Nothing!!!!!
The property is outdated, there are also a lot of bugs and at night there’s no proper lighting. To get to your room at night, is like a horror movie. The AC in the room does not cold and it’s far from the bed.
The pool is amazing. I was there almost every day. Breakfast was also pretty good.
Very old property and it has a lot of little quirks. You will need to embrace the go-with-the-flow attitude of the carribean.
- amazing view - friendly cleaning lady - old architecture
- staff not very helpful to find breakfast or reception area - no-one coming to room to help - fan didn't work - run down property - noise from city below and neighbouring property
Extremely Disturbing, Unsafe and Unsanitary Experience
I loved the big spacious rooms, the view and the abundance of fruit growing on the resort. It was beyond beautiful, breathtaking in fact and makes the resort. The cleaning staff and reception were very warm and sweet, helping us in their own way when we asked for something. It's a relaxed resort and things seem to move at a slower pace. The view of the pitons were mind-blowing, we don't get to see such natural beauty every day living in the UK. It's certainly not something I would take for granted and we enjoyed the free room upgrade: sitting on the balcony, watching the view and feeling free, in paradise. Infinity pool is hidden away but absolutely awesome, don't miss it during your stay! The complimentary fruits was a nice touch and we enjoyed the wax apples and juicy mangoes. The receptionist / security team were warm and helpful, up for a conversation and knowledgable about the island. Problem with mosquitoes in our room - cleaning staff sprayed the room for us which helped, as I was being eaten alive! I really, really, really disliked our toilet. The seat itself was made of some kind of sponge, it had stains on it and a "crack" in the middle-half of it, filled with a line of...dried brown substance. The toilets in the airport were cleaner and for someone with OCD, I had to shower every time I used it. Please, change the toilet seat in room 3, it's not sanitary (or comfortable) whatsoever and the first thing my partner and I said on our return was how much we'd missed our toilet. In hindsight, we should have said something but we didn't think they would be able to change the whole seat during our 7 day stay. Instead, we made the best of situation by showering and enjoying the spacious room and view.
I also noticed that even with room service, sometimes the floors & sink hadn't been wiped down properly. We killed a cockroach on one night and I was too scared to move it: the cleaner did but left the cockroach blood all over the floor for our remaining stay which shocked me. In terms of cleanliness, it could have been better and wasn't to the best standard. Lastly, and this is sad to say because I had a soft spot for him - the chef on site, Shane, didn't always make service times comfortable. On the one hand, he had his own charm and cut up the fruits / displayed items beautifully. At other times, we felt we were inconveniencing him. Our friend with kids was staying a few doors down and waited nearly every day for him to arrive (we were told breakfast starts at 7.30am and later told it was 8am). On one day we wanted chips at 7.10pm and he'd gone home already. 8am - 7pm is a long day but surely you can get someone for the morning and afternoon shifts? We were told the breakfast is continental & whilst the fruits were always cut up beautifully, the toast was sometimes luke-warm bordering on cold, and needed more time in the toaster. We were never asked how we'd like our eggs and always served in the same way as the day before, we learned to ask before preparation "please can we have our eggs fried today", but it always felt like we were asking too much. We asked for pancakes one day (which were awesome btw) and were told "no because I'd have to make them from scratch". This was so confusing given there were only 2 of us at service and it's not hard to mix eggs milk and flour. I was also served gone off milk on one of the days, Shane was apologetic of course but it put me off my breakfast. He could have done more to be welcoming & accommodating, but even with the limitations of service we still liked him and mostly enjoyed what we were given.

Outdated. Power Outage
Great location w/ beautiful views
The rooms were not cleaned daily and we received many bug bites during the night.
The breakfast was good and staff was nice and very helpful.
I didn’t really like some of the furniture and having no TV in room. Specially the patio/deck furniture should be upgraded.
the view and the restaurant were both amazing
Remote location / View / Pool
Staff Approach - Intrusive Room Turnover wasnt the best, Burnt or not working lights Asked for Iron and got a non functional one Asked for something as simple as coffee and was mate to feel like it was too much trouble.
