Reviewed May 9, 2026Had a very comfortable and budget-friendly stay at Shree Maya Home Stay. The best part was the hospitality of Pradeep ji — very helpful, polite, and guided us properly for Mahakal darshan and local sightseeing. The location is convenient and close to Mahakaleshwar Temple, which made travel easy. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and worth the price. Overall, a great option for pilgrims and families visiting Ujjain. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful and affordable stay.I was a solo rider so enjoyed it.
The room fan can be changed as it is very old style and the air was not totally worth.

Gave a proper itinerary to visit all the important temples and importance of rituals there. It was an amazing experience, I was skeptical but he advised me to visit the bagalamukhi temple at nalkheda... It was a very good experience.

The rooms were way too dirty and there was no ventilation, the owner will wake up as early as 4 am in the morning just to switch off the air conditioner power supply and will question at every step.

And that hotel owner Mr Pradeep sharma Very nice persin very genuine. It is very close to main temple. And he is very helping nature persone. Iam really happy to stayed in this hotel. Room size and cleaning and facilities very good. It means excellent. If any coming to ujjain for darshan, please go this hotel. Thanq so much Mr Pradeep sharma.
There is no any negitive points for this hotel. That to very low budget price.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2025Travelled solo and stayed there for 3nights. My train was late by an hour and at 11pm Pradeep Ji was there at the platform waiting to receive me. The rooms were value for money with a working AC and warm water at all times. No disturbance. Perfectly safe and a home away from home. Pretty near to railway station and bus pick up point. There's also a restaurant that delivered food right to my room. Pradeep ji also arranged for an e-rickshaw and Sudhir Bhai made sure all my darshan experiences were hassel free. Even picked me for Bhasm Aarti at 12.30 in the night. Perfect place for all travellers, especially solo females.

Reviewed Apr 1, 2025The owner was well-behaved and personally came to pick. The room cost approx 2.3K for 2 nights for three people. Area of improvement: 1. Wifi was not working 2. The room needs renovation 3. The washbasin water pipe was not well connected to the drainage system so if you are washing your face all water was spreading on the floor 4. Need to work on cleanliness 5. The size of wash basin is very small should be of medium size I have stayed in a previous hotel paying just 800 and getting a good spacious room. One can check other options and you will get a better room with the same price.

Reviewed Feb 11, 2025It was a very pleasant stay at Shree Maya home stay. Pradeep ji, the owner of the property, was very helpful from the beginning. He provided help in reaching the property, organizing a day trip to Onkareshwar, and also arranging transportation to the railway station at late night. He always checked in to ensure everything was okay. I recommend everyone to book this property if you want to stay in a prime location with very economical price and a homely feeling.

He even provided us with the travel options to Mahakal and kal bhairav temple which were quite affordable. The rooms are clean and comfortable. All in all this is a good value for money stay.
