Sehr sehr freundliches Personal, weiter so! Nähe zum Nationalpark Grösse des Zimmers Guter Wasserdruck!

Zimmer war nicht wirklich sauber, bei den Wänden war es unten nicht verschlossen und entsprechend kam dort immer wieder Dreck rein. Es hatte viele Ameisen im Zimmer und im Badezimmer Würmer am Boden durch den Abfluss etc. Matratzen waren unten geschimmelt (auf dem Rost konnten die Matratzen nicht atmen und entsprechend entstand Schimmel)

This is a real homestay where you are treated like a guest of the host family. Excellent breakfast (included) and dinner (at a very fair price, with lots of veggies). Very fair value for money for Mulu. Simple, but comfortable room. Just 15 minutes walk from the national park entrance. We ended up staying only one of the five nights we had booked because we were lucky enough to get accommodation in the park, something we had tried months ago, when we were told that it was fully booked. While we loved the (much more expensive) park accommodation because it was even closer to nature, we missed the warm hospitality of Robert and Dina, who were incredibly gracious and helpful, as well as interesting to talk to.

The bathroom could use a makeover, especially some more space to put your things.

Il bagno. Non c'era un tubo che non perdesse. Ci hanno offerto il servizio di trasporto dall'aeroporto pagando 15 Myr per fare circa 5 o 600 metri.

Eine schöne, familiäre Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen und die beiden Gastgeber sind sehr bemüht, einem jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Auch haben sie gutes Essen.

Dina e tutto il suo staff, accogliente e sorridente; la camera e il bagno ampi. I noodels cucinati sul momento, La posizione a pochi minuti a piedi dall'ingresso del Parco Nazionale.

È andato tutto bene. La struttura è semplice, in linea con altre strutture semplici malesi, ma sicuramente più ampia e pulita.

Enorm vriendelijk personeel. Het verblijf ligt dichtbij het vliegveld en dichtbij NP Mulu. Goed ontbijt (pannenkoeken), maar je kunt er ook een verpakte lunch aanvragen en avondeten. Vooral het avondeten was heel lekker. Alles werd vers bereidt.

Het sanitair van ons badkamer kon wel een doekje gebruiken.

Excellent location! This homestay is a 10min walk to Mulu National Park. Great stay during your time in Mulu! The rooms have all the basic facilities needed. Staff is fantastic! The hostess prepares an excellent breakfast. For a very small fee, you can also enjoy a great dinner buffet! She was kind enough to adapt the meal as per our requests. Recommend this stay!

Dina und Robert sind super Gastgeber und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war lecker und wir haben sogar einen Ausflug mit ihnen unternommen, bei welchem wir Mulu nochmals von einer ganz anderen und weniger touristischen Seite kennengelernt haben. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

We had a wonderful stay here, but what really made the difference were the people. Robert and Dina are amazing hosts. They made us feel at home from the very first moment and were always incredibly kind, welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed. You can really tell they care about their guests and want everyone to have the best experience possible. We also loved spending time chatting with them during and after dinner. Those conversations were one of our favourite parts of the stay and made the experience feel much more personal. A special mention also to everyone else working here, they were all so friendly, welcoming and always greeted us with a smile. Thank you all for making our time in Mulu so memorable. We would happily stay here again!

Een hele warme Homestay. Je voelt je echt thuis bij Robert en Diana. Ze koken voor je, zetten thee voor je. Ze organiseerde een privé tour met hun. Dat was een geweldige dag. Er werd goed ingespeeld op dat we een gezin van vijf zijn, dus er werd een extra matras op de grond erbij gelegd zodat we samen op een kamer konden slapen. Ze deden de was voor een vergoeding. En hun verblijf is heel dichtbij het park.

Er is niks wat niet bevallen is. Wellicht dat er beter gereageerd kan worden op een gestelde vraag in de app van Booking.com. En het is een Homestay. Basic maar heel netjes en schoon.

Dina and Robert are incredibly welcoming hosts! I stayed 3 nights and could've easily stayed longer if time permitted. They are pleasant conversations, very knowledgeable of the park and great cooks! Very comfortable bed and room! Dina also did a great job with my laundry. So grateful I found D'Cave Homestay for my Mulu trip :)

The location is ideal for accessing the airport and the National Park (10 minutes walk). The room we had (3 beds) had an en-suite and air conditioned with two fans. Plenty of hangers, clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast was included which varies day to day. The hosts are also very friendly and helpful. They have many cats which we adore!

No Wi-Fi. Make sure you get a Sim Card with one of the national networks like Celcom, Digi or Maxis. My cheap and cheerful Sim Card did not get any signal and I had to walk to the airport to get signal for my Sim to work.

