Dès notre arrivée nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement par les enfants et le propriétaire (qui est allé nous chercher à manger car nous n’avions pas déjeuné , très appréciable :) La chambre est confortable et très propre (appréciable!) Le Homestay est légèrement loin du centre mais l’avantage c’est que c’est très calme et reposant ! Et il est possible de louer un scooter :) Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !😉

This place is in a beautiful location, surrounded by greenery and away from the noise of the roads, making it very peaceful and relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable, and the family was incredibly lovely and welcoming. They also prepared seriously delicious food, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place.

Siamo stati molto bene, la famiglia è molto simpatica, all' inizio volevamo noleggiare le bici ma poi abbiamo visitato diversi posti accompagnati dal proprietario col tuk tuk a prezzi onesti, ed è stata un'ottima scelta. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo! Mentre eravamo li c'erano altri turisti con cui abbiamo cenato e chiacchierato. Lo consigliamo vivamente.

J’ai passé un très bon séjour dans cet établissement. La famille est vraiment adorable, très accueillante et toujours à l’écoute. Ils font tout pour que l’on passe un agréable séjour. What a beautiful experience, Ruwan was an amazing host. The place is very close to the jungle, so we saw many animal just from the balcony. The hospitality was great, the food delicious and we definitely enjoyed the time there. Thank you for everything. 🫶

Ruwen und seine familie sind unglaublich freundliche und hilfsbereite gastgeber. Die ausstattung ist zweckmässig und gut: gutes bett mit moskitonetz, gute dusche, gratis w-lan, möglichkeit den kühlschrank zu nutzen, sitzmöglichkeiten auf der terrasse. Ruwen ist sehr unterstützend und jeden wunsch möglich. Der ort liegt etwas ausserhalb in einem wohnquartier im wald und in der nähe eines sees. Ich konnte vor ort ein fahrrad mieten mit handyhalter und konnte damit die gegend erkunden und alle sehenswürdigkeiten um anuradhapura gut erreichen. Herzlichen dank ruwen, ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen!

Ich war im erdgeschoss. Allenfalls netze vor den fenstern, damit man die fenster offen lassen kann.

Ruwan e sua moglie sono stati meravigliosi! Una famiglia bellissima che vive in una casa praticamente in mezzo alla giungla, immersa nel verde. Il cibo preparato da loro era squisito. Sono tornata anche una seconda volta dopo una settimana 😊

Ci vorrebbe un po' più di silenzio....

L’hôte est très serviable et accueillant. Logement au calme dans un cadre naturel au bord de la jungle. La chambre est propre et vaste ainsi que la salle de bain. Une moustiquaire vous protègera des moustiques. J’ai pu louer un vélo sur place et l’hôte saura vous conseiller sur les lieux à visiter.

Seule la connexion wifi empêche la note maximale. Malgré les efforts de l’hôte, la connexion n’était pas fiable

The host and family went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and inviting. The host was so kind and managed to arrange and do anything I asked. This included getting me on the AC bus after there was a big line.

There were quite a lot of ants on floor. I am not sure if they came in through a hole.

Souci léger et pas dérangeant: des reflux de tuyauterie donnait parfois à la salle de bain une légère odeur désagréable.

Beautiful property by the lake and jungle. I loved biking to main attractions. Room was comfortable and breakfast / dinner was so delicious! Family very nice and good vibes.

You will need tuktuk to get places unless you bike. Owner can drive you around which was nice, and you can eat their home cooked meals

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, shuttelservice, gutes Essen, Fahrradverlei, nur 3,5 km zu den Tempelanlagen, äußerst ruhige Lage inmitten der typischen Dschungel-Villages. Das nächste Mal gerne wieder Forest View Homestay.

Lovely family, what a teamwork! Always local food at our disposal whenever needed. The host is always willing to help plan trips and guide you for a really great price (i recommend the afternoon mihintale trip). Great environment in the jungle aswell, we even saw a giant forrest squirrel while eating. Tip: go for a walk arround the closest lake to see some monkeys and birds play around in the magnificent trees. Oyeah wilpatu safari is amazing aswell!

