Coco Mount Residence - Hiriketiya

The room and facilities were good. Staff were lovely.

It’s a distance from Hiriketya beach. If you had a scooter or vehicle it would be good but without your own vehicle it’s challenging. Uber drivers etc struggled to find it. Also, there are works currently being carried out on the building so power drops in and out throughout the day.

Spacious bed and room. Easily a super king bed. Hosts were really kind and helped every time we need them.

Needed a 2nd pillow, but hosts provided it when we requested. :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the pleasure of staying at Mount Coco. and I can only say it was an exceptional experience! The family was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Every wish was anticipated, and the staff was always eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The room of the place is top-notch. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The location is in the nature on a small mountain with 10min walk to the beach, yet super quiet, allowing for relaxation after a long day. WIFI works perfectly fine! Overall, this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and can’t wait for my next visit! Thanks for everything. 🙏🏼

The room was very spacious and well-equiped. The surroundings are beautiful and the staff is very nice. I would definitely come back.

The room is very big and the host is nice.

The Party Jungle is right next door. It was very loud at night but we managed to sleep with earplugs. This is something we wish we had known before booking. The party was only on one of the two nights.

Would highly highly recommend this property! The host is so kind and welcoming, and so is his mother. We stayed 5 nights and it was the most spacious room we had in Sri Lanka! As we stayed 5 nights, the host kindly made us some pancakes one day and got us a pineapple another day - such a kind gesture. The property is in a brilliant location - about a 15 minute walk from the beach. The property is definitely sound proof! On Friday night, there’s a jungle party close by and we were worried it might be too loud. However, you couldn’t hear it at all in the room which was a good surprise!! The bed was comfy & the bathroom is lovely and one of the nicest we had in Sri Lanka. If I come back to Hiriketiya, I would definitely stay in this property again :)

The property is up a hill so if you would struggle with that, maybe not the right place for you (or you can just get a tuktuk up). This wasn’t an issue for us at all but may be for some people!

Great location, 10 minute walk from the main town so it is quiet but not too far. Great AC & WiFi, we were able to watch videos which isn't true of a lot of accomodation around SL. Friendly hosts, always happy to help

Be prepared for bugs - as with any tropical hotel!

The accommodation is very modern and has everything you need. Also the wifi is working extremely well!

Highly recommend this place if you come to Hiriketiya for multiple nights. Would also recommend hiring a motorbike since walking will be a bit too much unless your willing to walk 20 mins each day from the beach and back. The house is also quite steep uphill so a motorbike is ideal. The house is very spacious and clean, beds and pillows are comfortable, there’s aircon and a fan on the ceiling and you have your own small kitchen, the hosts are super welcoming and friendly, and the wifi is great. They’ve upgraded their wifi connection so previous reviews on bad wifi are not the case any more. They even have travel adapters in almost every plug which was very convenient. Also note that the property is relatively large so you can spot peacocks, monkeys, salamanders, etc. outside.

As with more properties in Sri lanka the bathroom has a lot of humidity which causes signs of mold on the ceiling. Hopefully they will find a way to take care of this in the future.

Very nice, clean and spacious stay in the lush jungle. The owners are extremely kind and helpful. The apartments are recently build and you really notice this, because the bathroom and bedroom are very modern. Recommended!

Wij hebben een fantastische tijd gehad bij Coco Mount Residence. De kamers zijn perfect: helemaal nieuw, ontzettend schoon en voorzien van een mooi keukentje. We kregen zelfs een rondleiding door de prachtige tuin, wat het verblijf extra bijzonder maakte. De familie is super lief en gastvrij – je voelt je direct welkom. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is uitstekend. Wij zouden dit verblijf dan ook sterk aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar comfort en een warme sfeer.

Very clean and modern, bed was very comfortable and the host were very kind. They let us leave our tuktuk and belongings there while we did yala safari day trip which was very helpful.

Exceptionally clean and modern apartment. Very nicely decorated and well maintained. Small kitchenette allows to prepare breakfast and coffee in house. Beautifully located on the small hill surrounded by palm trees which give an amazingly jungle vibe. Lovely family and very friendly family is taking care of the property.

A little bit more privacy would be much appreciated. Not a big deal but would help to feel more comfortable.

The apartments are new and very comfortably equipped. I especially appreciate a fridge and a small kitchenette. The place is surrounded by jungle, is very quite and you can watch monkeys playing around during the breakfast at the terrace of the appartment. At the same time it is within a walking distance to the beach and the restaurants. The best thing about this place are the hosts. The place is run by a local family. All of them are so kind, ready to help and willing to make you feel like at home. I highly recommend choosing this accommodation, you will have a great time!

Loved it! Very sad to leave! The WiFi was slow but functional - but the owner is upgrading it soon I think.

If you are looking for a gorgeous new and spacey room with a jungle feeling but still close to the beach, Coco mount is the place to stay! We had a wonderful stay and Vishea and the family are the most kind people we have met. We definitely recommend to book this homestay

Perfect accomodation! We really enjoyed our stay and the family is amazing, so friendly. They arranged a driver, they gave us breakfast etc. Appartment is clean and spacious, surrounded by nature and palm trees, and only a 2min walk from the main road. Definitely recommend to stay here.

The property was very new and very clean. The room is large and everything in the room works well. Nice to have hot water and AC. The family operating the residence was incredibly kind. Great location, and the home was built in a beautiful setting on a hill. I would go back in a heartbeat.

This property is fantastic - nothing negative to say about it at all. The WiFi was a bit inconsistent, but generally it worked well, and we were able to use a hotspot for very cheap when it didn’t.

The family is amazing. Everyone is very kind and helpful all the time. We really loved it. The room is more like a house! You have a kitchen, big bathroom and bedroom. Outside there is also a nice seating area. Best place to stay in Hiriketiya!

The place and the people are perfect. - All new, clean, and cozy. Only two spacious rooms on the territory, so you feel private. - Very quiet, although very close to Hiriketiya Beach. - The family is helpful at any time of day and night. They really saved my day (or even week) once. This will be my preferred destination when I'm coming back to Hiriketiya. Thank you!

The family is still learning to balance all-time helpfulness and the guest's privacy. But it's even nice. May be my problem. I'm a bit of an introvert with unfamiliar people)

the property is off the main road so avoids any traffic or noise which is great :) the room was so spacious, beds were super comfy and there was hot water which was an amazing touch !

Spacious clean room, comfortable king bed. Nice shower with hot water. The building is a newly built. The owners are really sweet and greet you with a king coconut. Views of palm trees, only one other unit so it feel really private. It is up on a hill but only a 5 minute walk to town.

Very nice place, walking distance from the center but also very quiet and in the nature. Location is a bit uphill but nothing serious, also if you take a bike it’s really not an issue The staff is very nice, they were very responsive to every request and made the effort to make us feel comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean, big, comfortable bed, AC and fan, Hot water in the shower

WiFi speed was low, ok for messaging but not much more. Some ants in the room but overall makes sense due to location in the nature.

Coco Mount Residence is a recently built accommodation, up to modern standards. The bathroom is beautifully finished. The room has airconditioning and is very spacious. It’s owned by a kind local family, who’s very enthusiastic about their new project. We wish them all the best!

We recommend having a scooter when you book the accommodation. Double check how to get there with the owners, since Google Maps is giving wrong directions.
