Dopo averci fatto 7 ore di macchina per arrivare in questa “struttura”, pensavamo di trovare un ambiente caldo e accogliente e invece, dopo 20 minuti, siamo dovuti scappare via dallo sporco che c’era. Abbiamo fatto un giro della casa per vedere se fosse tutto giusto e invece c’erano capelli sparsi su tutto il pavimento, cibo avanzato negli scaffali della cucina e in frigorifero. Il bagno era sporco e nella doccia c’era un bagnoschiuma. Nelle foto si vede benissimo il letto come lo “dovrebbero” fare e invece era completamente disfatto con le coperte appoggiate sopra. Nell’armadio c’erano degli asciugamani sporchi. Un’anta dell’armadio è staccata. Abbiamo trovato dei capelli nel portaposate…da vomitare… nonostante non ci fossero alberi nelle vicinanze, il tappetino di ingresso era pieno di foglie e capelli. Abbiamo provato a chiamare il proprietario 4/5 volte e non ci ha risposto. Su Booking risponde con messaggi pre impostati senza dare spiegazioni alle nostre domande…una vera schifezza di posto. Nelle recensioni dice che non ha il tempo per pulire, noi siamo arrivati di Domenica sera e il tempo da pulire ce lo doveva avere. NON PRENOTATE DA LORO!!! VE LO SCONSIGLIO. Nelle foto vedrete lo schifo. After driving seven hours to get to this "property," we expected to find a warm and welcoming environment, but after 20 minutes, we had to flee due to the filth. We took a tour of the house to make sure everything was in order, but instead, there were hairs all over the floor, and leftover food on the kitchen shelves and in the refrigerator. The bathroom was dirty, and there was a used shower gel in the shower. The photos clearly show the bed as it "should" be made, but instead it was completely unmade with blankets dropped over it. There were dirty towels in the closet. A closet door was broken. We found hair in the cutlery tray... disgusting!... despite there being no trees nearby, the doormat was full of leaves and hair.

Very nice small apartment near the city center in a really great price. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Easy access with code door. Great place to stay for a few days!

Just a very little minus, the main room roof lamp hangs too low for me. Hit it with my head a few times while getting up of sofa.

Avoir un appartement complet c'est pratique et il n'est pas loin du centre ville. La station de bus est proche. Le lit est confortable et le salon est agréable.

Aucune communication avec Per-Kristian une fois que nous sommes arrivés à Ålesund ! J'ai demandé quelques renseignements (notamment pour préciser l'adresse) sur la messagerie Booking et par Sms, aucune réponse. Heureusement l'adresse est bien marquée sur le site Booking. En fait tous les messages de Per-Kristian avaient été envoyés avant le séjour, ce doit être des messages automatiques avec des propositions de sorties payantes à Ålesund. J'avais alors posé une question sur les Spa, aucune réponse. En fait on parle dans le vide ou à un robot ? Ou juste à un commercial ? Nous avions plié son linge à la sortie de la machine à laver/sèche linge, aucun message non plus pour remercier. Il n'y a pas d'explication sur l''utilisation de la machine â café donc on n'a pas osé s'en servir.

Great coffee maker and the beds were comfortable. The place has potential.

The check-in time was too late and the recommended place to store the luggage didn’t work. We thought the kitchen was poorly equipped and maintained. The door to the bathroom was broken. We also found that the place had not been cleaned properly. The kitchen was grimy and the floors were dirty. The bathroom was also dirty. I honestly don’t think that your cleaner was there before we arrived.

Host was uncontactable.. Sent repeated messages to him regarding directions from the bus stop but never responded. Kept sending some other info which did not concern us. A very small bedroom. Towels and linen was dirty and very old. The whole place needs a lot of cleaning before it is let out. No manual provided for the appliances. Could not use the coffee machine.

