I love the Turtles who comes to the beach at night to lay eggs on beach. We got our airport transfer for a receanable price, the beach is so clean, breakfast is very good, good wifi, ishan gave us the chance to see the turtles laying eggs on beach live. This is a paradise.
Unfortunately this is our last days in Sri Lanka. If I knew earlier I think it would be nice.
Absolute beachfront paradise with incredible views and wonderful hosts! We had an amazing stay at Sea Crest Beach Villa Ambalangoda. The location is perfect, right on the beach, offering the absolute best sea view rooms you could ask for. Watching the sunset from here was truly the highlight of our trip—absolutely breathtaking! Beyond the stunning views and perfect beachfront location, the hosts are incredibly kind and good people. They made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful beach getaway with excellent hospitality, we highly recommend this villa. We cannot wait to come back!
That was our last days in sri Lanka.
Amazing location, great host, just incredible room at the beach. We had the best sunset of our trip in Sri Lanka here!
Only minor point was that the bathroom was not super clean.
Very good stay , friendly staffs
Very good beach view
Lage am Strand
Ziemlich heruntergekommen
Ciężko o lepszy stosunek jakości do ceny
An exceptional accommodation managed by Chathu and Ishan, a lovely family who show a great respect and kindness to all of their guests. The rooms are incredible nice, beautifully decorated and the view and direct access to the beach bring added values to this accommodation. The breakfasts and lunches were delicious; we had an authentic Sri Lankan experience. For sure, we would like to come back and have a longer stay at Sea crest beach villa to enjoy more the awesome beach and the energy of this place and hosts.
I enjoyed my stay at Sea Crest Beach Villa a lot. The location ist incredible, you have the beach just in front of your window - and that's what I wanted. I was there in off season so the tide was quite high and the sea was ruff, there is not so much of a beach to walk on in front of the villa during that time - but to me, that didn't matter. I enjoyed so much being surrounded by the sound of waves the whole time. And I could rent a scooter for a very good rate and drive to other beaches near by. And during season, you have a beautiful beach just in front of your doorstep... Chathu and Ishan were incredibly friendly hosts and I felt very welcome and well taken care of the whole time. They were so warm and loving, it was just amazing. The food was delicious and plenty! it was also possible to have dinner, which was super delicious, so beautiful to sit right at the beach and it was also for a very good price. I would recommend going there and staying for a couple of days, renting a scooter to explore the area (Galle ist also just a short and beautiful drive from there) and just enjoying the incredible location and the loving care.
When we arrived at the hotel we were taken aback by the beaches beauty, however this didn't last long.
The owner told us the hotel would get quite busy as they had the Perahera festival coming the next day - this didnt seem like an issue. This was not the full truth. For the next 3 days and 2 nights, a group of around 30 Sri Lankan men partied hard and trashed the hotel, as well as intimidated and disrespected us. It was hard for us to walk in and out as they spread out all around the doorways and stood, unmoving, in the way of entrances. Later, they became aggressive and one of them purposefully, unprovoked, launched himself as hard as he could into my partner to assault him, when we were trying to leave for dinner. They spread throughout the whole hotel, on every level and corner, playing loud music and shouting until 2.30am. Then at 3am they turned the music back on and kept partying. They left rubbish everywhere throughout the hotel and all over the beach, some of which we picked up so it wouldn't harm the animals. We told the owners about the behaviour but they just shrugged it off saying 'I can't control them'. They told us the men would leave at 9pm the second night and wouldnt come back. They had insisted on payment upfront. The second night we were so tired and the men had situated themselves right at both the doors of our room yelling, drinking, and doing drugs. We kept giving the owner updates and she kept ignoring us. At 12.30am we went out to tell the men to move. It ended up in a big argument and they told us they had paid to rent the entire hotel and they weren't aware there would be other guests. Things got very heated and nearly became physical. Eventually they agreed to move from our door. The owner then came to settle things down more (still didn't reply to us though). The men then went to the festival and came back loud and drunk at around 6am making more noise and mess. Again we told the owners what was happening but they did nothing.
The family suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable. You can hear the ocean from the room, which has a terrace that opens directly onto the beach. The lady who worked there was lovely and very helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast was generous, with a good variety of options. We only needed a place to stay for one night, and this guest house provided a clean room with basic amenities at good value.
.
The homestay was directly on the beach. Our room was very spacious, clean and we could see the ocean from our room. The breakfast was delicious with typical Sri Lankan specialties. We wanted to stay one night but prolonged it to a second night, we would even stayed longer but we had to get going.
Noting
We loved Chathu, the lady who owns the house with her husband! She is authentic, warm and caring and she and her husband made our stay wonderful (although they were busy constructing a new (big!) apartment in the building, which is nearly finished). Breakfast right in front of the room with our feet in the sand, marvelous! This is a quiet location with a beautiful broad sandy strip before you enter the (warm) sea water. With a tuktuk you can go easily to Hikkaduwa to grab a cappuccino or lunch and see the, at some parts, crowded beaches and the people who surf on the waves. Lovely place also!

