Sky Saffron 3 Beds Kk city centre

This is not a hotel, owner rents few apartments at the 7th floor of tall residential building. Still, the apartment was small (room with kitchen annex) but well organized and convenient, quiet, A/C and WiFi OK. There is a big shopping mall with food court in the walking distance, but apart from that, not much around, one needs a taxi to city center.

It is not easy to find it and get in! There are no signs whatsoever (building is large and have several entrances), unless you spot small marks on the mailbox next to proper entrance. We got a key from this mailbox, but code to it was not sent in advance, so one needs internet access to contact owner waiting at the entrance. For some reasons, even GSM signal there was very weak and our e-SIM internet was hardly working, so it took ages. Other thing, kitchen cooking facilities and dishes are microscopic in size.

Parking problem

Das Apartment ist super. Das Zimmer ist sehr groß und man hat alles was man benötigt von Wasserkocher bis Kochfeld und allem was dazu gehört. Das Personal ist auch super nett und hat sich um alles gekümmert und einem auch sehr gute Tipps für die Umgebung und die Weiterreise geben.

Leider ist das Wifi nicht wirklich gut, aber ausreichend für die wichtigsten Dinge. Die Lage ist auch etwas außerhalb und leider gibt es außer einen kleinen Supermarkt im Erdgeschoss auch keine anderen Märkte in der Umgebung.

Very nice owner who helped us get settled into our room. We got a lot of complimentary snacks and he was on standby our whole stay for questions. We liked the swimming pool.

Room quite good for the price.😁 Best experience. Room provided follow photo upload by owner. Owner also provide car rental with good price if wanted to use. Utensils for cooking is included if suddenly hungry at night😂. Easy to access. Air conditioner is super cold. Bed is super comfy and quite area.

Exceptional host, booking is full of glitches and double booked me, to the mercy of this host he allowed me to make up for the day so I didn't lose money. Our favorite place in KK, good location, decent kitchen utensils to cook basic food, comfortable room.

The room was super cozy,very comfortable bed & clean, have 24hour store, price was so affordable & the owner was very responsive when texted. the only minor issue is about parking area as there is no assigned park for our car but we managed to parked outside the hotel area near the roadside but not really recommended because dangerous to other passing cars but since were unable to use our ATM which is not Paywave-able, so we forcefully have to park on the roadside with other M-sians cars, you can use the underground park that cost RM4 per entry (using your ATM card must be able to be use the Paywave )but once the date changes to the next day, the price also changes to RM4+RM4= RM8. thats what happen to us. there is s free parking area infront of the lobby for hotel user but its always full.

The host was very kind and accommodating. When I messaged about possibly extending our stay, he set the room aside for us so that we had the option to if needed. His wife came over with fresh towels, snacks, and a sweet get-well gift for our daughter. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Room was big with lots of bed space to spread out on. The gym and pool were an extra bonus though we didn't use as much as initially planned. The location is great. If you don't mind longer walks, it's centrally located and you can get most places of interest.

I think a small area guide would be great. Soemtbign with nearest grocery stores (like the one in the basement of the Imago mall), places to eat (like Sri Latha Curry House, Guilt Free Society, El Centro, and Woo), etc. *also extra garbage bags would be good But other than these minor things, great place to stay.

Not enough free parking. RM4 promotional parking valid from 12AM-11:59PM. If park before 12:00AM get charge double. Ticket parking are nightmare. RM5 per entry. plus every hour.

On a positive note, the staff I communicated with via WhatsApp were friendly and apologized for these issues.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the toilet during my stay. When I lifted the seat cover, I noticed a significant amount of wet urine on the seat, which was quite unpleasant. Additionally, I expected a white linen sheet to be provided, as is standard in most accommodations. Instead, only a thick blanket was available, which appeared to have not been washed in quite some time. As a result, we had to use towels for covering.

Very comfy stay, easy check-in the PIC was really helpful and accommodating. The location is close to KK Town, Kkia, tg aru and imago. The room is fully equipped with all basic amenities with extra pillows. Really recommended!

The host treated us with warm hospitality and made us feel like home. A quiet and serene ambience in the middle of Kota Kinabalu.

Close to the city centre

The facility is really poor, TV not working the whole stay and nothing been done with the situation and on my last day of stay then they want to move to a new room which already too late, Toilet is very dirty and not properly clean, bidet is leaking and one of the person who I contact with is rude and the person who manage the place did not know how to manage and it's just not professional. Not coming in again.

The service itself was really worth 5 stars rate, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful as we first time book this hotel. The room was very tidy and cozy. All the property were complete and working fine.
