The location is great - very quiet, close to the beach, natural surroundings. Love the hammock outside. If you have to be full-on hippie to truly appreciate this place.

I did not like the (western) owner whose room was pure filth for everyone to see and the way he had to rub it in that he was the owner of the place, although I believe he is not the only owner. He is a bad representation for any business; unclean, strange, braggy. The walls between rooms are straw, so you hear everything next door. The grass was mushy, like a swamp. Showers are salt water. People getting high and being noisy late into the night.

Homestay charmant, chambre dans une petite case avec grand lit, moustiquaire et ventilo+ Salle de bain partagée extérieure, mignonne, propre, pratique. Endroit calme, apaisant, good vibes Hôte accueillant et friendly+++ bon petit dej! à 15-20min à pied du port, 2 minutes à pied d'une très belle plage (avec tortues proches du bord visible avec lunette de plongée!!!!), resto sympa en bord de bord proche aussi (2-5min) on recommande+++++

Originální a relaxovaná hippie oáza v severní části Gilli Meno. Bambusové domečky uprostřed přírody mají základní,přesto praktické vybavení, nechybí místo na jógu a meditaci a houpací sítě. Majitel je velmi přátelský a pohodový. Místo člověka vede ke zklidnění a zpomalení. Kousek od ubytování je nádherná klidná pláž s malými restauracemi. V moři lze vidět želvy a korálový útes. Nádhera!

Sehr idyllisch angelegt- eine absolute Oase der Ruhe. Wer sich nicht an Gemeinschaftsdusche und -Klo stört findet hier Erholung pur. Nah am Strand, aber nicht so laut wie direkt am Strand…

Uncle hippie's dream is a project built by a Flemish guy with a local family in Gili Meno. You'll find a row of bungalows, a small yoga and meditation room, shared showers and toilets. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. You can have great chats with the host, there is breakfast and a laundry option. I loved the way the light comes in the bungalow in the morning. The beach is nearby and snorkeling is a dream here - there is a whole world under water and you can swim right next to sea turtles. You can reach the accommodation either fom the beach or through the village. It is a 20 minutes walk from the pier. I really enjoyed my stay here - thank you for everything!

It's a pity there is no wi-fi. I don't like places where people stare at their screens instead of talking to each other, but most people still need some kind of Internet when travelling abroad. There is little privacy in the bungalows and you basically hear everything your neighbours say and do.

Le charme et le côté chill du lieu. La proximité avec la plage. Le côté eco-lodge du bâtiment. Le petit déjeuner. La SDB, WC sont sympas. Je devais y dormir 1 nuit, j'en ai fait 2. Les hamacs à l'ombre des arbres aident à finir la nuit. Un ventilateur dans la chambre suffisant s'il y a de l'électricité.

Les chambres sont toutes contiguës et une structure en bambou/ feuilles de palme, ce qui rend la promiscuité, le bruit, les lumières entre voisins de chambre dérangeants : difficile de ne pas être réveillée dès que les premiers le sont. Le matelas par terre est mou et fait mal au dos. La moustiquaire était très vieille et rappiécée (à changer). Il n'y a pas de back-up en eau (en cas de coupure d'électricité, ce qui est arrivé ), ce que j'ai suggéré au propriétaire pour avoir de quoi tirer la chasse d'eau des WC et des " bucket shower" ( juste un tank d'eau fermé). Le rapport qualité-prix est un peu exagéré pour la structure des chambres. Cela vaut plus 200000/ nuit que 350000.

Està al costat de la platja i l'ambient és molt tranquil. Allotjament amb poques habitacions.

Recordar que les parets eren de bambú i se sent tot.

La location è stile campeggio, tutta in bambù. La posizione è ottima, a pochi minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia. Lo staff molto gentile, Yuri fantastico nella accoglienza e disponibilità, flessibilità negli orari di check- in. Abbiamo trovato anche i bagni quasi sempre puliti e con carta igienica a disposizione. Nei locali più vicini si trova anche quasi tutte le sere musica dal vivo. La colazione nella media. La cosa che ho apprezzato di più è l'idea di sostenibilità che sta dietro al progetto. Il fatto di alloggiare a Gili Meno portando il minor impatto ambientale possibile. Questo è di gran valore.

