Cable Bay Surf Studio

The location is absolutely beautiful, we rose to the most gorgeous winter sunrise and started our day just as the trip was intended, slow, relaxing and just enjoying time together. The room was beautifully clean and well sized. Would absolutely stay here given the opportunity again.

Location is very central for trips to Cape Reinga,Kaitaia,90 Mile Beach,Kerikeri. Absolutely love the view from the studio ! Beautiful NZ scenery.Comfortable bed,couch and all facilities in great order.

The studio was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view over the sea! The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic, with the best shower and water pressure! The hosts Mark & Jane were extremely helpful and provided a lot of information regarding local sites and suggested places to visit.

Given the limited number of places to eat locally, would have loved a bigger fridge and the ability to make some simple meals.

The room overlooked Doubtless Bay, and the views superlative.

The unexpected walk (?) to the room, down 14 steps from the parking area to the entry doon, then 17 steep steps to the studio. Parking was not convenient, a bit of a walk on a grade to the entry. The property bombards one with "don't do this or that" adminitions, and the owner came across as a non-people person, wasn't very friendly. As a 7 continent traveler, staying in a vast array of accomidatioons, over many decades, this was one of the least-enjoyable that I've had.

Perfect location for exploring Doubtless Bay. Stunning view overlooking the water. The studio is well equipped with everything you need.

Lovely location, private despite being in a corporate block of buildings.

Outside tables and chairs are getting abit worse for wear. Time to freshen them up.

Car park on grass around the back... Stairs down to apartment... Limited privacy, need nice trellicing or something for a bit more privacy... Nice views..

Amazing! The place exceeded our expectations. It was super clean, and we got to enjoy a few relaxing days with a spectacular view. The reception staff welcomed us warmly and provided helpful information to explore the area. We will definitely be back

Loved the location and the panoramic views.

There were a lot of steps/stairs to get down to/ up from the unit. Not so good if mobility is an issue.

Can’t think of anything

The views were amazing. Beautifully perched on the hill looking over the ocean, was just stunning. Not far from shops if need be.

Only that we couldn't cook meals as no cooking facilities if we were to stay longer.

The view was lovely . The studio was clean and was modern. The water pressure in the shower was excellent as was the shower head.

Unfortunately,to access the studio, there were a number of stairs both inside the complex and from road level. Carrying bags up and down on entry and exit was difficult. This information would have been useful at booking time.

Very clean, great beds with lovely crisp clean sheets.
