We stayed at Nile Roof Hotel for 3 nights and felt very comfortable. The entire staff, especially the managers, were extremely kind and helpful with everything. They organized our tours, all of our transfers, and even our shopping upon request. Their prices were very reasonable, and thanks to their support, we had a smooth and comfortable experience. Although the facility needs a bit of maintenance, we definitely recommend it. By the way, it is located right on the banks of the Nile, very close to the ferry station, and the breakfast was adequate. Thank you and best wishes! 👋

de perfecte locatie op de Westbank, bij de ferry. Eenvoudig, simpel, maar schoon ! Grote kamer, grote badkamer en klein balkon. Vanaf dakterras mooi uitzicht op de Nijl. Ontbijt is eenvoudig, maar de prijs is erg laag voor 1 nacht. De service is TOP

uitstraling van het hotel is nog steeds niet mooi. zo ook het dakterras, die zou gezelliger kunnen, met betere stoelen.

従業員のマンボーがとてもいい人でした。 ホテルの外に出ると客引きやボッタクリが多く疲弊していましたが、ここのホテルの方はツアーを良心的な価格で提供してくれます。外の客引きと交渉するより、ホテルの方とプランを組む方が良いです。 私達はルクソールの西側の神殿ツアーとルクソールからアスワンへのプライベートタクシーをお願いしました。 ツアー終了後も満足度を確認してくれたりと、親切丁寧でした。 ここのオーナーの方の奥さんは日本人なのでとても親日です。 また　苦手な虫が出た時もすぐに対応してくれました。

Es fehlt vielleicht ein Schrank

Hotel on the Westbank, just in front of the ferry which makes it really easy to access. The room was big and comfortable. The owner try to make you feel at home as much as possible. The breakfast is simple and good (bread, jam, egg, cheese and tea/coffee). The rooftop will give you a beautiful view on the Nile river. The owner will be happy to provide any Information you need about Luxor, or to plan day-trip/transport.

Je recommande vivement cet hôtel car nous avons passé un séjour très agréable. Sa situation est parfaite : proche de tout (commerces, restaurants, commodités), et surtout à deux pas de l’embarcadère pour rejoindre l'autre côté du Nil (centre ville). Un véritable atout pour partir à l’aventure sans perdre de temps. C’est calme, l’hôte et son personnel sont très accueillant. Nous reviendrons sans hésitation

Friendly and helpful owner and staff. Good value for money. Simple but clean accomodation in a good location near the public ferry. Terrace on the roof with a nice view of the river. When we had a problém with our shower it was fixed in 20 minutes.

The entrance is through a soccer field, we had a bit of trouble finding it.

The hospitality and the home feeling I got. Mambo included me in his ramadan tradition to distribute juices to people and invited me to join them at dinner (break fast for them during ramadan). I booked with him a car to take me to Aswan and during the day, he would call to make sure I am okay. If I visit Luxor again, I will surely stay here.

La struttura pulita e accogliente, si trova all'interno di un centro sportivo, a 5 minuti a piedi dal ferry boat per la riva orientale di Luxor. La stanza era molto spaziosa. La zona è molto viva e ben servita, con ben due farmacie, ristoranti per tutti i gusti, mini market, bancomat e noleggio bici. Super consigliata la "succheria" all'angolo della strada principale. Il proprietario dell'hotel Mandouh è molto disponibile. Può organizzarvi qualsiasi trasferimento e visita ai principali siti turistici ed è sempre pronto a dare consigli.

