Alora Guesthouse in Tetebatu was honestly one of the nicest places we stayed during our trip. The guesthouse itself is beautiful peaceful and feels incredibly authentic but what truly made our stay special was Fariz the best host ever! ❤️ We 100% recommend doing the guided village walk and having an authentic local lunch with Fariz. It was one of the most genuine and memorable experiences we had in Indonesia. Getting to explore the village meet locals learn about the culture and enjoy a delicious homemade local meal made the experience so much more meaningful. Fariz was incredibly kind welcoming knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Thank you so much Fariz for everything and for giving us one of the best and most authentic experiences of our trip. We will definitely never forget it! If you’re staying in Tetebatu Alora Guesthouse is a must! 100% recommended! 🌿❤️ Thank you from betty & jeremy ☺️

it was very clean and spacious. The surrounding were awesome and you had a great view.
Very Top Situated in between the ricefield. Very very kind people hosting the Alora.
The hot water was after 5 minutes of showering empty
Faris was so helpful in arranging a taxi transfer and giving us some local information. Rossi let us use a bike to go get dinner which we really appreciated. Very comfy bed!
Tetebatu prachtig
Host sprak amper Engels toen we aankwamen
We loved staying at Alora house! It’s such a gorgeous location, surrounded by nature and rice fields. Faris, the host, is the sweetest and we miss him already. He was so accommodating, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys having people stay there. We had some really great conversations, and he gave us some great recommendations on where to eat and find good coffee. We rented scooters and rode all around the neighborhoods and different little towns. So much fun! It’s very peaceful there, just be prepared for the Muslim call the prayer at 5am! If you aren’t ready to wake up at that time, ear plugs are a good idea. We loved our stay, and were very comfortable!
This was our favorite spot of our 25 day lombok roundtrip! The king room has a beautiful view and a hammock to relax in. The room was nice and clean and the location is perfect for visiting the waterfalls, rice terraces or just enjoying the silence and beauty of tete batu. Also the breakfast was delicious. Faris was always helpful and made the stay perfect - apart from that we made a new friend and hope we can come back some day! We definitely recommend staying here for a few nights.
Sangat recommended! ✨
The place and the room were very beautiful and bright.
The cleanliness was on borderline. The room itself was clean, but the shower was not maintained. There was residue on the walls, cigarette butts in the flowerpot. I admit that the place is quiet all year round. But we stayed during Ramadan. It was practically impossible to sleep because the Ramadan events take place at night and are very loud.
The house and the location were beautiful and the breakfast was amazing!!

Super verblijf!
- staff was exceptionally kind and one of them spoke perfect English and German. He was happy to give recommendations for what to do for the day (no need to hire a local guide, you can easily do everything yourself). Unless you’re really into local craft making, We’d recommend skipping the bamboo making attraction, it’s less about culture and more about getting you to buy stuff. - king room on the top floor was really nice and had an awesome terrace with a beautiful view in the netted seating. I’d recommend adding some chairs up there. - not too close to a mosque so you won’t hear it loudly in the night. You will still hear it a bit but that’s everywhere. - the breakfast is AMAZING. the fruit and fruit juice plus your choice of dish is filling and so so tasty. Free water refill throughout your stay. They don’t serve dinner but they offered to have food delivered if you don’t want to leave in the evenings. - location is great if you are looking for somewhere quiet, with a view, and away from all the other tourists. You need a scooter to get around or I guess you could hire a driver($?). The roads are pretty good and you can actually walk to a lot of waterfalls and rice fields. About a 5-7 minute drive to a village with stores and warungs.
- hot water in the shower is pretty limited…. - the wifi didn’t really work the entire time
Nice, comfortable and clean houses! 🤩
Fabuleux
Large room with a beautiful view of the rice paddies and mountain. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff!
No bin in the bedroom or bathroom, otherwise great!
Tusen Tack Roby!
Beautiful place to stay and delicious breakfast! 😍 🍉
Quiet cottages in the middle of the rice fields, at walking distance from the waterfalls, Tetebatu rice fields and monkey forest. Very comfortable bed and clean room
The breakfast was very poor (ordered eggs and toast, ended up with 1,5 egg and toast with no butter or anything to eat with it). Service was very slow and the team was watching stories on social media with loud speakers … not very relaxing nor professional. We felt like we had to chase our host for information (for WiFi, breakfast, water refill etc)
Alora House must be the best place to stay in Tetebatu. The view from the place is just stunning! Robbie is super friendly, he does a great walking tour around Tetebatu. The breakfast is very nice. Our room was spacious and light, with a comfy bed and a small fridge. They rent out good quality scooters. It is a bit far from restaurants at night, however Robbie can order food for you which is so convenient! We absolutely loved staying here.
Just some small points to improve, overall it was great: Breakfast was great, but the wait was quite long. The stones in the shower are a nice idea but very uncomfortable. A little seat in front of our room would have made our stay even better!
