Location and the hospitality of every staff

Breakfast was amazing - either choosing from a menu, or having a buffet (buffet was available on weekends). I appreciated the accommodation of my special food requests, the staff were helpful and considerate in making sure my needs were taken into account. As for the place itself, it felt cozy, clean, and well maintained, and beds were very comfortable. We had a really good rest because of that. Might stay here again next time.

The air conditioner was very noisy when set to a lower temperature, so I had a hard time falling asleep as I’m a light sleeper. Also, a socket in the bathroom did not work. Besides that, everything else was good.

The property is nicely decorated and good location (far enough from the hustle and bustle of Urbiztondo Beach area but close enough if you’d like to venture out for the night). Clean room (they appear to be cleaning communal areas all the time which I personally appreciate). Staff attentive without being annoying.

I stayed at room 2220 and the toilet fixtures need sorting - the toilet door knob needs fixing as it’s loose so as the sink tap. The shower tap also needs fixing as they weren’t working properly (they water output is meant to changed to you turn the knob but it wasn’t doing so) and the water pressure is also less to be desired.

Restaurant was really nice and the food very good. We'd like a few more options like cereals and pastries, tea and milk.

The room was nice and clean. The place has great ambience. My partner and I really enjoyed the amenities included. Staff were really nice and helpful during our stay.

The staff remained apologetic, patient, and accommodating throughout. Once settled, we found the place to be safe, friendly, and overall a good stay in La Union.

We had a rough start at Patio by Balai Norte—the first room had a broken aircon, and we waited around 30 minutes in the heat. Unfortunately, the second room’s aircon wasn’t working properly either, which made things frustrating.

The hotel is modern and clean. The facilities are very good, and the staff are friendly. The Xen pool is a great area to chill out with a great ambience and good food. The Alaia beach resort is relaxing with a huge sandy beach.

The booking website description is misleading. It clearly states there is not a swimming pool at Patio. Whilst that is sort of correct, the pool at Xen is in the Patio car park, 2 minutes walk from the hotel entrance. The beach resort, Alaia, shows pictures of the Xen pool on the booking website. This could lead you to believe the pool is at Alaia, about 10 minutes away using the Patio transfer shuttle. There is no pool at Alaia.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The staff were great and allowed us to have an early checkin.

The booking site said that the rooms were soundproof but we could hear all the noises from outside the room on the same floor and above floor as well. We also ordered cold drinks at the cafe dowstairs, there was only one other table of customers and our drinks took a long time to be served. We waited for about 30 minites.

Great food and drink across several options, friendly, helpful and efficient staff, comfortable and stylish public and private spaces and all excellent value.

Some way from the beach and town, but more than compensated for by the complimentary shuttle service, including to the groovy Alaia Beach Club. Ground floor bedrooms are a little noisy at nighttime.

The food was well presented in their cafe and restaurant.

Checked into our allocated room and found the toilet wasn’t flushing. Reported the issue. Repairs were attempted twice and was unsuccessful. When we requested another room, we were downgraded a room without windows. Moreover, at check in- I was asked to sign a form that any stains on their linen, or damaged soap dispensers etc would have to be paid for. The form included a price lists of all their linen. The following morning, when we went to breakfast and introduced ourselves to the staff member, we were shown by the staff member a sign at the desk that there is a mandate that guests will be fined an amount when there is any food wasted on your plate.

The hotel is super clean with very nice design. I like the big spaces. The staff are excellent. The only downside is they don’t have a pool yet. But they have their own private resort and take you there if you want to go for a swim

The walls are very very thin and you can hear everything that happens in the room next door, especially during the night. We have been woken up almost every night by people talking in the room next doors or talking in the hallway.