スタッフの方がみんな優しいです。チェックイン時間前に荷物を預けた時も、屋上でお茶を出してくださり、車をチャーターしたいとお願いすると知り合いに安く頼んでくださいました。🚗 少し日本語が喋れる方もいました。 朝ごはんも屋上でナイル川を望みながらいただきました！ 今回は利用しませんでしたが、ランチやディナーも、向かいの提携ホテルの屋上でいただけるそうです🍴 部屋はとても広く、虫はいませんでした（蚊避けをくれます。）。コンセント、タオルあります。部屋からもナイル川が一望できます✨ 埃などもなく、清潔でした！またルクソールに来る機会があれば、泊まりたいです。 人がとても素敵なホテルでした。💗

若干シャワーの水圧が低いですが、全く問題ありませんでした。 シャンプーリンス、ドライヤーありません。

We stayed at this accommodation as a group of four. From the very first moment, we felt at home. I have been to Luxor several times, but the owner of this house and the people around him impressed me the most out of all my previous stays. I had many specific requests, and the owner understood perfectly what we wanted and arranged everything absolutely flawlessly — even better than I expected! He is surrounded by wonderful people, which makes your stay a truly perfect experience. There is almost no need to evaluate the accommodation itself — for the price, it is very good. Perfect location near the pier, nice view from roof terrace etc. I highly recommend this place. Sometimes inexpensive accommodation is much better than expensive ones! Thank you very much.

Everything was perfect.

房间收拾的很干净，地板也很干净，住宿的地方在码头里面，这里是坐船去东岸的地方，挺热闹的。但是车是开不进来的，到了码头外面需要走路大概4分钟才能到达住宿的地方。虽然楼外面看起来破破的，但是房间里面是干净和整洁的。到了酒店以后房东大叔会给你做一个推销，比如包车去帝王谷或者想包船在尼罗河上坐船等等，就是价格比外面的贵，但是不买也没关系这不是强制的。然后热水很足，可以洗好久。

I would start just by saying “thanks Mamdouh!”, Nile Roof Hotel&Restaurant would really not be the same without you. We felt such at ease in a nice and welcoming atmosphere. Always ready to help and with good solution at hand. Had nice time chatting and laughing. Found a great heart and positive energy! He organised for us a great hot air ballon experience and a feluca ride. So you don’t really have to worry about much. We had previously been in Sharm and Cairo; Egypt provides very diverse accommodations and this one is by far the one where I felt more at home and relaxed. Value for money: Exceptional. This bank of the river is also less chaotic and Nile Roof Hotel is in a really good location, near the boats to cross and a few nice places to eat. There is a football field in front of the accommodation. If you like to play you can join! Breakfast is simple and filling. Super eating with the view of the Nile.

That we had to go away

The hotel’s location was very convenient, the room was spacious and spotless, and the staff were outstanding—kind, attentive, and always willing to help. They also assisted us in arranging our tours.

Very conveniently placed next to the public (and private) ferry service and spacious room. The owner Mamdouh is very kind and helpful to make our Luxor trip so memorable. He helped us arrange airport pickup, found drivers for our day trips and quality hot air balloon tour at reasonable price. He gave us good recommendations to restaurants, but never pushed us to choose any service, in contrast to what one would typically experience on Luxor streets.

The room is not sound proof, and we can hear noise from the football field (especially on weekends, i.e. Thursday to Saturday) and nearby streets. This is a fair trade-off for the convenient location, but bring ear plugs for light sleepers.

Abbiamo scelto questa struttura basandoci sulle recensioni molto positive, che purtroppo hanno creato aspettative non rispecchiate dalla realtà. L’albergo appare trasandato e poco curato e questo ci ha fatto sentire inizialmente delusi. È vero che, per la cifra pagata, non ci si può aspettare molto, ma durante il viaggio abbiamo soggiornato in altre strutture dello stesso prezzo decisamente più curate e accoglienti. Va però sottolineata la grande gentilezza del proprietario: notando la nostra delusione, si è subito mostrato disponibile e ci ha assegnato un’altra camera, più luminosa e con vista sul Nilo, gesto molto apprezzato. Nel complesso, l’esperienza non ha rispecchiato le recensioni eccellenti lette, anche se la disponibilità del proprietario resta il punto di forza della struttura.

