Luxurious and spacious. Everything immaculate. A superb games room with pool table, huge bathroom and comfy beds. The outside terrace was brilliant for an evening drink. Location was excellent, a stone’s throw from the centre of Ieper. Our host Ina was exceptionally friendly and showed us around the property with warmth and good humour. Great that there was an allocated, free, parking space just round the corner in a secure compound.

The face that we were only staying two nights meant that we couldn’t continue enjoying our stay!

The house was immaculate, spacious and in a fantastic location.The host met us at the property and gave us a full tour. She also came to the house as we were leaving, to inspect the property. The lounge area and games room are particularly good places to unwind . It was exactly what we'd hoped for. Next time we'd possible take our motorcycles, as there's room in the garage for bikes and kit too, which is very rare.

There really wasn't much to dislike , hence the 10/10. However we were there in extreme heat and there's no Aircon in the bedrooms (fans were provided) and the closest bathroom to the bedrooms is on the floor below. This wasn't an issue for us but could be for other people.

The free parking space is a real bonus

We loved the house, it was huge, with plenty of room for us. It was very clean and well kept and it had all of the amenities that you need when staying, especially in the kitchen. It was a particularly hot few days when we stayed and the bottom and middle floors have an air conditioning unit. The highlight for us was the American sized pool table, which we used a lot during our stay. The lounge area had a decent sized TV with Netflix and Disney+ available. The location was excellent, right near the main town square with just a few minutes walking. There were even a couple of excellent bars just a minute or so walk from the house which we also made use of, notably Mary's Irish Pub and Kaffee Bazaar. The owner was very friendly and polite and she made us feel very welcome and she also showed us around the house when we arrived. She also showed us a gated parking space which was a 1 minute walk away. There is some parking right outside of the house (which you have to pay for), but you get 30 minutes free to unload your car. We will definitely be staying again and we highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Ypres.

It was unusually hot weather when we stayed so the rooms at the top were quite warm over night as they don't have air conditioning, but there were several fans available to keep us cool. The windows also had fly screens so they could be opened which actually helped cool the rooms down quite a bit. There is no bathroom on the top floor, but it didn't bother us at all, and it is typical with a lot of Belgian town houses, and others we have stayed at have been the same.

The house was immaculate! Absolutely spotless. The property was much bigger than we had anticipated and so well equipped. Having a pool table was a treat and provided a lot of fun, also a full sauna room with bath robes. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware. Everywhere was spacious and comfortable and was furnished with style and quality. The location was ideal, very quiet but only a two minute walk to the Grote Markt with a wide choice of restaurants. Approx 12 minute walk to Menin Gate. Having secure gated parking near by was a bonus. We stayed as an adult family and we would highly recommend this property. Having been to Ieper a number of times this would now be my first choice accommodation.

Compleet huis, zelfs met pooltafel, op perfecte locatie. Eigenaren super vriendelijk, gaven allerhande tips, super schoon. Echt een aanrader!

What’s not to like !!

Wat een ontzettend mooie locatie. Hartelijke persoonlijke ontvangst en ook een persoonlijk contact met naar huis gaan. Huis ontzettend schoon en kwalitatief in orde.

Ina was een zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame host. Ze heeft ons bij aankomst onmiddelijk een rondleiding gegeven. Het huis is zeer mooi en gezellig ingericht. Je moet bijna niets zelf van thuis meenemen. Er zijn handdoeken, washandjes, lakens, afwasproduct en tabs voor de vaatwasser en wasmachine, toiletpapier, .... Er waren zelfs kruiden ( peper, zout, ...) en koffie en filterzakjes in de keuken. Het huis is ook ideaal gelegen. Vlakbij de Markt en de Menenpoort. De Ierse pub vlakbij is ook echt een aanrader. Dat er ook een gratis parkeerplaats vlakbij is, is ook echt wel een groot pluspunt.

Omdat mijn ouders ( beide +80 jaar) er ook bij waren, was het wel een nadeel dat er geen toilet op de verdieping van de slaapkamers was. Maar dat wisten we op voorhand.

Alles was piekfijn in orde. Vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen.

An excellent location, being within a short walk from the city centre, and just along from Kaffee Bazaar, a very good bar. The property is in immaculate condition, throughout, and has several features such as a pool table and sauna, which you would not normally expect. The hosts, Ina and Joost were very friendly and welcoming and communicated very well regarding arrangements for access.

Large spacious period house, finished to very high standard, very clean, centrally located in a quiet street off the main square.

The location of the property was superb and the hosts had thought of everything. Private parking space was ideal and the sauna/ pool table was the icing on the cake! Martin’s house is the best property we have stayed in.

Maybe, mention the steep steps for mobility issues

We contacted our hosts about 30 minutes before arrival, so that they could meet us. This all went well. On arrival we were greeted and shown all around the house to make sure we knew where everything was. They even showed me to a private, secure parking space very near the property. The house was recently renovated and all the contents were brand new. Everything was 'smart' including the kettle! A great touch was the pool table on the ground floor which kept us occupied for hours. There was a fully kitted second kitchen/utility room on the ground floor, a spacious kitchen diner and living room on the first floor, as well as luxury bathroom and sauna! On the second floor were three very comfortable bedrooms with lovely views towards the centre of the town.

It would have been helpful to have a toilet on the second floor with the bedrooms, as the staircase was very steep making night time visits a little hazardous. It wasn't a problem at the time but having to draw cash for the deposit turned out to be an expensive exercise when changing back to £s. Perhaps there could be another way to pay the deposit? I didn't need cash for anything else.

Everything. Very nice, well presented, clean, perfect location. Ina and Joost were extremely helpful and made us feel at home. Perfect base for sightseeing the local area and amenities and very comfortable to relax there.

Wonderful location and very nice hosts. The flat was amazing and there is so much to do in the Ypres area that we didn't even have time to use the sauna or play pool. Would definitely recommend!!

There was no toilet on the top floor where the bedrooms are which meant going down steep narrow stepped stairs during the night and a low and wobbly banister doesn’t bode well.
