From the moment we entered the villa my friends and I felt so welcomed. The staff was super friendly and the rooms are just perfect. Couldn’t be any better. The room price includes breakfast. And the breakfast was also really good. Nothing bad to say about The Jam House.

Room was very spacious, interiors were beautiful and the balcony was cherry on the top. Bed was really comfortable. They cleaned the room daily. The best thing about our stay was the breakfast, it was really delicious. Pool was also clean and well maintained

Service can be a bit better. Had to go down to reception for water. Location is great with cafes nearby but the main road is not easy to walk

Expensive drinks. 1500 lkr for lime soda when it costs 850 lkr next door at samba. Staff refused to serve coffee after 3 pm saying kitchen is shut. Serving coffee isn't exactly kitchen work.

The room was extremely comfortable and modern. The breakfast was very nice and staff were helpful. I definitely recommend to stay here! Definitely one of the nicer hotels we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip.

The hotel was perfect, we only stayed on night but it was exactly what we wanted. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous interiors and extremely comfortable beds. The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful in guiding us on where to go. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at The Jam House. All the staff were super friendly and helpful the whole time. Location is fab as it is just a short 10-15 minute walk into the main town of Ahangama, but it is nice to be a little bit out of the busy part of town. The hotel is set back from the road so it isn’t noisy from the buses & tuk tuks. Would really recommend and would stay again if I visit Ahangama. We were a group of 5 who were spending the week surfing, Pilates & chilling. It was the perfect base for us to do all of those things.

Let's just say the photographer did a great job. Because the reality did not match up to the photos. Floor was extremely sticky and dirty. You can definitely get better rooms out there for the same price. It felt like a hostel and definitely not worth the price. Breakfast wasn't great, the food that was served did not match what was listed on the menu.

What a great hotel! The room was big and the balcony was a perfect bonus. The SPA in the 3rd floor is the best I ever tried. There are cozy cafe for food across the road (ex Hakuna Matata). The staff were super friendly and everything was clean and professional. Highly reccomended!

Our stay at The Jam House Ahangama was absolutely beautiful. The property has a calm, boutique vibe, and the staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel very comfortable throughout. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well maintained, and the pool area was perfect for relaxing. We had a partial beach view which added to the overall experience. The location is great walking distance from Hidden Beach and about 10 minutes from the main beach, with easy access via tuk-tuks or scooter rentals. Despite being close to everything, it’s peaceful and quiet, making it ideal for a relaxing stay. Would also highly recommend the spa it was excellent. Overall, a great place to stay in Ahangama and we would definitely visit again.

We had a fantastic 6 night stay at The Jam House. The rooms were incredibly spacious with a lovely balcony - and they were cleaned to a very high standard with modern finishes and everything you need. The location is perfect, with a 2-3min Tuk Tuk - which you can grab off the road - it was very easy to get into Ahangama, making trips out for lunch and dinner very very easy. But, most importantly the service is FANTASTIC. I believe the owner is called Mira and she made the stay perfect. Speaking to us everyday; giving advice on places to go and ensuring we always had enough drinks in the room. If you’re looking for a very affordable place that is high quality and well located - Jam House is perfect. If we ever come back to Sri Lanka - we will most certainly stay here again. Miriyam, the manager, was exceptionally friendly, and was attentive in having the drain blockage fixed promptly. Lahiru is a coffee connoisseur who made some of the best coffees we had while in Sri Lanka. All the other staff were helpful, friendly and overall, we had a pleasant stay.

We were unfortunately not all that impressed with the property. Despite the pictures online and reviews, we found a few issues, albeit small. Unlike everywhere else we stayed during our 12 days in Sri Lanka, we were not greeted with a welcome drink or coconut on arrival. The room was tired, with clear signs of wear, the bathroom even more so with mould, poor fixtures, and a blocked drain during our first shower. The location is okay but a good 10-15 minutes walk along the dangerous main road to Ahangama Town. On day 2 we requested a fruit plate with our usual breakfast choices only to be told sheepishly that only 1 item was allowed per person, and anything else would be charged extra; the staff had clearly been told to do this as it goes against the commonly generous Sri Lankan hospitality. It was the most expensive of our 4 accommodations at around £80 per night, costing more than our exceptional 5 star hotel in Colombo, and our beautiful home stay in the centre of Hirikiteya. We were left feeling like we considerably overpaid.

