Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Het was een super comfortabele kamer, goede bedden, grote fantastische badkamer, heerlijk warm en koud water, goed ontbijt, goede ligging (5 minuten lopen naar de kashba). De kamers hadden leemmuren, en waren modern ingericht, fantastisch! De eigenaar en zijn gezin zijn heel aardig en behulpzaam. Hij heeft ons geholpen met het printen van ons bording-passen. We hadden een rustig verblijf.

Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Location is at the edge of the town but still close to all the restaurants and Ait Benhaddou. We expected a bit more for the price since it was quite high for Moroccan Hotel Prices. Breakfast was great, tea, coffee, orangejuice, bread, spreads, eggomelette and a sweet treat. Parking was easy around the hotel.
The Riad had a fountain but unfortunately, there was no water running in it. The ac in one if the rooms did not work (ee also didnt report it, so for us it was ok)

Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Sehr zentral gelegene Unterkunft und Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür. Das Badezimmer war sauber. Ein einfaches Berber Frühstück. Die Unterkunft eignet sich gut für eine Nacht und die Besichtigung von Ait Ben Haddou zum Sonnenuntergang oder morgens, wenn wenig Touristen vor Ort sind.
Das Fenster war von außen verdunkelt und die Lampen waren schwach, daher war das Zimmer sehr dunkel. Eine Person hatte leichte Allergie Reaktionen (Hausstaub).

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026We stayed here in July during our road trip to the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. This property was a good spot to take a break from the intense desert heat. I am providing detail to help other fellow travelers with the type of information I would like to see in reviews so I can make an informed decision. Location: While the initial turnoff from the main street can feel a bit unsettling because the entrance road looks unfinished and faces an empty field, you quickly realize it is a blessing. It keeps the property quiet and away from main road traffic while still being within walking distance to Aït Benhaddou. Because of the July heat, we still opted to drive closer to the ksar, but keep in mind that wherever you park, you still have to walk across the dry riverbed to get into the old city. Parking: A massive bonus is the free parking; felt completely safe right on the side of the building, allowing us to leave our car there without any worry. Easy to get in and out. The Authentic Vibe & Cleanliness: Step inside and you genuinely feel like you are stepping back in time. It is a Riad type style house, not a high-end luxury modern hotel, but it is super authentic and incredibly clean. Strategic AC Solution: Air conditioning is absolutely vital in this part of the world. Our first room had AC, but because it faced the front of the building and took the brunt of the intense sun all day, it struggled against the outside heat. We asked to switch to a room at the back of the building, and that made a massive difference. The AC in the back room was key and kept us comfortable. The Room & good Shower: The host was very understanding and moved us to a new room in the back. It was basic but had everything we needed, including three comfortable single beds with the right amount of sheets. The bathroom was actually quite large and featured an amazing shower! The water flow was excellent, both the hot and cold water worked perfectly, and it had a great showerhead.
Things to Keep in Mind: First Impressions: The entrance road can be slightly off-putting at first glance because it looks unfinished and sits next to an empty, deserted-looking neighborhood, though this seems standard for many properties in the area. Host Welcome: Our arrival check-in felt a bit cold at first, though the host definitely warmed up and became very pleasant and accommodating shortly after. Aging Property: It is an older, aging traditional property, so do not expect modern luxury or high-end finishes.

Reviewed May 9, 2026Sehr schönes Riad mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das ganze Haus hat ein wunderschönes, authentisches Ambiente. Besonders die Lage ist perfekt, direkt beim Ksar von Ait Ben Haddou, sodass man alles bequem zu Fuß erreichen kann. Insgesamt ein wirklich toller Aufenthalt, den wir sehr gerne weiterempfehlen.

Reviewed May 9, 2026Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und haben uns während unseres Aufenthalts sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Dachterrasse ist super, weil sie sowohl Sonnen- als auch Schattenplätze bietet. Wir konnten dort unsere Wäsche für 50MAD waschen, was sogar das Personal für uns übernommen hat. Die Lage ist perfekt! Das Frühstück war ok.

I was able to park my motorcycle safely within the hotel premises, which I really appreciated. The room was well-equipped, with air conditioning and a balcony overlooking palm trees, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place!

Na naszą prośbę właściciel przygotował nam ciepłe śniadanie na wynos o 6:00. Jeśli chcesz dotrzeć do Merzouga i zdążyć na przejażdżkę wielbłądami do campu, a po drodze zwiedzić dwa kaniony musisz wyjechać wcześnie rano.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, même si nos amis ont été quelque peu gênés par des aboiements de chiens errants durant la nuit. Je recommande vivement.

La zona no dice nada.. y la decoración de la habitación no nos gustó, pero la comodidad si. Para una o dos noches cumple con todo lo esencial, aunque eso.. las vistas y los alrededores no dicen nada..

Reviewed Apr 10, 2026We had their biggest room, room 10, whivh was spacious with a large and very comfy bed and a pull-out sleeping sofa, a good bathroom. The area is so quiet compared to Marrakech, 5 min walk to the Ksour, and a fantastic rooftop terrace for watching the stars at night. Great hospitality and service from our hosts. Had to get from Marrakech to Ait BenHaddou, and they found us a very welcoming driver, Jamal, who drove safely and calmly (from a Scandinavian perspective), and stopped for some photos underway for us, and he even invited us home to him which we unfortunately were unable to do due to time-constraints. Highly reccommend!
As the guesthouse is on the ourtskirts of town (yet very close to the Ksour), there were some loose dogs running around town at night barking woke us up, and they made it feel a bit unsafe walking to the guesthouse after sunset, as there is no public lighting. The breakfast was good, but we wish it had more local traditional bread/influences instead of white baguette which has little nutritional value.

Das Frühstück war gut :) Die Lage ist minimal außerhalb aber es ist alles gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr freundliches Personal.
