Ich bin als alleinreisende Mutter mit zwei Kindern aus Deutschland unterwegs und habe die Villa Viva während unserer Südafrika-Reise spontan immer wieder gebucht – als Ankunftsunterkunft, zwischendurch und auch am Ende unserer Reise. Das allein sagt eigentlich schon alles! 😊 Wir haben jeweils das Loft mit drei Betten und eigenem Badezimmer gebucht und uns dort sehr wohl und vor allem sicher gefühlt. Auch unser Mietwagen war auf dem Parkplatz sicher untergebracht. Das gesamte Personal war super freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Handtücher, Bettwäsche und alles Wichtige sind vorhanden, was die Unterkunft gerade auf einer Rundreise sehr praktisch macht. Besonders hilfreich fanden wir auch den Kofferraum/Stauraum, in dem wir unser Gepäck gut unterbringen konnten. Die Atmosphäre dort ist super, und das Haus gestalterisch sehr kreativ und vielfältig. Die Lage ist für Kapstadt wirklich top: ca. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto zur Table Mountain Cableway ca. 10 Minuten zur V&A Waterfront ca. 7 Minuten zu den Twelve Apostles und nach Clifton Beach Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hervorragend. Wir haben die Unterkunft sogar Freunden empfohlen, die sie daraufhin ebenfalls direkt gebucht haben. 😊 Für uns war Villa Viva die perfekte Kombination aus guter Lage, Sicherheit, unkompliziertem Aufenthalt, freundlichem Service und fairem Preis. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Wir hatten einen Zusatzraum (Doppelbett) gebucht. Wie in Südafrika oft üblich, hatte der Raum etwas mit Feuchtigkeit zu kämpfen.

The staff were friendly

There was no fridge in the room..atleast to keep some water cold. Breakfast starts at half past 7. It was 7h45 when we joined for breakfast, and there was already almost nothing on the tables. I did not like the fact that there was no coffee with breakfast. Coffee is an additional cost.

Um dos melhores hosteis que já fiquei, extremamente limpo, agradável, bem localizado e enorme.

Café da manhã é bem fraco e sem muitas opções e sempre o mesmo todos os dias. Não vá confiando que vai ser incrível ou parecido com o que temos por aqui ou em outros hosteis que oferecem fartura e opções.

The breakfast was good, with variety of food to choose from. But i would like to request from the admin to add some smoked meat, e.g. Russians, viennas or sausages. Also a request for fried eggs from the counter. Location was exellent, close to the all the places i want to go to, thanks. Rooms were clean.

Inside my locker,there were no hangers for coats.Please help on that,and maybe change sheets if i stay for long.

When I booked with through BOOKING .COM it showed me a blue colour double room but I went to the premises I was been given a small single room without ac & heater which further I have to pay extra & upgrade it as per my preference & after that also many time I asked for the an upgrade with the attached bathroom & every time the request was denied saying that the rooms are occupied

朝食が美味しかった。 ホットシャワーも水圧バッチリで、共用スペースも広く、居心地が良かった。 一応テーブルマウンテンが見えます。 スーパーも徒歩圏内にあります。 まだ治安がいい（と個人的には思ってる）kroof streetに近い。

kroof streetまで徒歩１分とかだが、そこに行くまでは若干暗い。

L'ostello è in una posizione eccellente, in un bel quartiere, vicino a tutti i servizi ma lontano il giusto dalle vie più rumorose. La struttura è pulita, accogliente e il personale disponibile. C'è anche una piscina e si organizzano anche eventi.

Estuve a mediados de agosto y hacía mucho frío. Es un alojamiento muy abierto con muchas zonas exteriores. Para el invierno no está acondicionado

Good hostel to meet people.

We hadden een tweepersoonsbed, er was een grote kuil in het midden. Dit lag niet lekker aangezien het ‘s nachts ook heel warm was.

My stay at this Hostel was wonderful. They have beds with curtains to provide additional privacy in a dorm, bed side lamp charging points, which was really thoughtful. They also provide free breakfast, the spread was sufficient to fill your appetite (Juice, fruits, coffee, tea, cornflakes, yogurt, milk, different kinds of spreads and bread, Boiled eggs and veggies). I was happy to see the spread because I am a vegetarian. The best part was that I felt safe as I was traveling alone. Met people from different countries. Also attended free live music at the hostel with complementary snacks. So overall it was wonderful. Location was awesome, it's in the middle of the city which is considered as safe. restaurants, cafe, checkers, spar were all nearby within the 200 to 500 m radius.

The wooden flooring in the dorm makes sound when someone moves, it's irritating at night during sleep.

Everything , the cleanliness, the staff, the outdoor space, the breakfast and the sweet dog. It’s literally a home away from home, no unnecessary rules , there’s a kitchen if u want to cook and prepare your meals , nice swimming pool , a lot of shower options , the WiFi is great … Amazing place

Boa localização. Tenho costume de andar e fiz praticamente tudo a pé. O café da manhã era bom. Gostei da equipe do café. O quarto era bom. Fiquei no de 4 camas. Faz um pouco de barulho da rua, mas nada que atrapalhe o sono. Os banheiros são grandes e com ducha quente, bem agradável.

