Like a fairytale! Best stay ever! Ideal for couples or romantic souls. Perfect stay, perfect host!

O ponto alto é estar num local turístico, tendo as imagens na janela do seu quarto. A casa histórica, o café da manhã preparado com muito carinho. A Sharon é a rainha do omelete...kkk, além de ser muito simpática. Outro ponto alto é estar no lugar turístico e aproveitar o lugar nos horários em que os turistas já partiram. A distância do centro é compensada com um transporte público bem eficiente. As fábricas de chocolate deixam um cheiro adocicado no ar. O ruim foi a chuva.

Una experiencia ideal para pasar unos días de relax, con unas vistas difíciles de superar. El trato maravilloso, cercano, amable y con todas las facilidades. La casa es tradicional y vivir la experiencia hace la estancia aún más especial. El desayuno relajado, bueno y con todo lo necesario.

Historisch, außergewöhnlich und einfach wunderschön ist dieses urige B&B im Herzen des Mühlenviertels Zaanse Schans. Wir verbrachten 3 wundervolle Nächte hier. Wie schon beschrieben, befindet sich die Unterkunft in einem historischen, dementsprechend altem Gebäude. Zu den Räumen ging es eine steile Treppe rauf (Achtung: tiefe Decken / Dachgeschoss). Der erste Raum war sozusagen der Wohnraum, danach kam das Bad mit Dusche und im Anschluss das Highlight, ein total romantisches Schlafzimmer mit Rundumblick auf den Fluss Zaan und die Windmühlen, einfach nur ein Traum😍 Abends haben wir gerne direkt auf der Terrasse am Fluss gesessen und dem Treiben der vorbeifahrenden Boote zugesehen, Entspannung pur. Das Frühstück stand unten im Esszimmer täglich zur vereinbarten Uhrzeit parat und wurde von der überaus netten und zuvorkommenden Vermieterin Sharon liebevoll zubereitet. Sie stand uns immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Vielen lieben Dank nochmal.💕

TV funktionierte nicht besonders gut (eher abgehackt), aber das war Nebensache. Die Sitzgelegenheiten im Außenbereich sind schon sehr heruntergekommen.

Außergewöhnliches Wohnen in einem historischen Gebäude und einer sehr freundlichen allzeit hilfsbereiten Gastgeberin. Tolles Frühstück und chillen am Wasser.

An die vielen Tagestouristen mussten wir uns erst gewöhnen, aber am späten Nachmittag wurde es immer romantischer.

Die Lage ist traumhaft. Morgens konnten wir direkt am Wasser das perfekte Frühstück genießen! Das Schlafzimmer mit Blick auf die Mühlen ist mega!

Perfekte Lage mit einem wundervollen Blick auf die Zaan mit Ihren Windmühlen. Trotz Touristenattraktion wohnt man ruhig. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieterin, die uns jeden Früh ein abwechslungsreiches Frühstück gezaubert hat. Es waren 7 unglaublich schöne Tage. Danke

Breakfast was amazing. To be honest, it was plentiful and we was able to make a few sandwiches with it for the day ahead. Never to much trouble for our host. Also the host is a guide so well worth asking for tips on what to see.

Die Unterkunft war einmalig, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wunderbare Aussicht und sehr schöne Sonnenuntergänge vom Schlafzimmer, nachts sehr ruhig. Privater Frühstücksplatz direkt am Wasser, trotz der vielen Touristen tagsüber.

Dusche und WC im offenen Durchgang etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Tolle Lage, wunderschöne Gegend, sehr ruhig am Abend und in der Nacht. Unsere Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag lecker und gemütlich.

Hat uns sehr gut gefallen , immer wieder gerne. Wer was besonderes sucht , dem kann ich nur besten Herzens diese Unterkunft empfehlen! Die Bus Verbindungen in die Stadt waren auch sehr gut 👍🏼 alles gut erreichbar.

Ein kleiner Manko , mit dem man aber leben kann , war das er Föhn kaputt war. Aber sonst , TOP!

man kann die Tür zum Zimmer nicht abschliessen, nur zum ganzen Haus. Wenn es windet ist es extrem laut in der Nacht

Superbe endroit. Chambre atypique et romantique avec une vue incroyable sur les moulins dans une maison incroyable. Très calme pour dormir. Accueil au top (Merci Sharon). Petits déjeuners copieux et variés. Emplacement incroyable avec accès direct aux moulins et aux champs avec faisans, oies, canards. Site incroyable. Parking pour la voiture. Idéalement placé : 15 minutes de marche pour Train ou Bus (20 minutes pour Amsterdam). Supermarché à 5 minutes. Que dire de plus que PARFAIT. Nous ne pouvons que recommander.

