Riad L'Artiste

Fra i diversi riad in cui siamo stati durante il nostro viaggio in Marocco, questo è stato senza dubbio il nostro preferito. La posizione è ottima: in circa 10 minuti si raggiunge la via principale di Fes e allo stesso tempo è molto vicino ad un punto in cui arrivano le macchine, utile se si vuole andare in luoghi fuori Fes o fuori dalla Medina. La struttura è bella, pulita e suggestivo. Senza dubbio però il valore aggiunto è Samira, che ci ha davvero fatti sentire come a casa. Una sera abbiamo anche approfittato della possibilità di cenare in riad e abbiamo mangiato molto bene.

Bellissimo Riad situato in un luogo tranquillo,ma basta girare e perdersi nei vicoli vicini e si è nel souk della Medina. Proprietaria gentilissima..colazione super e stanze da 1000 ed una notte.

Notre séjour en famille n'aurait pas été le même sans l'accueil chaleureux de Samira. Elle a été aux petits soins avec nous et s'est assurée que l'on ne manquait de rien. Merci encore ! Le Ryad est très bien situé, joliment décoré et sa terrasse est vraiment un plus. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Nous avons passé 5 nuits au Riad l'Artiste qui est très beau et joliment décoré. Notre séjour a été très agréable grâce à Samira, la maîtresse de maison, qui a été serviable, attentionnée et prévenante. Elle a toujours répondu à nos demandes, nous a guidés dans nos recherches, a été le contact avec les chauffeurs.... Grâce à elle, nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances. Un soir, elle nous a préparé un très bon couscous ! Merci beaucoup Samira pour votre accueil bienveillant.

Une petite odeur d'humidité a été un peu gênante dans la chambre du RDC. Mais on ne passe pas beaucoup de temps dans la chambre alors....

Nous avons vraiment apprécié la chaleureuse hospitalité du personnel. Samira a été d’une grande aide pour nous accompagner pendant notre séjour. De bons conseils, de la bonne nourriture du très bon thé. Le Riad l’Artiste est un lieu dans lequel on se sent bien, assez intimiste, on se sent comme à la maison. Le toit-terrasse était vraiment agréable en fin de journée pour venir se relaxer et admirer l’étendue de la médina.

Honnêtement, nous avons passé un super séjour.

Riad l'Artiste si trova in una posizione a nostro dire perfetta, all'estremità della Medina in una zona tranquilla e comunque ben servita. La camera "Cedres" a noi assegnata era estremamente spaziosa per quattro persone, (3 letti matrimoniali e 1 singolo) pulita, accogliente con arredi tipici del luogo. E poi c'è Samira, la proprietaria, che con le sue premure ha reso il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile, ottima la colazione così come le cene e gli innumerevoli the alla menta, per comodità e sicurezza abbiamo scelto di cenare in Riad, Samira ci ha preparato tante squisite prelibatezze. Grazie anche ad Ahkmed la nostra guida che ci ha fatto scoprire Fez in lungo ed in largo. consiglio questo Riad.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in einem fantastischen Haus. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll und sauber und mit Samira war es sehr nett und hilfsbereit, vielen Dank!

A veces se siente olor a humedad.

Buena ubicación, personal atento y super amable. El desayuno estaba rico. El agua caliente de la ducha salía sin problema, agradable.

El baño estaba en planta alta subiendo escaleras y era incómodo para maquillarse o usar el lavabo.

Duzy Riad prowadzony przez przemiłą Panią. Nocleg bisko wygodnego parkingu miejskiego, nie było problemu z zostawieniem auta, co w Fezie jest jest takie oczywiste.

Wymaga drobnych napraw i wymiany zużytych rzeczy.

Fenomenalno. Prekrasna soba, velika, čista in ima vse potrebno.Posebna, umetniški slog.Top lokacija... Hvala Samira za prijetno bivanje, zajtrk, čaj zvečer..

De locatie en het mooie interieur

Bellissima la camera in stile tradizionale, spaziosa e con un letto King size, anche il bagno, ampio e carino. Sul tetto del Riad c'è anche una bella terrazza. Peccato abbiamo trovato brutto tempo, è piovuto sempre, quindi ne abbiamo usufruito poco. Molto gentile la signora che ci ha accolto all'arrivo e che ci ha servito le colazioni. La posizione è perfetta, molto vicina alla medina, ma non dentro, dove è facile perdersi. Ci si arriva facilmente e da lì ci si può spostare ovunque; a due passi c'è un parcheggio a prezzi contenuti

La camera è molto grande, ma non c'è un vero armadio, ci siamo arrangiati con il divano e l'appendiabiti. La pulizia non è il punto forte della struttura, ma è accettabile. La colazione non è tra le migliori che ho trovato in Marocco, niente di che.