Wir waren 5 Nächte hier und würden es immer wieder tun. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und es gibt kostenloses Trinkwasser und Frühstück ist auch inkludiert (2 Pfannkuchen). Entweder es gibt Buffet zu Lunch/Dinner oder kocht sie bei Bedarf ein einzelnes Gericht (15RM für ein Gericht / 25RM für Buffet). Die Zimmer waren sauber und es gab Handtücher. Wir wurden wieder kommen :) Die Lage ist außerdem praktisch genau zwischen dem Flughafen und Nationalparkeingang gelegen

There is a hot shower and air conditioning. The park is a 5 minute walk from the entrance to Mulu Park. Dina and her husband do everything they can to make guests comfortable and give us a real insight into the local culture and were also able to help with park activities. Dina is happy to organize activities for guests outside the park in local places. I can only recommend them!

This was the best homestay I’ve ever stayed at. We made so many memories there that we can’t even count them. We loved everything and can recommend anyone to stay at this homestay. - The hosts: The house belongs to Robert and Dina. Dina is the soul of the house. She is a lovely host that is always happy and smiling. She helps you with literally everything and you can always go to her and ask her anything. Dina is also a really good cook and provides good local and healthy food. Robert used to be a senior guide at the National Park and knows everything about it. You can ask him anything if you want to know something about the park and the tours. - The house, the rooms and booking: It is a homestay, so don’t expect any luxury place of course. But the rooms are nice and clean. They were renovated and look way more modern than on the pictures you can see at the moment. Our room was clean and the shower is big and has hot water. All rooms have an own bathroom (also the family room). - Booking (IMPORTANT!!!): It is important to know that there is a problem with the booking system at the moment and only one room is shown for booking (the family room). But there are 3 rooms available: double/twin room (2 people), family room (up to 4 people), dorm room (4 beds). If there is still only the family room or no room available at the time of your booking, you should write a message to Dina and ask her directly about the availabilities, maybe there are still beds available even though it’s not shown on Booking. - Food: Breakfast (delicious pancakes with bananas) is included and lunch and dinner are optional (25 RM each for one time). You don’t have to go anywhere else to eat as the food is super good as already mentioned. Water, tea, coffee is always provided and for free.

I really liked staying with Dina and Robert. They are really kind people. The rooms were great and clean and the food was always really delicious. The location is perfect since it’s only a few minutes walking from the park and the airport.

La cuisine est très bonne et copieuse. Le logement est propre. Il y a de l'eau chaude et une clim. J'ai passé un super séjour, merci encore !!

Dina and Robert have been great hosts. Nice home cooked meals and good conversations. The rooms have ventilators and AC. Warm water is provided. Location is in walking distance (<10 minutes) from the airport and park entrance. Considering, that this is a homestay in a remote area, it got more than expected.

If you’re heading to Mulu, you’ve got to stay at this homestay! 🌿 The hosts are the absolute sweetest, and it’s only a 10-min walk to the park entrance. The food is tasty, and having AC in the room for an afternoon nap is a total lifesaver in the heat. Brilliant, kind and considerate hosts, delicious food, comfy room with hot water and AC and walking distance to the Mulu National Park Office. We stayed for a nights and met some lovely fellow travellers.

Obiekt dość prosty ale umówmy się, jesteśmy w środku dżungli, prąd jest, czyste łóżko jest, owadów nie ma. Lokalizacja nie do pobicia. Gospodyni gotuje też obiady czy też kolację, warto skorzystać bo choć cena jest podobna jak w innych tam opcjach i nie ma wielkiego wyboru, tu jesz ile chcesz. Piwo też oferują w bardzo rozsądnej cenie. Pewnie już nie przyjadę do Mulu, ale gdybym kiedyś przyjechał, na pewno właśnie tu się zatrzymam.

Really nice family run place. Right next to the road to get to the park, easy walk to enter the park. Delicious food served at night if you want some, the beds are comfy and ac works great, clean bathrooms. Fresh coffee in the morning with some pancakes, also close to The Cantina (store/restaurant) Couldn't ask for more at Mulu!!!! Especially at such an affordable price. Terimahkasi!!!!

Die Lage nahe Airport und Park ist super. Das Zimmer für drei Personen für mich alleine war schön groß. Klima funktioniert. Das Zimmer war sauber, allerdings war die Bettdecke nicht bezogen. Keine Ahnung, ob jedesmal die ganze Decke gewaschen wird? Ich hab es mir zumindest eingeredet...

