect location, quiet but close enough to waves, restaurants and anything else you might need. Breakfasts are banging, free coffee in the rooms with freshly ground beans - it’s such a great place to stay. They can also sort motorbike and surfboard rental easily and there’s always someone on hand to help with whatever you might want to do.

השביל גישה חשוך ודי קשה למצוא את המקום, בתור בחורה שטיילה לבד, היה לי לא נעים להגיע לבדי בשעות הערב היו יחסית הרבה הפסקות חשמל ונכנסו די הרבה חרקים לחדר שלי כי הדלת פונה ישר לחצר (שזה מאוד יפה ונעים אבל מהבחינה הזאת מאוד בעייתי)

The place was beautiful, everything was so thoughtful, there was coffee presser and tea, rain poncho available, multiple towels and even towels for the beach, the host was nice and sociable, gave great recommendations, we stayed for 3 nights and loved it!

Really nice room with all the facilities you need, airco, fan (with batteries), comfortble matress, flash light, good internet, soap in the bathroom and drinking water! Tim was very helpfull and could tell you everything about Siargoa. The lodge is about a 10 min ride from general Luna, for us this was perfect, away from the crowd and noice.

Отель очень милый, все сделано с душой и заботой о гостях. Если вы на байке, то без проблем быстро добреетесь в любую точку, а плюс расположения в том, что он находится в тихом месте. На территории живут две милые песи Миа и Тайгер

I loved everything about my stay! Everything in the room was well thought of and the balcony with the view to the tropical garden was one of my highlights. The bed was very comfortable, the a/c was great, the internet was perfect for work. The staff was very friendly and helpful for anything I asked. At the arrival Tim gave an amazing introduction so that I didn't have any questions and could find everything easily. I had other two acommodations downtown General Luna before my stay here and I definitely liked it more to stay in a way more peaceful and remote from chaos place like FatLips. It still is super easy to get around by scooter anywhere you'd need. Absolutely recommend! When I'm coming back I'm staying here again.

Tim is super kind and always reachable. He makes everything possible for you and makes you feel like home. The surroundings are very quiet but so near to cloud 9 and sunset bridge. the staff is friendly and helpful, the bed is extremely comfy, the warm water shower ist great, the kitchen ist well stuffed and there is scooter rental available. Oh where to start…perfection. Mr. Tim, Ms. Apple, and the entire staff are the loveliest hosts. Full of information about everything and anything Siagaro, with a smile. The room was super clean, the bed was beyond comfortable, and the garden is your own personal jungle with the most beautiful lush greenery. Location is perfect, just far away from all the noise yet close enough to everything. I would recommend and come back in a heartbeat.

Everything’s was perfect

Like everyone says, Tim and Apple are great hosts! Tim has thought of all the details to making your stay as comfortable as possible. Motorbike rental from them was easy and straightforward. Even during power outages, they provide extra supplies to keep you comfortable. I won't repeat all the great things everyone says, but they are true!

With our room being on the upstairs corner facing towards the neighbors there were instances of dogs barking that woke us up. Tim is very caring so if it becomes an issue I am sure he will take care of it 🙂 Thanks again guys for a great stay!

Tim and Julius were great hosts, everything was perfect. They gave us great advice and were very kind to us. The room was very clean and all the details were well taken care of. The location is excellent, close to Cloud 9 and the Sunset Bridge, with plenty of restaurants nearby. It was even better than we expected.

The rooms are spacious, shower has hot water, AC works perfectly, bed very comfortable, there’s a clothing rack outside for wet clothes, hand grounded coffee beans, high quality fans and flashlights in case of an electricity shortage on the island, unlimited (plastic free!) drinking water, very clean room&bathroom. Moreover, the owner is very welcoming and thoughtful, making you feel really comfortable. We even got a very useful over 70 page long pdf of truly everything that could be useful in Siargao, including more hidden, local spots on the island to visit. We really had the best and most relaxing 4 nights staying at Fat Lips, could not recommend it more.

Great room, comfy bed, very friendly and helpful staff, nice balcony view of tropical trees, unique location tucked inside a quiet area but close enough to restaurants a short walk to the main road. We were able to check-in early, room came with with a french press, water heater w tea and coffee. Lovely short stay for our last minute extra day in this part of the island.

These are excellent guest houses that are found deep in the village, which is why it is very quiet and peaceful here. All the windows overlook a beautiful tropical garden - you can just sit and contemplate nature for hours. The staff is incredibly hospitable and helpful - all questions and requests were resolved immediately. Special thanks to Tim, Din and Julius! It feels like people are taking the matter with all their heart and responsibility.
