Hôtel en pleine nature. Salle de bain en extérieur. Parfait pour ceux qui recherchent l’authenticité de Bali par son emplacement. Personnel très attentionné, très gentil. La gérante est à nos petits soins, et nous a donnés un contact pour faire de l’ATV et du rafting : on recommande ! On recommande également les soins de massage et réflexologie proposés par l’établissement : excellents !

La cama era cómoda y la habitación tenía decoración bonita.

Las fotos no reflejan el estado actual del alojamiento, había sensación de dejadez. La ubicación era muy remota, el camino poco accesible y la cena fue de lo peor que hemos comido. Trajeron una pizza congelada y un sándwich muy malo. Por otro lado, nos comentó que nos dejaría una moto y no supimos el coste hasta el check-out. Por último, el desayuno tenía poca variedad.

My stay at The River Island Sidemen has been absolutely incredible. The location is exceptional, set on a beautiful private island surrounded by lush nature. The garden is incredibly charming, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Most importantly, the owner, Jero, is an exceptional host and a genuinely lovely person. She truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I can’t wait to come back soon!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt! Die Anlage ist sehr schön und gepflegt, die Häuschen sind gemütlich und bieten alles, was man braucht. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die unglaublich nette und hilfsbereite Inhaberin, die rund um die Uhr erreichbar ist und sich um alles kümmert und organisiert, was man benötigt. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker – mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf den Fluss konnten wir entspannt in den Tag starten. Das einzige kleine Manko: Die Beleuchtung draußen ist nachts etwas zu hell. Ansonsten absolut empfehlenswert – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

This is by far one of the most unique & stunning properties I've stayed at. The cottages have a view of the river that immediately makes you feel like you've entered nature's oasis. The outdoor patio even has a lounge area and tub, and fire pit, where you can enjoy the river views. It's prettier in person than photos. It's a short 10+ min drive from sidemen center. It does have an outdoor bathroom, so keep that in mind. But there was bug spray stocked and i enjoyed it nonetheless. The owner and her family are always nearby, and they have an on premises restaurant where you can order to deliver to room, which is nice because there are no GRABs around.

The neighborhood has no grab, but the owner can give you the number of a private taxi.

Absolutely incredible stay — by far one of our best experiences in Indonesia! Everything was perfect: the beautiful location, the lovely room, the amazing swimming pool and the peaceful setting right next to the river. It truly felt like a dream, surrounded by nature and tranquility. 🌿The location is also perfect for exploring Sidemen, with all the main activities and beautiful spots nearby, while still feeling like a peaceful hidden paradise. And the staff were absolutely wonderful! Everyone was so kind, welcoming and attentive. A special mention to our host, whose incredible hospitality made us feel like we were staying with family rather than at a hotel. ❤️ This place is a true haven of peace, and we honestly didn’t want to leave. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful and authentic stay in Sidemen. We would happily come back anytime!

The owner was so helpful and was always available for anything, even with external problems. The bathtub was insane, like a dream, in the middle of nowhere with all the sky for you.

The sheets smelled a bit musty but apart from that, everything was fine.

The River Island es un hotel tan bonito que dan ganas de no salir de él. Tanto las habitaciones como los espacios externos son cómodos y bonitos y la atención del personal es excepcional. Lo recomendaré a cualquier persona que vaya a visitar Sidemen. Las vistas al río y a la montaña son impresionantes y la gerente es una de las personas más agradables que hemos conocido en nuestro tiempo en Indonesia.

prachtige plek en een fantastische familie die veel zorg heeft voor je als gast, wat deze accommodatie een topper maakt. Onze ferry vertrok ineens een halve dag eerder, ze hebben uitstekend geholpen om ervoor te zorgen dat wij onze Ferry op tijd konden halen. Sidemen is nog een prachtig stukje authentiek Bali, wij hebben ervan genoten.

Bosko!!! Właścicielka jest cudowną kobietą, wszystko załatwia ogarnia. Zamówienia jedzonka, drewno na ognisko, naprawa koła w aucie przez męża. Wszystko. Do tego pełne zaufanie korzystania z restauracyjnego barku. Do tego obiekt / teren jest dość duży, pięknie urządzony, zadbany, domki są bardzo wygodne i nie są pościskane. Wszystko położone nad dwoma rzekami na które jest widok z domków i basenu. REWELACJA !