The host / manager was extremely nice , hospitable and always there for our inquiries and help. It’s a simple bedroom , clean and suitable for 2/3 nights stay. The placement is amazing littéraly 5 min from the public boat ferry. Once again I’d like to thank the host for taking good care of me and my dad and always offering tea and coffee and even a room to put our luggage in after we checked out from ours .

La struttura affaccia sul Nilo, ha una bella terrazza dove fare una colazione o assaggiare uno dei piatti preparati da Esraa, io ho cenato due volte. Gli spostamenti sono comodi, il battello costa solo 15;lire egiziane andata e ritorno. Camera spaziosa, silenziosa, materasso molto comodo, pulitissimo.

Vanaf het Balkon had ik Uitzicht op de Nijl, vanaf dakterras was er nog beter uitzicht !! Het ontbijt was goed. = voldoende ! Service was perfect, koffie was er zodra we dat vroegen, daarbij kregen we ook vaak fruit. Mahmdouh was een gezellige gastheer en zorgde goed voor ons.

Uiterlijk van het gebouw en de lelijke entree is geen leuke binnenkomer, maar eenmaal binnen op 1e verdieping was alles netjes. En het uitzicht vanaf het dakterras maakte alles goed.

Skvělí přístup majitele. Přijel jsem neočekávaně brzy a nemohl mi v daný čas nabídnout malý pokoj, který jsem si objednal, nechal mi za stejnou cenu větší pokoj s lepším výhledem na obě noci. Také krásný výhled na řeku a Luxorský palác.

The room was so spacious. The beds were comfortable and a difference from other hotels in Egypt they have a full set of sheets. The hotel and room were so clean and the owner so helpful and respectful. 100% recommend

Honestly is about three things one the location next to the ferry, the cheap and comfortable accomodation, and third the owner “Mambo” who is kind and helpful, he tries to help you arrange things but also not pushy and does not feel weird if you opt for another thing. In addition he was super kind as we had a late bus to leave Luxor, and helped us being the most comfortable we could!

La habitación esta limpia y es cómoda. Nos vinieron a buscar a la estación de bus. Contratamos con el dueño el paseo del globo aerostático que es una experiencia imperdible y maravillosa. También nos ayudaron con nuestro viaje a Abu simbel en un auto privado en el horario que a nosotras nos convenía. La ubicación está muy bien porque está cerca del Valle de los reyes. Estuvo todo perfecto

El desayuno podría mejorar. Nos sentimos un poco incómodas en cuento a la insistencia de querer vendernos siempre algo más, pero eso es así en todo Egipto

房间比想象中还要大，可以住三四个人，价格实惠，性价比不错。距离西岸轮渡码头很近，走路三分钟。

The host is a very nice guy, positive and funny. We came close to midnight, but he was waiting for us and offered a welcome drink, that was exactly on time! The room was big and comfortable, the location was great, close to the public ferry. Breakfast is standard, but accompanied with a fantastic view to Nil. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was in very good location near the ferry terminal at the westbank. The room was big and clean and for a good value. Mamdouh the host was very friendly and like a big brother for me!! He helped me organize tours for me, recommendations about navigating through luxor, making my trip to luxor memorable. Also the hotel has great view of the Nile river at the rooftop and also from room.

I didn't stay there due to the facility condition

Mamduh, the stuff very friendly, very clean, very spacious, very welcoming. I was ill and he helped me a lot by providing space to cook ad rest. Very good price for the value. He has many cooperations with tours that offer a lot of attractive packages. Mamduh was very talkative and funny.

очень удобно расположен, до парома 3 минуты пешком. рядом много кафе. самый центр. Мамбо - очень приятный и весёлый хозяин отеля, который помог нам забронировать экскурсии по хорошей цене и организовал такси к автобусу. Все было прекрасно. Сочетание цена - качество - идеально. Белье было чистое.

Mandouh was the highlight of our stay he was very helpful and accomodating, our breakfast with view with nile river is our favorite part, best breakfast prepared by mandouh.

Very hospitable staff, they make you feel right at home! The location was right next to the public ferry and there are many great Egyptian restaurants nearby. I enjoyed the rooftop.

