Reviewed May 15, 2026Near the beach , spotlessly clean with a fantastic family running everything. Beds were super comfy , bathroom was nothing short of superb and the balcony was spacious and with very comfy chairs .
Absolutely nothing . It was a pleasure to stay with such lovely people. Just a shame we couldn’t stay longer .

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026A very friendly homestay with clean rooms, great home cooked food and just a short walk to the beach. The rooms have a lovely balcony/outside space where you can sit and eat. I found the food to be as good as, if not better than most of the local restaurants. I spent several weeks here and felt really looked after by Amalu and her family. They are very accommodating and create a lovely atmosphere.

Unfortunately I missed to decide for the dinner-I really regret. the 2 night before I had booked annother homestay, which in direct comparision was a mistake. The quiet privacy and cleanliness in this place was far better. I recommend to stay here.

Reviewed Feb 22, 2026My stay at Salt was like visiting my favorite relatives. very comfortable room with everything I needed, amazing food, lovingly cooked by mom. As a result, I ate all my dinners there. Amalu, the daughter, was super available, solid with English , and always willing to help. One minute walk to the beach, which is lovely and endless. I’d say in the top two home stays after a month and a half of traveling Kerala.

Reviewed Jan 24, 2025First off the hosts - Amalu was an absolute delight to chat to and feel like I made a friend :-). The place itself is so serene, the outdoor space is really peaceful. It's a v short walk to the beach and the accommodation is exceptionally safe - I'm a solo female. The food was also delicious - I'm definitely making coconut pancakes in the future!! I'd highly recommend this stay to anyone in the area - thanks for a great couple of days. Only wish I'd stayed longer!

The villa was just a couple minutes walk to the beach, which was nice and quiet, perfect for a relaxing lounge. The food that Susy cooked was the best we had in the south of India! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

1. There is no vehicle access to the property. If you drive a car to the property, it has to be parked about 1/2 KM away in the open. The property has no secure parking facility.

Amalu who is organizing everything is absolutely incredible and takes great care of all her guests 🤍 The rooms are clean and the homestay is very well located! A few steps through a sand path and you are at the beach. One can find good Yoga, Backwaters tour and food at Marari. I would go back anytime!

Staff was incredibly helpful and arranged private yoga class on site, Ayurvedic spa visits and transportation. Meals were delicious and beautiful. Warm family atmosphere and lovely grounds.

Reviewed Dec 16, 2023The room was clean and near to the beach. There is lot of open space. Amalu and her mother were very helpful and kind. She answered all my queries relating to tourist places and helped me in booking the shikara ride at a reasonable price.
The room, bathroom and bed was very small. It is fine for a single person but not for a couple. This was the only issue I noted in the property. There are no good restaurants near the property.