Tout était parfait! L’environnement est très nature et calme. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propre et la salle de bain extérieur magnifique. Le personnel est adorable, aux petits soins et les massages sur la terrasse de la chambre à ne pas manquer! Un petit clin d’œil à la patronne Viona qui est une très belle personne 😉🙏

This place was amazing...right on the river. We woke up to the best views! Jero was over the top with her hospitality and we could not be more grateful. We arrived late and she still accommodated our hungry kids at the restaurant. The rooms were decorated so cute, and the beds were so comfortable!

Lovely villa in a stunning location on the river among the paddy fields. We loved the outdoor bathroom, the pool, taking a dip.in the river, our firepit and relaxing in our bath overlooking the river. A delicious breakfast that we liked served on our patio. The owners and staff were very friendly. The honesty bar by the pool was handy. Plenty of parking for our hire car - the road to the property was fine.

Des petites maisons élégantes au milieu d’un immense parc au bord de la rivière. Le cadre est très agréable, tout est propre et confortable. Le personnel est comme toujours très prévenant et sympathique. Un peu à l’écart de Sidemen, ce qui garantit le calme du lieu et son charme, mais avec un scooter, on accède rapidement à tous les points d’intérêt sans difficulté. Quelques restaurants à distance de marche pour le soir.

Bereits am Eingang der Unterkunft, nachdem man den Schotterweg überwunden hat, sprüht man die ruhige, positive und familiäre Energie. Die zahlreichen hinduistischen Details zum Weg des Häuschens sind ein Highlight für sich. Das Zimmer/ Haus ist unglaublich stilvoll, aber zugleich nicht überfrachtet gestaltet. Das offene Bad mit dem Steinboden ist eine weitere einzigartige Ergänzung. Zudem ist der Blick von den Sonnenliegen und Pool wunderschön und es liegen frisches Obst und Snacks aus. Neben dem Surrounding war auf jeden Fall Jero unser größtes Highlight. Du brauchst etwas? Jero besorgt es dir! So haben wir abends nach einem Roller gefragt und schon stand morgens ein Roller vor unserer Tür mit Schlüsseln drin. Sie war so auf Zack und hatte diese tolle Anlage im Griff, dass wir sie liebevoll big mama genannt haben. Sie hat unser Herz gewonnen und war uns der liebste Mensch in Sidemen.

The River Island Sidemen was without a doubt the most beautiful place we stayed during our trip. It felt like much more than just a hotel, it genuinely felt like our own home in paradise. Everything was beautiful. Our room was amazing, and having our own little garden right next to the river made the experience incredibly peaceful and special. The whole property has such a private and relaxed atmosphere that we could freely walk around and enjoy everything almost as if the place belonged to us. We originally planned to spend our time exploring Sidemen, but we loved the beauty, peace and atmosphere of our room so much that we decided to simply stay and enjoy it. My only regret is that I didn't book a longer stay. The staff were incredibly kind and available 24/7. Whenever we needed something or order food, we simply sent a WhatsApp message and it was taken care of or brought directly to our room. The River Island Sidemen is a place I can wholeheartedly recommend. A special thank you to Jero Virona for her wonderful hospitality and for making our stay even more memorable.

Resort style layout without the service. Self service for drinks just beers and soft drinks. More suited to sideman vibes was just a little surprised how everything was a bit more expensive in sideman in general. Smaller breakfast than in our resort in ubud.

Jero possède un domaine avec des petites villas absolument magnifiques. Son personnel est au top, le petit déjeuner est très bon et bien fournis. Les chambres sont propres, calmes et avec tout le nécessaire. Possibilité de louer un scooter sur place comme de se faire masser directement à votre villa si l’envie vous en prend ! À recommander sans hésiter.

Our 'superior villa' was very special, and the outlook was very gorgeous with the river and a small waterfall. The pool area also had a wonderful outlook along the river to the mountains. Jero and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the meals on our patio. A delightful getaway to end our trip.

The property is so beautiful the bungalows are all located around the river. Our room was extremely comfortable and the owner Jero had made sure to think of everything that will make the stay an absolute joy. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

The location and serenity of this place is unmatched! It is even better than I could have hoped for. It is modern and stylish yet maintains that Balinese charm. The staff are so helpful and accommodating. Great to cool off in the river, the pool or the outdoor shower. the grounds to the whole property are stunning, truely a one of a kind stay! We can’t wait to be back. The breakfast is also amazing, the best o letter I’ve ever had in Bali, yum!