Nile Roof and Restaurant Hotel has a great location right by the Nile, offering beautiful views. The staff were really helpful and made the stay feel very welcoming.

Perfect location....just 2 mins away from ferry point (google Maps doesn't show correctly, but it is literally 2 mins walk) Amazing view from the view...room facing nile. Clean room with bathtub. The view for this price is unbeatable. Highly recommend river facing room. Owner Mandouh is helpful and nice. If you are looking for accommodation on the west side, go for it. Highly recommend it.

Best experience in Luxor. Beautiful view. Spectacular rooms, close to restaurants and convenience store.They can also help you with your trips around Luxor. Very friendly and hospitable staff, and from my personal experience, the owner is very helpful, kind, and if i would be bold to add caring. In my years of travelling, I can surely say that there are not many people like him in this industry .May God bless him and his family

Mamdouh is absolutely amazing! We felt truly welcome from the moment we arrived! His attention to guests is truly special, always with kindness and care. The customer service is exceptional, and the value for money is excellent. The mattresses could be a bit more comfortable, and the building’s exterior needs some work, which has temporarily closed the restaurant (I hope they can sort it out soon). The area is great, with plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. They don’t advertise breakfast, but we were pleasantly surprised with some bread, coffee, and fruit, a really nice touch! The Wi-Fi works, but only for text messages (Egypt style!). Mamdouh’s warmth and dedication truly made the stay memorable!

The owner of the homestay is very nice and enthusiastic. We arrived in the early morning, and the owner has been waiting for us. He also introduced us to the room balcony and breakfast is provided. The location is also very good. It takes a few minutes to walk to the ferry by boat.

The Hotel is close to Pier and the main facilities. The rooms are spacious and clean. The owner suggested me a hot air balloon flight and it was an amazing experience.

Good hot shower, basic as expected for the price we paid but clean. Roof top overlooking the river Nile. Literally 2 min to the ferry to cross the river on the other side. Helpful staff. We were two females, felt safe and taking care off. The hotel arranged a car to meet us at the airport very late into the night at a very reasonable price. Staff is friendly.

There was a building work taking place in front of the hotel that was a bit noisy and I didn’t see it mentioned on the description when made a booking. However it didn’t bother as much as we were out for the whole days until the sun was down. The breakfast was more like a small snack, but again for the price we paid I was surprised we got any breakfast! And the owner was able to get for us extra bits from the local shop at our request. I wanted yogurt and he bought for us locally made most delicious ’fresh milk yogurt’ I ever tried! It was great to suck up the morning sun on the rooftop and enjoy hot coffee and yogurt 😊

I had a fantastic stay at Nile rooftop. The staff truly made all the difference—hassan and his staff was incredibly friendly, always ready to help, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable experience. From the warm welcome at check-in to the thoughtful assistance throughout my stay, their hospitality was top-notch. Whether it was offering local recommendations, arranging transportation, or simply greeting with a smile, their kindness and professionalism stood out. It’s rare to find such a dedicated and attentive team, and they made me feel at home.

The hotel has a stunning view of the Nile and the historic center of Luxor. It is located on the other bank of the river, with quick, affordable access via a 24-hour ferry. The area is safe, and the riverside surroundings are being fully renovated. We had several tours organized by the hotel team, all of which were excellent, including trips to other cities.

Due to construction on the street, the access to the hotel was a bit tricky, almost hidden. To enter, we had to pass through an adjacent property. The hotel doesn’t have direct access to the street and is located further in, but this didn’t affect the logistics after the first entry.

The location is not ideal. It is not in the touristic region, more in the local city. Even though we did not had any security problem, we were safe. But if you are sensitive in that sense, choose somewhere more central. However the owner is very helpful, always in reach, organise many things for you. He picked us up upon arrival. Even though we are late. The hotel is clean.

Easy to find, clean basic rooms, great breakfast! Wonderful friendly staff, thank you for looking after us 😁
