Reviewed Aug 31, 2026I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 night stay in the Daisy Room at Hazel House. The location is excellent with bus stops to/from the airport and Haarlem Central Station only a few steps away, and it is only a few minutes walk to the Grote Markt and all the main sites. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and perfect for my stay. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice surprise. I'd love to stay here again if I've ever back in Haarlem.

The Wi-Fi stopped working during our stay. We were unable to get this resolved

Die nächste Parkmöglichkeit war ein Parkhaus etwa 5-10 Minuten fußläufig. Es gab zu wenig Ausstattung in der Küche (Wasserkocher vorhanden jedoch keine Tassen)

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026Mooie kamer midden in het centrum. Fijne douche en gelukkig een airco. We zaten net met een hitte golf in de stad, maar hebben heerlijk geslapen.
Zelf geen last van, maar het zijn smalle, steile trappen, direct naast de badkamer.

Essendo su una delle strade principali, è un po’ rumoroso, ma vengono forniti i tappi per le orecchie (che comunque non ho usato).

C’est très bruyant, l’endroit est sale quand tu arrives, tu montes les escaliers pour aller aux chambres c’est écœurant. Les lits sont propres, mais le sol est sale, il y a beaucoup de poussières .. les fenêtres ne s’ouvrent pas très bien. Elles ne sont pas doublées donc tu entends toute la rue . La macnhine a laver était sale ..

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Wir haben uns im The Hazel House sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Inhaberin ist unglaublich freundlich und die kleine Wohnung sehr hübsch und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es war alles da, was man braucht. Besonders gefallen haben uns der historische Charme und die tolle, sehr zentrale Lage mit vielen schönen Cafés und Restaurants direkt in der Umgebung.
Einziger Minuspunkt ist der Straßenlärm durch die direkt angrenzende Hauptverkehrsstraße und die Einfachverglasung. Sehr aufmerksam fanden wir, dass dafür sogar Ohrstöpsel bereitlagen. Insgesamt eine sehr süße Unterkunft, die wir gerne weiterempfehlen!

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Het is een complete kamer. Niet groot maar alles is aanwezig om het comfortabel te maken. Koffieapparaat, waterkoker, tafel en 2 stoeltjes. Heerlijke (stort) douche en fijn bed.
Gehorig. Wel krijg je oordopjes ter beschikking wat zeker helpt om het geluid van de straat te dempen.

The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that the air-conditioning filters were really dirty and we had to clean them ourselves, also there was a lot of humidity and the weird smell from the room when it was really hot.

Erg gehorig… werden om 6:15 van 20 minuten lang echt herrie onder ons en tegen onze deur/muren. Verder moest je veel kleine stijle trappetjes op.

Om het helemaal af te maken zou een minikoelkastje op de kamer perfect zijn.

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026Hazel House is a centuries-old building in the heart of Haarlem's historic center that contains (I believe) three studio apartments. The apartment I stayed in was very clean and had a comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, a Smart TV and a washer/dryer unit. The location is perfect with all of Haarlem's tourist sites within easy walking distance. The best thing for me is that the 300 bus stop is just in front of the building and that bus took me all the way to Ziggo Arena where I went to see the Iron Maiden concert. But, even if that hadn't been the case, I would still highly recommend this apartment for a short stay in Haarlem.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026This was the cutest little studio in the centre of Haarlem, just 10' on foot from the train station and another 15-20 mins from Amsterdam! The room was small, but very clean and nicely decorated, and the owners also operated the very cozy cafe downstairs.
The room faces a central street of Haarlem, which can get quite noisy in the evenings, especially on the weekend... Also, the bathroom is not very well separated from the main room, which can be a bit awkward if you're not travelling alone.

Considering the price, the room is really not up to standard. * The window overlooking the street does not close properly. When it is windy, it keeps partially opening and closing, which creates a lot of noise and allows cold air into the room. * The room is extremely noisy. You can hear everything happening on the street, largely due to the poor quality of the window. * The shower has very low water pressure, making it difficult to use comfortably.

Unser Appartement lag unterm Dach, sodass wir über drei Etagen unser Gepäck die schmalen, steilen Treppen hoch tragen mussten! Das sollte man wissen, vielleicht je nach Alter und Gepäck kann das mühsam sein!! Unten im Haus ist jedoch ein Café und die netten Mitarbeiterinnen haben sofort ihre Hilfe angeboten!

Unfortunately like the reviews already mentioned, it was very noisy outside which woke me up a few times during the night. Earplugs were provided but unfortunately can't wear those cause they're too uncomfortable for me but still slept quite well!

One window could not be opened. The water in the shower does not drain and the shower curtain is full of mold and you can smell that in the entire appartment after showering. The stairs are very steep, if you are not really fit or have mobility issues, do not book the accommodation

Had to make contact to sort access after checking time. Noisy road outside until 2am and from 6am. They had provided ear plugs so clearly an issue previously spoilt great place. Suggest peace windows with double glazing.

Reviewed May 15, 2026Prettig appartement, leuk ingericht en in het centrum van Haarlem. De Hazel bar onder het appartement is een gezellige plek voor een bakje koffie of thee en een heerlijk ontbijt. Leuk en vriendelijk personeel!
Het appartement ligt aan een drukke weg, waar ook 's-nachts veel verkeer voorbij rijdt. Ook pratende mensen op straat hoor je goed, je krijgt oordopjes bij ontvangst en dat is prettig. Voor een paar nachtjes geen probleem, maar als je rustig wilt slapen dan is dit niet de ideale plek.

Reviewed May 13, 2026Fabulous location in the old town! Nice amenities and super comfortable bed, like sinking into a marshmallow every night. The women running the Cafe below the apartment were lovely, stored our luggage until check-in allowing us to explore immediately. Two grocery stores almost across the street from the apartment and even better, airport bus IS across the street, it simply can’t get any easier. We will return because it is a quality accommodation with a wonderful setting!

We stayed in the room at the top. It has very steep staircases. The bathroom door is not a full door. It is more like a toilet stall.

Reviewed Apr 24, 2026The apartment was beautifully decorated and comfortable. It is in a perfect location for exploring the old town of Haarlem. The small coffee shop downstairs looked really nice but sadly we didn’t have time to try it. The staff were lovely.
It was a weekend and the street outside became really noisy with people hanging around all night and disturbing our sleep. Earplugs are provided by the owners and we would have used them but didn’t want to miss our alarm.

És una mica sorollós pel trànsit del carrer, però el host es proporciona taps per les orelles. Per mi no era problema, però s'ha de tenir en compte que puges dos pisos amb escales molt inclinades.