Location close to the centre

The flat was not clean at all. It looked like the dirt was several weeks old. The bathroom could not be locked or even closed as the door was broken. I was asked to empty the washing machine and was asked to fold the laundry and put it in the closet. I received several standard emails with offers (excursions, concerts) to buy. All in all, the stay seemed to me as if the owner just wanted to make money and did little or nothing for the flat. The points were raised directly with the owner. Unfortunately, I did not receive any feedback or even an offer of goodwill. In my opinion, the flat is not worth the expensive rental price. I had booked the flat 6 months before travelling and therefore could not take the current reviews into account. There seems to be a certain stubbornness on the part of the owner. Points from current reviews do not appear to have improved, despite the owner's announcement.

Close, clean and comfortable

Kristian was great in communicating with us in the lead up to our visit, but we didn’t receive a response to any messages while we were there.

The apartment is very close to the city centre.

The apartment was small, dirty and hot. The real thing is nothing like the photos. Bedroom is tiny and full of dust, kitchen and bathroom are really dirty, I didn't even dare use the oven. Kitchen utensils are lacking or old (rusty even) and the pans need to be replaced because the non-stick layer is releasing. Wall sockets are not properly secured, looked like a fire hazard to me.

Nice location and above average large accomodation. The host sent us a lot of information about the city ahead of our arrival.

As the accomodation is located on street level, we could hear all the noise outside. Unfortunately our stay was on a Saturday, so the noise outside went on until the early hours.

Good size living room, good position.

At 10 pm there were no linen and no towels. The host did not answer his phone. On the app he answered after 40 min, that they are in the dryer (and the dryer was still running). So, at 11 pm we had to dig the Internet after the User Manual for that specific type of washing machine to find out what means the code on the display... Bathroom was not clean, a lot of dust and dirt behind the washer. Bedroom is very small, basically a big closet with the bed all over it.

When we arrived the bed linen and bath towels were in the washing machine, still wet and no program running, which is obviously a major inconvenience and definitely looks like cleaning was not finished in between guests. The bed mattress was also really dirty. Besides location, this was a bad experience.

When we entered the apartment, we were shocked by the horrible smell. In the bathroom, we realized that the smell was coming from there. The toilet was so dirty that we had to clean it ourselves. It seems like it hadn't been cleaned for several weeks. There was dust everywhere, the furniture and floor were dirty. Dried-out plants were still kept inside the apartment. The kitchen was also dirty, and dust was falling from the light fixture. The coffee machine didn’t work (it kept showing an error). All this dirt completely ruined our stay in the apartment and our trip overall. We wanted to relax, but it was impossible. If the apartment had been clean, I would have given it 10 points. This comment is specifically addressed to the owner: please pay attention to the terrible state of cleaning. Hire proper staff who can maintain cleanliness in the property."

The floor was quite dirty, you could see in the corners that it was not well cleaned.

spacious, cozy, comfortable ground level apartment, short walk towards the main bus station and tourist attraction, this was my last stop city in 13 days before heading home, i felt like i didnt want to go out anymore and just stay in the apartment. Try to download easypark app, street parking between 8am to 4pm, free after 4pm, i didnt have trouble finding parking, i even parked in front of the apartment : ). Thank you for hosting me. i had a great 3 day stay

Wifi password was wrong, host didn't respond to messages but did answer phone promptly and fix problem. Can't park very close to apartment.

Location is great. You can walk to city center. All facilities are in working condition.

The place needs deep cleaning once in a while. There was lot of dust below the bed.

The wood floor was filthy. Bathroom door wouldn't shut. Even though check in was so late in the day (5pm), we had several hours of listening to dishwasher and laundry machines running and couldn't get to items until they were done. Had to dig through laundry to find dish linens. Bath towels were folded on the floor next to the shower. Host ignored messages sent via booking.com ahead of stay regarding check-in. Due to below grade level, the windows were frosted for privacy, so no view outside.