Calidad precio del sitio está bien. Está a unos 10 minutos de la Medina

El baño de la habitación estaba en otra planta y había que subir unas escaleras para acceder a él, siendo bastante incómodo. El techo del baño tenía una humedad bastante grande y un olor a tubería. Las toallas se nota que tienen bastante uso ya que estaban desgastadas y con un color bastante marrón en lugar de blanco. El ruido de la cocina por la mañana se escucha bastante si tienes el suelo ligero. El desayuno es un poco pobre, no deja de ser pan y bollería, si quieres un desayuno típico tienes que ir a probarlo a otro sitio

Qualité prix imbattable !! La gentillesse du personnel, le lieu en lui meme magnifique, la qualité des repas et l’emplacement. Le riad est authentique, un vrai travail d’artisanat!

Esperienza indimenticabile. Il Riad è uno dei più belli visitati durante la nostra vacanza in Marocco. Le camere erano molto curate e pulite. La signora (proprietaria) è stata una delle persone più gentili e disponibili incontrate, ci ha preparato una colazione super ricca e fatta con tanto amore. Ha due gatti splendidi e super dolci. Consiglio a tutti di passare almeno una notte, perché è una vera e propria coccola.

The manager and cleaning lady are fantastic as like the rooms and the whole riad. Really an amazing place.

Just a bit out of the way from main action, but in 15 minutes you are at the blue gate.

The hotel was lovely, and the receptionist was very welcoming. I liked a lot the decorations with many items and traditional aesthetics. The breakfast was great—especially the jams, which were absolutely delicious! There are plenty of restaurants and activities nearby, and the beds were very comfortable.

El personal, Samira, y el ambiente auténtico del Riad.

La propietaria francesa no invierte en mantenimiento y el edificio está bastante degradado.

Il riad è molto curato e accogliente, sia nelle parti comuni al piano terra sia sulla terrazza, davvero piacevole. Un ringraziamento speciale alla signora Samira per la sua grande cortesia: ci ha accolti nonostante il nostro arrivo molto tardivo nella notte e ogni mattina ha preparato colazioni meravigliose. La posizione è estremamente comoda, facilmente raggiungibile sia in taxi sia a piedi, ideale per muoversi nella medina. Ottimi anche i servizi extra offerti, dal trasferimento in taxi dall’aeroporto alla guida in italiano che ci ha accompagnati alla scoperta della città.

L’unico neo, che non incide comunque su una valutazione complessivamente molto positiva, è l’umidità e la temperatura piuttosto fresca della stanza; sebbene fosse riscaldata, i bagni risultavano comunque freddi. Probabilmente abbiamo soggiornato nei giorni più freddi e piovosi che Fez abbia avuto da anni.

Beautifully designed riad and room, very comfortable and warm in December. The staff were kind and welcoming. Everything was clean, with lots of hot water. Excellent value for money. Perfect location — restaurants close by and parking just around the corner.

Semira è stata eccezionale e gentilissima, ci ha spiegato cosa vedere a Fes, come comportarci per strada, etc.,ci ha sempre offerto il tè, davvero ospitale! Inoltre la sua cucina è eccellente, abbiamo cenato entrambe le sere al Riad. La struttura è incantevole e la posizione ottima, a dieci minuti a piedi dalla porta principale e dalla Medina. Comodo il parcheggio a cinque minuti a piedi, se come noi viaggiate in macchina, ed economico (40 dirham al giorno, circa 3,50 euro).

La struttura e la camera erano pulitissime, ma le lenzuola leggermente sporche. Il nostro bagno aveva la muffa sul soffitto.

L’accessibilité du logement : ruelles très étroites et cul de sac, parking trop éloigné et logement sur plusieurs étages (montées des escaliers avec les valises pas simple)

Le repas du soir préparé par notre hôte à notre arrivée tardive sur notre demande. Très bon accueil, avec la réservation d'un guide pour le lendemain. Nous avons pu laisser nos bagages pendant la journée. Chambres et intérieur magnifique, authentique. Nous recommandons.

A large room in this beautiful traditional Riad. Lovely breakfast and we had a couple of good evening meals. Good location for being dropped off by car and about a 15 minute walk to the centre of the Medina

The bathroom was up a steep winding staircase. Whilst it was in the style of a Riad it perhaps could have done with slightly more decoration. As it has no ventilation it was also very stuffy .

We hebben genoten van dit verblijf in Fez. Je kunt dichtbij, in de straat erachter, voor 20dh per dag parkeren. De gastvrouw was een hele vriendelijke vrouw, die haar uiterste best deed om het ons naar het zin te maken. Ze sprak geen Engels maar deed haar best in communicatie! Bij aankomst kregen we thee. We moesten de laatste dag vroeg vertrekken en kregen op aanvraag al heel vroeg ons ontbijt, super lief! Je zit op loopafstand van de medina, 15-20 minuten lopen, maar wel heerlijk rustig. Het dakterras is fijn om te gebruiken. We zouden deze plek absoluut aanraden!

Het enige is dat de badkamer klein is en oud, maar het is oke als je kijkt naar de prijs/kwaliteit

Samira was very friendly and a great cook. Had two dinners there. Abit of a walk through the streets of the Medina to get to the main shopping streets. Easy access near the pharmacy for taxi.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Location was perfect: just one block from a road accessible by car, making easily reach for taxis and tours. The Riad and rooms were beautiful, well renovated and decorated.

