An Yen Resort

We loved the calm and the hospitality. Also the doggies and the bungalows themselves were very comfortable and clean. Alex was a great host and we will miss him!

We loved it all.

Bons cocktails, bon repas Reservé pour 3 nuits , resté 1 nuit. Les 2 autres ont été partiellement remboursées

La plage est une déchèterie

Peaceful private location

The only thing i disliked was that was no fridge in the room, but you can use theirs by the bar about 50m away

Hello! We loved being at An Yen Resort, Alex and his family are extremely nice hosts. The family room we took was clean and tidy, WiFi is great. The location is quite isolated, but the seaside view is charming. We loved it very much. It is very cozy, family style. The location is extremely beautiful, I strongly encourage travelers support this resort.

Well, I think it is Phu Quoc problem, the garbage that comes from the sea is not being cleaned up daily. It is understood, they do not have enough staff for it.

Great for dog lovers, beach and staff lovely.

Everything was great- location meant you are far away from any sort of food and the menu was a lot pricier than anything local. I think if prices were lower then alot more would prefer eating in over going out.

The host was great.

Consider that the rent is a true bungalow, so there will be bugs, mosquitoes and geckos everywhere.

Eco resort so very basic no fridge or Telly no safe

Had to put mostito nets up every night

The resort is okay. The price is good and the location is fairly convenient, although you need a scooter to get around easily. The staff were very kind and helpful.

The beach in the resort was disappointing, it was dirty, there was a bad smell, and it wasn’t possible to swim.

Sehr ruhige Lage. Super Bungalow direkt am Strand gelegen. Sehr freundliche Fanilie immer hilfsbereit. Absolut empfelungswert.

Rien

Limite aimable, chambre pratiquement jamais netoyè, eau chaude inexistante prix exorbitant

A személyzet végtelenül kedves, a kutyusok cukik.

A tengerpart élvezhetetlen a rengeteg szemét miatt. Hatalmas gyíkok voltak a fürdőszobában. Rengeteg a szúnyog.

The space is very cozy and peaceful. The hosts are very kind and accommodating. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The beach is right next to the bungalows so you can relax in the shade of the trees on the terrace after swimming. They also have motorbikes for rent at reasonable prices. I recommend and will definitely visit this place again 🙂

An Yen is a beautiful, tranquil resort tucked away in a stunning part of the island. The staff are wonderful and very welcoming. They arranged scooter rentals for us & the breakfast was 10/10. Eggs were superb and the fruit was insanely good. I could of spent many more days in this wonderful family run paradise!

Location is perfect if you are looking for a still preserved Phu Quoc, also 6mins away by scooter to the wonderful Sao beach. The staff is so nice, they told us a lot about Vietnam and arranged a takeaway breakfast on our last day. They also provide laundry service and scooter rental which is super convenient. Rooms are clean and big!

A few points of improvement: mattress is rock hard. Restaurant has a small menu and very expensive. Shower has a very low pressure, which we usually don't care about but after the sea it would've been nice otherwise

špína, strava

The staff were great .it's a great place if you need an break from being to busy. Really nice staff and good accommodation

Just a little of the beaten track if you want busy

Calm, peaceful, beautiful views. Comfortable beds and unique accommodation. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Nothing. We researched A Yen before booking and loved every minute of our stay there.

quite good breakfast

dirty beach, far away from everything

Posizione comoda, struttura nel verde, ospitali

Host are very welcoming and always ready to help you.

Facilities, calmness of the location

A little outside, so late at night if you want to go out then there are no options nearby

I liked leaving this place

This place is just not what it says at all, location is overexaggerated for distance to everything. Everything is 0-20 minutes further away, do your research and check. The food is terrible, the premises is ravaged with stray dogs that come right up to your ankles barking and especially when you come in at night, its not safe, they are also walking freely in the area you eat your food. The furniture in the place is broken everywhere, the beach is covered in trash that they burn, and the accomodations they make for you at a surcharge, is more expensive than anywhere on the island. None of the activities they list are available or even feasbly possible.