View!!!! Huge room. Extremely rustic, which we loved!
The walk down to the pool is lined with fruit and nut trees. We loved exploring the grounds. The view from the room was lovely. The staff were kind.
The water smelled of volatile acid, the property feels run down. The old pool isn’t well kept and still very prominent. No signs to tell you where to go to the other pool. There isn’t much to the lobby and the the kitchen wasn’t flexible. It is remote compared to other hotels and very difficult to get transportation.
The location, the infinity pool and the people
Location was perfect for my husband and I. Our purpose for being on the South Island was to climb the Pitons. We had a beautiful view of the Pitons from our balcony, just perfect ❤️

the view and the pool and the property was charming
the smell of the cleaning of the room
Rien
Amazing location with breathtaking view. Super close to town and restaurants. Great infinity pool with pitons view. Cute farm with lots of fruit trees and very cute donkey.
A little noisy at night when there is a party in the town. While it was clean, the rooms themselves were a bit old. A bit of a walk from the room to the breakfast area.
The view, the balcony, beds, the infinity pool.
The man running the kitchen was not friendly at all. There was supposed to be fresh fruit daily in the rooms and there was not. The pool chairs at the infinity pool were very uncomfortable to lay in. Had to ask for bottled water in the room which was supposed to be refreshed daily.
I liked the beautiful greenery and the staff were delightful.
Fantastic views and extremely helpful and friendly staff.
There was nowhere to hang my clothes and I had thought there was a cooker top, cooking everything in a microwave is somewhat of a challenge.

The staff who prepared and clean our room as well as the gentleman who was all by himself doing all of the morning cooking and the evening cooking in the restaurant were phenomenal. They were so friendly and did the best that they could. The infinity pool overlooking the pitons were gorgeous. We had it all to ourselves at times. The location was easy to drive up to as we rented our own vehicle and we felt safe the entire stay. The pricing was good for the area. The garden room bed is comfortable and they offer free breakfast every morning, which definitely was a plus!
We booked a king luxury room, but upon arrival, they said it was not ready or available so they gave us a different room. I was a little disappointed for not getting the room that we wanted. They tried to make it right by giving us a two story villa. The two-story villa bed was rather stiff and uncomfortable, and the dogs that are right outside the room barked all night so it was hard to have a good night sleep.
The best thing about this property is definitely the location. It’s in a very peaceful and quiet area and beautify view of the pitons.
Unfortunately, the property itself felt quite dated and not very well maintained. The building appears old and somewhat neglected. When we checked in, we found hair on the sheets and pillowcases, which suggested the bedding had not been properly cleaned. There were also visible marks on the walls and in the kitchenette area, which made the room feel less clean than expected. The restaurant and breakfast offering were also below average and quite limited compared to what we anticipated.
The staff were friendly and the view from the restaurant is good.
1. Bed bugs!!!! 2. The room we booked was meant to have a balcony that overlooked the Pitons. On arrival we were told the room had water damage and they need to put is in a different room; we later discovered that this in face just occupied by another guest. 3. The replacement room had no view and was filthy; the bed had been made but the sheets had not been changed and clearly had stains, hair and dirt on them. The toilet seat also had urine on it. 4. We were told that there were no clean sheets available. We were then put into a replacement (replacement) room. This was even smaller and was just as filthy,. 5. The new room had bed bugs, cockroaches and was extremely dated. To compound mattes there was no noise attenuation and snoring could be heard through the ceiling and through a losely fitting door adjoining the next room that was behind the bed. 6. There was severe leak and water was pouring through the ceiling in the bathroom and drained into the bedroom. Also when the neighbouring room turned on the bathroom light, it lit up our bathroom and woke us up. 7. The toiletries were used or left by other guests 8. The mini bar was empty (not even water). On arrival we asked if there was anywhere we could be get a beer and were told that we would have to take a taxi into town ($15usd each way), in fact we could have gone to the on site restaurant 9. At breakfast (which was quite nice) I asked for a second cup of coffee but was told that this was outside the scope of the hotel breakfast voucher. 10. There as no safe and the door handle to the room was lose and did not feel secure.