J: I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I spent 2 incredible nights. Alora house lays in the middle of the rice fields. The view from the terrace of the room is beautiful and gives a great look of the nature surrounding the property. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom is outside which adds charm to the place. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Roby (host and guide) and the Alora team who played a huge role in our stay. Roby was a great guide, listening to our expectations, cultivated, funny and super musician. I learned a lot about Tetebatu. In the morning breakfast was brought on the terrace of the room, I recommend the banana pancake: it was delicious! 🤤 M: Alora house is amazing! It is a quiet, magical place surrounded by nature. The house is great, clean, spacious and fits so well with its surrounding. Roby has been the most fantastic guide, showing us around in the area of Tetebatu and really taking his time for us. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Alora house. Would love to come back again!
Amazing location and room! The staff is just the best; very friendly and accommodating. The tour they provide is really fun, local, and we learned so much from it! The breakfast was amazing, best we had.
The bathroom is outdoor, not a problem at all but there will be some insects 😄
Good size room and bathroom
I wouldn't recommend, the staff provide poor service particularly when we hired bike and they charged extra night then claiming its nothing to do with them its another company. Their taxi driver they organised for us to get ro the port was terrible and uncomfortable with no air con, when raising this with them they simply said they have nothing to do with it even though we ordered the service from them. Some training on customer service and accountability is something these people working in the hospitality business would benefit from - instead of looking at guests like they are stupid because they are foreign.
The highlight was definitely Robi, the local guide that works here. My wife and i went with him on village and waterfall tours and it was definitely worth it. He can explain everything in nice detail and he showed us the local life. The house looks very nice and cozy, we had a pleasant stay. Everything went well. It is a secluded area, so there are not many restaurants around. We did not have a bike, so we ordered some food from Robi.
The shower is not covered so we were not able to take a shower during the rain. Sometimes the mosque callings can wake you up, but Lombok is a muslim island. Other than that it was really good!
Great stay in the heart of Tetebatu. Cute houses with a large bed and a shower outside which is nice. Roby was a great host and showed us around the villages and through the ricefields. Food options are limited (we were there during Ramadan) but ordering through Roby went well and food tasted great!
The outside seating area on the porch could be a bit more comfortable.
The room is very nicely designed. It was clean. The staff was very kind and helpful, they were addressing all our requests and questions. You can also rent scooter at the property and they will arrange you a driver as well if needed.
I am not a big fan of outside bathrooms because of insects. The property is at the end of a street, you will need scooter to access the city and prepare for some walk.
The privacy of room. Especially enjoyed the cats knocking at door to sleep with us🌺
Need access to additional water at night
Everything good Very clean and comfortable At this area it’s a diamond
Great little homestay, clean and modern room with lovely decor. Great value for money and lovely view of the rice fields from the property.
The location is very nice. The room is new and comfortable and clean.
I enjoyed everything about this place :)
The host Robie was a great guy helping us to rent a scooter, giving us tips where to go and the breakfast was just amazing.
The hospitality was amazing, robi was an amazing host with a great attitude. The breakfast was also really great. We were the only guests there during low season so we were really well taken care of
Mosques that were a bit annoying, but hey we were in a muslim country, they are everywhere.
Our stay at Alora House in Teta Batu, Lombok was nothing short of incredible. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy bungalow that felt like a home away from home. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the friendly feline residents, Bruno and Tristan. Bruno, the wise and gentle grey and white cat, and Tristan, the playful and energetic orange kitten, quickly became part of our family. Roby, a truly exceptional staff member, made our experience even more memorable. His infectious laughter, intelligence, and passion for Lombok's natural beauty were contagious. He guided us through breathtaking rice fields, cascading waterfalls, charming local villages, and the enchanting black monkey forest. The food at Alora House was simply divine. Both breakfast and dinner were a culinary delight, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and expertly prepared dishes. The bungalow itself was impeccably clean and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a day of adventure. Overall, our stay at Alora House was an immersive and incredibly positive experience. We highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking a tranquil and authentic Lombok getaway. We can't wait to return and reunite with our furry friends and the wonderful staff at Alora House.
Friendly and helpful operator Very good tour - we learned a lot about locals, agriculture, plants and culture Clean and comfy rooms with aircon, good breakfast and dinner
Dinner takes some time to prep but is very good
wow, that was my reaction in seeing such a beautiful place. The rooms are perfect, the location is impeccable, and the staff is 10/10. The best place to stay in Tetebatu!
In spite of a short stay, interactions with staff have been fun. Thanks Roby for his kindness and hospitality. Accommodations are well maintained and in good condition. Bonus are 2 cute cats, who are happy to play with guests. Would be happy to come back to explore more in Tetebatu next time.
It is a little difficult to reach by car because of the narrow and mountain roads. To get around, scooters and motorcycles are more suitable. And visitors need to get prepared for mosquitoes.
Very quiet, very clean and you have a lot of space in the room. The houses are really new. The host is incredibly helpful too.