This is one of my favourite places that I have stayed so far. The location was remote but very beautiful and so peaceful with its own beach and seating area over looking the sea. The staff were so helpful and attentive and nothing at all was too much… I even got to play my own Spotify in the evening! Breakfast and food were good.. the bungalows were really well equipped and stunning inside. The shower is huge and the overall design was gorgeous. 💚

Absolutely nothing

Beautiful property in the middle of nature. So peaceful and quiet. The resort had everything you could imagine from renting scooters to explore the island or kayaks to explore the ocean. Truly a dream and such a special place.

Feels like in jungle. Amazing place, very good bungalows.

Bad beach condition, a lot of trash. Missed bathrobe.

Serene and peaceful location. A nice place for a meditation retreat basic and relaxing. The staff was wonderful

The restaurant needs improvement

Location

The doors are old

The most amazing staff I have ever encountered in all my years of traveling. If I could give them 100 stars, I definitely would. At the end of my vacation, I got food poisoning, and the staff was incredibly helpful and willing to assist. From morning to night, they were willing to cook me any meal that wasn't even on the menu or bring me medicine. Thank you for your care and concern! The accommodation itself was also beautiful. Everything was clean and fragrant. Beautiful bungalows in the middle of the forest right by the sea, where it is quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff also offer scooters for rent, so you can go anywhere at any time. A few minutes by scooter from the beautiful Sao Beach. We loved it, thank you for everything!! :)

On an island full of identikit hotels the An Yen resort stands out as a wonderful exception. We spent a lovely 5 nights there getting in some serous relaxation time after a heavy itinerary in the rest of Vietnam and it was perfect for our needs. The chalets are excellent- well appointed and near to the bar / restaurant area which had bags of character. Best of all were the staff. Alex, Nigel and his wife and wonderful little son are truly lovely people. We spent New Years Eve there at the barbecue and bonfire event and it was the best evening we’ve had in years.

The resort is shortly to get an upgrade. We liked it just the way it was, but no doubt the team will ensure it retains its special character and atmosphere.

Schöne ruhiges Resort, Personal und Chef sehr freundlich und zuverlässig Gutes Essen

Ohne Fahrzeug ist man etwas verloren Kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer wäre kein Fehler Betten waren etwas hart

The rooms (especially the family room) were very spacious. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We got to celebrate New Year’s with the staff and other guests, and it was sweet! The location is nice if you like quiet surroundings. Also, one time we couldn’t get a taxi, and Alex very kindly gave us a ride for free.

The saddest thing was the beach—it was full of garbage. I think this is a seasonal issue and the hotel cannot do much about it, but since the beach is quite small, I believe something could be done. Other beaches along the coastline had the same problem. Another issue was that the food in the restaurant was more expensive than in other places, so we had to take a Grab for every meal. In general, the place is not within walking distance of other areas, so you need to rent a scooter or take a taxi. Also, the breakfast was very similar every day (mostly eggs, and sometimes there was an option for pho, but not every day).

Personnel adorable, calme, joli spot

I wouldn’t go back.

Rubbish and plastic on the grounds. Expensive restaurant. Room stank of air freshers. Six in one room. We couldn’t sleep because of the smell and headache from the air fresher; we had to move them all.

A very quiet and serene side of Phu Quoc. Cozy small aircond bungalow unit best for relaxation in a jungle environment just next to the sea. Rocky seaside not for swimming but perfect for self reflection and getting the mind calm and clear. Friendly playful dogs greet you and walk with you to seaside. Breakfast included and more variety as the day goes. Our third day were served very delicious big portion of Vietnamese beef noodles. Coffee was good. The hosts, Nigel and wife together with all staffs are most friendly and helpful. If you want a no fuss quiet stay away from the touristic part of Phu Quoc, this is the right place.

Lunch and dinner menu could be better with more selections. We enjoyed the seafood salad very much with not much other choices.