The location was outstanding, the infinity pool was heaven. I liked that so few guests stay there, it didn’t feel crowded ever. There’s only a handful of rooms. Felt like we had to place to ourselves often
It could use a good sprucing up. It was nice having a little kitchenette, but it would be helpful to have a knife big enough to cut a pineapple. The independent restaurant needs an overhaul.
Great location! It was $1 million dollar view! It was conveniently located to many beaches, providing you have a car. The included breakfasts were appreciated since there are not any other restaurants within walking distance .
No hot water for showers! The room itself was spacious, but lacking in basic amenities such as hair dryer and kitchen supplies. The bathroom was dirty and even when we asked for maid service, it didn’t get cleaned. There was a palm tree obstructing our view from the room balcony, so the view of the Pitons could only be seen from other areas of the property. Poorly lit at night, could use some lighting on the road since it is very uneven. There were two pools; one was unusable due to algae in the water and the other pool closed at 5:00. There were no umbrellas for shade and not enough loungers for all guests. The whole place was sadly run down and unkept. It’s too bad, because it has such potential for being a four or five star accommodation!
The location and views on the property were the best in the entire island. There are no words to describe how incredibly beautiful the views are. Our two room 2 bath accommodations Rooms 9 & 9a were very spacious. We were right beside the owners house with the infinity pool. Our beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. We had a nice view from our patio.
The property is very aged and not well maintained. If it were better taken care of the prices would probably be triple. The owners have at least two German shepherds and they bark and sound like they are fighting other dogs off and on all night long and into the early morning. If we didn’t bring ear plugs we would not have slept at all. Our main bathroom was very old but functional with a huge walk in shower. The second bathroom was kind of gross and no one wanted to use that shower. It really needs to get ripped out and replaced. The staff at the restaurant are not friendly in the slightest and boarder or rude. The food was decent. The main office is in shambles inside with garbage laying around like someone had considered construction years ago and gave up and left everything there. The chairs at the pool were useless. They are probably 40 years old no joke and when you attempt to lay down on them you are just laying on the steel bars. Very painful so it was not possible to lay there and enjoy the pool with the million dollar views they are completely unusable. This was so disappointing!
La vue est sublime !
Location, friendly staff, wonderful chef
Barking dogs
View is everything the property itself needs major improvements
The independently run restaurant seemed poorly operated. Food was ok. My partner got dirty cutlery once. The complementary breakfast was limited. Menu options were unavailable. Distance from rooms to "nice" pool was far. Closer pool was very dirty. We were kicked out of an open common room because it was the "owners house", no signs or staff informed us of this prior.
The infinity pool view
Having to leave.
Vue exceptionnelle
Good compromise price vs value
Nothing it was horrible from the start. There was blood on the walls, random chains hanging from the ceiling, no washing facilities, pools were filthy unusable and there were dogs near the property which barked all night. We were woken up at 4:00am with a loud bang followed by the night manager flashing lights in our room. I woke up to ask what happened along with the other guests and we were ignored. After 3 hours we were informed the water heater broke which caused the noise and then followed by a water pipe bursting. This then ment without telling us that the water will be turned off first thing in the morning. We had to fly that day and asked for a room for or further access to showers and we were denied where they informed us it wasn’t their fault. I’ve travelled a lot both backpacking and first class and I can honestly say this is the worst experience I have ever had. I’m easy going and will put up with a lot when travelling but being lied to and dismissed as a guest is completely unacceptable. They don’t care about guests they don’t care about maintaining the place they are running this place into the ground. I beg other avoid this place at all costs
The view
An amazing view
The View of the Pitons and the Carribean from our balcony was excellent other than that, the place was less than mediocre. Our 1st night the room was horrible, the next morning we complained to the manager Leigh and he upgraded us to a little nicer room in the Cashew House, but not much nicer. If we could have found another available hotel we would have checked out of this place in a flash.
