The view from our room was exceptional, especially with the private balcony! The room was quiet, spacious, and well-maintained - we were not disappointed! The host was very responsive and friendly. The location is great, with a 10 minute drive from Paihia, and we would definitely recommend staying here!
Location devine. Only trouble is it was a cold evening and would have liked an rlectric blanket. But heater wa4med unit fine once i worked out how to use
Everything fab
Great location for walking to Opua (we were visiting for an event at the Opua Cruising Club). The messenging was friendly and welcoming, and our room was clean and comfortable. Really nice having the kitchenette with tea and coffee. Thank you!
Shower pressure and place was warm and clean
Fior an overnight stay it was adequate
Good location for marina
Children running around directly upstairs. Don’t think parents realise how it affects the people staying below
All you need! Very nice people!
Handy for the ferry!
Convenient to the harbor; extremely helpful owners, spotless room.
Nothing.
Lockup for our bikes
No complaints
Marnie was very friendly and approachable.. Rooms clean. Comfy beds. Good kitchen facilities. Road noise not a problem after we went to bed (I was worried as it is on the main road out of Opua). Garden area pleasant to sit in for meals. Good parking for cars (one per unit - might be a problem is there was more than one car per unit).
Wasn't aware that the rooms were not serviced until our stay - not really a problem, just a surprise. Able to get extra supplies if needed
Stanza 1 chiusa manca un giardino.
The family that run the place are very friendly The Apartments will equipped and beautifully clean The location was just perfect for us as we needed to br close to Opua harbour
Fabulous location and great view from the balcony. Richard was very hospitable and would highly recommended
Prima plek Alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt Restaurant aan de haven
Niets Alleen in de plaats zelf is niets te beleven Dan moet je naar Paihia wat 5km verder ligt
easy Check in Check out , welcoming Host, only few minutes to Paihia Wraf ,
Lovely view, clean, comfortable and ideal base when doing a Bay Of Islands boat trip.
Very convenient to the marina and we could park right in front of the room. The kitchen had all the useful equipment.
We had no problem.
Location Communication Hospitality Value for money View from top level Comfy Everything there if needed Good shower
Motel propre et efficace. Le checkin est tres facile. Le staff répond rapidement et est arrangeant. Vous êtes proches de la route, mais le logement est bien isolé donc vous n’entendez pas le trafic.
Thick Towels, bathroom water pressure, bedding including pillows, location is great as a base to explore more, kitchen facilities. It’s not flash but comfortable and the price reflected the busyness of the summer holiday season. I would have liked to stayed longer.
Although good location, there is no Seaview - our corner downstairs room had a broken screen door between room and carpark, very dark interior, having no aircon during the height of summer was a challenge with three adults in a small room. Overall we were happy to make the most of the surroundings and enjoyed a lovely long shower at the end of each day.
Comfy beds and pillows, luxurious thick white towels, easy access to more linen if required, shower pressure was great, the kitchen facilities were clean and had all the utensils that was needed for our stay. The location is a great central home base - a short walk or drive to the Ferry to Russell at the bottom of the hill or a ten minutes drive towards Paihia and Waitangi, we also explored further places including a 3.5 hour drive up to Cape Reinga. Sadly we didn't meet the actual host until the last day due the busyness of their other holiday business, however, super friendly via messaging keeping in touch, and lovely "Mum" was there on hand if required. Basically the motel is small, no fuss, convenient and friendly.
Although the unit was comfy and homely, the only downfall is - it had no aircon - we really struggled with the heat and humidity during the nights and had to use the little electric fan at all times (with closed doors due to mozzies and moths) You get used to the traffic zooming past heading to and from the ferry. A comfy stay but a tad misleading advertising as a 'boutique seaview' just not quite as expected or imagined (unless you perhaps had a room upstairs) - suggest giving this cute little motel a fresher external makeover sometime during a quieter period.
Great size room with kitchenette and excellent bathroom, shower pressure. Very clean and comfortable. Small establishment which added to a positive ambience as we ended up enjoying the company of overseas travellers, their children and resident kiwi.
Room was dark as it didn't get much light simply because of where it was positioned in the corner downstairs. Sitting outside of room in front of parked cars wasn't an option but we enjoyed shared space on grass with a glimpse of the sea instead.
Great location easy access to russell, far north an whangarei
We stayed in a 2bed room “Deck” room. Meaning it was on the second floor, with a furnished balcony, which had a beautiful view of the Bay of Islands! The unit itself was nicely laid out with the 2 bedrooms, separated from each other and the other common rooms, by a hallway with multiple doors, which increases privacy and decrease the sound. The hallway had doors to the kitchen/living room, the toilet room, and then shower room
Like most older or seaside accommodations, the place was musty. That’s always a challenge for my asthmatic wife. But she literally was able to sleep outside on the balcony (using her own sleeping bag she always brings). So. If you are like most people, and are not sensitive to “cottage mustiness”, then this is the place for you.!
View toward the bay was exactly as pictured. very beautiful and relaxing. Owners very friendly thoughtful and helpful.

Krásný výhled
Netekla ráno teplá voda
Friendly hosts, happy to help answer questions we had.