Die Familie war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir waren 2 Nächte da (in dem Zimmer mit A/C). Der Gastgeber hat mit uns eine Tour zu Mihintale gemacht für 5.000LKR. Das war super. Er hat auch wunderschöne Zwischenstopps für uns gemacht und ist auf jeden unserer Wünsche eingegangen. Wir haben zudem in der Unterkunft essen gebucht. Es war lecker und abwechslungsreich. Wir konnten traditionelle Gerichte probieren. Vegetarisch war kein Problem! Einiges war Vegan! Klima funktionierte sehr gut. In der Dusche haben wir nicht herausfinden können wie man das Wasser warm stellt. Für uns gab’s einfach eine kalte Dusche war auch okay so. Der Gastgeber hat uns zudem eine Safari organisiert. Er hat uns ebenfalls geholfen den richtigen Bus zu finden etc. Insgesamt sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas hellhörig. Dafür kann die nette Familie natürlich nichts! Einfach Ohrstöpsel und man kann prima schlafen.

Tout était vraiment parfait...Notre hôte et sa famille très accueillant, pleins de bons conseils ,très opérationnel et réactif dans nos demandes. Le lieu est très beau , un peu éloigné de la cohue de la ville mais très accessible en scooter ou tuktuk... à 10mn pour visiter les sites. Grand merci encore de nous,avoir accompagné avec son propre tuktuk jusqu'à la station de bus lors de notre départ....bref nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour ! La maison est au milieu de la nature, c'est donc très paisible. La chambre était propre et spacieuse. Nos hôtes étaient très gentils et chaleureux, ils nous ont cuisiné de super repas ! Tout était parfait.

The people at Forest View Homestay are the kindest people we have met in Sri Lanka🙏🏻 For a few days it feels like you are part of their family Their kids are always energetic and greeting you :) The food we had at the homestay was amazing and for a good price😋 The room was clean as well and there is an option to rent their bicycles 🚲 If we are ever in the Anuradhapura again we would come back to see these nice and kind people again🙏🏻

We loved staying with this beautiful family in Sri Lanka. They are so welcoming and happy and really looked after us. We stayed twice! The food was lovely and the children were a joy!

首先家庭式旅馆，一家五口三层小楼庭院环绕，住在森林里的感觉。在湖边，虽然不是靠近城镇，但是突突本身很方便，而且都可以在这里直接点早餐晚餐，女主人每天都会征求你对餐食的要求。他们一家太棒了，超级友善，我在这里租了自行车，环游一天，太喜欢阿努拉德普勒了。可惜之后没房了，要不然想住一周。也可以让男主人突突带你古城转，还可以去隔壁的mihintale 去转的。反正强推，这里比new town 舒服太多啦。

L’hôte et sa famille sont au petits soins pour notre confort. On peut y louer des vélos et le tuk-tuk familial est disponible pour nous déposer a l’arrêt de bus ou nous faire des visites.

Sehr netter Gastgeber/Familie, er hat alles für uns organisiert, hat uns überall hingefahren mit seinem TukTuk wohin wir auch wollten, seine Frau hat super leckeres Abendessen für uns gemacht, alle sehr sehr lieb und herzlich gewesen. Saßen mit dem Gastgeber zusammen, haben Bier getrunken & viel gequatscht :)

Ganz tolle Unterkuft mit einer sehr, sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Gastfamilie! Es gab lekeres lokale Frühstück und Dinner. Der Gastgeber hat mit uns eine tolle Tour nach Minthale gemacht und auch eine gute Safari in Wilpattu Nationalpark organisiert. Unser Tip: Minthale Udawaluwa bei Sonnenuntergang!

Rooms are basic, clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. Run by a friendly family. Small kitchen and dining facilities available. Located in clam area bid away from town.

This was an overnight stop only for us..this place suited us well, comfy bed, aircon and clean bathroom., just what we needed. We arrived latish but we're welcomed and quickly shown our room and where to make a cup of tea..lovely quiet area, no traffic noise , good sleep.Excellent breakfast provided in the morning, enjoyed sitting on the balcony surrounded by trees and bird song...delightful host family

The fridge in the shared area was filthy, you would not want to put anything in there!!!

The host and their family were very kind, polite, and welcoming. The place was spacious and clean, with air conditioning, hot water, and a well-equipped attached bathroom. We had good Wi-Fi, and it was only a few minutes’ drive to Ruwanweliseya and Sri Maha Bodhiya. Overall, great value for the money.

Amazing place, good facilities and the kindest family. It’s close to the forest but also not far from the city and very close to all the temples. Perfect place to relax and also stay with lovely family. Food is delicious too, I had breakfast and dinner here for 2 days and it was great! They really help plan your visit and offer good local recommendations - highly recommend!

It was yet my best stay in Sri Lanka and I am here 4 weeks. The room was finally QUIET! I was not disturbed by any noises, it is located near the road but far enough to not hear noises. The staff was super helpful, they offer you meals with additonal payment, it was so cozy! I would say: RECCOMEND!