Wunderschön auf einer kleinen Insel gelegen, unglaublich ruhig und erholsam; Schnelles Service via WhatsApp, sehr fürsorglich - Regenschirmservice vom benachbarten Restaurant weg;

Kleinigkeiten, wie abgenutzte Plastikliegen;

Impresionante la ubicación, las instalaciones y sobre todo la piscina. Mención especial al personal. Nos marchabamos al día siguiente a las 5 de la mañana, con lo que nos perdíamos el desayuno, y se ofrecieron a traérnoslo igualmente a esa hora. Un 10 por eso.

La única pega que a nosotros no nos termina de convencer son los baños al aire libre. Justo esa noche nos llovío y nos duchamos bajo la lluvia. Si es cierto que no hace frío pero no nos termina de gustar, porque siempre hai más bicheria. Aunque ser es precioso el baño.

Ballon eau chaude insuffisant pour la baignoire. La nourriture décevante. Invasion de fourmis volantes mortes en fin d après midi. Heureusement le personnel très réactif a refait le ménage et changé les draps rapidement.

The owner Jeru was very kind and helpful, so was the rest of the staff! The room and the hole little island are beautiful and is very quiet. You really feel the jungle around you, if you enjoy nature, you will love it!!

The only thing that was a little minus, was the big crack we had under our door, a lot of big aints entered the room (but this is part of being in nature) What needs to be mentioned, but doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing, is that without a scooter you are a little limited when it comes to food and general street life. We liked that it was secluded, but we enjoy to try food at different warungs, which was a little hard to do.

Where do I start? River Island was like walking on a dream! Every little detail about the ground/gardens/property/rooms was amazing. The craftmenship and details of the bungalows, the interior design - breathtaking balinese, from the hut itself to the carved bedroom, outdoor bathroom full of stunning greenery, the patio equipped with fridge, kettle, mozzie spray, sun lounge, table and chairs to the robes (which my kids loved and ran around with all day). We felt like Queens! The breakfast area near the pool gave you a sense of zen thanks to the river flowing right next to it. The pool behind was a great size and offered great vistas to the river and some big lizards! Breakfast was 11/10 and so much, we had to skip lunch. Banana pancake, dragonfruit granola bowl (my favourite), omelette, fruit platter, juice...you name it! The property is a couple of steep hills out of Sidemen which won't bother you, as soon as you are here, you won't wanna go anywhere else! There's a few cute restaurants within 5 mins walking distance and you are surrounded by rice terraces! All staff were lovely and so helpful. Jero organised a massage for us and helped us with transport and always aimed to make River Island even better than it is! We felt very welcome and appreciated as guests which is lovely.

There wasn't anything to not like about the property, it is heaven! It's only when you want to go into town, transport is about 200k return, something worth mentioning.

Exceptional staff. We have left behind a precious personal object, Jero and her staff did immediately help and managed to ship it to us … thank you once again, hoping to come back soon !! 🙏

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft schön, ein kleines Paradies. Die Gastgeber sehr freundlich, sie geben sich sehr Mühe. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und wenn du da bist, bist du ein Teil der Familie. Es hat schöne kleine Restaurants die zu Fuss erreichbar sind. Jederzeit kannst du über die Gastgeber einen Fahrer organisieren, der dich für einen fairen Preis überall hinfährt. Wir empfehlen ein Reisfeld-Trekking mit einem Guide zu machen um von der Kultur der Menschen etwas zu erfahren. Ein Bad in den Quellen des Wasserfalls dazu buchen und ein unglaublichen Sonnenuntergang genießen. Sidemen ist ein unglaublich schöner Ort, der noch das Leben zeigt wie es früher vor 50 Jahren auch in Ubud war. Du kannst dich entspannen in einer wunderschönen Natur.

Les maisons sont très belles, il y a tout le confort, salle de bain à ciel ouvert, c’est fait avec goût. Le site est énorme, je crois plusieurs hectares, mais l'essentiel est concentré au même endroit. La vue sur la rivière est chouette. L'hôtel est éloigné mais cela se fait très bien en scooter. Vous pouvez tout réserver sur place.

Jero og hendes staff gør et fantastisk stykke arbejde med at holde stedet rent og flot og sikrer at vi har det godt. Dejlig morgenmad og god pool i flotte omgivelser. Vi var uheldige at vandforsyningen drillede i vores lejlighed, men Jero ydede en fremragende service for, at give os færrest mulige gener.

