Didn't like that we had to make use of a communal kitchen. A kitchenette in each room would make this so much better. The weather was not great so they could look at covering the area where the Jacuzzi is.

I would say each facility should have its own braai area,the braai area is perfect but not everyone want to interact with others,some people come to break away and be on there own and the braai area does not allow that because everyone wants to braai and then it's a waiting game.

No 7 or 6 is not enclosed for privacy. 2) The host too much in ones space. Kept coming outside to the kol kol too check up & seemed somewhat irritated by the smoke the wood which they provided. 3) The cats making a noise through the night infront our door which disrupted my sleep as I am a light sleeper. 4)The bed creeks quiet a bit. 5)The cereal (cornflakes) provided the next day was stale.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026One of the best places we've stayed! Cornelia, the hostess, is incredibly friendly and made us feel at home the second we walked in. One of the house cats, Shakira, greeted us before we even made it to the door (she did demand belly rubs for the service, but we felt that was a fair price) The property is gorgeous. The gardens are exceptionally well looked after, and we're already planning a second trip in the summer to be able to use the swimming pool. There's a tree house lounge perfect for taking a nap while listening to the weaver birds in the tree around you. We stayed in the sunrise surprise room. The room is super cozy with a fireplace, bathtub, and comfortable bed. The room also has a private veranda, which gives you your own entrance. We'll definitely be visiting again!

I sent a WA telling them we will try our best to be there before 9pm as the confirmation mail said there is a fee after 9pm Then they told me there is no 1 after 8pm. So they just cancel booking. Ignored ALL my messanges and even my 2 calls Ruiend our anniversary!

Reviewed Jan 20, 2026Very comfy room in a quiet location. Lots of space to relax outside as the grounds are lovely. Walking distance to a nearby beach and a short drive to restaurants and sights. There's a large communal kitchen with everything you need, as well as accomodating and genuinely friendly hosts to assist with whatever comes up. Would stay again.

Both Booking.com and Goblins Creek should consider updating their websites to enhance user experience and improve overall maintenance. During my recent stay, I found that the final cost was significantly higher than expected due to misleading advertising on Booking.com, which led to unforeseen expenses. Furthermore, the braai area at Goblins Creek could benefit from an upgrade, as the current arrangement of having only one braai space is inadequate when the house is fully booked and multiple guests wish to utilize this facility.

We had a restful couple of days at Goblin's Creek, the bed was comfortable, the animals were an extra bonus, the hot tub was out of the world. All in all a beautiful stay.

Honestly, can't really complain. Would just say that if cleaning is done and towels are removed, to replace them. But really that was very minor.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2025I really enjoyed the jacuzzi and the fact that they had some wood available for it. The bed was comfy and I liked the fact that they had a make up towel available. The tree house with the stunning views was an added bonus.
Accommodation was not cheap so one would expect the coffee machine to work. Coffee dripped out. Definitely not fully functional. Also we had an ice cold shower in the morning. Not a drop of warm water available. I also really would suggest that they have a look at what was running up and down in the roof. Woke me up a few times.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2025Beautiful, peaceful getaway – with one small hiccup Goblin Creek is a beautiful place, thoughtfully designed with care and attention to detail. Each room is well laid out and equipped with everything you need. Everything was clean and neat, making it a very comfortable stay. The bed and mattress were of excellent quality, which made for a great night’s sleep (aside from the noise from next door). The private hot tub right outside our room was a real treat and added something special to the experience. The only downside was that the guests in the room next to us were noisy throughout the night and only went to bed around 6am, which disturbed the peace. That said, this was no fault of Goblin Creek itself. Other than that, we had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it for a peaceful escape.
The only downside was the noisy guest next door.

That there's no TV. Sometimes a getaway for couples includes getting the chance to watch your favorite shows together or a movie. Somethings not quite right with the sewerage/draining system, there was a smell that disappeared once I placed the plugs in, in the tub and basin. That could also explain the cockroaches I saw at night, that wasn't nice. Beds are too high