Purtroppo ci è capitato più volte di dover attendere alcuni minuti per avere l'acqua corrente (non dolce). La camera era provvista di zanzariera e prese della corrente, oltre che ventilatore di cui però non abbiamo avuto bisogno. Peccato per lo spazio, perché abbiamo dovuto lasciare i bagagli fuori dalla porta. Struttura non provvista si wifi.

Super déco babacool ...en pleine nature et juste à côté de la plage ... l'hôte est très gentil et très "no stress"...parfait pour se detendre ...les bungalows sont top...le lit est confort également et le petit dej plutôt cool je recommande vivement

A mere perfect location right next to the beach where you’ll find lots of turtles 🐢 🌞 The garden is cute and comfy (big fan of the yoga shala) and the rooms are cozy. The bathrooms are very clean and the personal friendly ☺️ Also enjoyed the breakfast in the garden 🪴 Can only recommend ✨

I liked the room, it's cosy and has a comfortable bed. The place has a very nice atmosphere, a bit magical! He is creating a special place of peace! Wish you the best of luck with it!

There were no breakfast options or yoga classes which was stated as being included and there wasn’t a refillable drinking water tap which would have been very useful to have

Wow I loved uncle hippies! What a special place! I spend 1 week here and I had an amazing time. If you want to relax and just “be” it’s wonderful. The energy of this place is amazing and everyone is very helpful and kind. There’s a warung on site for breakfast and the laundry service was amazing too. The bungalows are simple and made of bamboo, you will have a mosquito net to protect you from the animals. The shared showers and toilets are super clean. The location is good also, very peaceful and yet close to the beach and Gili Meno has something special!

Keep in mind that it’s a place in the garden, there are going to be mosquitos in rainy season and if it rained there will be some wet spots in the garden.

A little paradise in which you can feel in peace, connected to nature and surrounded by amazing people!

Great little place, staff friendly and welcoming. Chill ambiance Clean and confortable It's on an island and for cheap prices don't expect sweet and hot water You still have the necessary and + (electricity, fan, mosquito net, nice mattress) get a mosquito spray 😅

The location is perfect for turtle heaven, bars, restaurants- Sophies warung is excellent food!!! I loved everything about Uncle Hippies. It's exactly what it says it is and intends to be. A calm, easy going, place to sleep, yoga in the shala, no wifi and for a fantastic price. I will be staying again.

The Cockerells can be pretty loud but that can't be helped so I just embraced it and thanked them for getting me to start my day early!!!!!

Bungalow and bed was clean. The owner (?) was very nice and even followed me after I had left to bring me my forgotten headphones.

I can't recommend it to women travelling on their own. Outside the premises it's entirely dark and lonely at night. And I couldn't lock my bungalow at night.

Uncle hippie is a small piece of heaven on earth. It is exactly how it looks on the pictures: don't come here expecting big luxuries, instead, take this time to reconnect with basic on its bamboo cozy cabins. The best nights of sleep in my 2 months travel in Indonesia, with the birds singing in the morning and the natural ventilation. Great snorkel, beach and restaurants super close. The owner is the most chill person in Gili meno, and will help in every possible thing to make your stay just perfect. Keep in mind that is about 25 minutes away walking from the harbor, but with the best views 😉

Excellent location for snorkeling, literally just 100 mts away from turtle paradise, the room was super comfortable and the facilities were tidy and clean all the time, it has some amazing indoor/outdoor showers, the host is super friendly, helpful and he’s really there for anything you need, We really enjoyed our stay here, it was super relaxing and we loved the vibe of the place, we definitely recommend it

Great for travellers who want a cheap place to stay for a night. It was very basic, but did have everything we needed. If its going to rain or be very hot, it may be hard to sleep as there is only a fan in the room. If you are a light sleeper, this also may not be best for you. Very chill, nice to be away from the big resorts.

