Bay of Islands Apartment with Marina Views

This apartment on the waterfront had exceptionally stunning views of the whole bay. Beautifully furnished inside, it also felt like 5 star hotel! It also came with everything you need for a home away from home. We would definitely recommend it to anyone staying here! I will definitely be booking again next time we come up. Thanks again John!

The apartment is in a great location, close to the car ferry and a good cafe, small supermarket/liquor store, fish and chip shop and restaurant's all within walking distance. The downstairs living area is spacious and very well equipped with one of the bathroom's downstairs. There was and a clean BBQ on the balcony as well as good outdoor furniture. The master bedroom has an amazing view over the marina. There are no curtains on the master bedroom windows which ment we could not change in the bedroom and it was very light early in the morning. The master bed room does NOT have a door so privacy was an issue as we were staying with our friends. The second bedroom is extremely small and narrow and our friends struggled with the small space. The upstairs bathroom also had a washing machine and dryer. The apartment would work best for a family with smaller children. The apartment was modern, very clean and the linen was top quality. We loved our stay as the positives outweighed the negatives.

What more can I say with the score I have given but it was beautiful and restful.

Beautiful 2-story showcase dwelling on a picturesque marina in the gorgeous waters of Opua Marina in the Bay of Islands. Upstairs is even more stunning with the cathedral windows that allow you to wake to the Eastern sunrise. This is heaven 🌊🩵💙

Only the keyless systems, which I know are par for the course now, I just find them finicky sometimes.

Generous living space with lots of seating, amazing marina views, super quiet, great access to the Bay of Islands, good coffee next door - delivered on all fronts.

The twin room is really small, fine for kids but not ideal for adults. The main room doesn’t have a door, works best for family staying together.

The only problem we had was entering the main building as a number of times we needed to re enter the code to unlock the door. Entering the apartment itself was fine

Beautiful apartment, well equipped and very clean. View from balcony was lovely and we loved the surroundings, location and nearby facilities. Also very peaceful.

The 2nd bedroom is probably more appropriate for 2 children rather than 2 adults as height and space quite restricted. However it did not detract from this lovely place

Lovely apartment, looked just like if not better than the pictures! Marina views were stunning and lovely balcony with gas BBQ that we really enjoyed. Location was perfect for exploring Northland especially Waitangi treaty grounds, Paihia and Russell.

The property was beautiful, with stunning views.

The only thing that wasn’t quite perfect about this place was the downstairs kitchen. Under the sink, the pipes were duck-taped together to stop a leak, which was causing an interesting smell. The master bedroom was lovely and had amazing views, but it lacked a door and blinds to cover the main window. The second bedroom wasn’t quite big enough for two older adults; it was more suited for two little ones.

How it was clean,the rooms and bathrooms were good,spacious kitchen,the balcony was huge,you had no interruptions from any neighbour's was quiet as even thou it's in the Marina.Awesome views from the living and main bedroom.Close to the ferry so if you wanted to you could take the car ferry over to Russell for a day trip.

I think the only problem i had was the door leading into the building i had to like have 3 or more tries just about everytime we left there to go somewhere.

loved the views from kitchen/lounge and upstairs close to coastal trail. noticed that little bugs cone in after dark so need to close openings facing marina in the evenings.

Great location with wonderful views, a good cafe/restaurant & a local boating club which offers meals, all in walking distance. Fantastic access to the walk from Opua to Paihia, about an hour, 15 minutes.

Second bedroom is fine for one adult or two children but wouldn’t work for two adults as it’s too small & with sloping ceilings.

Could not fault the apartment. Beautiful views spotlessly clean. Clear instructions. Will definitely be back. Awesome hosts. Thank you.

It was spacious, and comfortable. Nice balcony and outlook. Well equipped kitchen, having a bathroom at both levels.

