Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Appearance is nice. Exactly as described in the photos. The rooms are close to each other, and we booked the family room as we need breathing space and the patio to relax. However, when other guests are there too noisy. The water pressure is too low, and it takes so much time to take a bath, no space to keep the soap in that spacious bathroom, and it damages the sink area wooden top. We were excited in the beginning with the looks of it, as we wanted to celebrate our anniversary. It's not worth the money. Tea and coffee are available without a kettle to boil water. Comfy beds and linens. Quite far from the main town area; aproximately 17mins drive by own vehicle.
Low water pressure Noisy when other guests are around the lobby area (it's beyond their control, though) No kettle to boil water for tea or coffee. (It would have been convenient early in the morning if one had arranged it) Not worth it for the fee

The owner contacted us at the last minute requesting to cancel the booking, claiming he had already accepted another reservation. This was inaccurate, as the property was still showing as available on Booking.com at that time. He may have taken a booking through another platform, but this behavior was highly unprofessional and inappropriate, particularly as we had carefully planned our trip with an infant.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2025Loved how calm and quiet it was, even though it’s right in the heart of the city. Nuwara Wewa was just a short walk away for a refreshing dip, and the place is close to all the sights in the city. It had all the basic necessities we needed, so everything felt comfortable and easy. The caretakers were super friendly and welcoming, and the two cute dogs were such a delight, adding a lovely touch to our stay.
Honestly, nothing – everything was just perfect.

Reviewed Jan 2, 2025Great location. Care takers were very friendly and supportive. Bonus points for the care taker couple as they tried their best to make our stay comfortable. Rooms were clean.
It was advertised as a restaurant and shared kitchen. Even the signage at the entrance has restaurant symbol but no restaurant and kitchen facilities available. But the care takers were nice enough to help us and offered the kitchen to heat up and prepare meals for my son who is 1.5 year old. Bathrooms were basic, chairs at the lounge area is not very comfortable. Pillows on the bed were hard and not very comfortable.
