Fantastic location- we took a sleeper bus from Da Nang and asked to be let off about 20-30 minutes before the Lao Bao order stop. The views are phenomenal, staff is nothing short of amazing, great food, strong wifi (super important since I work remote), cold A/C, no complaints- great stop to make when doing a border run. On check out we were able to easily get a taxi to the border early in the am. Can't recommend this place enough.

No complaints. I'm terrified of bugs and being in a jungle tree house of course there's going to be some, but they all stayed outside so that was a blessing, if any bugs did make it in we had a few little geckos doing a good job eating them because i can happily report i had 0 bug/mosquito bites which i did not expect considering.

Spectacular view (seriously, it’s unreal)! Air conditioning and a fan in the room. You can order food and drinks at the property which is very convenient.

Không khí rất dễ chịu vào buổi sáng, cafe khe sanh ngon nha, nghe nhân viên nói home tự trồng và rang cafe luôn nên là cafe sạch và nguyên chất. Sẽ quay lại nếu có dịp

Nhân viên dễ thương, quán có chú chó tên Vàng và bé mèo cute lắm, thấy mình là vẫy đuôi chạy quanh. Mình đi đúng ngày gió lớn chiều 4h mưa to luôn. Chiều tối mát mẻ cực. Home gần đường lớn nên tối xe đi lại hơi ồn nha, nhưng tổng thể thì vẫn rất ok nè.

Điềm trừ là hơi nhiều kiến lửa ở ngoài nhưng phòng ấm áp và khô ráo. Vẫn oke nha

The bathroom that I had wasn’t the best, but it’s okay

The air is fresh and pleasant. It’s close to the highway, so there are many vehicles and it can be a bit noisy. The coffee and matcha are very delicious. The room is a little small but still comfortable, suitable for 2–3 people.

The view is absolutely stunning. You can wake up early and go cloud hunting. The staff are friendly, and the room is comfortable and relaxing. I will definitely come back next time.

I saw mixed reviews about this place, so I planned to stay here for one night for the view and then move on to a "good" hotel. Of course, I ended up staying two nights here! It's better than any hotel. Everything here is absolutely wonderful. Wonderful cozy cottages, incredible views, and it's very peaceful. Good location. There's hot (really hot!) water, delicious food at good prices. Oh my god, even the matcha is delicious!! It can get cold at night, but the room had big, warm blankets, and I was comfortable. There's a cute dog and cat running around nearby, and in the morning I saw squirrels and a huge lizard sunbathing peacefully next to me. It's paradise. The staff is very friendly, wonderful people. I was very lucky to stay here!

There's a big road nearby, so you can hear cars at night. But it's quite comfortable to sleep! :)

Our stay at this location in Retro Khe Sanh was absolutely fantastic! From the service which was truly amazing. Our host was extremely proactive and responsive, always quick to answer all our questions which made planning our trip and our time there so much smoother and more enjoyable. And the view overlooking the mountains – wow! It was simply breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for our mornings and evenings. The staff were friendly and the food and coffee were delicious. This is a great location away from the city but still close enough to meet your needs. I would definitely come back again.

The place is stunning. There isn’t much to do in the town but relax. I stopped here before I rode my bike more. The room was clean, good aircon, good WiFi, insane view. They have food at the place and it’s good.

Good choice for a short stay and sightseeing at the nearby Khe Sanh Combat Base.

The views are spectacular, staff is friendly and helpful but the room was pretty rancid and not clean. Also the place sits next to a busy road and the walls are very thin, make sure you bring earplugs, otherwise it will be hard to sleep. All in all a bit overpriced and slightly falling apart, does not match the Instagram pictures at all, must do better.

The rooms seem a little unfinished. Our room had an exhaust fan into the kitchen from our bathroom which didn’t seem hygienic. Also the roof was very low in the bathroom so we had to bend over while showering.

Very convenient and charming place. The view is nice . Ok it’s a bit old and noisy. It would need rénovation. But the people are very nice and helpfull. Food is good

Was convenient for my travel plans. Had a nice view, even though it was a foggy day. Very friendly, cute cat that wanted attention. The bed comforter was warm (temperature was cold).

It’s seen better days. The place needs maintenance and repairs. The walkways are made of wooden boards that are very slippery when wet, and with holes in many places. There is litter laying around that needs cleaning. It’s right on the highway and trucks are very loud here.

It's typical scam in Vietnam. Beautifully photos from the opening day. But once you are there everything is falling apart and is dirty as hell. Mould everywhere, old dirty curtains, dirty bedsheet.

