I had a wonderful three days here. Every day, I would ride my motorcycle to the temple, which was very close to the hostel, and spend some time there finding peace. Next time, I’ll bring my friends to stay here for a longer period. The host was incredibly nice, and the hostel was even better maintained.
Nhân viên phục vụ ko tốt
Ko có bãi đậu ô tô
Maya is great, she's very friendly and welcoming! Place is cosy and has a friendly vibe, great area for relaxing and cute cats too!

Matelas dur
The owner was really helpful. She might seem distant at first but would soon show her warm side when you approach. She has the customer’s best interest in mind which is a rare thing these days. She taught me a life lesson by just being her hardworking and positive self despite facing many life difficulties. Her son and the cats were fun to play with. The rooftop with the lake and garden view was a hidden gem.
My 4-bed dorm had no garden nor lake view and was definitely smaller than 25m2 as advertised. The mattress was smelly and uneven.
Loved the family atmosphere, had good sleep and made great friends along the way I loved the rooftop, the common areas and delicious food that the owner cooked for us <3
Honestly, everything was great, at first I was worried not having fans or ac in the room would be hot, but Dalat has a cool climate so the temperature was perfect! Around day time it’s 25 degrees max and drops to about 18 at night (I stayed in June)
Window in room
Staff was angry woman, barh room not good
Incredibly friendly staff, delicious and affordable breakfast and always happy to help with organizing trips. Maya is a sweetheart—always smiling and loves to chat. Peaceful surroundings, beautiful view of the strawberry field and nicely tucked away from the city center. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to others.
I had the most drama ever in this hostel.. We had an argument with the owner. In the process she was shouting, throwing trash around, breaking flower pots... I had to run away. If you decide to stay, make sure to be extra nice to the owner not to provoke disaster
The hostel was closed and telephone not answered
quiet place and good service for such a small price. you can rent a bike at the hostel
Incredibile Experience at Hugo’s family! The bed was comfortable and staff very kind! Thank you for all!
It is located in good silent place. The people in hostel are kind and willing to help with anything.
Best place for backpackers!
good place, quite
when hot weather - not enought air
The host, the bed, the food, the coffee, the environment. Everything was top notch. I wanted to stay there more but couldn’t due to my schedule. See you soon Hugo. Loved to be the part of the family.
Everything good. Price/quality ✅
I recommend this hostel! Rooms are good and clean. Maya, the owner is the sweetest and very funny. She also has a very cute cat. The prices are very cheap as well.
Only thing i liked here about Location.
I have experienced worst staff here so far and lady at reception seems arrogant. She was not helpful in any manner.
So homely, Maya is an angel and will help you fit right at home
Nothing bad, the location isn’t in the centre but a 10 min grab right is always available
Great Location for groups!!!
Staying there as a group during our Backpacking trip. Booking only 3 days upfront and we were so happy with our choice
A lovely, friendly and cosy place!
it was really amazing! like a home. Thanks to beautiful lady Maya it was the best servise!
The staff, Maia is lovely
- Clean accommodation, wide and comfortable bed. - Here you will meet a super cute cat.
- Nothing.
Very good
Very clean. Cute kitten. Nice and friendly location. Everything is very affordable.
Excellent place, highly recommended.
Probably the cheapest place I've ever stayed. Rooms are clean and do the job.
It's a bit of a walk from everything, you will need transportation.
A great value for money hostel and the hill view from the rooftop and even some rooms is simply beautiful. A perfect place for chilling out and relax, esp when coming after a crazy nightlife of Bui Vian (Saigon)😀. And what else can I say about the wonderful host Maya that hasn't been already said in almost every review.
Could be slightly hard to find for some, as it is down a narrow alley.
Mixed feelings. The facility was very clean and comfy. It feels like home indeed. The location is also good and the view from the window is pretty amazing. The owner is a kind and welcoming woman with a lovely son but she regularly yells at the top of her lungs...at guests. Another thing is that late at night or early in the morning she could talk really loudly, although people were still trying to sleep. All in all, it's a decent and nice place but be careful with the yelling and late night talks.
Excellent place to stay! Nice neighborhood, close to everything, extremely kind owner, beautiful and scenic hostel. Maya's a very accommodating and welcoming host. Would recommend to everyone!
Maya was extremely hospitable and helpful, were made to feel extremely welcome at her hostel. Thank you!
The personality of Maya! The location with nice views. The simplicity of everything. Just stay and enjoy the surroundings and local people everywhere with several restaurants near by. Thanks for everything I loved it being there.
Kind reminder to travelers: is one of the cheapest hostels you can find, don’t come with 5 stars hotel expectations. Unfortunately some arrogant travelers don’t get that.
The owner of this hostel is just the sweatiest on earth, and her little boy is so cute. The hostel his also really great and have everything. I highly recommend!
Good Price, Good View
Hugos hostel is in a great location and run by the loveliest host maya who is super helpful and funny, met alot of like minded people and made lots of new friends was just an all round great experience
I liked everything no negatives for me
Maya was so accomodating and made us an amazing dinner. We were only there for a few hours before catching a bus, but it was a fun and enjoyable experience! Thanks Maya!!
