Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Location is great. I like the interior design in Orange room -- it is quite cute. Overall I don't have strong complaints. And, speaking as someone who lived in the Netherlands for many years, what's mentioned in many comments as shortcomings -- poor sound insulation, narrow stairs -- is very typical in old houses in Dutch town centers, thus as expected.
The interior facilities seem a bit crappy: (1) the power extension board works, but looks like a safety hazard with a quarter of its upper shell missing; (2) I scratched my finger on a screw sticking out, coz the door nob was just hanging loosely on the screw and fell off the moment I touched it.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Fijne locatie dicht bij het centrum van Haarlem. Prettig ontvangen door het team en ook snel geholpen. Enige nadeel was dat het rond de 30 graden was en er geen airco aanwezig was in de kamer, dit is wel redelijk opgelost door ventilatoren in de kamer neer te zetten.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Toast by night in Haarlem. Die Lage ist wirklich sehr zentral und man kann morgens in dem Restaurant im Erdgeschoss wunderbar frühstücken (nicht im Preis inklusive). Wir haben uns direkt in die Einrichtung verliebt. Alles sieht wirklich sehr hübsch aus und man hat genügend Platz. Es gab eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine und genügend Kaffee. Wir haben sogar eine Flasche Wein zur begrüßung stehen gehabt. Die Küchenzeile haben wir nicht benutzt, aber sie bietet alles, um sich selber zu versorgen.
Abends kann es mal ein bisschen lauter werden, was uns aber nicht sehr gestört hat.

Douche is wat krap, bed oké maar niet súper comfortabel.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Our cozy room felt very homely and has a beautiful view at the old street with beautiful stained glass windows. The shower was nice and warm and the bed felt very soft and comfortable.
The rooms are situated on top of a very popular lunch café, which is their core business. The downside of this is the noise in early morning from staff walking up and down the stairs to collect stuff from a storage next to our bedroom door.

Reviewed May 12, 2026Очень уютные апартаменты, расположены на центральной старинной улице Харлема, из окон открываться красивый вид на эту улочку. Атмосфера голландской старины, на окнах витражи. Но несмотря на старину, в квартире все чисто и аккуратно. Приветливый персонал, на столе нас ждал сюрприз - бутылка вина с приготовленными бокалами. Вокруг много кафе и магазинчиков.
Здание старинное, так что в нем сильная слышимость.

The “Orange Room” might be okay for a one-night stay, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anything longer. The bins aren’t emptied and fresh towels aren’t provided. The shower and toilet facilities are extremely small. The room itself feels improvised, with lots of obvious DIY fixes and unfinished touches.

Номер оборудован всем необходимым (кофеварка с капсулами, посуда, приборы), вплоть до мелочей, которых обычно в отелях с кухней не хватает (кухонные полотенца, моющее, мочалка). Оставляет очень приятные впечатления. Поскольку вход в отель через кафе на 1 этаже, то при поселении после 17-00 необходимо учитывать особенность (не недостаток!) - входная дверь может быть заперта. Нужно связаться с персоналом.

Reviewed Mar 19, 2026Beide kamers zijn leuk ingericht, bed was heerlijk en super aardig personeel. We hebben een keer daar het ontbijt genomen en dat was heerlijk! De locatie is in hartje centrum dus top, alles binnen loopafstand. We voelden ons welkom en hebben genoten. Aanrader!
Wij zelf sliepen op de bovenste verdieping en daar was geen handdouche wat wel handig zou zijn wanneer je je haren niet nat wil maken. Ook was warm water bij het wasbakje fijn geweest, technisch zou het kunnen omdat de douche er achter zit. Nu hebben we het opgelost door de waterkoker, geen probleem. Ja, je hoort geluiden van de stad en het personeel in de ochtend maar wij vonden het minimaal dus geen probleem. Je krijgt oordopjes, heel attent maar wij hebben het niet nodig gehad.

Kitchen closed a little early after saying they would be open for food, but I took longer so not their fault. Noisy outside which wasn't great. Windows were thin and hard to open. Can see it being very hot in the summer.

(For the Ornge Room) WC in the room was pretty small, and the door to the room is partially blocked by a ladder to the attic - neither is particularly comfortable for tall people

Reviewed Dec 16, 2025De locatie is top! Personeel is vriendelijk, het eten is lekker, comfortabel bed en het ziet er mooi uit.
Het behoorlijk gehorig en de ramen zijn enkel. Nu waren wij wel tijdens de kerstmarkt dus het was overal erg druk en er liepen dan ook veel mensen langs in de nacht die terug kwam van het uitgaan.

Het is redelijk gehorig. In de ochtend hoor je mensen lopen op de trap en we hoorden steeds een vreemde tik/bonk bij de buren. Geen idee wat het was.