Breakfast consisted of only two options. Very small portions. Generally unsatisfactory.

Area in and around the shore was strewn with trash and miscellaneous junk. Bed had only a very thin and extremely uncomfortable mattress. Restaurant and other buildings appeared to be abandoned and in disrepair.

Brzeg morza obok ośrodka jest pokryty głazami i wielkimi kamieniami i jedno takie miejsce zostało doskonale zagospodarowane do stworzenia tarasu, gdzie można zaznać relaksu i wyluzowania ;) .

We had the nicest time at An Yen! The people (and the dogs) were the friendliest and warmest. They rent motorbikes and help you with anything you need. Resort is situated a bit away from main road but if you want peace, a nice place to stay, enjoy nature and can ride motorbike then this place is for you ☺️

Suosittelen.

Jednoducho skvelé, krásna lokalita, cistucko a ochotný a milý personál.

Being there is just like being on a vacation inside the vacation. The atmosphere is really chill and the family who runs the business and their helpers treat guests like their friends :) we felt so welcomed and enjoyed the property itself, the view and how close the Khem beach and nice local restaurants are.

We absolutely love dogs, but for those who are afraid of dogs, there are quite a few at the property. Friendly dogs thought

Peace and quiet

Vietnam main issue rubbish in sea

This eco resort is awesome if you're looking for some peace and quiet. It's at the end of a road on a property that overlooks the ocean. The views are incredible! 🤩 The bungalows are big and mine was very clean.

The bed mattress was really hard. The property can be a little tricky to find, especially at night, due to it's more remote location and gate to keep out non guests.

Riêng tư yên tĩnh cạnh biển

Đồ ăn đắt, phòng hơi chưa đc chăm chút

Chambre propre

Photos non contractuelles, bungalow correct, infrastructures à l'abandon.

What makes this place so special are the people and the nature. We arrived here from Ho Chi Minh City, which was very busy and bustling. This accommodation is family-run, located in the middle of nature, right by the sea, with beautiful views. There is also a small beach. But if you want to go further and explore the island, it is good to do it by scooter. You can rent a scooter through the accommodation. There is also a small bar where you can eat and drink. The food is simple, fresh and local. Everything is very tasty. I really liked the fresh juices and fruits. The hosts help you with everything and give valuable advice. It was nice to talk to them about local life. And of course we will not forget the gift that the hosts gave us. They made us feel like we were very special guests. It was very touching and lovely. All of this made our stay here a very special experience. I recommend this place if you are looking for peace and quiet, close to nature, friendly and helpful people. If you value the sterility, comfort and anonymity of large hotels, then rather do not choose this place. In this accommodation you will hear birds singing, the sound of the sea and wind, the motor of fishing boats on the sea. It was very relaxing for me. And another advantage is that you can communicate with your hosts in English, so you will understand local life better.

Un paradiso accanto al mare

We like that it has a small private beach, tables and chair to chill, with a coconut by the water, very relaxing and peaceful. The staff is friendly and hospitable. The rooms are clean and have most of the necessary facilities.

We have the privacy but it is a far from the main town. The facilities needs more maintainance like the hot water takes long time. Breakfast is very simple.

Everything was fantastic from arrival to leaving, the team are attentive, fun and caring. The location and setting is spectacular with what feels like a private beach. We travelled with our dog and she was cared for and loved exploring the grounds.

This is a forgotten paradise! We felt amazing here, which is mainly thanks to the wonderful owner Alex and his girlfriend. They will do everything for you, as far as they can see, and often before you even think about it. There is not much reason to live on the west side of the island, when a taxi can take you there at any time for $10 and you can wake up in such an amazing and authentic place. We keep our fingers crossed for you Alex and thank you from the whole family!

We had the most chill stay at Alex's place from our whole 1 month trip through Vietnam! He is a one of a kind host, helped us with literally everything that needed organizing, providing us with tours away from huge touristy boats with people he knows in a small group setting. He picked us up from the ferry, offered to be our driver for the 5 days we stayed but we rented two scooters and explored the island ourselves :) If you can take the boat tour with snorkeling, I highly would recommend it, it is worth every penny and you get ridiculously delicious food for lunch with fresh caught fish and seafood. Definitely would recommend you stay there, away from the huge resorts being built!