Die überschwänglichen Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Klar, homestay, Dschungel, alles muss aufwändig hergebracht werden... Trotzdem kann auch mit einfachen Mitteln ein ansprechenderes Ambiente geschaffen werden. .Bad ohne warmes Wasser. Abflüsse stinken. Badetür schließt nicht. Matratzen durchgelegen. Wenig einladende Atmosphäre im Vorraum und Aufenthaltsbereich, wo gegessen wird, vielleicht auch den Bauarbeiten geschuldet? Alles wirkt etwas lieblos und ungepflegt. Kein WLAN Frühstück sind zwei kalte Pancakes, alles andere als lecker Abendessen für 25 RM, nur am ersten Abend gut, am zweiten gab es Reste vom Mittag und am dritten hab ich gut im Nationalpark-Restaurant gegessen.

The location was amazing! A 5-8 minute walk from the airport, 10 minute walk to the park and a 15-30 minute walk to the craft markets. Dina and Robert were exceptional hosts who take great pride in ensuring guests are comfortable and feel at home. They offer great services such as rides, a local activity which includes a trip to a waterfall as well as amazing food! I can’t recommend this home stay enough. I really appreciated the flexibility and personal touch when arranging with them, from activities to extending my stay, which you will want to do!

Dina is amazing....the cave is clean there are good vibes , Dina does the best for you feel happy in your place she helps you in the tour as well. The bedroom was big and good mattres. I recommend the place I 'll come back sure next time.

Staying here was a highlight of my trip. The owners were so welcoming and offered to cook lunch & dinner for a small price. Spent the evenings getting to know each other too which was lovely. I met some great other travellers here as well. Perfect location - walking distance to the airport and national park. The also offer tours if enough people want to go

My favourite homestay in Asia The family Dina ,Robert,Nellie and Dorkas were so friendly and accommodating They let me use their kitchen without any trouble at all Helped me out with a scooter ride to the park when I was running late and i taught them how to make lemon meringue pie This family are so lovely I highly recommend mulu d cave I loved it here

Location and bedding was nice. Food was good. The top was the owner. Dina and her husband were really nice. Helpful when needed, got good stories to tell and they can also manage a trip from Miri to Mulu by car/boat (it is not yet on booking, need to ask them directly). Thank you very much

Very nice stay, very close to the national Park. Dina and Robert are really taking care of their guests, and help organizing trips in the national Park with very good guides. Also meet great people there, very nice experience.

One of my best stays in Malaysia. The accomodation was basic but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was A+++++++ I met lots of fellow travellers at this small hostel. The tours organised by Dina were far better than the National Park Tours. The place was very clean and the food offered plentiful and well priced. Dina cared deeply for her guests and was so helpful. Robert as ex-National Park guide knew so much and was extremely helpful. Dina taught me some local dances one morning and dressed me up in traditional gear. She offered so many extras. Highly recommended. Ps the hostel is currently being remodelled and will be better than ever shortly.

room is narrow than the picture and not clean. bedsheet has many small insects. two shower rooms, two toilets and one sink with super low water pressure.

The hosts are hearty and super nice, they really care for the guests , on the day when all restaurants were closed Dina fixed us a nice lunch. Breakfasts served were fulling and tasty, we could refill water and make ourselves coffee/tea during the day. the location is perfect within walking distance to airport, mulu park entrance and many restaurants. Ask the hosts for Mulu park tours before booking with the park. Cats all around the place were cute and cuddly

It was too hot during the day even with ceiling fan on max. we had small ants in our room that were running everywhere- furnitures and all(not biting I guess, just a nuisance). Something else was biting a bit in the night, but don’t know what. There could be more taps in the bathroom. Note that the shower is warm only when the sun warms the water( in the evening it will be rather cooler)

My stay was absolutely amazing! Dina, the owner, was fantastic, she organized an incredible jungle trip, including an unforgettable camping night in the middle of nature. The homestay is perfectly located, just a short distance from the national park, and the whole team is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and always ready to help with anything you need. They really think of everything to make your stay exceptional. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

És el millor homestay de tot Mulu i la Dina ha sigut la millor amfitriona de tot el nostre mes a Malaisia. Amb la companyia dels seus gats, l’estada és millor. Recomano aquest homestay al 100%. A més l’esmorzar és abundant i vam sopar ben a gust. Habitació àmplia. A 5-10 min del parc, el camí fins allà val la pena.

Lovely homestay close to the airport and the park entrance. The host is very friendly and accommodating. She made me feel like being part of the family. They have a buffet style family dinner every night. The place is very clean, and we could do our laundry after the hikes. The place is a bit rusty but definitely good value for money. I would definitely come back.

Shared room windows didn't close well and AC wasn't very effective, but temperature was bearable. Facilities weren't very clean, especially toilet/shower. Ants everywhere and some big dead insects on the floor.

That was my best hostel so far! The hosts are genuinely kind, helpful and caring, always trying to move heaven and earth for their guests. The location is fantastic, just few min walk to the airport and max 10min walk to the National Park. Personally, I enjoyed the breakfast (which was included), delicious pancakes and the homemade dinner - I have never eaten so delicious fish! Very clean, rooms with AC I know that they do their best to improve every day so likely the next stay will be even better (if that’s possible).

