We had a very comfortable stay. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They responded quickly to every request, even arranging medicine when needed. The room was clean, hot water was available at all times, and housekeeping promptly cleaned the room or dried the bathroom whenever we asked. The breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we truly appreciated the hospitality. It was definitely value for the money.

The tea can be improved

Our families 3rd trip to the Taj Fountain Hotel in Mahabaleshwar was wonderful, we enjoyed the stay in the beautiful foggy heavenly weather and special thanks to all the staff especially Ms.Trupti and Ms. Apeksha in the reception for their kind services, also thanks to Mr. Aniket and other restaurant staff for their kind services and delicious food. Most memorable stay in the foggy heavens with beautiful rains and good hospitality.

Every interaction reflected genuine hospitality and professionalism. Chef Shashank and the culinary team served delicious meals with great attention to taste and presentation, while the entire staff especially Sairaj ensured we felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Amazing location, vast and well maintained property. Staff is polite and helpful. Food taste is good. Lot of options to roam around and do within property. Offers excellent views.

The breakfast spread was very elaborate and sumptuous, the rooms and cleanliness in general was excellent. The staff was very proactive, helpful and polite. The location as well was top notch.

Food - The food for dinning needs to improve dramatically. Tasteless, Blend & expensive. You can realise as there was hardly anyone for lunch! It is pet friendly hotel so those who do not like pets can decide! Important for Senior Citizens - There are rooms where you may have to climb stairs - so confirm at the time of reservation!

The place offers a wide spread of breakfast, very fresh and delicious , the chef shasank took a personal interest in each and every client to make sure they were attended and served. The staff took care of all the demands from all the guests . We enjoyed every single day with such an amazing hospitality. I would like to give shoutout to Dinish, Tamulima,phiyama,aniket,sneha,Brian,Anrut and vaishnavi for their exceptional service and hospitality.

The head of housekeeping Mr Shivang and support staff Trupti where specifically very nice to us. Our pet 'Tabby' had a nice as well :)

The menu / spread at the breakfast buffet is very limited when compared to similar properties in the area. The house keeping in the common areas is not good and there was garbage lying around

Cost is way to high for the property which they are offering . Housekeeping staff were not so prompt , need to work on that.

The team at breakfast was fantastic. They were attentive and very sweet, despite the obnoxious customers around them. Despite the busy time, the team managed to get everything in order. The views from the restaurant are lovely.

We checked in late, and because there was a wedding party that had bought out the whole hotel, we were rushed. The team was argumentative and kept saying that guests would yell at them. While late checkouts aren't ever guaranteed, telling 1 guest that you prioritize others isn't quite nice. The hotel clearly caters to weddings a lot; and I'd skip this property if you're seasoned traveler. The crowd is typically boorish, and rude, and will end up ruining the whole vibe. The hotel team is clearly overwhelmed. When we checked it, housekeeping carts were in the lobby of our building, while people were yelling and shouting at 9.30pm in the night.

Everything . It is a small and lively propoerty , very well maintained. The view from the room was lovely .

It is in close proximity with nature so expect langurs and insects right outside/ inside your rooms .

The staff are excellent. Particularly, Mr. Satya, Chef Shashank, Tanulima, Aniket and Anish. All were super efficient and friendly. Food is great! Recommended to try their dinner and breakfast combo package. Great view of the valley. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Overall a great staycation location.

The rom in the night good full of mosquitoes even when the balcony was closed. Extra bed wasn't conformable.

Great location and very friendly and cooperative staff. They have one on one staff assigned and you can call them and get things fixed if any issue. Manisha was very cooperative right from the beginning in room allocation and explaining the details of the property

Maybe it was just a coincidence that in our two night stay we had to call the housekeeping and maintenance staff several times. For internet, set top box, washroom flush etc. Response was super prompt though.

Stay was superb. But some food items in the buffet were not piping hot, including the soup

Great staff, really pet friendly. Doggie beds & toiletries. Rooms were lovely and comfortable. Food was decent and high tea was nice. Got a good recommendation for a trek from the hotel.

Room didn't have a nice view (even garden view could be nicer.) Lawn was swamped during the rain. Pets are 3k per pet per night so a bit steep. No covered seating area for Pets so in rains (which was all the time) they had to be left behind or someone in the family left out for meals. Not the Hotel's fault, but local toll collection caused a 40min traffic jam into Mahabaleshwar. Pls can hotels get together to stop this, eg charge the amount as part of the bill send receipts, but not let locals hold up all the traffic for so long.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Fountain Mahabaleshwar! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel special with their fantastic service and always-smiling faces. A big thanks to Tanulima and Manisha for their warm hospitality, and to Mahendra from the restaurant team who went above and beyond—he not only checked on us but also served food options that weren’t part of the buffet. The property itself is beautifully designed with good architecture and a perfect location that makes it very convenient for exploring Mahabaleshwar. The entire place is spotlessly clean, and the facilities are excellent—especially for kids, with plenty of fun games and activities to keep them entertained. Dining was another highlight—breakfast and meals had a wide variety of delicious options, and the staff ensured everything was perfect. Room service was lightning fast, and the valet and parking were seamless, making the stay stress-free. What stood out the most was the politeness and ever-smiling nature of the entire staff, which truly made our experience memorable. If I were to suggest one small improvement, it would be to add more non-vegetarian options to the menu. Overall, a perfect family getaway and an experience we’d love to repeat. Highly recommended!

Everything was absolutely fantastic , the service , hospitality, stay , was perfect . Special thanks to a few people who made our stay excellent . Ms. Manisha ,chef Shashank who served us the phenomenal Apple tea and a small desert for breakfast . Mr. Mahendra who took care of our order , ms. Jessica was fantastic too . Amazing staff i had travelled with my son, i called middle of the night for medical emergency n they helped me a lot very helpful staff i must say i m so thankful and grtful for you guyz had a amazing experience.

Breakfast spread was good but the dining Area is too small and gets very crowded.

There was a big group that was extremely noisy and spoilt the decorum of the place.

The location was awesome. We were in the clouds most of the time. weather was beautiful. Property was really good, with all the amenities functional and new. Staff was super helpful, polite and prompt.

Excellent Hotel wot great staff. food was awesome. The only negative was we are lunch outside at 2pm, and we passed our table twice, at 5pm and 6pm, and we noticed that it had not been cleaned. Even the bow that my pet had used was not washed till evening.

dinner was below average , specially for TAJ . the quality was poor and the taste . one more thing: we got the room at 2.45 pm and we did not complain. but for check out time I was called twice within 30 min to collect the luggage. also they have a conference and wedding coming up which means lot of workers and movement of vehicle and people disrupting the peace. so do not go when they have weddings and conferences. also at the price the value for money is lower

Pleasantly surprised with the property. It has been modernized in a very professional manner. all facilities, rooms, food service, room service, concierge, front desk are very well trained. spa services also also top rung, if not the best in comparison with other 5 star spa brands. no complaints at all in any aspect of the hotel.

this is not a complaint, but it would be nice to have a hotel car to move around in the vicinity.

as we had a pet we were told to sit outside Alfressco , this was good , but service outside is poor . delayed service , no cutlry , no water on time , afterdinner i requested hot water for drinking they couldnt arrange .