A true little paradise in Sidemen! This place is a peaceful haven surrounded by nature. The property is beautiful and offers everything you need, from great food and drinks prices are slightly higher than at a local warung, but still worth it and to plenty of activities. The location is perfect, the accommodation is stunning, and the outdoor bathroom adds a unique and charming touch. A special thank you to the incredibly kind staff and the wonderful owner for making our stay so memorable. We felt genuinely welcomed from start to finish. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place!

L'endroit est magnifique, grand, très peu de chambres, la piscine avec vue sur la rivière, un havre de paix . Petit déjeuner très bon et copieux. Chambre spacieuse, salle de douche magnifique.

Beaucoup de moustiques mais il y a dans chaque chambre du spray est à disposition.

It's far from the nice restaurants so I had to depend on a taxi since I don't drive.

The location is fabulous! You are away from town and drive through beautiful farm land, cross the river to discover yourself on a private island. We had a villa overlooking the river that had a lovely outdoor living area, outdoor bathtub that allowed you to watch & listen to the river, lounge chairs and private steps to the river. Breakfast was wonderful, staff were always very friendly and took care of everything. We look forward to returning!

In Bali, there is really not much to be done about ants. So I find it best to accept their presence as part of nature.

We had a very good time at The River Island. Our cabin was overlooking the river, it was so peaceful and relaxing. Ibu Jero and her family are adorable and will make sure you have everything you need during your stay. Will definitely come back! Thank you all

L’accoglienza di Jero. Viaggiamo con due bambini ed è stato semplicemente perfetto, abbiamo preso due camere vicine e con il senso di sicurezza e tranquillata anche i ragazzi hanno dormito tranquilli senza pensieri. Ho apprezzato Il senso di pace e tranquillità del luogo (un po’ isolato ma grazie a Jero e a driver locali tutto diventa semplice), la pulizia (migliore trovata a Bali), il profumo di fiori delle lenzuola e asciugamani. Pura poesia e rispetto per l’ospite.

Tout était exceptionnel ! Tout est soigné, on sent le dévouement de toute l' équipe, tout est très bien pensé, il ne manque rien. La propriétaire a été d' une gentillesse extrême, nous avons eu des échanges sincères et profonds.elle a été pleine d' attentions. Nous avons pu bénéficier de services à la carte, réservation d' un chauffeur privé, massages, pressing... L' emplacement est idyllique, le bungalow très propre, confortable et original. mention spéciale pour la salle d eau dehors exceptionnelle. Le parc est magnifique, très bien entretenu.nos avons adoré cet hôtel, le meilleur de notre séjour à Bali, vous pouvez réserver sans hésiter.

Pięknie urządzone domki, przepiękna otwarta łazienka, wszystko nowiutkie i pachnące. Położenie nad rzeką robi robotę, cały czas słyszysz szum wody. Domki położone w pięknym ogrodzie. Trochę czułam się jak w jungli. Mnóstwo motyli, żaby i gekony też się znajdą;) Bardzo miła obsługa i właścicielka 🫶🏻

To nie jest zła ocena tylko informacja że lokalizacja super ale nie jest to blisko głównego Sidemen powiedzmy, musisz wziąć transport.

I like to support Indonesian owned and operated hotels/ villas in Indonesia. This is one. You can see that the family lives on the property and that is refreshing. The property is HUGE- the largest I have ever seen in Bali. And the view from the dining area and pool is unmatched for natural beauty. I spent hours just staring at the river and hills and jungle in the background. There are better views from this place than from any of the tourist attractions in the area. The little bungalow I had was super cute and looked very Indonesian. The restaurant in the property next door, Kubu Sakian, is REALLY good and within a 5 minute walk. You can use Grab to get around locally.

There are some little things that are a not quite up to standard. One was that the sink in the bathroom smelled like sulfur every time I turned it on. I preferred to use the water from the shower. And there is a rock to stand on when you are showering in the outdoor shower that is wobbly. It might not be the best for someone who doesn’t have good balance. The other thing was the food. They bring food in from a restaurant close by and it was not good at all.

Stanza bellissima.. tutto super curato nei minimi dettagli. I proprietari molto carini e disponibili anche quando ho avuto un incidente sono venuti all'ospedale con me e mi hanno assistito.

Todo, su tranquilidad, la limpieza sobretodo, la ubicación y el cuarto de baño muy original. Es una carga de paz y espiritualidad. El personal súper súper amable . Merece mucho la pena y volveríamos a repetir. Teníamos reservado una noche y finalmente decidimos dos . La chica nos facilitó una moto para poder movernos por aquí, la habitación tenía repelente de mosquitos y todo para que la estancia fuera lo más cómoda posible y de verdad destacar la limpieza.

