Lovely tented camp by yourself, enjoyed dune bashing sunset tour and camel sunrise tour. Dinner was great delivered to your tent.
There is nothing quite like this amazing experience. Completely alone in the desert in a beautifully designed, spacious tent. The setup is stylish and comfortable, and waking up to nothing but sand dunes in every direction is pretty hard to beat. Meals are driven out to you across the desert, with camels and goats wandering over to say hello, sunrise from the bed. At night, you can see a sky full of stars. It was truly magical
Nothing
Einsame Lage, top Ausstattung, super freundliche Betreuung. Tolles lokales Abendessen und Frühstück
Nichts, war unglaublich gut!
L’emplacement exceptionnel, le confort, le dîner et le petit déjeuner. Tout est bien pensé, bravo!

Ganz alleine in der Wüste
Amazing stay...really great facilities
Dinner could've been better for the price.
Esperienza davvero suggestiva.
Food was incredible, the accommodation was clean, the location was stunning, and Marwan (our guide) was so kind. We enjoyed spending time with him and learning about the desert. It was a very peaceful experience and we felt privileged to have been able to stay there. Also, the bed is super comfortable and the room smelled beautiful. The touches to the outdoor space really make it a special experience as well.
The place is difficult to get to without a guide. We had to pay for someone to deflate our tires and guide us to the location however we believe this type of service should have been included. Also, there is no WIFI so we do not recommend coming out here unless you are prepared and on the Oman phone network. Not sure what the connectivity service was like as we were not connected at all. Our generator stopped working at 4:30a which cut the power to the A/C. It got hot quickly which resulted in the experience being uncomfortable. We made our guide aware of this at 8a when breakfast arrived however the generator did not get fixed during our stay and we checked out early. The owner was very on-top of this situation as they had new guests arriving that afternoon. We would have notified the owner sooner than 8am however we were completely disconnected (no network for us). The toilet also had a leak after flushing. No unpleasant smell but a yellow color led to the drain which was a bit off putting.
An amazing experience. Very quiet and calm.

Great facilities, very clean. Bathroom was large and modern
La Duna Desert Camp is a truly beautiful and remote retreat in the heart of the desert. The location offers complete peace and privacy — perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy nature in silence. The experience was mostly amazing. Communication with the camp via WhatsApp was smooth and easy, which made organizing everything very convenient.
However, there were a couple of small issues during our stay. One evening, the dinner provided was not vegetarian as requested. Also, there seems to be a problem with the toilet in the bathroom — possibly a leak — which led to some unpleasant smells. Despite these minor problems, the overall experience was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend La Duna for anyone seeking a unique and peaceful desert getaway!
Very good attention to details especially considering the location. Location itself is superb and staff very friendly. Beautiful secluded desert environment, perfect if you want isolation. Dinner rich and tasty.
Bathroom with no air conditioning but minor issue. Breakfast could have been richer
The location of the camp is perfect, far away from other camps so you really get to enjoy your time in the desert. Definitely one of the most unique accommodations you can book. The room is new and clean and breakfast and dinner were amazing. The hosts are really friendly and helpful and they even brought us a huge container of ice when we asked.
Not really a negative, but just to be aware that there's an electric generator required for the air-conditioner and a few other high-voltage items which can be noisy, however, it can easily be turned off when not in use. A few additions like hand towels and a bath mat would be great.
Everything was perfect, the room was really comfy and the fact that we were alone was incredible. The food was so good and tasty. Worth every penny, I recommend!
Very good experience in the desert. We stayed for 1 night and felt this was long enough. Clean and modern room and bathroom with outside seating areas. Tea/coffee is provided along with some bottled water. We were met by staff at a pickup point just outside the desert and followed them in in our 4x4 after they had let our tyre pressure down. The drive is about 5mins from the tent and is fairly easy. We had booked dune bashing/sunset viewing and were picked up by the same staff at our agreed time. This was a great experience and highly recommend. A very peaceful experience being in this tent at night - I can't remember the last time I experienced silence like it. Omani breakfast the next morning was perfect.
The bathroom had a bit of a drain smell but im guessing it's all going into a tank so not sure if that can be fixed. The source of electricity for the aircon is a petrol generator behind the tent so just turn that off if you want some peace and quiet. The dinner we paid for turned out to be a buffet at a different hotel which was sort of confusing as that hadn't been communicated to us at all - they just randomly pulled into its carpark on the way back from the dune bashing. No internet or TV. It would be nice if hand towels were provided in the bathroom.
This camp was the absolute highlight of our 2-week trip to Oman! As far as I can tell, it is one of the only camps where you are completely alone—without any other guests or neighbors in sight or within hearing distance. It is situated slightly elevated on a dune, surrounded by more dunes to explore or to watch spectacular sunsets from. At night, the starry sky appears in a way you may have never seen before. The accommodation provides everything you would expect in a regular hotel room, making the stay very comfortable (electricity and running water are not a given in all camps, but here we even had air conditioning). The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and practical. The outdoor area features a fire pit where we sat in the evening, enjoying a book by the fire. The food was excellent and can be ordered through the host, who delivers it to the accommodation right on time. We never knew what menu to expect, but everything was delicious—just trust the host, he really knows what’s good! Bring a healthy appetite because the portions are huge! Drinking water is available at the camp, so there’s no need to worry about that. We also booked a desert excursion through the camp, driving up and down the dunes in a 4x4 (we didn’t drive ourselves). A huge thank you to Nassr, who showed us the best spots and even brought a sandboard for us to have some fun in the sand. Later, he prepared a BBQ for us under what felt like the only two trees in the entire desert.

