Had such an amazing 4 nights here. Booked this place for a babymoon. Great chalet, great spa and even greater staff. Thanks for making our break so special.

Breakfast was nice, but they got a few orders wrong, was told the breakfast is usually buffet style so not sure why it was taken as orders when I visited. Staff are lovely. Wasn't a fan of the food served at the sports bar but again this is apparently a new thing, it has room to grow.

Very firm mattress in my bedroom, didnt get the best sleep.

Every thing, the size of the resort, location, staff and the facilities. Food was beautiful too. All have a high end feel to our holiday

Distance from car to property, especially with small children (was given furthest away lodge and 2nd story lodge, even after requesting travel cot which obviously suggested small children staying), sofas not clean, bugs on ceiling, floor beginning to bend and warp making doors hard to close, floor extremely noisy when walking on.

Spacious rooms, beautifully designed, good gym and spa and excellent breakfast. The facility is well maintained and managed.

I was expecting shampoo, conditioner and shower cap.

Dirty sofa, dead flies on the floor, spider webs hanging from the ceiling, 1 radiator not working and one started beeping every second at night. All our clothes smelled like dump when we returned home. Tried calling reception about 12 times with no answer,

Cleaning is a bit of issue here. The cabins are comfortable yes but need a proper good deep clean. Breakfast was a little too disorientating, busy and disorganised.

The Resort is a great place to stay ,lots of places to see ,even with the weather not great still found things to do loved the pool.

The pool could get abit crowded some times.

When we did check in and opened first show was dirty sofa it was never clean sofa cover , i was very disappointed for cleanness for property because of when i seen my child’s room their was a 4-5 big spider on the wall and side of the bed. Both very scared and not sleeping because of spiders!! I think they never clean the room after some one use or after long time unused properly,, also room carpet it was dirty and to much smell From carpet and all windows and wall Corner spider webs I had clean my children room my self !! I did spend 4 days and 3 night paid for £980 for 3 rooms , waste our money this time holiday

Good standard lodges, pool was clean and warm, ground were well maintained

Staff were rude and clearly unable to meet demands even though it was not busy. Especially breakfast staff. The hostess was terrible, unable to keep up and when asked a question acted as though we had just ask for her to build us a palace (I asked for a spoon), one of the men serving the hot breakfast was incredibly rude also, spoke to all guests like they were an inconvenience and was very unwelcoming. Staff on the reception desk during check out again was very rude, dismissive and acting like she didnt want to be there. I feel all would benefit from customer service training and failing that go into another line of work. Lodge floor was very dirty, my crawling childrens feet were black after just a couple of minutes on the floor, there is no area to safely change younger children in the spa area which made changing after the childrens swim very difficult and dangerous

We loved the set up. It was what we looked forward to. We loved the fact we didn’t need to go out to catch enough fun- the pool, the sports bar, the cocktail bar performance, the spar…… We loved it all. We did feel at home at the accommodation, even with our little one.

The lodge was nice. The rooms were spacious. There was a microwave, fridge, toaster and plates in the kitchen. It also had a hot tub, towels and bathrobes.

Breakfast was terrible. They had someone serving hot food which was very slow. This caused long queues/wait. Also, the kitchen was slow in bringing out food(breakfast and dinner). Secondly, we went to the Sports bar/ grill restaurant. We ordered food for 3 adults and 2 children. After ordering, we realised that there was a promo that kids eat free(the promo cards were on all the tables). We asked about this and then they spoke with their manager who said this promo had ended. Mind you, there was no end date on the promo cards. They then went to remove all the cards from the table while we were there. I found this appalling, why place a promo card on the table when you know it's not valid. They refused to refund the money for the kids meals. Lastly, we were told we didn't have to book ahead for the spa. When we tried booking, they told us it was fully booked. This was very annoying

Comfortable and a nice retreat in a lovely area.

No cooker to prepare food. A few stains on carpets and furniture plus a little a mould in the bathroom. The area around the back where hot tub was situated was a little bit like waste ground do not the most relaxing.

