Climbing the stairs was challenging while carrying luggage .The car had to be parked some streets away in a cheaper carpark and the host gave very detailed and specific instructions on where to find it and how to pay but it was still a challenge for more senior people.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026This is a great spot to stay in. It is very reasonably priced and is in a very central location in the town. There is no reception desk or staff on site, but access was easy and communicated clearly in advance. The room was perfect, lovely bed and bathroom, and it also came with some bottled water, which is a nice touch as a lot of actual hotels would not even supply this sort of thing. Would highly recommend The Quay Lodge.

There is no actual personal contact. You get emailed a code and never see a person. Not a problem if all goes well, but not sure how it would work when there is a problem. Obviously there is no breakfast option, but you are right in town, so can buy something.

No parking facilities, difficult to get to a from the hotel within the town. This information was not provided prior to booking. A green ceiling light was on all the time and it was therefore difficult to sleep, the light should have been located in a better position if it was required. Bed was uncomfortable. TV unable to access full range of free to air programs normally available in Ireland.

Der Fischgeruch von gegenüber - aber dafür kann die Unterkunft nichts. Man könnte ja auch die Fenster schließen, aber dafür war es einfach zu warm in dieser Woche.

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026I had a great stay at The Quay Lodge in Wexford. The room was very clean, well organized, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It was easy to settle in, and I appreciated that all the essential amenities were provided. The only minor downside was that the room felt a little warm during the summer, as there is no air conditioning. However, this wasn’t a major issue and didn’t take away from the overall experience. The location is excellent, with many attractions, restaurants, shops, and the waterfront all within easy walking distance. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Wexford