The tiny bedroom with a window under the ceiling would have been practically the only drawback, but: upon arrival the apartment was the dirtiest I have ever seen, they didn’t even bother to wash the floors in the center of the living room, let alone the corners. But even that was not the worse thing. I had questions for the host. Since his check-in is at 5pm (!), I asked few days before our arrival, if we could store our suitcases at the apartment until 5pm or at least if he had an advise on another option, because it is an issue in Alesund there's no storage place neither at the airport, nor at the bus station. But he didn’t answer! Not on Booking.com,, not in WhatsApp, he only sent a standard greeting message with check-in details and a request not to turn off the washing machine while it was running on our arrival and even offered to take out and fold the laundry when the laundry was over, after...4 hours. He popped up only on the day we were leaving with written instructions for check-out and a question whether we were ready to leave early. Bottom line: dirty apartment without a host in beautiful Ålesund.

Nothing. WORST PLACE I EVER BOOKED!

Filthy place all over, bedroom is tiny, only a bed could fit in, you cant walk around the bed you need to walk on the bed to get to another side, bedlinen is dirty, like it was re-used from previous customers without a wash, hair and sand on the bed, i saw a signs of a rats in the property so wont be surprised as they have them there. More over, be ware of ALARM! Owner send a message that the alarm goes on occasionally but this is not true, it is constant! And what is more: his instructions how to switch it off totally LIE! He was saying there is a button you need to press, no buttons or switches there. I texted owner he did not reply, i contacted booking.com to contact the owner to get explanation how to deal with the alarm, he finally called and said that i need to SWITCH OFF ALL ELECTRICITY IN THE HOUSE to be able TO STOP THE ALARM!!!! Then he said „i provided the solution “ and hang up the phone! (I‘m leaving the image of the alarm, it is inside the cabinet in the kitchen as it would take a time to find it) BE WARE THIS PERSON is NOT GENUINE! He does not know how thighs work in the house, he has not even been in this house! He is not resolving any issues! I‘m not the first one who complained about him. He is not Norwegian, he just ripping off customers, knowing that booking.com will not intervene if host will refuse to refund. Just to repeat the main point: HE WILL NOT REFUND or RESOLVE ANY ISSUES! DON‘T BOOK IT!

A lovely comfortable apartment a short walk from the centre of Ålesund - and outstanding value for money. The apartment had everything I needed for my short stay (or for a longer stay) and Per-Kristian was a great host - very responsive to my queries and very accommodating. And there’s a good pizza restaurant just around the corner :-)

This property has great potential to be a lovely apartment and located not far from the centre of Alesund. However, the host's description of it is misleading and he really needs to employ new cleaners.

Unfortunately, we realised as soon as we entered the property that it was dirty. There was a thick layer of dust on all the furniture, the shower hadn't been cleaned properly, and the floors were filthy. The host had informed us that the washing machine might be running with previous guests' sheets and towels, which indeed it was. This is completely unprofessional. Accommodation laundry should be done off-site or at least finished and put away before new guests arrive. The mattress on the bed was awful as it is way too soft. The sheets, although thankfully clean, had clearly been put on after sitting in the dryer for a long time as they were unbelievably creased; this made the undersheet particularly uncomfortable to sleep on. The wardrobe in the bedroom is missing a door which is propped up against it. The fridge needed a thorough clean and the washing-up sponge was brown with grime. Yuck! There was a random assortment of mismatched crockery and the handwash by the sink was empty. The shower unit had been badly fitted so it stood proud of the wall by some margin and, when getting in or out of it, we had to negotiate past the washing machine. Also, the windows looked like they'd never been cleaned. This property needs a complete overhaul, a deep clean by professional cleaners, and continued cleaning by professionals thereafter.

The property was so filthy we didn’t stay. The bed had human hairs in it, the shower was dirty and had someone’s old soap bar in it and the dust in the living area was so thick I wrote my name in it. We are seeking a full refund.

The whole apartment is very clean, easy accessible and you feel like at home. Per-Kristian sends a very broad instruction on how to use house equipment and useful tips about what to do during your stay. A very pleasant addition - chocolates on your pillow - this was a very cheerful addition. Thank you!