The property is located just above the town of Soufriere and the islands elections were being held a few days after we arrived. Everynight until 11:00 PM the music was so loud . There were dogs barking during the night so we got very little sleep. Very Noisy place. The restaurant on the property had a decent breakfast every morning eggs, toast, coffee, a muffin, bacon or sausage but when we asked for juice we were told 3 mornings in a row no juice. Our last morning there when we arrived several other couples were already eating and they all had juice. We also requested clean towels and linens everyday when we checked in but we repeatedly had to go to the office and ask for clean towels. We also noticed that there is no ice available on the property. We finally had to ask for an ice cube tray to make drinks. House keeping delivered 2 ice cube trays with ice for our fridge and then the next day they removed one of the trays. Also the entry door had no weather stripping at rhe bottom of the door. At nightime you could see light from the exterior lights shining under the door. This made for a little bit of discomfort for us as our 1st room had a giant spider in between the window and the screen so we kept worrying that a spider of some other creepy crawly thing would sneak under the door. If you like animals there was a quail farm on the property along with a horse and donkey and a few cows. Our next to last night there, the power went out right after we turned on a fan in our room, luckily we had just lit a candle so we could see just enough to get out of the place and drive into town. We were also told on line that we could walk to the beach in 10-15 minutes that was not true. In order to get to the beach you would have to walk down the only main highway with no sidewalks or shoulders so you would be walking around hairpin turns with blind spots so you would be taking a huge risk of getting hit by a car. By car it was probably a 10 minute drive to the beach.
A super fun place to stay, we loved the animals and different vegetation being grown around the grounds.
The views were stunning, the staff very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and the verandah with hammock a joy. The infinity pool was a great way to finish the day as the sun set over the Caribbean Sea.
Nothing
Scenic views, local spot. Lovely food. Close to everything. This stay is sure to capture the heart first time here.
House keeping not always consistent. Asked for coconut water many times only once delivered.
We had no issue with anything: The place is beautiful, the staff were more than pleasant and friendly, the view is AMAZING. We also enjoyed the food.
Our stay should have been longer, and it will on our next visit.
The professionalism of the staff
I didn't like that no TV or hairdryer was in my room
Stunning place and welcoming hospitality!
Beautiful view of pitons, nice spacious rooms, lovely staff & delicious breakfast. The fresh mangos from the tree were the best I’ve had so far in St Lucia!
Pools were not clean so we were unable to use.
The location and the staff were excellent.
The smaller pool was never cleaned so we could not use the small pool which was more convenient for us to get to than the other pool. There wasn’t a lot to do at the resort.
The infinity pool and view is incredible!!!! The ac unit was weak but we still were comfortable. Room was beautiful and no bugs! Beautiful views and balcony space
I really loved the free breakfast ! The restaurant and the chef who works there , paid attention to details. The location was also perfect for me because I wanted to be in nature !
Most things ! The pictures were deceiving. The facility is run down ! A lot of work and maintenance needed on this property! The price paid for only 3 nights certainly didn’t match what this hotel has to offer . Pay the few extra bucks and get something of a better standard . I was extremely disappointed
Enjoyed the pool at the bottom; Quietness; private balcony - I spent the most time there.
The small pool at the top was dirty, I could not use it. It was closest to me and I intended to spend more time by the pool. The microwave didn't work. No birthday greeting on arrival.
Views were excellent
The accommodation and facilities. Needs major updating
Friendly receptionist, wonderful view
Restaurant Staff need discrimination and customer service training really spoilt our stay.. property needs refurb could be great.
The view is amazing, spaceous room, kind owner, delicious breakfast, great chef!
Outdated furniture, one of the pools not working, renovation is a must
View was phenomenal!!!! Great bfast! Helpful staff!
Wish the pool was not broken. Grateful to use the owners pool. Many thanks. Wish it could have been used later than 6pm since the pool for guests was unusable. Also the dogs woke us up several times a night.
Really nice location, the grounds are beautiful. Room is a bit outdated, but we got this real colonial feel from it. The view is indescribable, there are no words - absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast was great, the staff were very kind.
It was a bit noisy.