We unfortunately went in the high season where the east side of the island gets very rough and a lot of trash gets washed up on the beach by the resort, but you can reach a lot of beautiful beaches on the west side easily. Alex and his team are doing everything to keep the beach as clean as possible though.

It had the most amazing view on the whole of the island. Eco Resort The best of both worlds Nature and sea. Perfect for complete relaxation So serene . Never got too busy . Run by a small family Alex and his brother with a handful of staff. The staff bent over backwards for you. The bar provided music and drinks. Water provided every day and room cleaned every 2 days or upon request. Everyone who managed to find this place would say WOW! Look at that view! It’s also 5 mins from Sao Beach ( fabulous!) and Alex will drop and pick you up, no bother at all. What should’ve been 3 days lasted 9! Perfect for my meditating I’ll miss this place without question.

Absolutely nothing , a fridge would have been handy in the room but chilled drinks were available at the bar and brought to your room if needed .

Stunning staff. Very friendly, very caring.

Need urgently renovation. It can become a great location again.

It’s private and remote. It does need a lot of work but the manager was honest and great

It needs some TLC

Location, Friendly staff and manager.

Breakfast, but no complaints with what was served.

The first thing you learn about An Yen, is that the people make the place. And example of service was being picked up by Alex. And Ten relaxing atmosphere, middle of nowhere, kick your shoes off kind of place allows you to find yourself. The people there will talk to you if you do wish, if not you are left in peace. There is the daily breakfast routine, at a time when you are ready for it. There is a bar, beaches and sun. Just ease in and relax.

The one annoying thing is the trash that comes from the mainland. The sea throws out what people put in it. Unfortunately it's impossible to get it all picked up. They try, but it is with work of a Sisyohus.

Fantastic staff. Fantastic location. Great food. Reasonable prices. Lovely room. Warm friendly resort. RECOMMENDED. ALEX the owner went above and beyond service.

Need more comfortable seating. Softer bed mattress topper.

Very nice and clean apartment, with sunny terrace, where you can enjoy meals, cofee, or just relax on a bedchair .Our appartment was in a beautiful yard, surrounded by nature. Alex, the host and his staff are very helpfull, always very positive and always ready to meet our needs. Eg. to provide a scooter for rent, pick up from airport or drop you anywhere you wish to go. Sao Beach is only 5 mins away. If you wish to avoid staying in local "Disney land" (sunset town with fake mediterrean copies), this is the place to stay. Having a scooter gives you freedom to explore various places on the island. (eg. a nice pagoda, pearl farm, sunset town, waterfalls, long beach, laundry place, restaurants etc ), all in close proximity from this place. Great food & drinks provided directly at the place too. Our stay was simply superb.

Property was clean, outside the noise of the city center, and well located to reach Sao Beach. Alex has been a fantastic host and he’s always been there for any request at literally any time of the day, making us feel more than welcome in his little paradise!

I’m so happy I picked this place for my New Year getaway. The hosts are awesome—super helpful with anything you need. The bungalows are cozy, and the scenery is just stunning. It’s really peaceful and private. Breakfast is simple but good, and for lunch or dinner, you can enjoy some amazing seafood.

Close to the Sao Beach, Alex the host was soo nice and helpful with both food and tool us to the beach and the market!

Located out in the forest, close to the sea but can’t use the sea thus the are a LOT oh trash on the beach.

The property is stunning and incredibly peaceful. The road leading to it is in good condition. Our host, Alex, was exceptionally helpful, assisting us with arranging a bike, taxi, and ferry tickets. He speaks excellent English. This location is very remote and serene. However, please note that there is no swimming pool, and beach access is not available. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

The water pressure in the shower was low. A small fridge would have been an added advantage.