Great location. Had everything we needed and more! Was great to have the washing machine to clean our clothes. And a full fridge to keep our food cold. It was so cute and cozy as well!

The bathroom could have been cleaner. And the upstairs neighbors were pretty loud.

My recent stay in Alesund was delightful, thanks to this charming apartment in a Norwegian-style cottage. The apartment was great and there was everything that we needed. The location was exceptional and those views!!! We absolutely loved it :)

Location was good as we did not have a car. Easy to find and open. Bed very comfortable and room warm.

Pics showed outlook on to street but windows frosted and unable to see out so you feel closed in. Both the dishwasher and the washing machine were full and would have to be emptied before using them. The host did say this might happen. General cleanliness was not up to standard - dirty,mouldy coffee grinds in machine and bloody tissues in the bathroom cupboard. Oven tray very dirty causing smoke when heated and hairs in kitchen draw.

Good location (basically in the city centre), but quiet, clean, responsive host who gave great recommendations about the city, all needed utensils and appliances there and functioning, great coffee in a coffee machine. Thanks for having us!

Nice stay. It was very warm despite the cold outside. Within walking distance of the city center, shops, cafes. Access by code, so a flight delayed by 3 hours was not a problem to get inside. It’s a pity that only instant coffee is available - we were never able to use the coffee machine.

If you are a hard mattress lover,this bed may be too soft for you

Great solution with door handle with code. Beautiful location of the apartment and closeness of main viewing point, as well as public garage and other paid parking. If you rent/have a car, ski resorts are pretty close.

The host was very responsive and helping, he gave us advice about the city and its locations and places to go. The location is really good - close to the main sights and the bus station. The flat is so well-equipped, especially the bathroom and the kitchen. There is a good TV with the Internet. The design is beatiful. Very convenient access to the flat - with the code, so you don't need to bother the host with check-in and to carry the keys with you.

This was a very last-minute booking as we had to change our travel plans unexpectedly. Per-Kristian was very responsive and helpful. We were luckily able to enter the property earlier than the stated check-in time as the weather was awful!! Access was easy, using a door code. The place is warm, centrally located, spacious and well-equipped. There was a small problem with the plumbing, which didn't bother us, but Per-Kristian immediately sent someone round to fix it and he also checked with us in person to ensure all was OK. We were very happy with this accommodation.

Charming and comfortable appartment, just 7 min walk from the main attractions

If you arrive by morning like i did, there is no place to put your luggage since its an appartment and the clients didnt checked out yet. The check-in as porposed is 17:00 and its very late. The owner let me check-in before, but the appartment was not cleaned until 15:30, and the woman who cleaned left the loudy washing machine turned on until 17:30

Excellent location near to station and ferries. Owner easy to communicate with prompt responses and extremely open to feedback which is really refreshing. Because of the location you felt like truly living as a local. Our Geiranger tour got last minute postponed and thankfully the owner was able to help us with an additional night so we stayed 3 nights.

We liked the location, having a washer/dryer, nice coffee maker and microwave, a roomy place to be, lots of light in the main room, having a kitchen though we didn't use it much. The apartment was clean. We appreciated the recommendations that were sent via booking message. The owner was pretty responsive when he was available to answer via booking. I think text would have been an easier way to communicate if necessary.

Mostly we didn't like the late check in time. Most places have a 3pm check in and this was at 5, with nowhere to leave our luggage so it was very inconvenient. The bedroom was tiny and the mattress was too soft for our comfort, but the bedding was nice. The heat was hard to regulate.

The location the facilities are good! You can find all the things you want in the house! For me I love the washing machine.

Comfy beds, large rooms, great shower, kitchen is over equipped. Did not expect so much for this price. Extremely recommended.

The check in time was a little late, but the owner had no issues allowing us in early, which is a huge plus. The rooms is on ground level, for this reason, i wished for some curtains, the shutters were not so helpful, we felt exposed at some times.

Location of the house is perfect. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful with everything related to check-in & out and the stay itself. The amenities, the appliances, perfect for a couple on a weekend getaway...
