Reviewed Aug 5, 2026This is a wonderful place to stay for a weekend exploring the local area. It's super comfortable and very clean, and the setting is lovely. It's only a 5 min drive to Matakana so a great place to stay for a girls weekend away where you want to have some chill out time but also have some local shops to browse. We stayed here in winter and it's warm (has a heat pump) and the sun was streaming in through the afternoon so it was super cosy. Would be lovely in summer too with a nice outdoor area to sit and chill out in.
The only criticism (and this is really being super pedantic because the place was fabulous and I want to go back!) is that it could do with a mirror in the bedroom. The only mirror was in the bathroom so there was a bit more coordination needed for two women doing their hair and makeup in the morning!

Reviewed Nov 16, 2025This beautiful casita has a park like setting. It is so quiet and wonderful to wake up to the birdsongs. It’s a short drive to shops, restaurants, the Saturday market, national parks, the Sculptorium, Omaha beach, and great walking paths. The Mountain View’s were beautiful and owners are so nice and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025Amazing!! Felt so cozy and inviting from the moment we got there. The house is well equipped with everything we needed from the kitchen to the bathroom. The home was spotless! We could tell a lot of care had been put into the place. The host was super communicative and made things easy - even holding my bag that I’d forgotten and could only pick up a week later!