We liked the atmosphere and location. The room was spacious. The interior of the riad is impressive.

Our experience at the riad was unfortunately overshadowed by the behavior of the woman in charge, who was unprofessional, unwelcoming, and at times openly hostile. She appeared upset that we chose not to book dinner at the riad, as we had already made plans with friends during our stay in Fez. At one point, she instructed the staff not to speak to us or assist with our luggage. She withheld mention of a required cash payment until we were departing and selectively pretended not to understand English when discussing important issues—yet had no problem speaking English when we accidentally left behind a bag of purchased items. In addition, the welcome tea was not served in the traditional Moroccan way—it was brought to us already poured in glasses, not served from a kettle. We stayed for two nights and three days, and during that entire time, she never introduced herself. We also overheard her speaking disrespectfully to one of the staff members, Kartik, who was otherwise exceptionally professional and kind. I truly wish him well wherever his talents are more appreciated, as he exemplified the warmth and hospitality of Morocco. I would not recommend this riad—not because of the property itself, but entirely due to the conduct of the woman managing it.

It’s a true gem—quiet, beautiful, clean, and with a lovely view of the city from the terrace. Getting there by taxi was easy. We ordered dinner from the host, and Samira cooked the best tajine and couscous we had—better and more affordable than in local restaurants. Tarik was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We spent three nights here and enjoyed every second of it.

Beautiful Riad in Fes. The Riad is located in a quiet street at the outskirt of the Old Medina. Our room was huge. Nice breakfast and great dinner on request.

Thank you Tarik and Samira for making us feel at home. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and Tarik did his outmost best to help us with anything we needed. We loved the breakfast and relaxing on the rooftop. The riad is just outside of the busy streets of the medina and everything within walking distance or a 1€ cab ride.

It was a beautiful riad and had everything we wanted.

There was nothing.

The location was close to a road so getting taxis was easy. It was also in a less touristy part of town near Bab Jdadi, which was perfect for us. There were a few good restaurants we really liked within a few minutes walk. The riad let us cook in their kitchen and do our laundry which was great for us for a long-term stay. Thank you for the room upgrade! We liked having keys to the riad and our room so we were free to come and go.

We are not cat people so weren’t crazy about their pet cat especially while we were cooking or eating. Some of the staff changed frequently except for the manager, who did not speak English. We relied on the other English -speaking staff who left after our first week.

Impressing place - the architecture is amazing, rooms are very comfortable. Close to the center of Medina.

This is a beautiful Riad set within the Medina of Fes. The location is brilliant and only a short walk from the main attractions of the city. Our room was HUGE! We even had an upstairs bathroom, get the downstairs Persanne room if you can. The ladies running the place were really lovely and welcoming, offering us tea at any time of day. The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. We particularly loved the gorgeous cat Mimi who lives here 😍

Truly beautiful riad! We were the only guests while we were here (low season) so it was very quiet, but the girl who worked there was so attentive and lovely!!

the riad was quality and looked authentic. my room on the ground floor was spacious and i loved the decorations. i felt like staying in the terrace on a sunny day it was so peaceful.

A nice location just within the medina walls. Easy to find and parking is nearby. The rooms were very well appointed and clean. Breakfast was a typical Moroccan breakfast and was nicely prepared.

The parking was a bit a of a hustle by a young man, who wanted to take us to a restaurant of his friends and when we didn't like the place, he was trying to get more money from us. He seemed to be affiliated with the property, but I am not sure.

The property is an amazing building very comfortable with big room and super staff family that helped us. The breakfast is very good. There is also the possibility to dinner in the riad but is expensive.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in. If you're in Fes then I'd highly recommend you stay here. Staff were so kind, professional, and welcoming. The decor is utterly stunning. A gorgeous peaceful haven away from the bustle of the rest of the town.

Attractive historic building with a nice roof terrace. The room was as pictured and spacious with effective air conditioning. It was up flights of steep narrow steps

Our main issue was the location, you are outside the main tourist area in a more local area but given that Fes is a very confusing city to negotiate on your own this is a major issue unless you want to be guided from the door by paid guides. We were hassled in the street walking back and it's very easy to get lost in the winding streets and alleyways. The only staff member we met was a young girl who was pleasant but not interested in helping us negotiate the city give recommendations etc. This was unlike other riads we stayed in during our Moroccan trip. Breakfast was very basic and needed to be at a time agreed the night before and having asked for some boiled water for. a cup of my own herb tea we were charged 2 euros for bottled water.

The people who worked in the riad were very friendly and helpful. The room was very big and we liked the architecture.

The breakfast is very tasty. The location is good, really close to the medina. Everything was clean and the staff was helpful. Bonus points to Mimi, the cat that lives there.

There was no ventilation system in the bathroom and no shower curtains or windows in the room so it took a long time for the bathroom floor to be dry after showers. Although this is manageable with an extra towel
