Everything about this hotel was excellent

Ein tolles Hotel mit toller Lage. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Bay View Fenster - war traumhaft. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Zimmer war sauber und die Betten sehr gemütlich. Es befinden sich sowohl ein paar Pubs als auch der Strand ganz in der Nähe. Parkmöflichkeiten gibt es an der Straße.

Die Badewanne im Zimmer hatte einen sehr hohen Einstieg, für ältere Menschen eher schwierig.

Lovely rooms, wonderful staff, excellent bar and restaurant. All of the meals were delicious. Location right in the center of town across from beach.

There is no parking lot, but luckily there were plenty of parking spaces on the street around the hotel because it was the end of the season.

Nice atmosphere, helpful staff, good location, breakfast had good options.

Very central and boy what a view!! It’s a little “Oldy worldly” but it’s a proper hotel. Food in Hickies Bar superb and breakfast even better.

I travelled solo- room was absolutely perfect for my needs but would’ve been a little tight if my husband joined me!! Sockets a little weirdly located…had trouble plugging in the kettle…. En suite also a little tight… but was perfect for my needs on a 1 nighter.

Sehr nettes Hotel und freundlicher Empfang. Hatten ein Familienzimmer für 2 Personen erhalten, also genug Platz! Essen im Restaurant war top, es wurde frisch gekocht und das Service war toll. Nicht weit weg von den Cliffs, guter Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern oder Radfahren.

El hotel y el pueblo en sí parecen sacados de una historia de Agatha Christie. La habitación preciosa, con dos camas dobles para los tres, y un baño grande y limpio. Nos dejaron una botella de agua a cada uno todos los días, y teníamos una cafetera en la habitación también, por si no eres muy fan del café americano. El desayuno perfecto, tienes una carta y lo preparan en el momento. Frente a la playa por lo que el paseo hasta los acantilados se hace muy amable.

Beautiful hotel in a great location with lovely staff and very clean.

De ligging, vlak aan het strand, was perfect. Het ontbijt en diner waren erg goed.

Wij hadden een kamer op de begane grond, aan de straatkant. Dat gaf nogal wat geluidshinder ‘s avonds en in de nacht.

A nice comfortable room with a side seaview

Sadly we didn't receive very good customer service, we wanted to have dinner in the hotel or bar, plenty of empty tables seemed available but recommended by waitress to try other eating establishments in the town as they were busy or return in an hour and a half and hopefully we may get a table but couldn't guarantee it. We did find an alternative lovely place to eat which we would recommend. A great shame as the hotel is lovely and in a fabulous location, although we thought quite expensive, customer service could be improved for residents.

The hotel is in an excellent location so close to the seafront. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to order and absolutely delicious.

We had room 114 which is very spacious. However the bathroom would really benefit from a shelf or small storage unit as there's nowhere to put your toiletries. The hotel doesn't have a car park. We were lucky and found parking very close by but for some this may prove tricky.

Tolle Lage im Zentrum und köstliches Frühstück à la Carte. Bett war bequem und sauber.

Der versprochene Meerblick war nur seitlich und mann musste sich ans Fenster beugen ums Meer zu sehen. Es gab Tee und Kafeezubehör aber keinen Wasserkocher.

Building is right across the street from the beach.

We reserved a “sea view” room several months in advance, but were not given a sea view room. It was stated in our “amenities” and we documented what was listed. Our room faced the street and roof. It was a “bait and switch” situation. After several calls and emails from us and booking.com the hotel refused to give us a “sea view” room because they gave it to someone else. They also curtly refused to adjust the rate that we paid. We traveled over from the US and this was our only stay on the beach for our whole trip so my kids and I were tremendously disappointed. If we would’ve known that we wouldn’t get the room and view we purchased, we would have went somewhere else!

Excellent stay in Bayview hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and we had the bonus of a sea view. Breakfast is very generous with freshly cooked food and lots of choice, Would highly recommend a stay here

Comfortable homely friendly hotel, location perfect to explore Kilkee with seaview from every window, Breakfast lovely especially French toast, all staff we met were very friendly.

Rooms weren't soundproof, could hear next doors telly clearly, but it wasn't a major problem as it's an old building

The bed was uncomfortable. The noise factor in house was very high, with doors banging from very early in the morning. Room, far too compact. No table in room.

Overall, we had a lovely stay. The family room was very spacious with two large beds, which made travelling with our 8-month-old much easier. The view from the room was beautiful, and our daughter loved looking out the window. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and we really appreciated the 1:00 p.m. late check-out, which made a big difference when travelling with a young baby.

The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. One of our favourite parts of staying in a hotel is enjoying a continental breakfast buffet where you can help yourself to different cereals, pastries, fruit and juices before your cooked breakfast. At the Bay View Hotel, everything had to be ordered from a menu instead. While we could choose what we wanted, it didn't feel like the kind of setup where you could comfortably ask for another juice, try a different cereal or have another pastry. We missed the relaxed experience of being able to help yourself and go back for more, and it made the breakfast feel much more limited than we would usually expect from a hotel stay. The room itself was comfortable, but the carpet was very old and had quite a few noticeable stains. It looked like it had seen better days and could really do with being replaced or given a deep clean. The only other issue was that we noticed the glasses in our room had dried coffee stains on them. We spotted this late at night, so we didn't mention it to staff, but it did make us question the attention to housekeeping, and we chose not to use them.

Love the Bay View. We stay there everytime we come to Kilkee.