Right. Anyone with a fear of spiders buckle up! There were soo many of them!!!! I asked my husband to kill around 10 in the whole apartment. One ( a huge black one ) fell on me during the night..😱 Not fun!! I understand we are in nature however, please put some nets to prevent these creatures from sharing the rooms with the guests. Also, there were spider webs even in the shower!! I do not think they were cleaned properly… We briefly went to breakfast. Lovely restaurant and staff. Cannot comment a lot on the food as we only had some fried eggs and pastries. Coffee not so good…

Wonderful place to stay. Everywhere was so clean. The staff were amazing and made us feel so welcome and looked after. Will definitely be returning

The pleasant views. Would be even better with the sun out but this wasnt in my control with the rainy spell. Night view was quite dreamy with view towards the multi coloured light of sky tower in Rhyl & views of Llandudno

Dusty cobwebby spdery carcasses corners of every corner of lodge & in cupboards. Found a litter one crawling on bed. Cleaners at least could have give the lodge a proper super vacuum & brush before giving to guests.

Beds were comfy, rooms were equipped, good selection of coisants and additional jams, yohurts, cereals. lounge is a nice place to relax.

The cooked breakfast was below standard , hash browns overdone both days, cheap sausages. We ate at the sports bar, appaulling food, the pizza, overcooked and hardly any toppings, chicken was smoothered in sauce, usually other places put it on the side, the pool was busy for families every time, they limit it to 8-10 and 3-5. In our apartment the main TV didn't work, 3 times we complained, third time she allowed us to use an empty apartments tv only.

The door to the original lodge we were in didn’t want to open, had one of the staff try and even then they couldn’t open it, but they swiftly moved us to another lodge which was even nicer as we had a lovely view of the seaside

The resort is set out well. I didn't use the pool, but it looked very nice and a friend who did said that the spa area was very good.

Reception staff were very friendly, but did have a tendancy to pop into the Spa reception to chat to their friend(s) - totally understandable as manning an empty reception I imagine is dull. They did always appear quickly if you were spotted!

The property was in a great location with lots of free parking access for guests, the rooms were very spacious and clean, the breakfast was fantastic with good vegetarian options (Vegetarian sausages), the gym and swimming pool access for guests was lovely and most of all the staff was very polite and helpful. Will definitely plan to stay here again on my next visit to North Wales.

The only thing I didn’t like about this property is that the 2 bedroom chalets are all on the first floor with stairs and no lifts, none on the ground floor which made it very hard for families with young children and prams.

The staff were all very nice!

The room was dirty, full of dead and live insects which were crawling the walls of the chalet. The bedding had rips and holes in it alongside insect casings in the actual sheets. The walls were splattered with dead moths and the paint was peeling all around the door. The windows of both rooms wouldn’t close and behind the hotel was some kind of rave until the early hours. Grubby and felt more like a squat than a nice spa hotel.

The rooms were a good size. The living area was lovely. The swimming pool and Steam room was lovely too. The location of the hotel was perfect if you want to see places of interest.

Breakfast was ok but not so many options. Most of the staff were not very helpful when approached. There was no heated pool (jacuzzi). Also the fixed overhead shower was not ideal considering there are younger children staying. Also was charged late check out fee by the receptionist when requested although she confirmed it was complimentary and was on the house when asked which was disappointing.

We had such a lovely stay at the chalet and hotel and honestly had the best time. Everything was fab from start to finish and the staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. It was the perfect little getaway for me and my partner and we enjoyed every minute. We’ll definitely be coming back! ❤️

The TV’s failed to work. They are not smart tvs, but aside from that YouTube etc was not working! Kids were very disappointed

There were loads of spiders when we checked in our room. It was really hot and we were not provided with a fan. We kept looking for fans everywhere. The hotel reception staff was very rude. Rooms had loads of spiders inside.

The overall layout

1. They do not segregate the rubbish into recycling, food and general, it’s appalling. 2. Breakfast timings were restrictive as they insist on playing the English breakfast. Food, tea, coffee was very mediocre. 3. Kids swim timings are restrictive leading to overcrowding. 8-10 am and 3.5 pm. 4. Rooms were basic and even in the excess heat this summer there were no fans kept in the rooms. 5. Reception staff checked us in then called again asking when will we check in.

Lovely sized resort, peaceful and comfortable accommodation (stayed in 2 bed premium.). Great swimming pool facility.