Für die Durchreise und eine Übernachtung absolut okay. Die frischen Zitronen aus dem Garten waren traumhaft!!!
Nichts Konkretes.
Very comfortable and clean. Very well equipped motel room.
Everything was top class from the rooms, to the lounge with its fireplace, to the restaurant where the meals were excellent with a good variety of choice. The serving staff were ultra friendly and helpful. A small problem with the TV was immediately sorted personally and the problem was mine not theirs.
Found it difficult to fault anything.
It just smelt real dusty like it hadn't been open for along time apart from tht it was all good
Really friendly owner who was happy to help with local places to visit. Great views from the balcony.
Was a good place clean & staff pleasent
Very friendly welcome by owner. Nice and quiet.
Friendly, just what we needed.
We had an enjoyable stay here. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The Bay of Islands is such a beautiful place. You need a car to stay here, because it is a 15 minute drive into the main township. I was a bit disappointed with the location because I expected it to be closer to the water than what it was, and what the photo suggested. This was minor though, because having a car obviousy made it easy to get to places.
A rustic cabin style property with large rooms and good sized ensuite. Several rooms available. Easy to find and well located. On a busy road ( no road noise) leading to the car ferry but with car spaces available. Room opened onto small garden with seating giving views of the bay. Room well equipped and clean. Owners lived above the property and we could hear them moving about. Hosts were friendly and helpful about the area.
Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was very clean with high quality linen. We had the best room with a lovely balcony and great view.
Had everything you would expect, comfy bed, clean, the owners were accommodating as our arrival times changed.
The toilet had a minor flow issue. But they were all good, and looked at it after we left.
Great hosts. Very friendly and helpful.

Very clean and comfortable. Location was great.
All good
Location
Good location for the activities we had planned. Quiet at night.
Uncomfortable bed and too fat pillows. Busy road in the day.
Good area
Small kitchenette meant could cook meals ourselves - close to harbour to pick up boat we hired - WiFi
Only really one small grocery shop in opau - had to drive to grocery stores and restaurants (ten min away ) - parking available but up slope from main road (which is quite quiet)
We didn't order breakfast. The location was amazing; just a five-minute drive from Waitangi, and the ferry to cross over to Russell was just down the road.
The motel met our expectations as a comfortable place to rest after a long day.
Loved my stay at this small and very friendly motel. Room was extremely comfortable and well-supplied. A little kitchenette allowed me to do a bit of cooking. I was in Opua for Sailing Week and the motel was within easy walking distance of the marina, which has a general store where I got groceries. The motel is not on the water, but has a view of the ocean and a nice outside sitting area. Marnie and Rich were quick to offer help with whatever I needed, genuinely kind, gracious, and generous. Their son is a sweetie! They added so much to my stay in Opua, I felt so at home, would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Kitchen well equipped. Clean.
Hole at end of driveway. Everything was adequate.
Well laid-out accommodation, clean and tidy, nice shower and good kitchenette. Enjoyed our stay.
Parking area is small - you may need to park across the road.
Great place - very comfortable - perfect location for exploring the Bay of Islands! Rich was a pleasure to deal with... great stay!
Probably the worst stop on our tour of New Zealand. Not sure how a motel can be called "boutique" or "Seaview". We booked our room over six months ago and I think we were given the worst room they had. We were there for 3 nights and wish it had been 1. Our bins were never emptied, there were no nets and everyone had to walk past us to get into the motel. Our "seaview" was of the car park and our room did NOT match the photos on the website. TMost disappointing
Location was great
Apart from the noise above there is nothing to complain about. Awesome people. Clean. Just great !
A lovely space with everything one needs. It's near the car ferry to Russell and only a short drive away from Paihia. Friendly owners. We loved it!
No complaints.
Very clean and well equipped. Beautiful views. Good value.
very clean
The host Rich and Marnie were amazing
The Internet on the TV didn't work much kept on stalling from tim to time
Very convenient location for the car ferry to Russell and lush outlook with bush and bird songs. Very clean. Very helpful hosts.
It is a busy road during the day although quiet at night.
Bay of Islands superb destination. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Our motel was fresh, clean, well maintained, had everything we needed and was well located for our planned activities. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times.
Very clean and well maintained for an old business.
The name is a bit deceiving .Nothing boutique about it and sea views are minimal.Book the balcony unit as from the upstairs deck you will get a sideways view of the harbour.Downstairs units would not gave any seaviews
Helpful staff. Comfy bed
Wifi was very good.
Busy road in the front of the Motel.
Owners residence upstairs was noisy. We were below.
The hosts are wonderful. Nice location. Highly recommended.
Very pleasant stay. Room was comfortable, and motel very convenient to all local area.
Owner was wonderful, cleaner a special lady. Area suited us perfectly.
Sweet little motel in Opua, just up the hill from the marina.
There were a lot of footsteps above the room, flashing water and annoying noises from whatever machines going all night which makes sleeping difficult. Water from the shower leaked through the whole washroom every time we take showers which keeps the floor very wet. There was no stopper for the sink in the bathroom. Only one light works in the bathroom.
Little bit noisy with ferry traffic but didn’t matter during the day and was only for about 5-10 mins each time.
