Sunrise Guesthouse and Inn, Panglao

Location is good, everything is good even the host is wonderful and accommodating to her guest.

The only passage to go to the beach is only a 100 meters away. the only thing was the owner of the resort is not allowing my family to pass through and when we are explaining how conveniet it is to pass there rather than going to other side of the beach she still insist and even call her guards to stay away and accusing the male kids that they're drunk and using marijuana while she never ever even got down to see and smell us.

Great value for us a group of 8. The dorm-type room with 8 beds is perfect! We also cooked our own food in the kitchen which is a plus.

The dirt road is easy to miss. Driver had a hard time looking for the guesthouse. Signage at the hiway is not noticeable.

We greeted with a smile and warm welcome from the caretaker of the Airbnb. She introduced herself (apologies, I totally forgot her name) and showed us around the property. She’s very accommodating, so thank you. The property was very clean and well maintained. At the end of our stay, the caretaker gave us a few coconut as a treat. A very kind gesture.

A couple of things that didn’t work. First is the refrigerator and the second was the microwave. I have reported it to the caretaker and made aware of the faults. She said she will report the broken appliances to the owner.

Jovelyn is a super hostess. She helped us solve many local issues from booking tricycles to negotiating prices. She and her husband run a very nice French Bistro near Alona Beach. We enjoyed the lunch and backery very much. The house is near South Palms Beach, one of the best seaside sections in Panglao. We watched splendid sunset and sunrise there.

The place is a little remote -- about 10min from Alona beach and without a very clear landmark nearby. You might need to navigate for tricycle drivers, most of whom do not know how to use Google maps.