Staff in spa and reception were great and enthusiastic but this needed to pass through to the breakfast staff that were table based. Went to lounge bar in the evenings for drinks and desserts .. both times were waiting ridiculous time for drinks. Desserts came and had been eaten before 2 Irish coffees.. which we had to ask for again. Waiting Staff were great at remedying and took drinks off the bill but reflected how the service experienced was very mixed

We had to change rooms. As the one we booked was drastically over priced for what it was. Thankfully, the hotel was accommodating.

Cleanliness could have been better. But chalet was good, nice and spacious.

The luxury cabins with hot tub are not detached and there are people above which is not so clear from website and pictures. The windows to the upstairs accommodation overlook the hot tub so the hot tub is not private this is disappointing. It was fairly expensive as it was billed as the nicest accommodation at the resort. Our TV flickering and not repaired. Kitchen basic, nowhere to drain dishes, no tea towel, no coasters.

I needed to leave before breakfast was ready as I needed to leave at 7:15am so I missed breakfast. i did ask if there was an option for a takeaway continental breakfast but there wasn't.

The property was well situated in Dyserth and has great views over the countryside and sea. Nice setting to watch a sunset from. The staff were great. Pool area was very clean. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and nice local Welsh yoghurts.

The property we stayed in (Chalet 6) was tired and needed some TLC. Bits of plaster missing out of the wall and stained lino flooring. It didn’t ruin the stay but definitely needs redecorating. This was mentioned to the receptionist on checkout. The lockers for the gym need updating, some locks didn’t work and some had no locks at all.

The staff were very helpful and always quick to recommend us with places to visit and things to do. One of the staff in the restaurant (cant remember his name but it started with an N) took us around the facility showing us where everything was and that was really nice of him.

On our last night we got under the sheets which we hadnt done as it was quite warm the whole stay and we saw the bottom sheet/cover had brown stains. No side tables in the chalet so we had to use the chairs as coffee table

The price for the room, smell from shower drain which was masked with excessive spray so could barely breath on arrival, showers were cold one time at pool, 3 showers at pool changing but only one soap dispenser with soap both on days, small bench for everyone to get changed at, couch in apartment was dated, as was vinyl floor which was lifting in the middle, microwave not clean

There was only 1 to well for one of us. We were told there was entertainment but it was just a DJ and not the fire eaters and proper evening entertainment seen on the website. It was also incredibly loud with kids allowed to scream constantly.

The location was pretty boring nothing around other than the prestatyn beach but the weather was bad.

lacking maintenance, both lights both sides of the bed broke. Bathroom mirror light broke.. Dinner was half board and a complete faff. Ran out of beef at half 7! No steaks and ran out of bottled Cider too. Just poorly managed. Shame really as the massages and accommodation was okay for the £104 for the night. Plus £60 half board

The accommodations were satisfactory in terms of cleanliness.

However, despite the prevailing hot weather conditions, which necessitated the booking of 22 rooms, there was an apparent oversight regarding climate control. Upon arrival, a request for a fan was made, and while one was provided for a single room, the occupants of the second room were subjected to uncomfortable temperatures. It is imperative that such environmental factors, particularly in hot weather, are adequately addressed to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. I request refund of my paid an punt for rooms

The location was good, the breakfast & restaurant were really good. We really enjoyed the resort Peacock- a highlight for our kids!

The location and layout was beautiful. The staff (especially Linda and Sports Bar staff!) and facilities were superb! Will definitely return!

Issue at breakfast as the bookings for both lodges and the king room had only one guest listed meaning 6 of our guests could have missed breakfast. Linda (who was utterly fabulous!) immediately sorted this out, however one couple was refused the two breakfasts, which was disappointing and certainly not Linda’s fault. This should really be looked into as it’s such a beautiful resort and this miscommunication lets it down.

Room was dirty covered in cobwebs and spiders in every single room. Couldn’t use the shower on suite because cobwebs were all the way down with spiders in.

Really good facilities. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast a bit sparse. Lovely meal in The View restaurant.nocw massage at Serenity Spa. Pool and facilities were fab. Also rooms in the hotel were not made up daily.