Parfait pour nous. Si vous recherchez de l'animation en soirée, a éviter. Pas de restauration sur place le soir mais Sharon nous a dit que nous pouvions nous faire à manger sur place. Chambre en étage (escalier pentu) sous les toits (faible hauteur: attention à la tete). Mais le charme du logement l'emporte sur ces petits bémols.

The location is ideal—right in the heart of a must-see area. There are plenty of nearby restaurants offering a variety of options, and a supermarket along with other shops is less than 1 km away, making it easy to find anything you might need. Sharon is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and she made our stay much smoother and more enjoyable. Looking forward to staying again in this property.

This place is just amazing. Whole village is magical, beautiful, you can taste and buy many different kinds of cheese, which I truly recommend (coconut one is a realy interesting choice). Accommodation itself is perfect, you woke up in the middle of all of this mentioned. Sharon is lovely and so positive person. The breakfest is big enough and delicious😊

I just recommend to wake up early to avoid the crowd od tourists in weekends.

Breakfast was lovely prepared by Sharon every morning in the pink room. A selection of bread, cheeses, cold meat. On top of that yogurt, fruit and eggs. A perfect start for a day out!

There's wasn't anything I didn't like. Totally charming place.

De locatie en de vriendelijke host maakten het tot een fantastisch verblijf. Aan alles is gedacht! Een hele bijzondere ervaring om te verblijven op de Zaanse Schans. Ik zou het iedereen aanraden!

Het is een oud pand en vroeger waren de mensen natuurlijk kleiner dus voor lange mensen moet je goed oppassen voor je hoofd! De host heeft hierin meegedacht en op lage balken kan ze piepschuim plaatsen.

De vriendelijkheid en behulpzaamheid van de eigenaresse en de prachtige locatie.

Delicious breakfast and absolutely stunning location, in the middle of windmills, right on the water. And yet only a short train ride away from Amsterdam.

Beautiful location. Lovely breakfast. Fresh breads, yoghurt, eggs, meat, cheese. Arranged at time convenient for us. Served by a very friendly host.

Didn’t like the toilet being open to the living area with no door. Wish there was a lock on the door to our individual room.

La posizione TOP e la cordialità dell'host che è stata sempre gentilissima e disponibile. La camera è dotata di tutto il necessario (frigorifero, TV, asciugacapelli). Inoltre la colazione è abbondante e genuina!

La camera è molto bella, accogliente e confortevole, in pieno stile nord-europeo, se proprio devo cercare qualcosa diciamo che avrebbe bisogno di qualche piccolo ritocco. Niente che abbia comunque influenzato il nostro pernottamento.

Het beddengoed; is aan vervanging toe wat mij betreft. Er zitten veel motmuggen; afvoeren lopen niet goed af. Misschien dat e.e.a. met elkaar te maken heeft... De rolgordijnen zitten vol met geplette vliegen en muggen; over het algemeen maakte de accommodatie een smoezelige indruk op ons.

This is the most beautiful place where we have ever slept 😍 the view to the molins directly from the bed is incredible!! Furthermore, Sharon is really nice, the breakfast she prepared for us every morning was great. The place is located in Zaanse Schans so you can have a visit there or with the train you can arrive to Amsterdam (15 minutes and a few Euro ticket) or to Rotterdam. All fantastic!!

Breakfast was wonderful, so many options. Bread types, jams/preserves, yogurt, fresh juice, tea/coffee. Cooked egg options. Bedroom at end of house overlooks the river on three sides. Windmill boat trips and museums on your doorstep, right outside, easy walking experience.

Unable to use the TV system. No instructions, also a few hints and tips booklet for house would have been helpful.

Es ist schon eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft in einer sehr schönen Gegend. Das Schlafzimmer mit dieser tollen Aussicht hat schon etwas Besonderes. Allerdings ist es dort auch extrem eng und auch auf seinen Kopf sollte man aufpassen, wenn man den Schlafraum betritt, sonst liegt man plötzlich eher neben dem Bett mit einer großen Beule. Das Frühstück war lecker, aber auch hier hält sich unsere Begeisterung in zwecks Abwechslung Grenzen. Für uns ist die Unterkunft zu hoch bejubelt.

Wer eine Phobie gegen Spinnen hat, sollte die Unterkunft lieber nicht buchen. Man muss damit leben können, dass nachts auch mal Spinnen über das Bett laufen. In der Küche in der unteren Etage gibt es kein Wasser, kein Besteck, die Ausstattung ist schlecht, es gibt keine Möglichkeit, sich Essen zuzubereiten. Im Waschbecken im Bad oben lief das Wasser nicht ab und überall riecht es muffig.

Der lichtdurchflutete Schlafzimmer mit rundum Ausblick auf Brücke, das Gegenüber und die Windmühlen war besonders schön. Das Frühstück war eine morgendliche Überraschung - wir hatten hier das beste Essen unserer gesamten Rundreise.