I would only add small lockers for essentials.

Had a wonderful one-night stay at D Cave Homestay. The host was very kind, cooked dinner to my taste, and gave great tips for visiting Mulu. Thanks to their advice, I went to Deer Cave on the first day and saw the bat exodus before the weather turned bad. The room was comfortable with air conditioning — a very pleasant surprise!

La proximidad al parque (7 min caminando) y la amabilidad y simpatia de los propietarios. La comida que cocina la propietaria-cocinera-cantante Dina es excelente. Lugar austero pero muy acogedor.

Die großherzige Art der Chefin, die wirklich sehr bemüht war, uns ein angenehmen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Unser Zimmer war auch gut.

Bei den sanitären Einrichtungen haben wir einige Punkte abgezogen. Warmwasser gab es nur bei Sonnenschein. Man muss jedoch auch berücksichtigen, dass gerade Umbauarbeiten erfolgten.

Die Lage ist super praktisch: Man kann sowohl in 10 Minuten vom Flughafen zum Homestay laufen, als auch zum Nationalpark. Dina vermittelt auch private Guides für Touren im Nationalpark. Bei uns hat das leider nicht geklappt, da es mindestens 4 Personen braucht. Und haben die vielen kleinen Kätzchen gefallen und Dina und Robert sind sehr nett. Sehr leckere Pancakes zum Frühstück - allerdings gibt es keine Alternative falls man das nicht mag (Toast,…)

Während unseres Aufenthalt ging es etwas chaotisch zu, da Dina und Robert erst selbst aus dem Urlaub zurückkamen: Die Zimmer waren noch nicht vorbereitet, das angekündigte Abendessen ist kurzfristig ausgefallen und die Bananen für die Pancakes zum Frühstück fehlten am ersten Tag. Leider gab es - anders als angegeben - kein Wifi. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns ein HotSpot gelegt.

Perfectly located within walking distance (just 5–10 minutes) from both the airport and the park entrance. Dina is incredibly warm-hearted and open-minded – I immediately felt at home. She even helped me organize some tours right away, which made my stay so much easier and more enjoyable. On top of that, her cooking was absolutely delicious! Staying here was truly a pleasure.

I was stranded in Mulu and spontaneously booked this homestay for one night. I absolutely loved it and wished I was staying for my whole trip there. Dina was so nice and helped me out a lot. Also the food they made was really good. There is even a path to go down to the river to swim. The location is also convenient - a short walk to the National Park and to the airport. I can only recommend staying with Dina and Robert during your time in Mulu.

Wow, what an amazing stay! Dina and Robert have been nothing short of wonderful hosts. From the delicious home-cooked meals to the laughs and unforgettable karaoke nights, everything felt warm and welcoming. They put so much effort into creating a real family atmosphere where you instantly feel at home. The location is perfect too, only a 5–10 minute walk to the park entrance. La struttura è molto semplice e spartana, ma se non si hanno grandi esigenze, ha tutto il necessario per trascorrere un paio di notti a Mulu. Dina è un host molto accogliente e disponibile nel soddisfare tutte le richieste dei propri ospiti. La posizione è ottima per raggiungere il parco (7 minuti a piedi circa), e 5 dall'Aeroporto.

Soggiornare a D Cave Homestay è un'esperienza da vivere. Robert e Dina ci hanno fatto sentire a casa e immergere nella loro cultura in maniera autentica. Dina inoltre è un'ottima cuoca, consiglio di fermarsi a cena da loro. La struttura è basic ma ha tutto quello che serve ed è pulita. La posizione è ottima, a pochi passi dall'aeroporto e dal parco.

Dina is een geweldige host die je gelijk thuis laat voelen! De kamer waar wij sliepen had een fijn matras. De homestay is op een kwartiertje lopen vamaf de ingang van het park. Het onbijtje is lekker en het avondeten ook. Op de laatste dag kregen we nog een danshow en kledingshow voorgeschoteld. Heerlijk verblijf!

Die Lage zwischen Flughafen und Eingang zum Mulu Nationalpark war sehr praktisch und genau so unkompliziert wie von der Gastgeberin geschildert. Das Essen hat uns immer gut geschmeckt. Die Duschen und Toiletten waren sauber. Wir konnten unsere Wäsche zum Trocknen aufhängen. Es gab Bier an der Unterkunft und es konnte nach dem gemeinsamen Abendessen noch gemütlich gequatscht werden :)

Die Klimaanlage war sehr laut und es ist Eis auf das Bett gefallen.

Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es steht zu viel Kram rum, einiges müsste repariert werden und es könnte sauberer sein.