Não gostei muito da recepção. Os funcionários não são muito agradáveis e receptivos. Relatei um problema policial que tive e não me deram as informações corretas e nem tentaram ajudar. Somente no último dia que a pessoa da recepção foi gentil e se dispôs a fazer contatos e tentar resolver o problema. Acredito que seria interessante alguma pessoa que fale espanhol para facilitar o diálogo. Cheguei um dia frio e não havia entendido que tinha senha para abrir o portão e não havia ninguém na recepção. O rapaz da portaria perguntou se eu estava hospedado. Disse que sim. Ele só fechou a porta de onde estava e me deixou do lado de fora até chegar outras hóspedes que abriram o portão.

Breakfast was Excellent

Very well maintained property, we as a couple took an en-suite room which was pretty decent. It has a kitchen facility that can be used by everyone staying at the guest house. Breakfast is decent and the bar is well stocked.

Nothing in particular but the non availability of a restaurant makes dinner a bit challenging if you want to stay in. The only option is to get food delivered from outside.

La fenêtre qui ne se ferme pas dans la chambre où je résidais, ainsi que le manque de propreté de l'un des colocataires avec qui je partageais la salle de bain et qu'il a laissé inondée le dernier jour (prévoir un rappel des règles à certains locataires?)

テーブルマウンテンが一望できる。無料の朝食が沢山あって美味しかった。懐っこくて可愛い猫ちゃんがいる。無料の駐車場も目の前にあり広くてスペースに困らなかった。シャワーも温かいお湯が出てソープも付いている。イベントも開催されており、BBQ楽しかったです。

自分の部屋に向かうためには、その手前にあるドアを開けなければいけないが、そのドアが施錠されていることが何度かあり、スムーズに部屋に入れないことがあった。回り道をすれば部屋には辿り着ける。

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful and super clean hostel. It was perfectly located close to everything like the Table Mountain, V&A waterfront area etc. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The view of the table mountain from the hostel was amazing and pool area backdrop in the night with lights looks so amazing. The beds were comfortable with good big locker spaces for luggage and the rooms were super clean with all the amenities and beautiful ambience. The bathrooms were clean with hot water etc I absolutely loved my stay at the property and would love to stay again on my next visit. Highly recommended!!

Very comfortable room in the heart of Cape Town. Bed is ok. Ac is good for hot or cold. Shower is good. The private double room is in the roof so the walls are slanted. But we didn’t mind. The breakfast was basic but really nice. Muesli and boiled eggs with some fruit and pastries.

Ficamos num quarto exclusivo para 3 pessoas no sotão que era muito confortavel, limpo e organizado. Nós amamos.

Tem que cafe da manhã mas não inclui cafe ( so cha e suco) o cafe é cobrado a parte. Poderia ter um cafe e leite na garrafa e quem quisesse um expresso pagava.

The shampoo and body wash dispensers in the shower could have been set a little lower. Picky, picky 🙂

The Breakfast went well and the room was clean, however the drainage system needs to be looked into as there was a bit of smell from the shower room in the En-suite room. The Location is central and was close to our Marathon starting line. I really love booking at Villa Viva Cape Town I am happy :). I would definitely recommend the accomodation to anyone that wants convenience and central location in Cape Town.

Auberge de jeunesse grande et sympa pour un petit séjour. La chambre était spacieuse, et les lits corrects, les casiers sont aussi assez grands (prévoir un cadenas). L'emplacement permet de se déplacer facilement dans la ville. Le petit déjeuner était excellent, et à volonté.

La salle de bain propre à la chambre laisse par contre un peu à désirer, entre l'état et la propreté, je ne suis pas certaine que le ménage était fait tous les jours.

A localizacao e o atendimento são muito bons. Gostei das camas nao serem beliches tbm e quarto espaçoso.

Quarto escuro e mal iluminado, banheiros precisam ser limpos mais frequentemente e nunca tinham papel higiênico. Não tinha café incluso no café da manhã.

I didn't have enough space and Privacy to hide my Luggages.. since we were 4 inside 1 Room and we had only 2 Cupboard. The Room was Too small for 4 people

Zimmer hat nach Schimmel gerochen und Ameisen liefen durch Zimmer rum. Zumindest in meinem Zimmer war es . Kann sein das die anderen Zimmer sauberer waren und nicht der Fall war. Ich hatte ein 1 Bett Zimmer mit Badezimmer

I check in on Friday and check out on Monday but they never change the bedding 🛌 and also bathing towels they only change it on sunday afternoon because l was a sking them to change it

The youth hostel was originally very good, with a great style and decoration. The details are also quite good.

The front desk is very indifferent, there is no major problem, but it makes people feel indifferent, like not actively helping, and the smile is also a little fake. It makes people feel uncomfortable. Perhaps the front desk in other places was too friendly this time and I'm not used to it here.

I liked the stay overall and the place itself was nice. However, I felt that the staff often seemed very occupied with their phones and were not always attentive to guests. Simple things such as greeting guests in the morning or being a bit more welcoming and pleasant would have made the experience feel much warmer and more professional.

What I did not like was that the atmosphere sometimes felt a bit excluding. There were many German guests, which of course is not a problem in itself, but I felt that both some volunteers on site and parts of the social environment were much more welcoming towards German-speaking guests. As a non-German speaker, it sometimes felt like you were overlooked. I was also disappointed with parts of the staff service. The staff often seemed disengaged, and even small things such as serving coffee at breakfast were missing, which for me was surprising and disappointing. Overall, the hospitality and guest experience could definitely be improved.