The bed and shower were the best features, also the infinity pool was well placed, you could see the view of the Pitons and the town of Soufriere, the breakfast was good even though you could only choose 2 options out of 4, we had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and this was very good, I would recommend eating at this restaurant
The decor, furniture and the building overall was very tired and dated, the furniture was very dated and mis-matched, there was a small kitchenette in the room and a fridge which was great for storing drinks, there was also air conditioning in the room and that was a saving grace even though I still got bitten by mosquitos, I did see cobwebs on the wall and ceiling of our room, which has not been included in the overall cleaning of the room, the building is made of wood and has rooms on the ground and 1st floor, we were situated on the ground floor and above us was a couple, who were very heavy footed when walking this caused issues for us especially when they returned after a night out, very annoying and we complained but could not move due to sell out bookings!
The view was amazing, probably one of the best views of the Pitons! Beds were also comfortable.
The rooms were dated, which I knew from other reviews. That in itself would have been okay. However, both nights of our stay we were woken by dogs, not just barking, but howling like coyotes for a period of time. The staff said that they were owned by neighbors and there was nothing they could do. I believe that some of the wandering, stray dogs seen all over the island had joined in the first night. Another annoyance was that we were told breakfast started at 7:00. We went shortly after 7 and were told that the chef wasn’t there yet and to try again at 8:00. We were trying to get out for a hike early to beat the heat so we ended up skipping breakfast that day. Breakfast was good and hearty the next day.
Beautiful views of the bay and Pitons and property but not well kept. We stayed in the Cashew King room and the door handle on the balcony door was broken (used key to open it). The bathroom and the linen were not very clean. The rug was also dirty. Breakfast was good and served in a nice area with Pitons views and friendly staff. There is a nice infinity pool with stunning views if you decide to stay in for the sunset + dinner. The location is also good, few min from town. If you stay in this area go to Mango Tree and Treetop for dinner. Overall, I found it overpriced for the condition and cleanliness but still enjoyable, especially for the nature around it and views.
Room was not very clean and could use some renovations and adjustments
The views from the resort were spectacular. Really lovely infinity pool, although it's a hike to get to it. (The pool closer to the main building was out of service.) The staff were warm and welcoming. It's a great location on the island -- close to lots of activities like hikes, the volcano, mineral and mud baths, etc. Our rooms had air conditioning, which was appreciated.
The rooms were very basic and outdated. The facilities (steps, pathways, main building) could use an upgrade. The breakfast, which was included, is fine but gets repetitive if you're there for more than a day or two as there are no other options besides eggs, toast, muffin and fruit.
Location and view
Facilities need improvement
The garden area was absolutely gorgeous and the views were to die for. The room was comfortable and the balcony was big.
The property is magnificent. The room was huge, clean, nicely appointed. The food was outstanding. Breakfasts included were absolutely wonderful. The chef could make special items on request. All staff were the best.
My stay was not long enough.
Place all abit tired and feels unloved. Checked in late, had no idea we were coming. Security guard did a great job sorting room out. Restaurant on site is outstanding and good value for quality of food. Pool good but generally everything just falling apart. Views unbelievable.
Views from balcony
Strained bed sheets, dust on bed, flush not working
I stayed at this hotel with my wife and 3 kids, if you want a real nice stay with the best view on the island this is the place. The staff were all friendly and nothing was a problem. See you again guys before we leave the island 🏝 👌🏼🙏🏼🇬🇧🇱🇨❤💯 Also just quickly the rooms are massive all with air-conditioning, see ya !
Beautiful view of the Pitons! The infinity pool (in the main photos) is a bit of a trek from the main bit of the hotel but worth a visit.
They downgraded our room without telling us in advance, we were meant to be in a cottage (as a family with a baby) and instead were put in 1 bedroom with very few curtains. No real explanation was given by staff. They also failed to tell us that they were hosting a wedding and we were now right next to the venue with blaring music. Whole place needs an upgrade and is pretty run down. Sadly not worth the money.
The view from the balcony, pool and restaurant are just amazing, you could not ask for more. The people are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large are comfortable with nice big bed and soft pillows.
It’s a little dated and tired in places, but this is reflected in the price and the views and staff make it amazing.