The attic style bedrooms upstairs with the bed close to the sloping ceiling, and the exposed beams, a little concerning when going to the bathroom during the night. The bathrooms had no towel rack or anywhere suitable to hang them. No hand towel in the kitchen. There was a scheduled power outage for most of the second day of our stay, which the management claimed not to know about, although the neighbouring property knew 4 days before and the restaurant nearby too. It was quite inconvenient as we were preparing to attend a wedding, ( not ours)

The sleeping arrangements require consideration: the main upstairs bedroom lacks a door and window coverings, resulting in very early morning light and limited privacy (not ideal for a vacation). The second bedroom, though private, is quite compact, has limited storage areas, no outside views, and is better suited for young children than teens or adults.

Absolutely stunning location and views. Apartment was very comfortable and loved the decking.

The apartment has been set up to take advantage of the amazing views however too light upstairs with no curtains or blinds to block out sunshine in early mornings. Upstairs was also hot so really needs better fan or AC. Second bedroom was on the smaller side.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at this apartment! The place exceeded all expectations – it was even better than the photos. The apartment was very well equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view of the harbour was breathtaking, and the location was quiet and relaxing. One of the best parts was the free parking, making our stay even more convenient. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our Christmas celebration here truly special. We loved every moment of our stay! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay!

One small area for improvement would be to add a privacy screen on the window on the upper floor. This addition would enhance the overall comfort and privacy of the space.

We loved the excellent location and the apartment was absolutely gorgeous with amazing outlook onto the marina and a lovely patio to sit on. The view from the double bed is outstanding. It was lovely to arrive to milk and chocolate and water bottles in the fridge, just what we needed.

The pillows were not comfortable and I had a bit of a still neck. My friend found the same in her bed. It's just a maintenance issue but the upstairs shower door kept sliding open and the sliding door into the upper bathroom is really stiff.

For what we were doing, sailing, the location was great. Pretty small village for "just hanging out."

Location is awesome. Exceptional view could easily sit and relax anywhere in the apartment with a coffee and the view. Kids loved the place also.

Probably just needed an outside rubbish facility as we just stored our rubbish bags on the balcony. Other than that the place was perfect for us. Cheers

The unit was absolutely fantastic, if it’s peace and quiet you are wanting this is your place to stay. The unit is fresh with ample comfortable furnishings and appliances. The bed was so comfortable. The view of the marina from both downstairs and the main bedroom is excellent, so calming. There is a cafe and take away shop and general store within easy walking distance. The Russell ferry is almost at your doorstep and all local attractions are close by. This is one of the best places we have stayed in. Lovely little laid back town. We are so glad we chose here. 10 out of 10. A big well done to the owners you should be very proud of your unit.

Amazing apartment on the Opua Marina. Awesome view on the boats. Everything is high quality : equipment, furniture, appliances, comfort ... The location is very good too, not far from Paihia.

If we are picky, we could say the sofa bed mattress is not the best one. It is fair enough but regarding the high level of this appartement, the quality is lower.

I was mesmerized by the panoramic view of the marina from my room. The decor was also fresh and contemporary, and the rooms were spotless. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a modern and stylish place to stay with stunning views.

There was nothing we didn't like but would make 2 suggestions.. Make available a compendium that explains how thing work such as microwave an under floor heating and supplement kitchenware with egg cups.

One of the best situated and equipped apartments I have stayed in

Everything about the property was superb. The absolute water frontage was amazing, lots of little details such as complimentary chocolates in the fridge, nespresso pods were made available for use with the nespresso machine, cleanliness was exceptional and accessibility to convenience stores and food was excellent for us.

My only comment would be that the bathrooms were quite small for the size of the apartment and somewhat awkward, but overall everything was very high quality and beautifully fitted out with full kitchen facilities and washing / drying facilities was a huge bonus.

Second bedroom was small for adults but would be fine for children. Not much privacy in master bedroom, no curtains and no door. The plug wasn’t working in on bathroom sink but this was fixed promptly.