Lovely hostel! Maya is a helpful host with great communication. The hostel is in a great location and really affordable for solo traveler like me. Highly recommended
Lovely lovely hosts who made our stay so great. The beds were comfy and it is really good value for money! If I go back to Da Lat, I would stay here 😊 Thank you Maya!
Maya is awesome, really friendly and helpful and makes your stay a lot of fun! Her dinners were lovely as well! Beds were a little hard and short but good value for money. Highly recommend.
You were great host 🙏 Thanks for all ..
Maya, the owner is such a sweet and caring host, andade the stay super memorable. Everything was good, beds are on the harder side but I found them comfortable. Location was good, nice quiet part, maybe 40min walk to city center. Great value for money!
There was nothing to complain about on my part!
the duvet and pillows are extremely comfortable.
the bed frames were very fragile and dodgy.
Price very cheap
Bed and the owner
The hot water is a bonus. It's actually my fav. Subtle and flexible.
The host happened to be mean and unfriendly to me for my whole stay. She asked me to wait for her counting her money at night before I could check in. This took like 6-10 mins. She asked for the money right off the bat but asked me to wait for that. She asked me to open the front door which was not supposed to be guest's job. I asked her for the dryer once. She yelled at me for failing to hear her out in the first place. So I ended up going out with my wet hair couple times during 6 or 7 nights here. She had never ever felt sorry for that. It hurted. She and his partner had looked at me like a fraud for the first couple of days. Zero eye contacts or proper convo. That was so off.
Good value hostel, small locker for valuables in bed, and ac ports by each bed. Free towels for everyone and has a somewhat cheap laundry service as well
Cleanliness: the rooms seemed clean but on the last night, I woke up in the morning with several bed bug bites on my left shin and knee. There is also no hand soap offered in the shared bathrooms for some reason. Owner: we were kept awake at 11-ish pm one day by the owner scolding and hitting her child so hard it cried loud enough for it to be heard by us on the third floor. Where we come from people don’t hit their children so this was a bit crazy for us.
The staff was very nice.
Beds were hard but that was all that was bad.
The location, very close to popular attractions & not in a busy congested traffic area so it was less daunting to drive your scooters around. The staff were very helpful & was always around & available to help. Many reviews said the mattress were too hard but l slept really well, the hard mattresses actually felt better for my back.
The staff had moved our scooters inside overnight from where we parked it & in the process my rented helmet went missing, however it got returned later that day. Also while you are out your bed will get re-made but l wasn’t expecting that, as my things got moved & placed differently from where they were
The location is really nice, quite and peaceful. Staff is really really nice and warm. Beds have a little curtain for privacy and honestly in this amount you can't really as much. I was really really good. Host and Maya are really nice and very kind. They treat you like their family. This was one of my best experiences in Vietnam
I wish there was handwash in the washroom but in all fairness I didn't even ask.
Price and good owner. Maya was so funny to hang out and helpful.
Beds are so hard like a rock, but i stayed there for 2 nights, so it was ok. I use the Grab app, so it was easy to get around.
This is a great hostel for anyone looking for a quiet, welcoming place to stay. The view from the rooftop is incredible: you get a direct view on the hills and sunset. Maya, Mon, and even Vladimir were incredibly welcoming and it was a pleasure spending time with them. The mattresses are firm, but the warm welcome made me forget that ;) Would definitely come again.
Maya is super helpful.. and delicious cook..!
Nothi
Comfortable place in a lovely location, and with such friendly, helpful management. I would have loved to extend my stay there. Whilst the lockers provided are too small to be useful, the managers were happy to securely store my valuables whenever I asked.
As seems so common in Vietnam, there was little in the way of kitchen facilities for guests to use.
Maya, her son and the people working there currently are very nice and funny people. We shared some laughter and games with her son. She also helped me to book a bus to Hcmc, thanks a lot for everything!!
The room I stayed in didn't have windows and you could not close nor lock the door, which was ok because I only stayed one night
The rooftop is really nice. The rooms are spacious.
The location is really far from the city. In bathroom there was no toilet paper and it was a bit dirty.
Very nice hostel, Maya and his family welcomed me warmly. The hostel is located outside the chaos of the center of Da Lat but close to everything you want to visit. The view from the room is amazing (sunset 😍) and the room and bathroom are clean. Very good price for what you get, I definitely recommend to stay here!
The room was well equipped and the bed was a bit hard and squeaky, but that's OK with me. Overall the hostel was very clean and tidy. The personnel were friendly and very helpful. The hostel is in a quiet area, only a 30-minute walk to the city centre, with a convenient variety of nearby shops and restaurants. I would def come back and I strongly recommend it.
Great value for money. Maya is an amazing host and looks after everyone. Helps with bus tickets and suggestions of things to do. Food is also great and really good value!
Had a nice stay here, host is very kind, hot showers, a nice walk to get to the market/ centre
Beds are a little hard but still managed to sleep very well