We picked La Duna as it looked more private and secluded than the nearby desert camps - and we were not disappointed. The brainchild of Nasser, a young local engineer with a passion for design, La Duna combines all mod cons with a genuine desert experience. Sunrise comes through the panoramic front windows, and dinner (optional) and breakfast, which Nasser brings up from the village, were the best meals we had in our 10 days in Oman. He also knows the best spots on the dunes for sunset viewing. Best suited for couples.
Electric generator can be noisy for some, but it's only required for air conditioner, kettle and a couple other high-voltage items. Solar panels for LED lighting means you can leave the generator off for most of your stay and make the most of the off-grid desert solitude that La Duna offers.
Super remote and great little touches. Also super host and unbelievably comfortable bed.
The location and the whole experience is just amazing. The camp is very clean and super aesthetic. The host made us home cooked delicious meal and even adjusted for our vegetarian requirements. Overall a great experience

I came across La Duna when searching for a nice place for my Fiancé and me to stay. Out of all the camps I found, La Duna looked the most attractive, but I was initially a bit hesitant as I could not find any reviews about it. Some further research showed me that it was a brand-new camp, which explained the lack of reviews. I contacted them via their IG page and got a super friendly and supportive feedback from Mr. Nasser, the manager or owner of La Duna. Not only did he answer all my questions I had about La Duna, but he also helped me with ideas and suggestions for the other part of our 10 days Oman trip, which was an extremely valuable insight from a local and much more than I could have hoped for. So I decided to book 2 nights at La Duna and when we finally arrived there, our expectations were by far exceeded. It’s an absolutely stunning camp and extremely private, there is just one camp (tent) available for exclusive use in an incredible desert setting. Unlike nearly all the other camps, La Duna has a more modern approach and design, which we preferred over the somewhat awkward traditional camps with their black tents and weird carpets. La Duna is bright and clean and spacious, from inside more like a luxury hotel room than a tent, with a proper cooling AC, hot water and a strong water pressure in the shower. We were prepared for much worse, but at La Duna really everything worked as it should. Mr. Nasser and his team took extremely well care of us and delivered delicious meals to our camp. It cannot get more exclusive and if you are looking for a luxurious desert experience out of the ordinary, then La Duna is the place to go.
The location was perfect as we couldn’t see anything in a distance. Despite being a tent, the facilities were like and just like a hotel room with a bed, coffee machine, bathroom and shower. Outside there was a swing and several places to lounge or have meals. The owner took us dune bashing which was so much fun !
This camp is a private camp in the desert.Only one camp all around. It's designed by the owner and well decorated just like a luxury hotel. If you prefer privacy this camp must be your first choice. The owner is super nice.Fell like I am his family member. They provide all kind of activities such as camel riding and dune pushing. They offer transportation from the meeting point to the camp for 20 Omani Rials (round trip). Enjoy dune pushing and sunset viewing for 25 Omani Rials, and dinner for 8 Omani Rials per person. You can see many stars at night.