„Kopfeinziehen“ und Treppenabsätze steigen ist angesagt. Ist nun mal bei sehr alten Gebäuden so. Der muffige Geruch hatte den Charme zu uralten Dielen.

Una camera fantastica, con un letto posizionato in una luminosa stanza a vetri affacciata direttamente sul canale. La vista è davvero mozzafiato! Tutto pulito e accogliente. La proprietaria, Sharon, è gentilissima e molto disponibile. Unica attenzione da avere: i soffitti sono bassi e ci sono alcuni archi, quindi bisogna fare attenzione alla testa. Il bagno è ricavato in un corridoio di passaggio tra l’ingresso e la camera, ma nel complesso è un difetto accettabile. La struttura si trova proprio al centro del villaggio: tra le 9 e le 18 c’è molta gente, essendo un sito turistico molto visitato, ma dopo quell’orario cala il silenzio più totale, ideale per riposare bene. Colazione più che buona, parcheggio gratuito: consigliato!

This quirky property is in an historic location showing how Dutch industrial life once was on the river Zan. Modern furnishings with a very comfortable large bed and bedding The views from the bedroom were amazing. Sharon is an excellent host, and delivered us a fantastic breakfast each morning. She is very knowledgeable and gave us good advice on nearby places to visit on our bicycles. Walking distance to the train station then only a short journey into Amsterdam, about 15/20mins.

Be aware there is a low entrance to the bedroom which caught us out a few times! The bathroom is between the living space and bedroom so not very private. This was fine for us may be a problem for others. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great Not many places to eat after 8pm

This is a great place for a romantic stay. Tourists from all over the world come every day to visit this village/live museum for a few hours, and you get to live in it! Amazing. And peaceful. It us not noisy even during the day, and very quiet in the evening. Old wooden house. We had a big airy room with large windows. You get the sunrise over a green field on one side, and the sunset over the Zaans river on the other, just a few meters from the windows. Sharon is a very nice and easygoing host. She tespobded quickly to our watsups even on Sunday, and serves a very large breakfast. There are several restaurants and coffee shops nearby, and a SPAR supermarket. The train station is about 12-15 minuts easy walk away, where you can take the Sprintet train into Amsterdam (or stop at Zaandam). You can also take the 391 bus from the meauseum. This mat nit be for younge people seeking an urban stay, but for a couple like us it was perfect. Ditting in the garden wuth a bottle of wine just looking at the sunset colors over the river...Loved it!

Not a problem but you need to be prepared: 1. As can be expected, there are some mosquitos near the river. We prepared in advance with a rolle-on repellent so they didn't bother us. 2. It is an ancient house. Beautiful, charming, full of atmosphere. Expect some creeks and cracks - it is part of the experience😉

Great location and room. Sharon made the stay memorable. She made the whole experience great. Be warned that the stairs are not for the elderly but she carried our bags to the room. It’s right at the wind mills.

Everything is perfect. clean and comfortable room with everything you may need. Comfortable bed, clean towels, coffee maker, and electric kettle for tea and hot drinks. The view is amazing and very close to windmills. Free parking was also very good, especially with my old parents but you can also go by train to central Amsterdam in 20 min. Sharon is a super host. She was very welcoming and helpful all the time. She made our vacation more enjoyable, and she did all her best to make us happy . She was very generous, and Bibi was very helpful. The breakfast was very good in taste and variety with eggs, cold cuts, yogurt, juice, and bakery. I highly recommend it for a relaxing family vacation

The wifi signal was weak but we dont believe that in a place so amazing like Zaanse Schan this is a problem.

Lovely welcome from Sandra shower, toilet handbasin.... only issue was that the was nowhere to place the bar of soap in the shower. Right next to the Sans museum/windmills Room was large and comfortable, with lovely view across the garden to the river. Lovely breakfast, enough for 3. consisted of, bread, rolls, croissants, Orange juice, coffee/tea, yoghurts, jams/spreads, cheese/sliced meats, Nice and very quiet in the evenings after the tourists had left.

It was an amazing experience staying in this property! The area itself was like an open museum. The house we stayed had a wonderfully historical vibe and Sharon, the owner had been really friendly and helpful the whole time! As far as the breakfast is concerned, it was more than two people can eat!

Everything was great, yet the garden could have been in a much better state since it is also wonderful to enjoy your time there.

Lovely host and really nice location by the canal. The house itself is a nice experience, and it's great how they turned it into a hotel while still keeping the original look&feel from the 17th century.

It's basically an open-air museum, so there are many tourist groups that stop by the house during daytime.

Location , views, breakfast and staff actually everything are really good, only a little issue of security,because of share use of the stairs and the room door cannot lock when we are out, so is small problem of that.

Very nice ambience , a beautiful and special suite in a unique place. Thank you Sharon for the great hospitality!