The only thing I would change is maybe the price of the AC because when I asked (which was also weird because If i didnt i would not know it) they told me the price rises 5 dollars. For one night i think Its too much, 5 dollars additonal for AC. All the other things were perfect. Aleo without AC it was super cool! There are fans and unlike in other places i have been, they are doing their work! Its like having an AC! It was very comfortable at my room.

We were really well taken care of by a lovely family. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The linen sheets were cooling. The mosquito net was helpful and the air con worked perfectly. The food was lovely and the went out of their way to get us plasters which was so kind of them. They were friendly too.

The WiFi was weak, the hot water didn’t work and it wasn’t the best location for us.

We had such a peaceful and beautiful stay at this home stay. Highly recommend stopping in here on your visit to Anuradhapura. The hosts were super welcoming and helpful, made us feel like part of the family. Very clean and tidy spaces. The home cooked dinner and breakfast was DELICIOUS and can highly recommend the tuk tuk adventure to see Mihintele at sunset 🏔️🙂

We stayed one (very stormy) night! The room was clean and comfortable and our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast were excellent, I would strongly recommend getting both! The location was a little out of the way but was very quiet and leafy.

Loved our stay here! The family are so friendly & welcoming! The food at the homestay was so so tasty & very good value for money! Our room was so spacious & comfy and the AC was good!

We stayed in a non AC room the first night and everything got very damp due to the humid weather - would recommend an AC room!!

The homely feel as soon as you arrive, you were greeted like one of the family, It felt that even though we paid a small amount, we were given the best room. The location was great for exploring the sacred and new town, we went to the Isurumiya Temple, where we were greeted with a local guide Nimal ( What's app +94 0713993182), we normally wouldn't respond to local tour guides that approach us but he was very gentle in his pitch, he charged us 1500 Rupee to show us around the temple, he was smartly dressed and usually is around the tuk tuk part of the car park. This was only a 10/15 minute drive from the homestay, along with lots of other attractions that were cheap to get into. In addition to this we went to the Mihinthalaya Rajamaha Viharaya for sunset, this was about a 30 min drive(slightly longer in a tuk tuk) again a small cost to get in, 1000 rupee. It does get busy so get there early. So all in all this a fantastic base for exploring, even down one of the nearby dirt roads, there was lake with some monkeys which was like a scene out of the jungle book. For Sunrise head to the main road the homestay is off of, you can see there is a large lake (Thisa Weta) where you can see one of the many Stupas in the distance, this was absolutely stunning with the local wildlife. It was approximately 20 mins walk if that or a 5 min drive to the side of the road, if you drive round the lake in time for the beginning of sunrise you can get a clear shot of the sun rising alongside the Stupa. The family makes you feel like you are their only guest and puts you first everytime, they charged us a minimal cost for the laundry, dinner and breakfast. The food was delicious and for breakfast due to the new year celebrations they put on an array of foods. We loved our stay a Forest View, so much so that we were going to recommend the stay to put on the tuk tuk rental website for others to enjoy.

Great food and great people, the children are friendly as are the parents. Recently built so the bathroom was great, the whole place was clean and quiet enough.

A bit isolated if you are staying for several days. You can rent bicycles though. Wifi didn't work during our stay.

For us one of the best stays so far in 3 months of travelling different countries. Very kind family who want to help you with everything. The wife also made us the best Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner we have had so far! Next to that the room was spacious, clean and things like AC and shower worked perfectly. All that for a budget price, would recommend this place to everyone!!

The family is really lovely, they arranged for us everything we needed: from renting a bike to tuktuks and dinner and breakfast. Meals were amazing, here we had the best dahl we've ever had in a month.

We had a lovely stay at this homestay. The family is incredibly heartwarming and made us feel like home so much. You should definitely try the dinner here - it was the best we had in Sri Lanka for a fair price and a huge portion. The rooms have all you need, the location is really good to check out the temples or the city by bicycle (you can rent them here) and they organize a tuk tuk driver or a Safari to Wilpattu for you. We’d definitely come back! Thank you so much for having us!

Nice house in a quiet location a bit outside of civilization. Room ok. Home made food is fresh and nice, although a bit overpriced and monothematic. The family Is super sweet, but... See negatives...

First of all, we were sad to see that the sum of the bill was 3000rs wrong-higher ("mistake, sorry") ?? Hope it was a mistake. One of the bicycles we rented was hardly ridable piece of crap. WiFi not working and limited privacy - there's a nice terrasse but the family is just around all the time.

Very clean and in a quiet location, surrounded by vegetation. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and amazingly delicious.