The room was so beautiful and the hotel is in a great location for town, either a walk or a short tuk tuk to the main restaurants / bars. The pool area is also a nice bonus.

As one of the more expensive places we had stayed, we were slightly disappointed by a couple of minor things. Firstly, the breakfast wasn't as good as we'd had in other places and the menu was quite inaccurate in places (especially the yogurt bowl). I also had an issue with a glass breaking and spilling all of the drink over me. We also unfortunately had an issue with our air con which meant the unit was very loud when it was on, meaning we struggled to sleep so had to turn it off. The laundry also took longer that I had initially been told, luckily I was staying in the area but otherwise this might have been a problem. Overall it was good I would just expect slightly better for the price tag.

Kahvaltı kesinlikle çeşitlendirilmeli yada kahvaltı menüsü biraz daha geniş olmalı. Konumu ahangama çarşıya biraz uzaktı. Havuzu daha erken saatlerde temizlenmeli ve gün içerisinde havuza düşen yaprak ve böcekler alınmalı.

We had a fabulous stay at Jam House- the property looked exactly like the photos, AC was divine, bed was super comfy and WiFi worked well in the rooms and in the downstairs working area. The pool was also lovely, and we enjoyed spending the afternoons lounging around that area, watching the monkeys and bird life in the garden. The staff went above and beyond at every opportunity to make you feel welcome, ensure you enjoyed your stay and help wherever they could. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast- it was À la Carte with both western and Sri Lankan options. Lastly, the location was good- across the road from Ahangama Beach (however it’s a little tricky to swim there) but is only a 5-10 min walk to secret beach which is lovely for swimming. The town is a bit away but there are many restaurants in 5-10 mins walking distance.

Staff were so helpful and helped us organize to get our laundry dry cleaned for us. The pool was a nice feature. Room was very spacious with a lovely balcony.

It was a bit far to walk into the town of ahangama especially located on a busy road.

I loved my stay at this place. Miriam was a great host, we had a room with a balcony, it was spacious and done up to a high standard. Breakfasts each morning well delicious and the staff helped arrange a boat tour for us which was great. The third floor is a spa which you get 20% off as a guest and they were amazing massages. I would recommend staying at this place and plan to come back again.

Kamer was heel ruim en mooi! Personeel was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Restaurant en zwembad zijn ideaal, locatie is top.

The room we had was very spacious with a nice balcony with a partial view of the sea. Everything in the bedroom was as shown in the images, so no complaints there. The person at the reception who checked us in, Miriam, was friendly and gave us all the information we needed. The hotel has two advantages - 1. Their breakfast is complementary and it was fantastic! Definitely try the Sri Lankan breakfast 2. There's also a spa on-site with a discount for in-house guests so it was was quite convenient for us The hotel is about 3-5 mins away from the main street of Ahangama so it's easily accessible but doesn't suffer from traffic or noise.

Amazing room with great size bed and very clean. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Breakfast was great with a perfect mix of western and traditional food. Having a nice pool to relax by really was the cherry on top! Would 100% recommend to stay here.

The location was great. Close to everything yet far enough away to be quiet. The room was lovely and the balcony private with a comfortable couch. The food was great and all the staff amazing. Such a bonus to have a wellness centre upstairs that you get discount too. Pictures on the website are accurate

Not particularly welcoming reception and no comments when we left …… Some noisy guests in hotel and 10pm quiet time not enforced. Breakfast was a bit mean, no juice or fruit plate included free as all other hotels (5) we stayed at in Sri Lanka.