Place feels like it could use some maintenance. Also the huts get a bit cold at night but this is expected in winter time, so just dress something warm

The food was so good! And the view of course. And when we arrived soaking wet after a day in the rain on the bike, they tumble dried our pants for free - the biggest gift! We slept great! I'd say this is perfect for at least one night in Khe Sanh - the location is beautiful but it's not really close to anything else (as far as we could gather), so look forward to chilling with a beautiful view.

This isn't reallly an issue but the 'room' is kinda small sith little place to put your bags if not on the floor. Happy they provided lots of hangers!

Staff were really nice and they make delicious mango smoothies. The view is also great to see.

Unfortunately the place was very run down. There is potential for it to be a really nice hotel but the cleanliness and buildings need to be maintained much better. The room had no ventilation and it was damp inside. Because of this there was mould on the walls. It is also not sealed properly so bugs can get inside. It's a shame because I can imagine it was once (when it was new) a nice place to stay. The bed was also very uncomfortable. Hard mattress, felt like sleeping on the floor.

The place needs a makeover. Yes the view is amazing, but everything else is not. The cabin we stayed in was raw and rotten, and it didn’t feel clean. All day and all night there is constant honking from the trucks driving up the hill.

The terrace in the back and the great view

It was not a clean place: arrived in the room I found a cat sleeping in the bed (I love them by the way), and as well as a rat shit behind the pillow, I said it all. The girl offered to change, and at least this is fair. Furthermore, the same cat was sitting on the coffee machine (cup heather to be clear) the morning after…guys I m a wild traveler but certain minimal rules of hospitality need to be there.

Stayed in room two. Seemed run down, needs renovation. Dirty walls in room, needs a good clean and some new paint. Bathroom door completely off hinges, need fixing. Curtains ripped, reduced privacy. Food on plates left out on ground outside reception the entire stay. Some decking needed replacing, holes in places. Ordered veg pizza, not very appetising. Shame as I'm sure it was a lovely place when new. Sadly I wouldn't choose to stay there again.

Rooms are extremely small, fine for 1-2 nights only; bathroom was diỉty (like walls were disgusting to hung the toơel next to it 😓) and the room was wet due to weak ventilation and no windows to be open; girls at the reception (bar, restaurant: they do all there) seemed really tired + struggled a lot with English (we know some basic Vietnamese so it was fine, but still I felt bad for them)

The view was incredible and the place was so peaceful. Also the staff, especially the owner, were so accommodating and friendly.

If you cleared the tables quicker it would avoid rubbish being blown by the wind and on the floor/out into the environment. We spotted quite a bit of rubbish that had flown off the property and down the mountains. Alternatively, bins outside would be a great touch so that we could throw our rubbish/cups away after we’re done.

I could not rate Retro Khe Sanh highly enough. The rooms are clean, service is great and the views are fantastic. The coffee is very good (home grown from the owners coffee plantation nearby) and there are plenty of food options for meat eaters and vegetarians. I had been in a motorbike accident the day of the booking and the very kind owner, Hung, did everything he could do make my stay as comfortable as possible as soon as I arrived - even driving me to the hospital for medical treatment over three days. I would have stayed longer at Retro Khe Sanh if I could! Thank you Hung and the team for making my stay so comfortable and memorable 💜

Really peaceful setting and the view is amazing!! The bed was so comfortable and we got our own bathroom with hot water and you can look out on the view from there, it was perfect. The staff are brilliant, so kind and helpful. Really good value for money too!

The homestay has a great view and atmosphere, but the rooms are all infested with hundreds of bugs and insects everywhere. Was a very uncomfortable night of sleep listening to the bugs and insects flying around and crawling in the room.

One of our favorite accommodations on our Vietnam trip! The little bungalows were very unique and the view is just amazing! The entire outside area was very cozy. The staff was very friendly and the food we’ve had was great. On top of everything there’s also some very cute puppies and a cat hanging around!

I don't know where to start. First of all the greatest view ever. The motel is literally on the edge of beautiful river valley. To the left You can see Khe Sanh battlefield plateau. Most friendly people I've ever met. In fact after leaving Retro Khe Sanh I got myself in a little trouble. The owner came for me, invited to a coffee, while I was waiting for another mean of transportation. I really respect that kind of attitude.

This was my second time staying here and it’s been great both times. It’s a perfect place to stay on your motorbike trip. It has a great view and comfortable rooms. Highly recommend!

It is a very nice place to stay. The staff and owner are very friendly, the rooms nice and clean and the view is great! I had a very good coffee there as well and rice with vegetables which was delicious.

In the morning it is a bit noisy because the street is next to it, but if you stand up early it's no problem ;)

The terrace has stunning view, it was amazing to have dinner and to chill there. The bungalow itself was clean and comfortable with valley view.