Only reason never gave top marks we had a fire alarm on last morning at 7.30. not a single member of staff to be seen which was a bit concerning. Turns out it was a false alarm in one of the lodges but we were totally left alone.

The resort is set in beautiful surroundings in a wooded area. The pool was lovely. The restaurant and bars upstairs, with the balcony overlooking the countryside down to the coast was stunning,

Breakfast was a bit disappointing. On our first morning there was no fresh fruit salad because there was nobody to prepare it. On the second morning there was a lovely fruit salad but only toffee yogurt to go with it, no plain or Greek yogurt available. Also there was no plant based butter available. The lodges are very nice, but the hand soap dispenser was empty. There was no bath mat or tea towel, or washing up liquid left. It’s just attention to detail really and catering to everyone’s taste with the breakfast.

The staff all over the place were exceptional especially Victoria at reception! I first booked a twin room in the hotel, but due to a lack of availability on one of the nights, our whole stay was upgraded to a 2-bedroom chalet. The place is quiet, well-lit, incredibly comfortable and spacious. We ended up extending for a whole week. A peacock was gracing us with his visit every morning which was a big bonus.

The path leading to some chalets is on an incline, which may be challenging for guests with limited mobility. Also, a few chalets have apartments above them, so noise can vary depending on who’s staying upstairs. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s worth keeping in mind.

The peacocks!!

From the minute we arrived, the staff made us feel extremely welcome and couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. We can't emphasise how good the staff were and how much they all deserve recognition. Our room was spacious, clean, and well presented. Despite being close to the main building, it was very quiet and private with no passers by our window. Room was a very short walk to reception, the spa facilities, restaurant and bars. A good choice of food on the menu in the restaurant which we felt was good value for money. Roof top seating area was perfect to watch the spectacular sunset. Plenty of parking spaces. Only 5 min drive to Prestatyn. Overall, our stay at the Marian was very relaxing and enjoyable and we will certainly consider returning in the future.

The locker situation in the changing rooms is something to be addressed. Many of the lockers in both the male and female changing rooms couldn't be locked, and of those that could, the digital locking devices were so temperamental, it was pot luck if they locked, or opened again once you entered the combination. Staff did assure us that a complete overhaul of the lockers was imminent, which is good to hear, but it was a bit disappointing to not have that peace of mind when it came to the security of your belongings. The temperature in the dining room was quite cool, with the air con constantly blowing cool air. This was a welcoming atmosphere as we stayed during a very hot spell, but we did find it contributed to our food going cold quite quickly. We appreciate this may have been due to such hot weather, but something to consider if you are eating in the restaurant.

Hot Breakfast unfortunately was not hot,

Great location not far from beaches, model railway and lake as well as waterfall. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and the food was lovely too, great to watch the sunset and the world pass by when eating in The View Restaurant too.

We took our little one during the child swimming times, we exited the pool but were leisurely about exiting the pool area to which the lifeguard told us we had overstayed our welcome by 5 mins. I was a little taken aback as I thought the swimming area was only to be used with children during these times however, there were also other people staying using the facilities at the same time when they didn't have any children; so didn't think staying a few extra minutes would be that much of a problem. Suffice to say we left soon thereafter.

Room in hotel was extremely hot. Room windows have very low security and need replacing urgently due to rotting window frames to the point you could easily open closed windows from the outside. Didn't feel confident leaving any valuables in my room. Downstairs sports bar was a great space but food was very basic and of average quality which was odd as upstairs food was 5 star.

The value for money. The lodges are beautiful and have so much to offer. Also the breakfast was amazing.

There was a small ant infestation going on at the poolside. However the staff were told and was sorting this.

The location was very good . The Lodge was spotless , lovely beds and nice towels . The breakfast was really nice and the staff were very pleasant . We had a meal in the sports bar which was nice , a good place for families to relax in the bar which had a pool table , football table and lots of tv screens . The swimming pool was Amazing and it had quiet times if you needed it with no children . Would definitely recommend it and will definitely return .

Everything was to our liking .

Everything was amazing. Staff are great throughout the resort. The bat staff at night are great. The receptionist on booking in, gave us a a2 bedroom so we didnt need to check out and back in the following day as we had booked 2nd night in 2 bedroom. It was an amazing stay and we will be back in a few weeks