The location was ok and the staff was really nice. The food was brilliant, kudos to the kitchen staff, they really did a job with the food. Would come back only for the restaurant and not for the stay. A special call out for Lakidu who works in the restaurant, he was so helpful and friendly and gave us really good recommendations.

The rooms were quite small, and in hindsight we may not have reviewed the property details carefully enough. Since we had booked a 3 night stay for our honeymoon, we were hoping to upgrade to a larger room and were happy to pay for it. However, we were informed that the property was fully occupied, which did not seem to be the case and felt disappointing considering we were on our honeymoon. Even though we mentioned it, the staff didn’t do anything to make us feel just a little special. Another disappointing aspect was the housekeeping. On the 2nd day, fresh towels were not provided, and the same towels from the previous day were simply rearranged. Additionally, no handwash was provided, and we were expected to use the shower gel for both purposes, which was quite surprising and not something we’ve experienced before. Overall, we were not satisfied with our stay, and it did not feel like it offered good value for money. We would maybe go for a different place to stay if we knew better.

A lovely stay in ahangama right on the beach, the bed was one of the most comfortable in our Sri Lanka trip. Nice view of the ocean/sunset from the balcony and a great place to meditate, the breakfast is delicious and the pool area is very calming. Lots of flowers and greenery around the property. We really loved our stay here. You have to book a massage when you’re here by far the best massage we have had anywhere in Sri Lanka and for great prices.

Ontbijt was pijnlijk om mee te maken. Ik kreeg 4 gepocheerde eieren die van binnen nog rauw waren, op avocado toast waar geen avocado te zien was.

Beautiful accommodation, top class roo.s and bed linen, such a relaxing, warm and welcoming place to stay. We had 4 nights here and nothing was too much trouble. Staff, bar and chef all excellent. Pool was a delight and access to stunning beaches, restaurants nearby and an easy distance to major towns in a tuk tuk

The attention to detail was immaculate. Miriam was just absolutely amazing. That leadership is what drives an entire workforce towards success. This was very evident in the service from Ashara to Lahiru to the entire staff who served us brilliantly. The amnesties were curated well and the pool was just awe. Accessibility to the beach was great and parking within the premises was ample. The FOOD, just wow!!

Everything was near perfect but if you’re forcing our hand, just make sure that complacency doesn’t creep in; for instance the boundary walls could do with a whiff of paint.

Great location just a short walk from the main town, far enough away to escape the hustle when things get busy. The pool is perfect for cooling off on a hot day and such a lovely spot to relax. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Jam House and was genuinely sad I did not stay longer. The room was spacious, beautifully styled, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Bonus points for the shower because the water pressure was next level. Miriam, the manager, and Arlene, the owner, are absolutely wonderful. Both were so welcoming, accommodating, and made the stay feel extra special. I highly recommend The Jam House and will definitely be back.

A little hidden gem in Ahangama The interiors are modern and thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind. The rooms are spotless, with huge balconies, and there’s a great variety of food options. Meryem is truly exceptional hands-on and available 24/7. We were a big group of 15, and she made sure every single one of us was well looked after. Highly recommended

- ontbijt is zeer lang wachten - koud water bij de douche savonds ontdekt, zou daags nadien voor opstaan zijn gemaakt maar dan ook weerom koud tot het werd gemaakt tegen de middag.

An amazing place! We had a large family trip and booked 7 rooms for 4 nights. All were stylish and immaculate. Everything you could wish for from the crisp cotton bedding to the powerful hot shower. Staff were so kind and nothing was too much trouble. Chef cooked delicious meals of such a high standard. Location great for the beaches and surf.

הכל פשוט מעולה קבלת פנים הכי מדהימה שיכלתי לקבל ! הגעתי ביומולדת שלי והחדר היה מסודר במיוחד לכבודי, הצוות כולו אדיב מחייך ועוזר בכל מה שצריך מרים דאגה לכל מה שהיה אפשר ותמיד הייתה שם אם הייתי צריכה משהו החדר גדול מרווח ונקי, האוכל טעים ממש ושוב הצוות פשוט מדהים !