Great Place to stay at in Gili Meno! I loved everything about it, the small bamboo bungalow, the shower with views of the trees, the yoga shala available for everyone and the proximity to the beach. Yuri is an amazing host and will be there for any request you have. You can definitely see the love he puts in his place. Thanks again for everything:)

This was a gem of a find if you don't mind basic accommodation, beautiful garden setting with chill areas and yoga pagoda, super clean and amazing indoor outdoor showers. Location perfect just down a path from the beach, with some nice restaurants a short walk away. Owner very friendly.

Beautiful laid back place to reconnect with nature and yourself. Simple yet so beautiful decorated place, lush green surrounding that cools down the place naturally! Super nice and chilled host, we are definitely coming back!!

Some places really do leave an imprint on your Soul, and Uncle Hippie's is one of them. Because the place has been built with so much care, love and a truly collaborative approach between local and foreign investment .... there is an accompanying feeling that you get when you arrive. Yuri is a lovely legend, chill vibes all round. The place is petite and the rooms are small but have everything you need. Love the bamboo structures. It's close to amazing snorkelling (turtles!) and eateries .... the island is tiny so you can walk / cycle everywhere. I hope to return x

Very nice bathroom facilities. Comfy mattress. I slept really well here. Room was already prepared when I arrived in the morning, which was great.

I got the feeling the owner doesn't care so much about his guests and didn't engage with them. He just lay in a hammock. A shame. Also, there was no water refill. This is only place I have stayed where you can't fill up your water bottle and donate some money. The place needs a bit more work.

A proper little hippie retreat, with a yoga hut. It was very close to the beach, at the quieter north end of the island. Sitting at the beach, a few times I saw turtles just a few metres out from the shore. The owner is very friendly and chatty.

Not really a complaint, but the rooms are bamboo and just bigger than a mattress. There's a mosquito net, fan, and electricity. Be prepared for how simple the accommodation is - I loved it and only came back to sleep at night.

Cozy and spacious accommodation immersed in nature with a beautiful garden, cute little details and cozy beds. The host is a very welcoming and heartwarming person. The place in the north is perfectly located only a few meters from the beach, where you can enjoy snorkelling and beautiful sunsets. I enjoyed my time and stayed longer than originally planned! ✨

The bathrooms are really nice, semi outdoors and cool design. Everything is kept super clean. Lots of wildlife around, frogs, toads, even one of Komodos cousins lives nearby. Uncle Hippie has a cool vision for the property, its only been open since March (i think) and we'd be keen to return in the future. Thanks heaps :)

The rooms were quite small for 2 people, good size for one. Nothing super bad, just a few suggestions. The paths were a little muddy, could be useful to have some stepping stones laid down. Few cobwebs in the room too.

It was very great experience. It is close to beach, the accomadation is superb plus the guy who is taking care of you while staying is realy chilled out and helpfull. Fully recomending.

The host Yuri(spelling?) was awesome. The man was so friendly, kind, peaceful and such a vibe. The place has all your basic amenities and is super close to the water. This was our favorite stay out of 4 places during our Bali/gili trip. P.S. Take a cold shower and put the fan close to the ground if it's too hot...

Very close to the beach which is perfect for snorkling. White beaches, blue sea and good vibes. What more can you wish for.

The place is supersweet, a beautiful garden where you can hang out and relax, everything feels very natural and you can come to a rest. There is a fireplace for people to jamming songs and a space to do some yoga. So close to the beach, it is like you can go snorkeling in your backyard. There are some cool bars and live music spots on the island where you can drink a sunset cocktail. All the islanders are so friendly! You can feel the positive vibes all around the place! Also good that you have natural breeze in the room with a ventilator.

It are shared bathrooms. But they keep it clean and the style is creative and beautiful.

I stayed for a little more than a week and it was the most amazing island experience I could ever imagine! The vibes were incredible, the host was the absolute chillest and nicest person on the planet and he helped with every question I had bringing me into local life, enjoying the gifts of Gili Meno. The bungalows were spacious, the bathroom is artistic and I enjoyed peace and quiet on the property but also went out to busier parts of the island in the evenings. Snorkel spots are also top notch!

There were some mosquitoes, but the bungalows are equipped with really nice mosquito nets, so it was not much of a problem.