The guest house is lovely and very charming! The room is super big and very comfortable and the decoration really cute. We loved the area because it is very authentic and you get to meet local people who are really welcoming. The hotel guide Robi was amazing. We spent the day with him and he showed us around (rice terrasse, waterfall, monkey forest, village etc) They also have 2 very cute cats at the hotel, our children loved it. The food is already really good and really affordable. We were really happy with our stay thanks !
I recently had the pleasure of staying 4 nights at this hidden gem in Tete Batu, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best accommodations I've experienced in Lombok. I couldn't find any other place as beautiful and tranquil as this one, and the price is unbelievably affordable. From the moment we arrived, the host, Robi, made us feel right at home. He was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to assist us, from renting a scooter at a fair price to offering valuable advice on what to visit nearby and planning our itinerary. His hospitality truly made our stay memorable. The room itself was spacious, boasting a minimalistic modern design that felt both cozy and stylish. It had everything we needed, including a desk perfect for remote work. While the internet was a bit spotty at times, it was manageable and didn’t detract from our overall experience. The bed was exceptionally comfortable – we had some of the best sleep during our trip here. A standout feature was the outdoor bathroom, which was not only beautifully designed but also functional, with good water pressure and hot water. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was absolutely delicious, setting us up perfectly for a day of exploration. Additionally, the small cooking area on-site provided tasty dishes whenever we wanted a meal. The accommodation is quite new, which might explain why there aren’t many reviews yet, but trust me, this place deserves all the praise. It’s truly a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Tete Batu area. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Lombok!
They have done a wonderful job creating these new bungalows. We felt perfectly relaxed and got the best sleep for the entire trip. Very quiet and lovely views. Days were spent on simply walking to waterfalls, through the rice fields etc. Very relaxing
I stayed for 3 nights here and enjoyed it a lot! The Hotel is brand new and of course in really good shape! Location: Located in the middle of rice fields with beautiful view! Nevertheless, if you want to explore the surrounding villages and nature you need a driver or a scooter since in tetebatu there is no public transport. Room: Definitely the most beautiful rooms I have has during my travel! The room is extraordinary large and beautiful designed! The bed is really large and comfy (soft). You have a nice terrace where breakfast is served and chill. Service: The hotel arranged for me a scooter as well as helmet for a fair price and both in good condition. The hotel is having an own tourguide. I booked with him a day-trip through rice fields as well as waterfalls and on the other day a visit of traditional local markets as well as traditional village. He is really professional and patient! He is explaining a lot and without rush and taking really good care about his guest and making sure for high quality and making the most out of the trip. Food: You have the possibility to enjoy really good local food in the hotel. The employees cook it freshly and big portion. I liked the food a lot and all days within my stay dinner at the hotel. THANKS for everything, I enjoyed it a lot!

This property is INCREDIBLE. The room is so large, and clean and lush! The outdoor bathroom and hot water is luxurious. The bed is soft and huge. The outdoor dining and balcony is beautiful. The addition of slippers is lovely. The staff are so friendly and helpful and caring. Some of the best hospitality I’ve had in the whole of Indonesia. Seriously. The view and surrounding nature is so peaceful too. I cannot wait for more people to experience this beautiful place and the beautiful people that work here.
the place just opened and they have the friendliest staff, including a chef, who prepares delicious meals. one of the two cats always makes sure, that you are ok, as she comes by multiple times a day to meow her stories to you for a minute 😁 the bathroom features an open rain shower, so you can see the stars at night. even, if you don't plan any guided tours or getting a scooter, you can still enjoy the landscape in close proximity. at least two beautiful waterfalls and the rice terrases of course. very quiet at night.
Alora House it’s a perfect place surrounded by the most beautiful landscapes. Really, it’s fantastic. Moreover, Robin, Abi, Rosi and The cooker they make you feel at home! We cooked with them Garu Garu and Curry, we organized a fantastic guided tour around Tetebatu area, and we had many laughs together. Definitely, We will come again! The room is clean, nice. It has all you can need. And the breakfast they offer was so nice. Don’t think too much and booked there because it’s an immersion experience!
It's a new accomodation, we were the second guests. It was stunning, the room was very big and clean, and the staff was so nice! Very friendly and helpful. The nature around the accomodation is amazing. The accomodation arranged a walking tour through the rice fields and waterfalls and a cooking class. We had an amazing stay thanks to this. Also, best banana pancakes I've had in Indonesia so far :).
The accommodation is brand new, we were the first guests in one of the Bungalows. They are very spacious and modern. Everything was spotlessly clean. The garden is very beautiful and the view from the terrace is great, because you see all those great palm trees and rice fields. The staff was super nice and welcoming and we had the best (and biggest!) fresh coconut as a welcome drink. They speak very good English and could help us with everything - they even helped us with the speedboat booking from Senggigi and driver for excellent price. We would definitely stay there again!