Best place to stay on the west coast. Direcrky at the beach. Clean rooms, good shower, great wifi and excellent service. Highly recommended! Nice restaurant, I especially liked the grilled fish with salad. Free beach towels and bottled water.
Really kind hosts. Always there to help and support.
Beautiful room, very friendly staff and tasty food. Very close to the beach.

The villa is right on the beach, the rooms are clean, you can enjoy excellent Sri Lankan cuisine, the breakfast is plentiful and very good. The owners and the entire team are extremely friendly and accommodating and are always on hand to help and advise. The warmth is unbeatable. If you want to spend a quiet holiday on a dream beach, this is the place for you.
Fantastic beach side stay with fabulous hosts and a top class chef. Food was amazing. Great rooms with huge comfortable beds. We had the sea view which was spectacular
Nothing
Location. The most tranquil, white sand, beautiful beach and the accommodation is right at the beach or on the beach. The beach is super clean and there are no people at all. Almost your private beach. Staff and hosts are absolutely amazing, almost feels ‘homely’. Food is great too.

Excellent location. It’s right on the beach. Our room was on ground floor and the balcony door opened straight to the beach. The beach is very less crowded and you can chill and relax with your loved one without any disturbance. The owners (Chathu and Ishaan) are very cordial and they helped us with everything. They also gave me their Kayak and I had a good fun taking kayak to the ocean. Breakfast is hugeeee and delicious. Wi-fi : is Available. The router was located just outside our room and we enjoyed strong wifi even on beach. 10/10. Totally recommended of you are looking for a serene beach villa with an extremely helpful owners and staff. Rooms: Spacious and cleaned. They provide electric kettle and 3-4 towels in room. Safety: Totally safe. Staff is very helpful. It feels like home. Walkability: 1 km from Ambalangoda bus stand and market. Zero metres from beach 😃 Food & drinks: Delicious and hugeee breakfast. There is a lot of variety and it seems you are having brunch (breakfast + lunch). Mrs.Chathu was so kind. She arranged fish and eggs for my wife on request.
Nothing as such. Just that door locks and handle of ground floor room can be improved.
Just gorgeous. The husband and wife who run it are beyond lovely. The hotel is a little outside of town, but it’s on an almost private beach which is perfect - plus there is nothing to see/do in town. Amazing hospitality. Beautiful room overlooking the sea. We saw the most stunning sunset EVER!

great location right on the beach, absolutely wonderful owners, big and delicious breakfast, beautiful modern rooms
Lovely location, right on the beach. Host was super friendly, inviting us to the local temple with them which was lovely. Breakfast was tasty and huge!
We were blown away by the location. The drawn curtains revealed a sandy garden with seating and a little gate leading to the most beautiful beach. We had the beach to ourselves, so idyllic! Chatnu and Ishan were the perfect hosts, the house is big with local artwork decorating the walls. In the evening they kindly fed us Sri Lankan style, the food was superb. When we were leaving Chatnu offered to drive us to our next destination, even on Poya day, a day when he should have been relaxing! Great hospitality and host we will remember for a long time. Thank you 😀
Nothing, it was perfect
Not clean. Room door was a plastic shower door
I liked everything about the place! The location directly at the beach was perfect. A really nice beach; beautiful water, white sand and not even crowded. The food in the hotel was really good too, both breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms were clean and had an ac. And best of all were the host, so nice people. They would bring everything we needed right away and were friendly all the time. All in all we had a great time at sea crest hotel and I would definitely recommend it!
Free parking, nice view, quiet beach
Wifi didnt work at all, A/C didnt work properly, hard to sleep because balcony door is next to the door and there is no curtain/blind, balcony too small, 1 chair only
The location was stunning, overlooking the beautiful clean beach to the rear of the property. The veranda was a lovely place to have meals and take in the views.
We were given the most basic rooms overlooking the road even though we had booked the deluxe rooms. They were very small and made it difficult to function. The window blinds did not fit the windows but they were super clean and the staff were so nice we decided not to question it plus we were staying just the one night.
Absolutely excellent. Though it's not a star hotel the property had all what we need to enjoy to the maximum with my family members. The property owners were very cooperative. Food and other supportive facilities provided by Supun & Nalani was beyond our expectations.
Food & beach front was excellent. very homely atmosphere.
Excellent
The location is exceptional. The hotel is situated right in front of the beach. It's a long beach with plenty of space to enjoy. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is very helpful. Furthermore, the price is very reasonable, especially considering the hotel's prime location.
