Reviewed Jun 24, 2026My husband and I stayed the weekend for our babymoon and had a very relaxing stay. The location is great - less than a hour from Auckland and only a few minutes to Matakana village and Omaha beach. The villa is so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, kitted out with everything you need. The bed was so comfortable, which says a lot since I was 9 months pregnant at the time of our stay! A stunning getaway, truly reminiscent of a luxury villa in Bali.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2025This is quite honestly the best accommodation we have stayed at. 100% private, a little sanctuary. The decor is amazing and every room has been carefully put together. The bedroom is devine, the kitchen has everything you need and more. The complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely gesture. We will be back for sure!!

Reviewed Mar 27, 2024The bed was lovely, bath & shower off the bedroom excellent, and the pergola area very nice. The general feel to the place was clean and a good space to be in. Thanks also for the extra touch for our nuptials, that was very thoughtful. The things we didn't like were not big things but the difference between something being good and something being excellent.
Internet wasn't available on arrival, and it took a bit fiddling around by us which wasn't of any use, a few messages and a bit of time to remedy. Couldn't find the cutlery (a notice somewhere would have been helpful). The garden directly leading around the house was full of weeds (nightshade) and not a biggy but not expected for the kind of place we thought we were staying in. We couldn't easily find the place at night when we came home in a taxi, we got to the locked gates and had to back track, so a light at the end of the concrete driveway would have been helpful. People walked into the place while we were relaxing on Sunday. They were looking for an event. A sign at the end of the driveway stating "accommodation only" may work to stop this happening in future. These things made the stay less than excellent and they are small things that could be remedied easily, so I hope they are.

Also there was a complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge (this was offered due to it being my husbands birthday)and a couple of bottles of beer. A lovely fully set up kitchen.