Me gustó todo pero si les tendría que decir algo para que mejoraran sería el desayuno que quizás es un poco pobre para los otros que nos hemos encontrado en nuestra estancia en Bali. Pero por lo demás de 10 . Repetiríamos sin duda

Geweldige idyllische plek! Fijne ruime en schone huisjes, heerlijk zwembad met een prachtig uitzicht en een fijne plek om te eten. Het personeel is super lief en behulpzaam! Ik raad iedereen die naar Sidemen gaat, om hierheen te gaan. Laat je niet afschrikken over de weg, want dat is echt maar 300 meter onverhard ofzo.

Erg mooie huisjes in sjieke Ibiza stijl, schoon, nieuw, mooi. Prachtige plek zo aan de rivier. Dichtbij mooie restaurants zoals Koli Koli, maar ook kleine fijne warungs. Een tip is om te gaan raften op de telaga rivier, als je dat boekt vanuit Ubud en je bagage meeneemt, eindig je in Sidemen. Aardige mensen, lekker ontbijt, enz.

Andere tip is dat het licht van de airco uit kan, daarmee wordt het weer donker in de kamer als je slaapt

Wunderschöne Anlage und Zimmer. Liebevolle Einrichtung und Gastfreundschaft. Wir konnten uns jederzeit mit einer Bestellung oder einem Anliegen per WhatsApp melden. Roller und Massage wurden für uns organisiert. Die Lage direkt am Fluss ist einzigartig.

Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist noch nicht richtig erschlossen.

Die riesige Anlage, mitten in der Natur, direkt neben dem Fluss ermöglicht einen sehr ruhigen und privaten Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück ist mühevoll gestaltet und gut. Die Bungalows sind besonders geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und top ausgestattet.

Leider war der Pool zu unserer Zeit nicht nutzbar und das letzte Stück der Straße, um zum Hotel zu kommen ist sehr „local“ (nicht Roller Anfängerfreundlich)

I appreciated immensly the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. As regards the location, I particulary enjoyed the fabulous river floating just below the room's terrace. A couple of beautiful small bridges are connecting the island to the mainland. Easy access to the location by car and lovely small walks to do to discover this exquisite mini island.

This place was truly 10/10. It felt like a peaceful spiritual retreat surrounded by nature and the river. Jo was incredibly kind and caring, more like a friend or family then a host. She helped us with everything, organized a great brand new scooter for a very fair price, arranged massages whenever I asked, and always made us feel at home. The massage on the veranda with the sound of the birds was unforgettable. The staff were all lovely and even washed our clothes before we left, everything came back clean and smelling amazing. Jo also makes delicious food with so much love. The breakfasts were wonderful, and we also loved the fried rice, chicken satay and pizza. The sauna with the nature view was amazing too. Everything was very clean, peaceful and comfortable. Just keep in mind this is a place deeply connected with nature, perfect if that’s what you are looking for.

Het is werkelijk een prachtig verblijf midden in het groen langs de rivier, je komt hier heerlijk tot rust. De kamers zijn heel netjes, ruim en ook nog eens mooi ingericht. Ook het eten is heerlijk, je kan zelf kiezen waar je wilt eten in het restaurant of bij je verblijf. Ook het ontbijt wordt keurig verzorgd op het door jou gewenste tijdstip. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk/behulpzaam, en de eigenaresse is een fantastische gastvrouw! Zij is altijd bereikbaar voor al je vragen van scooter verhuur tot het wassen van je kleding alles wordt snel voor een hele nette prijs geregeld, echt klasse! Kortom; dit is echt een aanrader! En wij komen hier zeker nog eens terug. Tip: maak gebruik van de taxi service via dit hotel, want de chauffeurs via Grab vragen extra toeslagen

Endroit paradisiaque... C etait juste incroyable! On a été très bien accueillis pas notre hôte qui s est montrée extrêmement sympathique, attentionnée, et disponible. Le cadre est magnifique, le service impeccable, les logements incroyables... Bref, gros coup de cœur!!

This was the most amazing place I have been at in Bali, and it’s simply too good to true. We stayed at a new gorgeous villa by the river, with a huge outside bath and super comfortable beds. The staff was the nicest people we met, helping with absolutely everything we needed and more. The resort is surrounded by rice fields and had so much space to walk around and enjoy the beauty of the valley. I must go back!!
